Every time i do a search to see if a service is covered there. There id nothing . . Dental service just eants to pull out my teeth not fix them. Completely useless insurance if you don't have a child

Ryan VanderVeen

Epitome of why government should not be involved in providing health insurance.

So disappointed, frustrated, and at a major loss. We had no issues with Molina until we got pregnant and I changed my status to pregnant. Then all hell broke loose. I was apparently dropped from our plan which I, reasonably so, am the main person needing coverage. Worse- they upgraded our plan without us knowing and we are paying the same premium amount for just my husband. I've called about 6 times each of which receiving COMPLETELY different information and them explaining I need to talk to the Health Exchange. When I call the exchange they say we need to speak with Molina. Completely stuck and at a loss. I have no idea who to talk to get this resolved.

When you need help be ready for them to transfer you to every place on Earth only to say it's someone else's fault. Complete idiots. Absolutely unhelpful. I knew insurance companies are pretty incompetent but this one takes the gold.

These people like to challenge the doctor's knowledge and authority to write prescriptions for the patient. They have delayed the filling of the meds, they have questioned the dosages and refused to fill unless reduced. They expect doctors to know BEFORE seeing a patient what meds will be prescribed and the doctor must pre-authorize these meds with the insurance co. before they will consider filling the prescription. It take weeks to get thru the process. Meanwhile, no meds for the patient. They obstruct more than they provide. But they will raise the rates every year while doing even less than before. Healthcare insurance in America is a huge joke.

Terrible place to work. Molina is a passive aggressive culture where the employees basically kick each other under the bus out of spite towards management. Management is dysfunctional and out of touch with reality. They bully the workers with rude comments. Molina Healthcare is a creepy place.

I’m only 18 and still in school, I need a root canal how am I suppose to focus in school when I can’t take my mind off my hurting tooth. This insurance doesn’t work with most places. I’ve had a old school painful dentist and because I said no one time he won’t give me anymore root canals. I have no where to go except one place and I don’t see them for the xrays until over a month!!!, How am I going to survive this pain. Worst insurance ever. Get another one if your serious about your teeth. It’s better to pay out of pocket instead of feeling with this insurance.

My husband needs a procedure done he has a hernia and you refused him a CAT Scan so the DR. can see how big and bad it is, so he will have to continue to work in pain and possibly obtain more damage. This is a load of crap. Give him the procedure his Dr is asking for before my husband ends up in the ER !!!!! His Dr asked for the procedure for a reason. Molina is not a DR. you are ins. If a Dr. wants a procedure done there is a good reason. Stop acting like your Dr.s.....

Called in asking about some specific coverage, customer service representative was helpful and friendly and answered my questions fully. No complaints

Been on hold for 57 minute of now, to ask a question! Horrible service

Julie Dreams

If there was less than one star I would be sure to give it. At one point, they terminated me for non payment although I was all paid up and on time, and it violates their own rules for termination for those receiving a subsidy. They required me to fax proof of payment from my bank instead of doing their own jobs. The customer service was a nightmare of questionable junior staffers who show no initiative or caring. They will call you - then put you on hold for a painfully long time before transferring you to someone who has no idea who you are or what is going on. The musac they use is very painful and repetitive, it starts to poison your subconcious, but they don't care. If they ask you to hold for 'a moment' they could leave you for 30 minutes or more instead of offering to call back. They also gave me bad information about my mammogram not being covered unless I went to mobile pop up event in a parking lot 5 hours from where I live. A simple phone call to the Seattle Breast Center would have cleared it up but that was more initiative than can be mustered by the molina staff. I am a healthy marketplace customer who should be considered an asset and the treatment I have received from Molina has been horrible. I have switched to Lifewise and so far they have been great.

This provider doesn't even warrant 1 star! Unfortunately there are few healthcare providers for our family of four to chose from and Molina was the only company that accommodated our fairly simple coverage preferences. From their over priced rates, ongoing billing errors to their lousy customer service, they are simply incompetent and there is no 'care' whatsoever in their healthcare services. Like thousands of other customers, we seem to have little choice but to put up with it and don't they know it!

Shelby Welch

If we are trusting doctors to approve test and imaging request, can you guys get doctors who actually read the notes. I just got denied by David Harris because he THINKS I'm getting the test again but I never had it done so it was a renewal. I have to wait weeks and weeks to find out if something is wrong with my heart because your doctor cant do his job

After signing up for an account December and calling this company every week for 3 months trying to find out why her application wasn't being processed and why her ticket was "On Hold", my girlfriend finally received a bill and confirmation that her account had been instated. However when she tried to pay the bill she was told me account had been terminated for failure to pay in January! How could she have paid when she did NOT have an account? She called this company every week for 3 months and was NEVER told she needed to pay any kind of fee. Now she is being told they cannot re-instate her account, even though she is willing to back pay for 2 months that she was not even covered! Molina is an awful company and I highly recommend against using their "services." This company is going to cost my girlfriend $700 in fees from the government because of a technical issue processing her application. Additionally their customer service representatives are incredibly unhelpful, dodging any direct questions I have that imply Molina was at fault in any way.

Great place to work. They look out for those less fortunate.

Dave B

Trying to get a rebate from them after service has been terminated is about as close to impossible as you're ever going to get. If you ever have the misfortune of doing business with these people, good luck, you're going to need it. I gave them one star because that's the minimum that this rating system will allow.

Katy Freiberg

I believe Molina Healthcare is amazing. They have really helped me get through my life healthy and cared for. THANK YOU Molina

Heather Finch

Absolutely the most negligent insurance company I've ever worked with. They force my partner (who has molina), to get his prescriptions through Accredo Specialty Pharmacy. Accredo has taken 3+ weeks to fill my partners life-sustaining prescription, and even though our local Fred Meyer has the prescription on shelf, Molina refuses to approve getting the prescription from Fred Meyer. Due to this, my partner is in excruciating pain, and we are still waiting for Accredo to fill the prescription. EDIT- although Molina has replied to my review, they were unable to do anything different when I contacted them, and my partner is still waiting for his medication.

The customer service is basically non-existent. I have been with the same Dr. for 16 years and she is in their network. They assigned me a PCP that isn't accepting new patients. I have tried for 4 months to get my PCP changed. I just opened the mail for my new card and it still has the wrong Dr. on it so I have to sit on hold AGAIN to try to correct it. I have also completed the change online more than once. What is wrong with these people?

JOSH BENNETT: They Did the Same thing to Me. Canceled Me for No Reason at All. Now They make it Seem like it is my fault. This is Washington State, Why Am I NOT Surprised that they treat the poor like we are less than Animals and Don't even Deserve Decent Communication. Now I Cannot have Healthcare. They Gave Me the Wrong information; I follow their instructions, And NOW I am Without Insurance for them NOT doing their Jobs Right. Typical of Washington State institutions to do that (to the poor).

Julie Bussard

The customer service is aweful. I called and left a message over a week ago. I have not received a return call. My continuing the WW program is at a stand still unless I pay for it. I have done my part by providing all the documentation. They are the worst I have dealt with.

Analeah Tulayan

Customer service sucks! Waited for 30-1 hour on the phone just to talk to the agent and they’re not even helpful! Hang you up on the phone and don’t give you answers.

Tailani

Healthcare wise they're great. I've never had to pay a single cent. Customer service wise though? None of the numbers work. You have to keep listening to bots and no matter how many times you say you would like to speak to a representative, you won't get a chance. As long as you don't need to change anything to your plan you're fine. God forbid you move out of town though...

More like negative a star...or 10. I have been trying to get my life threatening medication filled for 2 months...without success. This insurance company is the worst. They will bury your doctor in paperwork, and will run circles to avoid paying for medication...ISN'T THAT THEIR PRIMARY FUNCTION AS A BUSINESS????!! AVOID BEING ENROLLED WITH THIS COMPANY AT ALL COST...cause quite frankly..it will cost you. They have not denied anything...they can't, there is no reason to, so they buried my doctor in paperwork that he has submitted twice and phone calls he had to make to them telling them my need for this medication...and as to date they say they still don't have anything showing in their system. I give up...I cannot get my medication I guess..which puts my life in grave danger. Good JOB MOLINA! I have spent approx. 5 hour a week on hold with you for 2 months...that is 40+ hours, 40 LUNCH BREAKS FROM WORKING SPENT ON YOU. Maybe I should bill you!!! Jennifer Hays Carson WA

Darcy Eggeman

Horrible. I have been with them for a year. My account shows auto pay, but didn't auto pay. I went to help page - it wasn't even in English. No way to contact them for help. Worst ever. Also, my Doctor quit the practice and I didn't find out for 6 months. And then, they sent me a new ID card with the same Doctor - who 2 months before they told me left (moved to Idaho)! Crazy Stupid

Calling is horrible can’t get a person can’t get anything done it’s very annoying

I just called them four times. Every time music stopped playing in maybe five minutes, and I didn't know if I am still on the line. Then in a minute another music started playing. That pause was weird. Then I've heard a ring... and it seemed like someone answered me, but I couldn't hear anything. I tried to talk, but no answer. On the forth attempt a guy answered me (he was nice), saying that the system is down at the moment and asked me to call them back within one hour. I would say, it is not a good customer service - technical issues affect it too much. I guess, unfortunately, I need to switch to a different health insurance company. Update: I called them in one hour and I spoke with a customer service representative Jessica. She was very friendly and helpful. Even she didn't find any of my old doctors on Molina networks list, she did help me out to find other doctors near me. Thank you Jessica!

If I could give negative points for this provider I would. They should be ashamed to call themselves health care providers. The government needs to shut them down, total waste of tax payers money. I am included in those tax payers. They would rather have mentally ill on the streets using street drugs than pay for their prescriptions. Shame on you! Plus I was hung up on when I called them out on scamming the our tax money.

I have used Molina for about 2 years, have had breast cancer, fat graphing to fill in where cancer was, oophorectomy, several MRI's, xray's, radiation, etc. I have never been denied any procedure. Yes there are physical therapy and other things they want you to try beforehand, but I have never had a problem.

Josh Bennett

I am giving Molina 0 stars if I could. It has been a nightmare to begin with signing on on the Washington State Healthcare Finder (which the customer service with them is bad too!) I get terminated from my plan without any notice via mail, phone, or online. Trying to figure out to reinstate and pay is also a nightmare. They will not get anything from me, horrible customer skills. Contact an Attorney or the BBB (which I did both) to fight this nonsense.

Chaya Kostelicki

Surgery needed since 2002 isn't even scheduled, probably never will be. For every hoop they want me to jump through, they give me six more to jump through. They want me to see this doctor who doesn't want to do surgery and failed to address the neck and coccyx injuries, which is what I went to him for. It looks to me that they're doing this maliciously. I've arranged for several people to loose their licenses to practice because my pain level is so high that I am cracking teeth. Pain control is severely lacking, which is fine in that I don't want to be addicted. Yes, the will cover addiction treatment, but inpatient treatment would cause me to loose housing, and I'd need someone to care for my pup

I have gotten just about the worst healthcare from Molina, that is even possible to imagine. It is finally at the point I am saving money to file a civil tort action against them for a great many of the problems I've seen in the 65 reviews I read. Rather then fill pages of all the issues they have created, I just noticed that in nearly all negative reviews contacting member services has proven to be nearly impossible for many people. Here is a trick that worked for me just a few minutes ago. I called the number on the search results, and of course got over 5 minutes of repetitive information about items no thinking person would ever call them for and when it went to the "please listen carefully because our menu options have recently changed" recording, rather than attempt any extensions after the 1st non-response, when it got to the message to either give them my Molina card # (which was the entire reason for the initiating call) OR give them the last 4 of my social security number. (Just the last 4 gives ID thieves far more info than most are even aware of. At that point I simply kept hitting multiple 000000000000's until it gave the this call may be monitored or recorded...message. Within 3 minutes I was talking with a member services person. Again they wanted either my Molina number or the last 4. I told them my name, address, and birthdate, letting them know they can look up my account with that info instead. They did, so I was able to order a new card (for the 5th time) but also had them give it to me verbally, and after writing it, read it back to confirm. I already know out front they are going to deny deny deny, so it is just more fuel for the tort action. Think about this: with the length of time it takes to GET any specialist referral/appointments regardless of the severity of what is being tested for, then having those tests/specialists denied and having to wait up to another year, every single one of those patients IF THEY ARE DEAD OR INOPERABLE by the time such procedures ARE fought through, THOSE patients pose no further cost to Molina's financial bottom line, nor can they complain, hire attorneys, and/or file civil tort actions. And believe me, their "actuarial accounting experts" as with ALL insurers know this to a depth we can't imagine! So fight, don't give up in frustration or confusion, fight for you and your children! I hope this helps someone. Vinny S

I have been trying for over a month to get a refund issue resolved but for some convenient reason, whenever I bring this up, the call drops or they transfer me to someone else and feed me outright lies. I am FED UP and I want my damn money back. NEVER get Molina. Avoid them at all costs. They just steal your money and lie to you.

Jennifer Klippenstein

Horribly run company.

Since, I've needed medical insurance due to a no-fault accident where I received several internal injuries, Molina has provided nothing but excellence in regards to my "customer experience"! Even when there has been miscommunication they're always right on it going the extra mile. I haven't had service like this in years! I'm grateful for all they do.

Tim B

Extremely poor service, poor communication and overall painful and regretful experience. Every time I breathe in their direction something negative happens. I am surprised they aren't forced to undergo ethics training, since their interaction with patients is disgusting.

Mrs Cleaves

NEGATIVE 1000 stars!!!! I discovered my pregnancy in Jan. 2017 in which Molina was informed through my doctor's office. I began to receive bills AFTER my child was born September 2017. Although I was still qualified and insured through Molina. Molina stated that they'd change my coverage date to Jan 2017 until 6 months AFTER giving birth BUT they never did. Now bills are in collection and I'm being harassed!!!

Andrew Orejuela

I’ve been on crutches for 4 weeks with a knee injury. I went to the doctor for a medical referral so I can get an MRI and Molina denied my MRI request. They said I need to do physical therapy before approving the referral, but I can’t even straighten my leg. I know I have a meniscus tear, but Molina isn’t letting me advance through the process so I can get surgery on my knee. Now I’m having to wait weeks while I still can’t walk. Horrible insurance, do not care about the actual well being of their patients.

Aurora Rose

The customer service and call system are so bad I almost need a councilor for dealing with that alone...

I have been without my antidepressant for a week. They won't tell you anything besides 'on hold.' My doctor and pharmacy try to help out as much as they can but at the end of the day, it is up to your insurance company if you receive your medication. Because they have their special rules. Must be great to be so special, Molina. Not worth nearly the 400 bucks a month spent but each year the self-employed are offered less options. I will give them another star for not being only concerned with companies. They care, but very little.

Mark Daniel

Nothing but an extortion racket. No coincidence Molina sounds a lot like Mafia.

Molina is the epitome of a soulless corporation designed to profit off of human suffering. This company mainly manages healthcare plans for Americans who are eligible for Medicare and Medicaid, programs funded by tax dollars that are supposed to provide healthcare to the neediest Americans. Instead of taking those tax dollars and using them to provide caring, competent, and comprehensive medical care to people in need, they routinely refuse to to reimburse physicians and deny coverage for necessary, emergency procedures, leaving countless lower income Americans saddled with pain, illness, debt, and misery while they rake in BILLIONS of tax payer money in profit. My boyfriend has Molina. A few weeks ago he was bedridden with severe pain, throwing up, fever, yellowish skin, etc. He missed a week of work and was barely eating. When he kept getting worse instead of better we decided to make a trip to the emergency room. The doctor there recommended same day surgery because his gall bladder was so inflamed and his symptoms so severe. Fine, we thought, who are we to argue with medical opinion especially when my boyfriend was in so much pain and discomfort he was no longer able to function? So he had the surgery, we went home, he feels much better and went back to work less than two weeks after the surgery. Guess what? Molina has decided not to pay for this surgery because they deemed it "not medically necessary." Even though my boyfriend was unable to work, unable to eat, unable to walk or shower without support. Even though the attending physician in the emergency room recommended immediate surgery. That doesn't matter to Molina! After all, how can they siphon billions of taxpayer dollars into their own pockets if they are using that money to actually provide healthcare to people? Disgusting.

Brian Cuda

Stay far away from this company. Beyond horrible service. Would not trust them to babysit a goldfish let alone be responsible to manage my family's health insurance plan.

Joseph Vanmeter

All I'm going to say is I'm not every happy with this results I recived recently, last few times I gone to specialist I was recived very strange forms and letters in the mail from this company , Dining Services with that particular dr. And apparently now I have a co-pay and they never sent me a notification that I would be having a copay thanks not really

Kat Linton

Horrible. The company's claims paying and customer service departments were in no way prepared for their expansion from Medicare/Medicaid programs to individual insurance policies. Seventy-five percent of my claims have been paid incorrectly and their customer service reps have no knowledge or ability to research even simple matters. The standard answers are: 1) the provider should contact us (and they all are), and 2) you'll have to file a grievance. I watch all my bills carefully and know what they should be paying, but for others I'm sure they are not getting the benefits they are paying for. Also, customer service hold times are very long, and they have a very limited of ancillary providers (e.g., radiologists and anesthesiologist) even in the Seattle area. So even though they'll cover some claims, you're paying full bone for them, not getting a negotiated discount which is one of the advantages of an insurance plan. And their negotiated discounts with their providers seem very low and often are way more than their "cost estimator" says it should be. I can't wait to dump this plan! I went cheap and boy am I paying for it!!!

Scott Cameron

Christopher Howe

Premium doubled. When provider called for a claim they say i'm not in the system, even though i've paid my skyhigh premium. The man I managed to get on the phone sounded like he was doing dishes and barely responsive.

I was assigned Molina by Washington Apple Health and I had to call to change the PCP I was assigned to, I talked to Dustin on the phone and he was very courteous and helpful. I haven't actually received any care yet but at least over the phone I was very impressed!

tower fic

Very good healthcare and customer service.

Donna Greene

Great Company!

Courtney Dahlgaard

They continually lose, mix-up, confuse our twins accounts. Every single month when we go to get their meds, we spend HOURS on the phone to "fix it." And here we are again. . . In September. . . with another lost account and no meds.

Cori Morris

I wish there was a no star option. I've had to call in multiple times for the same issues. I'm on hold right now trying to correct my daughter's PCP and this is the third time I've had to call on this and it's still not corrected. No one responds to the contact us section on the website. Worst insurance company I have ever dealt with by far!

Shu Chen

Just enrolled, they couldn't find my file. The phone system takes a long time to get to customer representative then hold time is very long. One CSR hung up on me for no no reason, very short and rude. Not sure if I made a good choice with them.

Anastasia Woolsey

I signed my son up for Molina after he was born not realizing what a shoddy company this is. His premium is 305.59. I paid his premium in May for his insurance to start on 6/1/19. Later I find out that the start date has been moved to 7/1/19, so we went a month without insurance unknowingly. At the end of June they left me voice messages saying his premiums weren’t paid and that his insurance wouldn’t start. The 1st call back they told me that I have to pay two months in advance. The 2nd call they told me that I needed to pay for my insurance with them if I wanted his to start. I wasn’t purchasing insurance for myself. They told me that I would have to talk to the exchange and fix it or else they were going to cover me as well. The exchange knew nothing about this and confirmed that I wasn’t listed on the policy. After fighting Molina they applied the 2nd payment they forced me to make to my sons account as a credit for August. I set up a bill pay to mail his premiums in. I accidentally mixed up the last two digits on the account number so they cashed my payment and applied it to someone else. They then sent me a late reminder bill saying that I owe them $600. (The premium is only $305). The woman on the phone told me that she would put in a support ticket but that it would take 10 days to process and that if I didn’t make another payment they would cancel my insurance. I spoke to her supervisor who said she would need all of my banking information faxed as proof that I paid. I requested email, which she refused stating that it’s against HIPPA law to send proof of payment via email. (I checked, it’s not, and in fact they are required to provide alternative means of communication). She laughed at me on the phone and told me that I could contact a lawyer if I wanted my money back. She then transferred me to the medications department because I was trying to make a second payment so my infant doesn’t loose coverage. He told me that I should just give Molina access to my bank account so they can remove funds on their own. If I can’t trust them to handle my payment appropriately what makes them think I’m going to give them full access to my bank account???? Luckily my bank is disputing the stolen premium payment. Molina is a horrid company who does not care for their customers. Trust the reviews and use a different company!!!

Ajmer Singh

Good company to work for.

Update 5/21 Billing issues placed on hold, call comes back again and drops after being placed on hold. NEVER AGREE TO BE PLACED ON HOLD********************Update 4/30/2019 Molina responded with a reiteration of denial of coverage. Stated that they had paid previously in error. Hung up on after being placed on hold again this company needs to be removed from the healthcare marketplaces. They seriously try to avoid speaking to you. *******They continue to deny covered health services. State it is because of no preapproval. Preapproval is not required in WA state for these services. Hour on hold, phone disconnects. This has happened twice. Finally reach someone and get transferred... call drops. Their business practice is to do everything possible not to pay. 1 star is laughably too generous.
