Visit #1 I showed up 15 mins early to my first appointment. Front desk staff was generally pleasant. I waited an hour before anyone came to get me to be seen by the Dr. After being brought into the room I waited another 30 mins (total wait to this point, not counting being early, 1.5 hours) at which point I elected to leave. The staff didn't seem surprised that the wait was so long - this seems like it is a common occurrence. Visit #2 Given the recommendation to see Dr. Attaman, I rescheduled for a week later. I only waited about 15 mins to be brought back to the exam room. After an initial exam, I waited about another 15 mins to see the doctor. His exam seemed thorough, and the Dr seemed knowledgeable. He offered me a few different treatment options and offered to answer any additional questions I had via email. After some thought on the treatment options, I emailed the clinic. It took the Dr. two weeks to respond to 5 questions I had about the options he presented. Many of his answers were one word..a full sentence if I was lucky. Conclusion: I have seen other pain specialists with busy schedules such as Dr. A. and they have all prioritized patient care and communication. From my two visits, I cannot say the same about Dr. A. Medical expertise - I have not had any treatments done by Dr. A, so I cannot comment on his ability to effectively treat patients - though he does come highly regarded from a few sources I have since seen other practitioners focused on regenerative approaches and found their client care much more thorough and their breadth of knowledge to be wider. Given the state of regenerative medicine, I will be choosing to see a Dr. who is actively researching and publishing on the topic of regenerative medicine. For the large costs, especially out of pocket for regenerative medicine, I was expecting a lot more from this provider.

I am a patient of Dr. Attaman’s and a chiropractic physician. I did a lot of research before choosing Dr Attaman for a knee issue I had been dealing with for years. He is excellent at what he does. Very knowledgeable and is using the best protocols in stem cell, PRP, Andy prolotherapy today. When I tore my triceps tendon in 2018 I went to him again. He did an excellent job and has helped me to avoid surgery. I highly recommend Dr Attaman.

I'm very impressed with Dr. Attaman's ultrasound diagnostic abilities. I've been having left knee issues for about a number of years, and have had several MRI's (at other providers). The other doctors ascribed the pain to a meniscus tear and osteoarthritis. I've tried PT several times, with mixed results (knee would feel better for a while, then get reinjured). I was pleasantly surprised that Dr. Attaman found (via ultrasound) two new root causes which the other doctors had missed: hyperlaxity of my lateral patellar ligament, and enthesopathy of my MCL. The MCL diagnosis was particularly impressive, because it's on the *opposite* side of the knee from where I'm currently experiencing pain, but... it does match the location of an old knee pain I had years ago (and forgot to mention to the doctor). And it would help account for why my knee keeps getting reinjured. Fortunately both of these issues (LPFL hyperlaxity and MCL enthesopathy) are areas where PRP injections tend to have good results, so I have high hopes that the PRP injection will reduce my knee issues.

PRP and Stem Cell and Regenexx About a year ago I went in for a consultation with Dr Attaman’s office. The purpose was to evaluate pain in both knees and lower back. The pain was chronic and had become worse over the years. The doctor recommended PRP injections. I did a lot of research – including evaluating a possible trip to the Colorado Regenexx clinic. In the end I decided to go with Dr Attaman. I had PRP injections in my back and in each knee about 8 months ago. I intentionally waited to write this review so I could evaluate the results. In the past 8 months I have followed the diet program in the Nutrition 2.0 book that the doctor gave me (I lost about 8% of my body weight), I have followed a supplement program heavy on fish oil and turmeric, started and followed a pretty strict work out plan, and reduced my alcohol consumption. I have seen a greater than 50% improvement in my back and both knees, and have completely stopped any pain killers such as Advil, etc. I am a very active skier and my performance level from last year to this year has improved a lot. In addition, I am now able to do workouts that I couldn’t do prior to the shots. My joints are still not 100% - but at 52 they are a lot better than they have been over the last 10 years. One knee has improved more than the other – and it is interesting to me that the better knee got the “super concentrate” PRP. At some point I may go back to Dr Attaman for further “super concentrate” PRP injections in my knees to see if I can get an additional level of improvement and performance. I want to wait a full year before I make that decision. I can’t say that the improvement in my joints is solely from the PRP injections – but the PRP injections in combination with the weight loss, alcohol reduction, supplements and exercise have worked for me. I do feel that the PRP was a key part of that improvement. Therefore, I would recommend the procedure if it is an option for your particular condition. Regarding my experience at the office staff in general and with the Dr in particular. I have been to my fair share of doctor’s and specialists over the years. Overall, I would say my experience with Dr Attaman was good. Yes, there were times when I waited a bit longer than I should, or times when it was difficult to communicate with the staff regarding questions. But frankly that happens with all medical clinics and doctors, and businesses in general. I can say that the staff and Dr Attaman were always polite, and friendly, and helpful. Therefore, I would recommend the PRP process, the clinic, and the doctor.

I recently scheduled an appointment with Dr. Attaman for my wife as she has an undiagnosed chronic pain issue. Upon arriving everything seemed fine. The staff was receptive and kind. The issues that I had were only with Dr. Attaman. First in order to see the Doctor you have to fill out an intake form online 24hrs before your appointment. I can say that the intake form was very detailed and intense. To be honest it took me over 2hrs to complete. The frustrating part was as the appointment began the PA starting asking questions which we're all questions that I already answered on the intake form. This was obviously frustrating to say the least. Moreover, the Doctor upon entering the room immediately was very egotistical and rude. He did not listen to my wife he dismissed everything she and I said. When she was asked to lay flat on the bed she did so. The Doctor then asked her to sit up, when she could not she asked for his help and he said and I quote "I will not help you". I then reached over and helped my wife up. The doctor then conducted the rest of his exam without actually intenally examing the Pudendal Nerve. I then asked for a nerve block to check it and he said she "Most likely does not have it".. he then went into a tangent about Sleep Apnea. The only silver lining is that I was able to get a referral to UW Pain Clinic..

My story is too lengthy to share here. I am so grateful that I found Dr. Attaman; he has changed my life. For 15 years I had almost daily headaches that usually turned in to migraines and saw more Dr.s than I care to mention, both traditional and alternative. I took every med on the planet, tried weekly acupuncture and herbs, chiropractic, dietary changes, all failed. For the past 12 years I have not been able to lay on my right side without triggering a headache. When I mentioned this to other physicians, there usually wasn't a response, so I often gave up, thinking I had to live with my condition. Dr. Attaman diagnosed my problem quickly and was confident that he could help restore my quality of life. We tried a several conservative treatments and I felt in control of my care throughout the entire process. Dr. Attaman is the only one that I was confident enough in to do a Nerve Ablation on my neck. Dr. Attaman did a great job not only reviewing the documents and problem with my painful hip, but then also took the time to examine both my knees and make recommendations about them. I opted for the A2M injection in my hip first, and after less than 2 weeks, the pain in BOTH hip joints is down by 90 per cent...and this is after 3 orthopedists said the only thing to do is a total hip replacement! I don't know how long I will be pain free, but it is a real blessing at this point! I thought Dr.A listened well, and came up with the best plan for my situation.

I had an appointment with doctor Attaman. First of all, he suggested to do a procedure to close my abdminal gap after I had my kids. He did say that there was no research about it but still suggested to perform it. Then his secretary went on to tell me that no insurance covers for it and that I have to pay 1,800. Then for the diagnostics of the pain of my back, he said I would have to do it with anesthesia because I would be in excruciating pain. I did ask for a second opinion with Dr Burns in Kirland and he said that there is no need for sedation for the diagnostics. Then he said I couldn't use a driving service even if they went inside the clinic. That it would have to be a family member or friend. When I stated that I don't have nobody they suggested to then pay for a nurse. His stuff also tried to charge me $75 for the first visit even though my copay is $40. I said I would like to make a complain agaisnt the surgery center and she said that Dr Attaman was a stake holder ( one of the owners) so I couldn't file a complain. Finally they called me to say that they decided to not treat my pain and that I should look for another doctor. He never called me, nor care about my situation. Awful experience. Arrogant doctor, completely uncaring and I don't even think he is knowledgable.

Dr. Attaman was a good listener, efficient, friendly, and he was able to diagnose my pudendal nerve pain. He carefully listened to my particular concerns, and did his best to guide me through the nerve block shots without undue pain. Other MDs had been of no help with this particular condition, but he was able to alleviate some of the suffering. Also, he has offered a treatment plan to move forward that is affordable, and I have full confidence in his knowledge of this rare condition. If he did not offer this expertise, I would have continued suffering without a diagnosis. I now feel hopeful I have a treatment plan. It was well worth traveling from out of state for this visit. I’ve been to approximately 50 people over the last 5 years to figure out what was going on with me...physical therapists, doctors, hospitals, chiropractors, urgent care, masseuses, acupuncturists... the list goes on. I was referred to Dr Attaman by another doctor that had (from my point of view) given up on me. I don’t know what it is about the guy but I adore him. He’s the first person to really listen to my symptoms, do an exam, tell me what he thinks is wrong with me and talk me through treatment options. I’m just beginning my treatment but I’ve been reading all the symptoms of what he thinks is wrong with me and it totally jives. I really think he’s on to something and I’m thankful I was led to him. Just wish I had seen him 5 years sooner! If you’re suffering from chronic pain, I’d recommend him.

I started seeing Dr. Attaman regarding my neck and shoulder pain. In last 3 years, my back and shoulders have gradually worn out and I’m consistently in pain that could not be solved by physical therapy, acupuncture, chiropractic or massage and even Spine Specialists didn’t offer much help. Then with some research on internet I found Dr. Attaman and I am so very thankful for it. Dr. Attaman and his staff understood from where I was coming, were very attentive and Dr. Attaman gave me a thorough exam. With quick review of my prior treatments and and MRI & X-ray results he was able identify my problem areas and brought a smile on my face when he said he can help me. Currently he is doing diagnostic procedure called Medial Branch Blocks and the results so far have been very encouraging. After a long long time I felt so great and relieved that finally some treatment is working. Now I’m eagerly waiting for the final RFA procedure. If you are suffering from chronic and long term pain I would HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend Dr. Attaman. He is an extremely knowledgeable pain specialist and he can solve problems that other Doctors could not.

As a physician who uses ultrasound himself, I was especially impressed by Dr. Attaman's ability to locate and successfully ablate two VERY small nerves in my foot, thereby helping provide relief of foot pain which had troubled me for more than 5 years. And on another front, he also suggested an alternative cause to chronic back pain that I've had for more than 25 years--instead of focusing on my spine as three other physiatrists had done, he almost immediately asked me if anyone had considered my shoulder. No one had. It now looks like this approach may pan out....much appreciated and good lord, well done.

I am not one to write reviews unless my experience is so abysmal that the general public *really needs to know* or so great that I know it would truly help someone else. In this case I am happy to say it is the latter. Unfortunately for me 2 years ago I was hit by the proverbial bus... yep it happened. I have been fortunate enough to receive OUTSTANDING care by some amazing practitioners. After exhausting treatment from a leading spine doctor he referred me to Dr. Attaman. My first visit, after explaining the accident, he looked at me a moment, walked to my neck, said "here, here and here." His wealth of experience in treating patients with injuries such as mine was invaluable to me. It is almost impossible to prove the damage done as it isn't something most xrays etc can pick up. Yet Dr. Attaman knew and I felt relieved that I didn't have to try to prove something I could never prove. Since that first visit I have had 4 cervical blocks and just recently RF Ablation of the C3-C5 nerves. His new MA Melissa (yep I'm calling her out) has been simply... WONDERFUL! I ended up having some sort of a reaction to something, the anesthetic, the bandage, who knows... but what matters is they responded quickly and with such care. Melissa in my opinion has gone above and beyond to make sure that I receive proper, prompt and thorough care. After thanking her she replied, "I'm just doing my job." No, she was doing so much more, more than I have received from a clinic in quite some time. Also, going through all this alone, to have someone really listen and help me, was more important to me than she will ever know. Ultimately, I am grateful to all the people who have cared for me after the accident and I can say to anyone reading this review, I am being earnest and typing from the heart. If you are in pain and you want a specialist and caring staff that will listen and help, it's Dr. Attaman and his team. You may wonder why then I didn't give 5 stars. The only meh is I was not as particular fond of the billing staff. Not sure what the hiccup there was just didn't gel the same as the back office. Certainly not a deterrent and I have referred friends with chronic pain to his office. I hope they go and you should try as well if you are looking for a great Pain Specialist in our area. Oh and worth the drive from Lake Stevens!

I have been seeing Dr. Attaman since 2011and he has rebuilt the upper half of my body . I was a cement mason for 30 years, my back and shoulders were worn out and I was contently in pain .He has rebuilt my shoulders with stem cell and when I first started seeing him he would burn the nerves in my back , now he is doing a new procedure called regenetics and is able to use your own white platelets or stem cell on your back . I was sure that I was going to have to have surgery on my back but he injected my own white platelets in me and I feel great . There isn't a day that goes by that I don't thank god for meeting Dr. Ataman , he has totally changed my life .

I started seeing Dr Attaman in 2015 after a back injury that changed how I lived my life. I had seen two other interventional pain specialist, neither who felt comfortable in treating my problem. I was referred to Dr Attaman by one of the other interventional pain specialist, he said "You need to go see Jason Attaman, he can do what many others can not." He also said that Dr Attaman "thinks outside of the box and is very skilled. " Let me tell you he was right! When my injury occurred I had a 2 year old that i could not pick up, I could no longer work at the bedside as a critical care nurse. I was in chronic pain in my lower back. I had trouble sitting, standing, and even lying in bed . The very first time I met him, he confidently told me that he could help me. I have been through a series of procedures with him since our 1st meeting. This man is a godsend, he took me from being in pain 24/7 and needing take oral pain medications to function to being able to return to my life with a manageable pain level. My back problems are complex, they will always be there, but now they no longer dictate my life! As a registered nurse that has worked in critical care, emergency medicine, surgical revovery, and well you name it, I have done it. I have worked with many great providers and then just average. I am one who calls it as I see it, I don't beat around the bush. I typically hand pick my own providers based upon my observations. I am reserved to go to a provider that i have not had experience with. Although I was leary about going to see someone that I did not know before hand, I am so glad that I did! Dr Attaman is one of the great! I have referred several colleagues and family members to him. Thank you so very much Dr Attaman for all that you have done to help me live my life again as I want to! You are truly gifted and skilled at your trade!

I'm not Lisa but I am her mother and not too computer savvy so I didn't know how to change the post. My name is Kathy Waltho and my wonderful daughter Lisa who lives in Nine Mile falls check out Dr. Attaman web site. She called his office on Monday and I had an appointment for me the next day in his Auburn office. My daughter drove 2 1/2 hrs and picked me up. I live in Ephratra which is central WA so that means I need to be in the car 6hrs. I have been sick to two years and chronic pain the past year. I have been unable to work since February and for the most part so disabled from the pain my quality of life has been extremely low and no hope. I had lost 25 lbs and was taking narcotics and totally wasting away. I was working with a whole team of doctors and specialist where some progress was made but I had to wait days, weeks and months for appointments. I was also referred several places three hours drive over the pass where I was told they couldn't help me. That is a long drive for someone in chronic pain and my pain was off the charts. I got right in to see Dr. and had a procedure setup before the weekend. My diagnosis is Purdendal Neuralgia my pain level is way down and I have had days with no pain. My hope is back and I know that Dr. Attaman won't make me wait to get in if I need to. Today is day five with 100% pain relief and no narcotic drugs. My husband is a patient of Dr. Attaman's and he has had an awesome experience so far! He is in the process of undergoing the Regenexx procedure for a torn labrum in his hip, and we were happy to find a doctor local to us who is well-versed with this procedure. We have high hopes after researching a lot about Dr. Attaman and the procedure in general (it seems to be the way that pro athletes are handling this sort of injury now, rather than surgery on the labrum.) His office has been great so far, from scheduling to assisting us with getting the correct paperwork to submit to our HRA. We feel lucky to have found this place!

What a great experience. The entire staff is amazing. I went there with horrible shoulder pain. MRI Showed several tears. Dr. Attaman reviewed my MRI results and let me know I was a good candidate for stem cell injections. I had the injections January 30th 2018. Long story short...I was skeptical before, but I am true a believer now. I took my son to see Dr Attaman as it was an urgent injury my son had from sports, the two previous Dr.s just said it was a deep bruise in his upper arm. Week later we rushed into Dr Attaman with his US machine he has he was able to see a tear in the shoulder. I have been seeing Dr Attaman for 3 years now, since moving from the DFW metroplex in Texas. I quickly found that the way traditional pain meds are viewed by physicians in the state of WA is *much* different than TX. I have suffered from chronic/severe neuropathic pain in my low back & neck for 20+ years and have tried EVERY treatment modality available to me... surgery, PT, acupuncture, chiropractic, numerous injections, cranial sacral therapy, voodoo (ok not really! but some of it felt that way), implanted spinal cord stim, biofeedback, hypnosis, and the list goes on. My point is simply this... many of these would offer some short term relief but unfortunately the only thing I have found that truly manages my pain so I can work and generally function somewhat normally are opioids. I understand all of the concerns about long term opioid use... but I have tried all types of treatments and all types of meds and nothing has worked. But many many physicians in WA state don't seem to care about that... they simply won't prescribe them. (I actually had one family practice doc tell me I was destined to end up like Gene Hackman in the French Connection 2!! ) Dr Attaman has been open to all options for pain management. Prescribing opioids is certainly not his preference and he is extremely cautious about insuring prescriptions are not misused (through theft &/or forgery) and carefully monitors patient use through urine screening. While sometimes a hassle, I appreciate the fact Dr Attaman is so diligent in mitigating the misuse of these drugs. Dr Attaman clearly studies advances and new treatment options for pain management - and is fundamentally committed to insuring his patients can live day to day with the minimal amount of pain as possible. He is seldom ever rushed and is truly interested in his patients - even after seeing them every month for 3 years! I highly recommend Dr Attaman to anyone who is interested in finding a caring, compassionate, respectful physician who stays current with advances in his field and who's chief concern is first and foremost eliminating (or at least substantially reducing) the pain his patients have to deal with day to day. He has done it for me, and I am quite certain he can do it for you as well.

2 1/2 year’s now in pain with no relief to seen for. Attaman’s diagnosis was Pudendal Neuralgia. Had 3 Nerve blocks to both sides with some relief for one month. The second two did not last but 2 weeks if that. My next option he gave me was pulse radio frequency at a cost of $1600 cash (not covered by ins.) with no relief at all. My next option was Platelet Rich Plasma at $3600 cash out of packet. Guess you can see why I rich the $1600. 1. Now for what I have been fighting along with the pain is there office, and how hard they are to contact. It’s all about recordings and never get a answer back. Most of the time I have to call back two days later. 2. All the run around with phone calls and now I am at the UW pain clinic “very professional by the way” and I can not get Dr Attaman to give my files over to the UW pain clinic. What is so secretive? Dr Attaman are really concerned about my pain? Why is that you give my records up to them? Is this all about you??? Some day I might be out of pain. That is if Doctor Attaman cares about his patients and not about himself. Might just have to call Jesse!

I am lucky my wife found Dr. Attaman. I had seen so many different specialists and doctors in the past 6 months and all without any relief. I even went to Mayo Clinic which is an 8hr drive from where I live and they sent me home without help. I have suffered with pudendal neuralgia and it is a nightmare.
