I have been taking my kids to see Dr. Arietta since she 1st started internship with Dr. Lee. When she opened her own practice I followed. Yes, wait times are long sometimes but it is well worth it. Dr. Arietta takes her time with her patients and is very thorough. I peraonally have never had issues with the receptionist. All are always friendly and try to work my kids in when they need to be seen.

I have literally called for over a month to make an appointment for my grandson and the appointment line says mail box is full and Noone answers. If you press for the nurse Dawn it also says mailbox is full. So you cannot leave a message, speak to anyone or make an appointment. Not to mention the wait times are RIDICULOUS. At least hire someone to answer your phone for respect of your patients. Will be changing doctors for sure.

The Doctor is very friendly and knowledgeable, the problem is the incredibly long wait times and the inability to ever reach the desk to schedule an appointment. I called on numerous occasions and got the "we're at lunch" message for hours, and have never received a call back when I have left a voicemail. And I understand Dr. office wait times can be a little long, but many times I have waited for over an hour and a half to two hours for my daughter to be seen...with an appointment at that.

I used to love this practice. The doctor is amazing however the staff is not. Their newer receptionist is very rude and will sit there and ignore you. I have been taking my daughter here for over 5 years and sad to say I am switching practices just because of the staff.

Great Doctor, however she needs front desk staff and office organization. Every time I call I am asked to hold, it takes several days to complete a prescription request. After holding the line for over 40 minutes, the line is disconnected with no resolve to my issue. When calling back you hear the message "the mailbox is currently full."

I have been a patient at Southside since I was an infant up to college age. I love Dr. Arrietta so much. She is very professional and kind hearted! She is one of the best in the state of Virginia!!!

Very unorganized. Wait times are always 2-3 hours. Front desk staff not helpful. Always overbooked. They don’t know what medication your child takes. Just all around not the place if you are looking for quality care and an organized place of business.

Do not take your child here. They are worried only about money...you will spend hours waiting, surrounded by as many sick children as they can book in a day. Also, have 1 hiccup in your insurance and they would rather your child dies then to help them. You are better off at a free clinic then this travesty of a pediatrics office.

If I could give no star I would. Rude staff, disgusting phone manner. Called to make an appointment for a sick child and was told earliest appointment is a week away. For a sick visit? No thanks .rather travel the 50 miles to our old pediatrician than make a kid sit sick for a week. Invest in polite staff it's essential for a good office. Will not be using this practice. Ever!

Every time we have came to this place the front desk receptionist has given us problems. My son has missed immunizations 2x due to her lack of knowledge. Doctor is nice but she needs new staff !! When you speak over the phone everything is fine , but come appointment day your child will not be seen !

Better NOT get nasty/an attitude with me! I "WILL" Get Nasty/give an attitude right back! I don't play no games. Get an attitude with me, I will make sure the entire staff gets replaced! I don't care! This place will NEVER get business again until new professional staff is in the office!

If I could give them NO stars I would. I got here at 2:45 pm. My daughters appointment was at 2:50 pm. Mind you I drove up here from Franklin Va which is a hour and fifteen minutes away. They had us waiting over a hour so I got up and left at 4:05 pm. Talking about it’s not they fault why the wait is so long. There should be no reason why I have to wait over a hour for an appointment I made for 2:50 pm. I can not imagine how long the wait would of been if we would of not walked out and stayed and waited longer.
