We've used James River Pediatrics for both our kids and LOVE them. Check out their facebook page for more reviews since Google doesn't have many. There are 2 pediatricians and a fairly small staff, so they're great about getting to know each child individually.

I was charged $35 for asking a question during an annual check up. We won't be returning. The customer service by the office manager was the worst I have experienced in connection with medical care for my children.

Dec 2017 Took our 9mo for cough, fever, chest congestion today to a new Peds urgent care. When they went to look in his ears, the nurse scooted me out of the way and held the child’s arms down above his head, so immediately he was screaming. Then the nurse picked him up and said we will be right outside so you two can talk (referring to me and the dr) and began to close the door. Huh!??! Luckily Dr Archuleta needed a prescription pad so nurse walked out got the pad and came right back, but she was planning to take my naked baby away from me screaming and close the door so I couldn’t see?! When she came back I just said “thanks I’ll take him”. Our regular pediatrician would’ve handled the entire visit VERY differently... this visit was VERY VERY WEIRD. They said nothing about his cough or chest congestion. Just use humidifier after I specifically addressed it. Very uncomfortable Visit. I’ll NEVER return. Followed up with our ped the following day, baby had a DOUBLE ear infection AND bronchiolitis. Needed saline and albuterol nebulizer treatments, steroids, etc. so not only was the bedside manner horrific, they completely misdiagnosed.

We could not ask for a better pediatric group. Both doctors are wonderful.
