Dr. Baust is amazing! Some people are born to do a certain job and he was definitely meant to be a pediatrician. He listens to all of our concerns, no matter how trivial they might be (we're first time parents) and gives us honest advice and tips. He is so good with our son; he makes the little guy laugh and has a good time. I am so grateful we found this practice!

I have two young daughters that have gone to see Dr. Baust for the past several years. The thing I feel separates Dr. Baust from other doctors I've seen is he is not afraid to give a concrete opinion. Many doctors I've seen are scared to say positively 100% one thing or another for fear of liability etc., and Baust is not. He tells you plain and simple. He is good with children, and his staff is friendly.

From a personal perspective, I can say that James River Pediatrics is absolutely amazing. Our children have been treated by Dr. Baust for about 5 years, and our family followed him to his current practice. He and his staff are genuinely caring and take the time to make our children feel comfortable and happy while in the office. There is always laughter and fun during our visits no matter how sick. I can also attest from a professional perspective how wonderful JRP is. As a practicing speech pathologist in the area, I work with many of their patients. I hear from so many different families how much they love Dr. Baust, Lee (his NP) and all the other staff. I cannot recommend this practice enough!

Love love love this doctor and his staff! Every one is very nice and professional! Doctor Baust is great with the kids and spends time interacting with them as well ask talking with the parents and asking questions as well as answering any you may have. Dr. Baust will give you his medical opinion on things and what he recommends as far as helping your child develop and be there healthiest but will respect any choices you choose and understands that each child is different and different things work for different families as we all have unique circumstances. I recommend him to friends and family all the time. He is a great doctor who really cares and makes kids want to go to the doctor!

Love Dr. Baust! Only issue I have is the wait time, I wait 30 mins (past when they ask me to arrive for the appt) every appt, then about 20 for the doctor once I do get called back. Other than that, I have no problems at all!
