We’ve been at Fairfax for the last year and have had positive experiences every time. I appreciate that the office has lactation consultants on staff and are suppprtive and realistic about the challenges of breastfeeding. Their staff are not alarmists but provide realistic counsel for symptoms and preventative care, after taking the time to know us and our lifestyle/schedule/preferences. We’ve taken advantage of their early morning and Saturday sick visit hours and their 24-hour nurse help hotline. If you leave nearby, I would definitely recommend!

Yesterdaywas the first time I take my son to this office. We usually go to the one in Centreville. And I already had an unpleasant experience with dr Vijay Srinivasa. We came in concerning my son's circumcision. Right from the beginning the dr seems rushed. He explained reAlly fast ab my aons circumcision then he stood up ready to leave, then I stopped him cuz I had 2-3 more questions for him. He then told me "I thought you came in just for circumcision concern"...hmmm you didnt just charge my insurance 200$ and me 30$ for just one question..so I made him stay to answers my questions which he answer briefly, I could had found better answer on google. He seems rush the whole time. Anyways it was disappointing since this office is closer to my house compare to the one in centreville, but i wont be coming back...

My 2 start review is based on the reception/phones. I can't tell you how many times I have had trouble just CALLING this place and their phone system failing on me. I'm either on hold FOREVER (once I was on hold for 10 minutes) or their phone system hangs up on me. We have had to just walk in because we couldn't even make an appointment. When we told them that their phone system is having issues, they "apologized" but it certainly wasn't genuine at all. It's really frustrating when your toddler is sick and you can't even get a hold of anyone. This is making us look for a different pediatrician.

We've had nothing but problems with this practice since joining. There is no consistency of diagnosis between the different doctors, we haven't received call backs from the after hours advice nurse at times, it's taken over 10 minutes to get through to the phone line during office hours, etc. Our son has shown a resistance to Amoxicillian so when we told one of the doctors that we did not want that prescribed for an ear infection he insisted that it was protocol to prescribe it. We were back a week later after the Amoxicillian didn't work (as we knew it wouldn't) and our son then had progressed to having a double ear infection. Only then were we prescribed a different antibiotic; however, he ended up needing an antibiotic shot since the infection had gotten so much worse. We've also had problems with prescriptions - we've gone over 24 hours without the prescribed medication due to non-responsiveness from the practice.

We have been coming here since 2007 to care for my two boys. This practice is fantastic! Over the years, we have seen almost all the physicians and PAs. We love that the practice is expedient and convenient, while still offering personalized and top notch care. The staff take all visits seriously, and the 24 hour nurse advise line is priceless. I’ve used it many a time to get advice when I was on the fence on taking kids to urgent care and the staff who man this advice line is incredible. They are fast and responsive but take the time to educate parents - I can’t describe the peace of mind this has brought many a night when we’ve been woken by crying babies and toddlers. One of my kids was 2 months premature and had several issues during the first two years, including a hospitalization for asthma and this practice was integral in his care. Even after moving 15 miles away, we still come to this practice as I cannot imagine anyone else caring for my children. They are opening a location in Brambleton, can’t wait! Thank you FFP for all your care of our boys and our family. We love you!!! Update July 2018 - just had the first ever terrible experience with after-hours line. 2 of the 3 caregivers I talked to were defensive and argumentative and showed very little concern for wellness of my child. The physician we eventually spoke to was condescending. Calls after a certain time apparently get routed to contracted nurses outside the practice - this may be fine for most urgent calls but in my case I wanted to talk to someone who could look up history as my child has had this same issue multiple times in the past and a different treatment was prescribed. Not sure if I happened to call outside these hours in the past or if they just started outsourcing this out. Also, the practice has had some turnover recently - about half of the caregivers we loved have left. Hoping the practice is not under new management, and this change in culture and attitude is not a trend. Not changing rating yet but will update if we notice any sustained changes - hoping this is just a one time anomaly as we really do love this practice otherwise!

Fail. We have been going here for 4+ years and our experience has gone down hill DRAMATICALLY. The past few months they have failed repeatedly with communication and service. Call at 7:30 when the phone lines open - no sick appointments available. (Has happened multiple times in the past two months. Their explanation? School started so we have a lot of school checkups. Guess what? There will still be sick kids.) Went for our child’s 4yr well child appointment yesterday. They were out of the vacacine stock (?!?) and hadn’t communicated with us that it would be twice as many shots as we were previously told. The nurses give two s***s about whether they make your kid a human pin cushion. Talking to them there was pointless. The nurses stink. The doctors are nice.

Doctors and nurses are nice. However we will not be returning. We were 17 minutes late. I understand that they run on a schedule and I would have been fine waiting to be fit in. A little compassion for a mother of a two year old would be nice. Took off work, husband is currently TDY and they don’t care. It’s just about the business end I suppose. Also am being charged $100. Sad considering it’s a nice facility and the doctors are nice. But I prefer to find a place that actually cares.
