This place is a joke. If it wasn't for DR Evans which by the way is amazing, I would never ever step foot in that office. Their explanation for the terrible service they provide is that "we are not a drive through" lol

They lady who answered the phone does not know what she is doing. Her name is Valerie. Ask you the same questions back to back. She don't listen. Have to repeat your self over and over and over again. And then, she will still ask you the same question. Took forever to make a simple appointment. Maybe if she listened more she would understand more.

I have mixed feelings about this office. I like my PCP here. He does a good job listening and willingly addresses all questions giving pluses and minuses of treatment directions. If you read other reviews you will find plenty of others will say the docs here are good to awesome, but the challenges come with timeliness of appointments. I have walked out of appointments that were delayed over 45+ minutes at this office because of other appointments I had scheduled. I really wish they could get a better handle on their scheduling. Appointments shouldn't be backed up 30-60 minutes within the first hour they are open. I usually schedule appointments for first thing in the morning. Currently I'm in an exam room waiting for my PCP. I arrived at 8:15 for a 8:30 appointment as requested to update my paperwork. Promptly at 8:30 I was taken back to an exam room and vitals were taken. At 8:50 my PCP walked in... to the exam room next door to see the patient in front of me I guess. I appreciate docs taking their time with patients but if appointments early in the day are delayed, I can only imagine what this place is like after lunch. I do want to give them 5 stars (which I do for their personality and treatment) but I have to knock them 2 stars for timeliness.

Dr. Morris is one of the best. He takes his time with his patients. I always feel as I'm getting the best care.

I’ve read through the below reviews and am extremely surprised by these negative experiences. I have been bringing my family for years and never had any issues. Doctor’s offices can not control when multiple patients show up “late” for appointments. When you are 15 minutes late and so is every patient that day, the wait time adds up. Let’s all try to show everyone some courtesy and respect other people’s time.

I love my kids doc Wendy Evans she is awesome this place is the best

Sorriest excuse of a doctors office I have ever seen in my life. You WILL wait at least 45 minutes in the waiting room regardless of how early you are for your appointment. Then once you are in the back you will wait just as long to be seen by a doctor. When you first walk in every "receptionist" has their window closed and you just stand there awkwardly while they all look at you and discuss who is going to help you. It's humiliating. It is impossible to reach anyone there. For example, I have called at least 5 times a day for the past 6 business days and still am no closer to having my problem solved. Most of the people on the phone are rude and could care less about you. If you need a prescription refill you might as well try to buy your pills on ebay because getting a refill from this place is a joke. Like I said it's the sorriest excuse of a healthcare facility I have ever seen. The way they treat people is inhumane. Management should truly be ashamed of themselves. Run away from this place as fast as you can. You will truly regret ever getting involved with this office.

I highly highly reccommend Dr Stewart of CrossRidge Pediatrics and Internal Medine.I have blood clotting problems. I was in the process of moving clear other side of USA from Virginia. I was unable to keep appointment, as i was moving away. Dr Stewart took the time out of her much busy day to see how i was doing. (I went to ER in VA due to current DVT), even tho i wasnt able to see her. She still called me, when i had missed my appointment, as she was aware of recent ER visit. She is very very caring. I also have problems with alcohol consumption, shes never judgemental, more like a caring friend with good advice. Shes USA born and very intellegent in the medicine field. Go see Dr Stewart. Youll be glad you did.

They are completely inflexible about their 15 minute appointment window. I was willing to drive from the east end of town at 8 am to see Nurse Ivey because I enjoy her care. I arrived at 8:19 for my appointment because there was an accident on 64 (completely out of my control at 8am.) The receptionist refused to see me and told me it was because I was 4 minutes outside the window without even checking with the NP to see. I was supposed to do a fasting cholesterol test which would have taken less than 5 minutes to draw blood. Needless to say, I will not be coming back. Care more about your patients.

Dr. Childress is a great doctor! Love him but I had to give one star for the front desk employees! And the lady in charge of scheduling. Normally when we go for a doctors visit the wait is between 1 and 2 hours just to get in the room and wait some more. Today I took my son to see his doctor for a visit so he could get a refill on medicine that he REALLY needs in order to function in school. I called and told them I would be 10-15 minutes late and they said okay that was perfectly fine. Appt was at 3:45 got there at 4 on the dot. Once I was there they told me my son couldn't be seen even though I explained the importance of him needing his medicine! They said 4 o'clock is past the 15 minute extended time frame for a 3:45 appt and I spoke to a supervisor to see if it could be worked out and she had a worse attitude than the front desk people. Very distasteful woman she is. She came to the window with an attitude and could care less about the severity of my son needing his medication! So disappointed with the decline in service these last couple of years. Only reason I stayed was because of Dr Childress and the hassle of switching 3 kids PCP was too much! Now I am beyond fed up and will switch my kids to another doctor today! If you would like to wait longer than your actual appointment and deal with disgusting attitudes this is the place for you!

Horrible -- run, don't just walk away from this office! Medical care average -- but office will allow referrals to fall through cracks and prevent you from receiving medical care and cost you money with insurance companies.

I am very pleased with my physician at this location. He listens carefully, answers all questions no matter how dumb they may seem and is very thorough. The nurses are friendly, professional and make me feel comfortable. However, I have to give this office only two stars because of the staff. I have had trouble making or rescheduling appointments many times. I had an appointment today that I needed to reschedule. I called exactly 18 times yesterday to try to reschedule and no one answered the phone. Instead I got the recording prompting me to push '1' if I was a current patient, and then it went to that crappy elevator music interrupted every few seconds by an annoying recorded voice, while I was waiting. I waited 2-3 minutes each time for someone to pick up. I called 4 times this morning between 8 and noon. Same thing. No voice mail to leave a message. I WILL REFUSE TO PAY THE "FEE" FOR BEING ABSENT FROM MY APPOINTMENT since I was not able to reschedule. This place has the most unprofessional office staff I have ever seen. IMO disciplinary action needs to be taken against the staff responsible for answering phones and scheduling.

Awful receptionist service, very rude for no reason !!! When you finally get an appointment, make sure you have at least set 2 hours aside. You are never taken in on time and then wait even longer in the exam room in the back to see the doctor. Will be looking for another practice ASAP

Love the doc both my babies see and the staff is amazing

If I could give 0 stars I would. Very disorganized and a waste of time. Should of listened to the review that says to run far away from this place. Do not take your little ones here.

My doctor is good, but as others have said I always feel rushed when I am there. I will also echo that the reception staff is awful and doesn't seem to care about you at all. There hasn't been a time I haven't waited at least 45 minutes after my scheduled appointment time to see a doctor. What's the point of making appointments then? The last time I went I was real sick with a cold and sinus infection. They had me come in at 9am. Within 2 minutes of sitting down, they told me it'd be at least an hour because they were backed up. How are you 1+ hours backed up when only being open for an hour?? I will be researching other practices and switching doctors asap.

Dr. Abena Ivey is the best she listens to you, very concerned, and she go above and beyond to help you.

This practice has multiple doctors mines being Dr. Stewart who my kids and husband love she’s a young doctor but she listens and is very efficient double checking and looking over even her nurses work, She’ll even go as far as calling you at home to make sure that you’re OK after an intense visit. The office is clean and the lab is in house for blood work. I wasn’t so fond about the waiting room. There’s no organization or place to form a line to be help so everybody crowds around the windows. When you walk in there are four windows so after guessing what to do, pick a desks, your helped by rather sweet And efficient stuff. My preference would be for a pediatric office only to be for kids but this office is internal medicine as well so there’s all kinds of people in the office. Having a newborn I’d rather they’re not be adults that are sick in the office but overall it’s a decent office. Another thing I wasn’t too interested about was their call center. The office itself does not set your appointments but they rather have a call center that you call to schedule appointments. I don’t like that too much because they don’t know the importance of your appointment and it’s not a personal relationship that you have with them when scheduling.
