The nurse at my initial visit was very nice, and the doctor I saw prescribed me finally the right medication for the suspected infection, which was a common and often asymptomatic parasite called D Fragilis. While that cleared, as multiple tests showed, I was still very unwell and symptoms grew worse. It finally dawned on me that the other suspect of my illness, the tick bite that was supposedly ruled out, was the root cause of my symptoms, and I am currently facing the onset of late lyme disease. the window of opportunity for curing this is small and likely requires special medication. Unfortunately for me This doctor, Chris Huston, without seeing me again after two months passing and Lyme being a progressive disease, writes it off as psychological and refuses to see me. One would think that such circumstances would indicate further evaluation but rather the supervisor of this department informs me that their center has reached a consensus and refuses to see or talk to me. I would think in 2018 in America I would be entitled to a followup evaluation for the other suspect that coincided with this case, and that further testing at this point beyond the simple ELISA test which the UVM PC ran for me would be indicated, given all my late stage Lyme symptoms, and signs including a persistent face rash and a low platelet count which is associated with all tick infections. It is really unfathomable that they would feel comfortable with dismissing my case. The ELISA test btw is 50% accurate and requires antibodies from your immune system to be identified. Even the CDC recommends not relying on the test if other signs and symptoms are present. This doctor and department, and it's PC's who also dismissed the tick incident earlier on, collectively may be costing me my life. Think about that. Edit: In response to your reply: Unfortunately your doctors have neglected my case and I may be at the point of no return. I'm getting weaker, like in my legs, have been in and out of er for heart pain and trouble, my platelet count is now at 137, my blood pressure today was down to something over 60. I'm sorry but it's UVM's responsibility at this point to get a hold of me.
