I took my mother to Dr. Catherine Vishton. My Mom is elderly and needs special care in an examination. Dr. Vishton and all of the staff were fantastic. They carefully guided my Mom through the process and explained everything to her. We were able to determine that the prescription from a prior Doctor had been incorrect. The Staff who then helped my Mother select the appropriate frame, work with her when a change was necessary and helped fit the glasses were amazing! The selection of frames at Dr. Robert C. Bauman and Associates is fabulous. My mother can now see clearly in comfortable, fashionable glasses! Thank you to Emma, Jan and Dr. Vishton!!

A very modern facility. They have a machine where you can avoid having your eyes dilated. Dr. Mitchell and the entire staff are very professional and courteous.

While the good doctor is very competent, his script is repeated word for word at every visit, which makes me feel like just a number. He also maxes out my insurance coverage to the penny at every visit. And though his selection of frames and lenses is excellent, that selection comes at premium prices. I wish his professional expertise was matched by a bit of caring, but when you're the only game in town...

While on a recent ski trip to Stowe, I lost my contacts and did not have replacements with me. I called the office and they said come on in with your prescription we should have something for you. I went in, 2 minutes later left with a pair of replacement contacts, no questions aske, no $ exchanged. Service worth noting here with a 5STAR. Thank you for making what could had been a terrible day way better!

This place will give you a "comprehensive eye exam" that costs an arm and a leg, regardless of what you go in for. I went in specifically saying that I just needed new contacts and wanted a basic exam covered by my eye insurance, but they ignored my request, leaving me with a $174 bill for testing that I have no need or interest in. Additionally, the contacts that I could have purchased through them were $80 more than where I actually purchased the exact same contacts at Costco. My husband also had a terrible experience with the doctors here. I should have learned from his experience and found a new doctor, but after this latest visit, I will most definitely not be returning to this "doctors office".

Called them last minute, got fit in within hours. First time getting glasses and I couldn't believe how easy they made it. Super good team, very friendly and didn't try to up sell me. Defiantly a return customer!!

Our first visit and it simply doesn't get better than this!! Clean, well-managed, state of the art facilities, excellent optical selection to choose from and well-informed and friendly staff. Dr. Mitchell was excellent!! This will be our "go-to" place for all our families optical needs.

I had never worn glasses before and did not know what to expect. The office has all sorts of fancy equiptment. I recieved my new progressive glasses and spent a year trying to figure out what was going on with my eye sight. The office knowing I had never worn glasses before did not reach out to me to see how things were going. I finally went back and had another full examination with all the fancy equiptment and was told by Dr. Vishton that I was one step away from being considered unable to drive due to sever cataracts. I was refered to an eye surgen who completely disagreed with the diagnosis! I went back to Dr. Bauman & associates ( My Eye Dr. Dot Com). I asked how the two could have been so far off. No explanation was offered! I pushed for one but Dr. Vishton was unwilling to take any responsibility. Instead, I was told my vision had improved and I needed different lenses which, I will admit do work better. This cost me an additional $400. I brought this issue up to several within their office without an answer. The office manager told me she would speak with the Doctor and call me but she never did! Today, I was picking up contacts for my partner and saw Dr. Vishton. I again expressed my confusion and frustration and told her she had lost me as a patient. She apologized but again refused to address the complete mis-diagnosis. I would gladly give up the fancy machines and chocolates for a competent Dr! The office is clean and the staff is helpful but lack basic customer service skills. Today one of the front office supervisors who needed to look me up on the computer just looked at me and said, name. Not, May I please have your name. There are many other examples of this I could offer... This is my experience :( UPDATE: Dr. Vinton is now in control of the practice. Although she never could offer me an explanation of what really happened in the past, my recent visit with her was very positive! Her communication skills have improved dramatically and seems more comfortable. She is Extreamly smart and often people like this can be a tad socially awkward. Dr. V. has come a long way in this area

Excellent physicians and technicians armed with the latest machines and technologies so they can deliver top notch service and care. Admins can be a bit mission focused but are generally good at a minimum. Yes, the practice charges top dollar. They should for the level of service they deliver.
