I needed to look for new frames and order a new set of lenses. The woman who helped me was Sabra (I hope I'm spelling her name correctly). Sabra was very friendly, and did an excellent job answering my questions and helping me get the right lenses ordered. Thank you for your help, Sabra!

I have been coming to Eyecare of Vermont for years. The staff are professional, thoughtful, and kind. I feel comfortable and l know they listen to my concerns. I have been seeing eye doctors since I was three and Dr. Eriksson is the best one I have ever seen. I trust his expertise and appreciate his thorough approach to caring for my eyes. He is always responsive to my concerns.

Very poor service overall, I called them an hour beofre ariving to double check all was good I am glad I did. I found that they had canceled my appointment. They don't offer to schedule me with another doctor or to even offer to put me on their short list if a spot opens up. Supposedly someone was supposed to have called me but no one did and it was my fault by the tone I got. Do I get the next available slot in their books who knows had to wait 2 more weeks for the next slot they offered only to find out that again there was a scheduling issue. This time when I called the time reported to me was not what they had in the computer. Guess I will find a new eye doctor with staff that have better customer interaction skills.

Dr. Eriksson is a great diagnostician and genuine & compassionate human being, and his staff is wonderful & helpful.

Dr Greyson has always been excellent, thorough in everything he does and extremely patient. I've been a patient of his for many years now and always experienced the outstanding service he provided. Thank You.

The receptionist was ok but Lori and the office manager I believe his name is Brian from the Essex branch treated my wife bad, they charged her an extra $30 when it was there mistake, my family will never return they lost out!

A decent glasses array and helpful frame assistants. Got a new prescription for my glasses filled really easily. However, when scheduling an appointment to get contacts fitted I was told it would only cost $30, since I didn't need any care instructions having worn contacts in the past. But after I finished my appointment I was charged $80. So now I'm out $80 for contacts that I'm pretty sure I'm never going to actually wear because my eyeballs have never felt more uncomfortable in my life. I wouldn't have minded the cost otherwise but it was NOT the price I was given when making the appointment and so I wasn't prepared to pay an extra $50 for just getting a handful of trial lenses. Additionally, the first pair of lenses I tried had been put away in the wrong box, so I spent nearly 15 minutes wearing the wrong prescription during my fitting before the mistake was remedied. These two gripes could have been chalked up to human error on a normal day, but for both to happen on the same day leads me to believe that perhaps a handful of people working there don't put enough effort into their jobs. Guess I'll be going without groceries this week to pay for this experience.

Went in for an eye exam and the customer service was great fast and friendly. On the way out I winked at the cute one. She blushed. No big deal...

Staff is not welcoming. Multiple times I have gone in for an appointment or to pick up frames and all I have received is attitude. This is at the Burlington office on College Street....There is one older woman in particular who walks around with a "my **** don't stink" look on her face. She does the fitting for glasses, and when I chose a case that she didn't recommend (I wanted a colorful plastic one, not a beige leather one) she seemed insulted. The ophthalmologist is snobby and elitist, and nothing special in the way of knowledge and care. I don't feel comfortable asking any questions. It always seems like it's such an awful burden for them to answer. My glasses cost $400. I could have gotten them for half the price and with much better service had I gone to Walmart. After the warranty expires on my glasses I am taking my money elsewhere. Note: they also seem to not appreciate customers who are "hippies". They don't know anything about you, but if you have a piercing, afro, dreadlocks, or anything alternative don't expect to be treated like a worthy human being. The older lady looks at me disappointingly every time I walk in with a hint of motorcycle gear. Remember kids, wear a suit and tie if you want your eyes properly poked at!

I have been going to this location for ten years or more. I tried another optometrist office for a couple years but came back specifically for the individuals that help me choose my frames and fit my glasses.

The entire staff at EyeCare of Vermont is both courteous and extremely professional. I've been a patient for over 40 years and am completely satisfied with the care, service, and product offerings,

Excellent selection. Fabulous service. Helpful advice. I just picked up my third pair and will never go anywhere else. Recommend without reservations!

I like the place a lot, good people as far as I can tell. What did strike me as slightly off-putting may not be their doing, but it's important to recognize that charges add up quickly. I'd have given five stars if they set my expectations better about how much things would cost. I was looking at a new pair of rims, followed the instructions, stayed under the budget that they explained (what was to be paid by my insurance). All good. Then I needed lenses. Would you like special coatings? Color changing? Damage Resistance? Everything adds to the price. And, then, with my insurance there was a co-pay for the lenses. And then there was another co-pay for my office visit. Depending on your insurance carrier, these things may not apply and you (reader) and I may have different opinions on what is too costly, but I'd like them to be more clear with how the charges might pile up as different options are considered. As a consumer, it's hard to make decisions about what you want to afford when it's not clear as day.

Wonderful. It was as if I were the only client they had that day. I felt like I was the most important customer and the exam was painless, too. I was given a quote before ordering anything, and received a prompt email notification with my receipt, too. I would go back.

I had a wonderful experience as a new patient! I have anxiety with eye exams and things being near my eyes, and the staff and doctor were patient and kind! I am so happy I found this practice!

Michele Sullivan

Typical eye place, but frames are quite pricey. Staff had no issues with.

karen Sheppard

Excellent all the way around, Thank You to all of You.

I have been a patient at Eyecare of Vermont for over 20 years. Dr. Reid Grayson has always treated me very professionally and thoughtfully. The staff although busy and hardworking have always been polite and helpful. I have recommended them to friends in the past and will continue to do so.

Burlington location has big attitude. It seems to permeate the place in all staff.... from reception to the doctors. Thumbs down for overall customer service. Whether on the phone or in person, every interaction I have ever had with this place reminds me that the staff is miserable & cranky. Then they make me feel like I am the one with the problem! WHAT? No thanks. There are plenty of OTHER eye doctors. Don't waste your time. I tried it bc it's convenient; somewhere else will be worth the drive.

Chris Neckermann

Nice staff, in and out quickly. Everyone was very helpful.

I have been going to Eyecare of Vermont on College Street for about 4 years. I love it there. Every time I have wanted a new pair of frames they more than helped me. They helped me find two pairs of frames that I absolutely love. If I no longer have a pair it is because of me, not them. They have even helped repair my glasses after a dog ate them. Eyecare of Vermont also helped me start wearing contacts. I can get them in by myself and can't believe that I haven't been wearing them sooner. I have tried at 2 past eye-care places to wear contacts and their great customer support worked wonders for me. I love it there!

Alclave Shinzui

Initially I found the staff very welcoming an inviting. When I showed up for the appointment I was greeted with a smile. When ordering new frames state I only needed Frames or my glasses and i would use the frame for my sun glasses. This apparently made the gentleman visibly upset. That should have been my first warning. I ordered my glasses and lenses during that the sales person tried to sell me on every type of technology they could fit in the lenses. Each time i said no it was clear the person selling was getting more and more agitated. I was told it would take two weeks to make and receive the lenses and frames ***This location does not make lenses on site*** Two weeks go by I receive no calls, so after 5 more days or receiving no calls, I called their location and asked i my glasses arrived, the women who answered the phone sounded like she could not be bothered to check. A moment later she came back and said they arrived today, it was early in the morning so I have my doubts on whether or not it really did arrive the day I called and had them check. After getting my new glasses I noticed a couple thing off about them that raised concerns. Despite myself and my friend agreeing there was something off. There are obvious imperfections. luckily they do not interfere in eye site as of right now, but the do leave a rainbow glaze that's visible on the bottom half of the lenses. After all the is set and done with my glasses I give them my sunglasses. Once again I am told 2 weeks. Two weeks go by an nothing. 3 weeks go by still no call. I start calling each day and the answer is always "No". Finally a little more then a month later I received a "Yes". I was asked when I wanted to pick them up and said shortly like in an hour or two. I was told no you need an appointment. I have a several hour drive and I need them. So I told them really need them and they say come on in. I show up and the women at the front desk s beyod rude with her tone when she asked me for my last name. Then announced there were 2 people in front of me. 15 minutes later no on moved. people on the desk were still waiting for thei sales person an one of the people in front of me left because he could not wait any longer. its now almost 5 and no one has changed position. I walked up to the desk and asked if there was some reason I could not just pick up my sun glasses and leave. She tells the other women to make sure I dont owe anything and then grabs them a hands the to me. Why was that process so hard? She looked over the lenses and handed them over to me. I get home and take them out to look them over, the lenses are overly thick, thicker then I think they should be (that fact had no baring on my score). Right away I notice a blank ink on the lenses that is causing shadow to appear when I look through them I tried to clean it up nothing I used worked. There is an obvious scratch or bubble on the lenses left lens. There is also a - 0 indentation in the lens. Upset about the condition I called and was immediately met with indifference. I was notified those marks minus the scratch are for progressive lenses...I did not order them nor have I ever used any. So I asked why they were made progressive, was told that is what was ordered. So now I have to go back and will have to reorder the lenses. Never again will I return to this location. Next time I will go to a place that makes them on site and that have people that are always happy to see you or at least don't act happy to see you but then turn indifferent once they have your money.

Several years ago, Dr. Erickson uncovered a serious eye problem, which other Optometrists had ignored, and recommended I consult an Ophthalmologist. His professional skill was important to catching a problem that threatened my vision Over the years, I have received excellent help with optical prescriptions.

Andi Piscatella

I have been going to this office for 20+ years, and have always been pleased and felt well cared for. Jon Eriksson has always provided top notch care and the whole staff is welcoming and professional.

Dr. Cote and Dr. Phillips are who we go to. I LOVE both of them. Excellent eye care. However, their hours are limited to two days a week during school hours. Which is frustrating to make an appointment for my child. They don't have weekend appointments. It says a lot about how great these doctors are for me to stick with them. The biggest turn off is the office staff. I am not sure if they could be more drone like and less caring.

Chris Powell

Most Personable Eye Doc around. Jon Eriksson is one of the most personable healthcare professionals you will find anywhere. His genuine concern for your health and the way he runs this practice is first rate. The front desk can now legitimately call themselves customer focused.

Danielle Schiestle

My annual eye exam took two hours (I have fairly healthy eyes and not a very strong prescription - they’re very slow). I could hear the staff gossiping about patients. And everyone can hear your blood pressure being announced when it’s taken. It’s a convenient location and a great glasses selection, but it doesn’t feel like a very professional office.

Patti Smailagic

After being treated awful by Ellen. She is extremely rude and very aggressive. I asked for someone else to help me Charles was amazing explained things was very professional. I have been going to Eye Care of Vermont with my children for 8 years. After the awful service from Ellen I am not sure I will return.

Bob Maurer

My entire family is supported by Eyecare of Vermont, and has been for 17 years. I recommend them unconditionally to anyone who is looking for an excellent organization that will take great care of your vision needs and put you and your family first.

I love Dr. Busier. A caring staff that will get you in super quick if you're having problems. High-tech equipment. I get my elsewhere because I wear vintage friends, but the doctors are wonderful.

The billing person Penny Brooks the most unprofessional person I have every met. She discussed my bill with another person in the office that should not know my business!!! I do believe this is against the law! I will be seeking the attorney Generals help in this matter to get to the bottom of my medical records that were shared. What kind of place are they running when someone goes around the office like a high school student and tells personal medical issues! DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE THAT HAS A PERSON THAT IS A LIAR AND BREECHES PRIVATE MEDICAL RECORDS!!!!!!

Alexandra Tursi

I went to the Burlington office of Eyecare of Vermont. From start to finish, the experience was awful, and we experienced questionable behavior. First, the staff mislead us regarding costs. They also called my husband and shared personal health information on an outdated phone number, even though we requested three times for our phone number to be updated. When I stopped by in person to discuss my husband's care and poor experience with Dr. Phillip, they retaliated against us by lying to my face about my husband's contact lenses, which they claimed to not have, even though I confirmed that they were ordered, received voicemails about the contacts being ready, and spoke to a contact lens technician twice about the contacts having arrived. Avoid this office. If I could give zero stars I would.

I've been a patient of Dr Grayson for years. I appreciate his congeniality, and thoroughness, and professionalism. Thank you!

Travis Cook

I've been visiting the College St location for the past 4 years and have never had any issues. I was surprised to see the low rating when I googled for their phone number, and after my most recent visit I still have no idea why, as everyone seemed perfectly friendly and professional. Appointment times were generally well-kept, offices were clean and modern, all questions were answered, and they stocked my contact lens prescription at a competitive rate.

I found the entire staff at the Essex location and Dr. Phillip to be rude and very rushed. I saw them treating other patients in a hurried and unfriendly manner. The changes in my prescription were not explained even when I asked about them. The staff also had significant trouble in looking up my prescription that was just written 10 minutes prior.

Molly Braedan

Worst eye experience of my life! Lost my records, issued wrong Rx, and charged me fees without telling me of charges.

I've gone to Eyecare of Vermont for sometime now, and the glasses I've bought there have been great. They're frames are definitely pricey, coming from brands such as Ralph Lauren and Liz Claiborne. My most recent pair, I believe, we're $275 for the frames alone. I think that's really their only down side, but as for their services and eye exams they do a great job. Friendly receptionists and clean offices!

Lura Mossey

Karissa Hayes

Lori from Essex branch also the office manager I believe his name was Brian treated me with such disrespect. I ordered contacts from Lori who ordered me the wrong pare which cost me $80. The correct pare of contact lenses for me only cost $50 they refused to refund the $30 so I ended up paying a extra $30 for nothing. They said the box was opened! They were rude and very unprofessional

Marlem Ayala

Its a large practice, so you don't get the same treatment you would at a smaller place. The receptionist don't smile much.

Robin DeGregorio

My experience there has always been with friendly and helpful professionals. The cost of glasses is high, but I know that going in so it wasn't a big deal. I actually bought my frames elsewhere and they did the lenses. Always professional, courteous, and accommodating.

I came to Eyecare of VT mostly because they are in-network for my vision plan, and I couldn't be more pleased -- friendly and professional optometrists, and large selection of frames priced within the limits of my plan. Also, because they take appointments for both frame selection and pick-up, I was never left waiting.

Feel comfortably taken care of by a courteous and professional staff.

Tina Bemis

Once again a wonderful experience. Everyone was very professional and kind. Always greeted with a smile and willingness to answer any questions. Dr. Philips once again addressed my concerns and patiently allowed me to explain what my needs were. As always he provided me with options that made a huge difference as far as my appointment type and solution for my contacts. He made suggestions that were very helpful and made me feel relaxed. I had my preliminary testing as always and it was done with a smile and kindness. I am returning in a month for follow up. I look forward to my continued care by the people at Eyecare of Vermont.

Elizabeth Cecchetti

Awful experience ! If I could rate 0 stars I would . I called initially to setup an appointment for a routine eye visit and was told they accepted my insurance . Well 2 weeks later I get a bill for the visit and when I called the billing representative she was VERY rude and unprofessional . She started yelling at me and would not even allow me to ask questions on how to get rectified. Would never recommend this business to anyone! Take your money elsewhere and save yourself a headache and unnecessary fees.

Matthew David

I was a walk-in with two pairs of glasses that needed the nose pieces replaced. I was in and out in under 10 minutes with glasses fixed, cleaning cloth and carrying case for 5.00 Thank you so much.
