Good experiences in Dental Clinic. Bad experiences recently with MDs. Half-assed administrative practices. Dental technicians, for cleanings and such, are friendly and capable. Not as much experience with dentists, but no problems there. I won't be seeing any MDs again here. Patients go unheard and have no power or say in their own care. Decisions are made top-down, with patients treated as noisy, ignorant afterthoughts. (CHCB, in fairness, is one of too many examples of this behavior, but should know better.) Finally, admin people are fine, but some of the clinic's practices are incomprehensible. However, the sliding scale fees are helpful to many people.

Leo Kline is super agressive. Inappropriate bedside manner. He tries to start arguments. When patients go in because they're not feeling well, the last thing they need is to be treated like a punching bag. I also met with other NP's in the medical department that also walked into the room with poor attitudes. They mock you and treat you like you're making everything up (Kristin Gray). And the dental department lost my xrays that were transfered from my old dentist. They failed to tell me that once I transfered, they wouldn't be scheduling me until 6 months out. I had an infected tooth. I had to go back to my old denist, be exposed to more xrays, and get it pulled.

Beach Conger

My name is Beach Conger. I am a doctor at the Community Health Center, so my impression may be biased, but I am mentioned in one of the reviews, so I feel it is reasonable to respond to the pernicious comments below about Margaret Russell. Margaret is one of the most conscientious and considerate practitioners I have known. I have worked with her on countless cases and always found her to be compassionate and caring as well as thorough. I would not hesitate to see her myself should the need arise or have any of my family members do so. I do not know the particulars of the visit in question above, but I am confident that the experience described is utterly at odds with mine.

I had my pre-operation physical with them. I did everything possible to make sure they had my records from my past providers. Which they did not and could not even get. Even after all the HIPAA releases I signed for them to do so. Still nothing relative to any of my pertinent information was given to them. They went off of ER reports that had nothing to do with my past history. And openly told me they will not use the labs as a reference point. The worse point was being denied my operation on their account. Because I didn't have two appointments that in all reality I didn't need at all. They didn't inform me about the need for them I had to find out by the operating doctors office that they denied me. They just wanted to run the insurance. That is the biggest disappointment of all. Even after all of their tests they did in office they did this. I will not ever go their again. This location needs to grow a great deal before I would evER consider it . They need to start with records keeping, then patient information, along with a better consideration of time for referrals and turn around time. Yes I am a HR admin and what I just saw today was the worse at its best. DON'T GO HERE THEIR ARE BETTER THEN THEM. YOU DESERVE BETTER THEN CHCB

I was recently asked about a review that was made on The Community Health Center of Burlington. It was told it said some Horrible thing PACIFICALLY about the dental department, I'd like to first start out with saying I have never made a review on this place or any other place for that matter. I did go back and read however what was written. For one that was just plain hateful and ignorant. Anyone that does know me knows that I would never speak about anyones race. I am very upset about this and will get to the bottom of this. For anyone at the community health center this has effected I am deeply sorry. I would like to say also that I have Never been seen in the dental department so whomever did write this under my name mad an A%% of themselves and unfortunately me as well. The people at the community health center have always been polite and courteous and very respectful. With that said again I apologize for someone's stupidity

The Community Health Center provides a valuable service to our community. The dental team are all professionals who care about our kids and want the best for every child! Keep up the good work.

I had a sinus infection and was able to walk into an appointment straight away, the check-in staff, nurse and doctor I saw could not have been nicer or more professional and took care of my needs completely. the facility is bright, clean and cheerful and seems very well run.

Love my Doctor. Hate the Facility, the staff could be less condescending towards patients, I don't trust them with Copays and they rarely pic up the phone (particularly the Dental Center). Looking at changing MDs due to the facility. Yes most people who go the CHCB are lower income and may need help, but as a fellow healthcare professional I am embarrassed how they treat people.

Richard K

Have visited a dozen times in the last 5 years, both for medical and dental. Always a positive experience, from the front desk to med staff. Courteous, knowledgable, and efficient. Dr. Val and Dr. Thornton are excellent dentists, and have worked hard to save teeth that would have been lost ( pulled ) elsewhere. The dentists and doctors have graduated from top notch schools, including McGill and Tufts. We are very fortunate to have such a great, modern facility in our community !

Ethan Gilson

I have always had excellent care here, very professional and compassionate staff.

Kate French

Wonderful people. Everything expedient professional and smooth !

Hands down worst place I have dealt with for health care. It’s difficult to schedule appointments without a hassle, and when you do show up for your scheduled appointment, you still have to wait an hour to be seen. Happy to have found a new place that isn’t so dysfunctional, and don’t have to deal with this place anymore!

D. Vital .

I can't believe how my daughter and I were treated today. Customer service truly goes a long way as well as properly communicating to your patients what the expectations are in terms of arrival, parking, and what is considered a "missed" appointment, and when an appointment "starts" versus check in time. I ended up walking out. There's no excuse for the level of rudeness and lack of professionalism we experienced, doesn't matter if we were late.

I have always had exceptional care and service at CHC in Burlington. I hold them in the highest regard and would recommend them to anyone.

Kate O

If I could give CHC zero stars, I would. I'm a new patient there, and so far my experience has been disastrous. My doctor, Lauren Miller, seems competent enough, though she has repeatedly failed to call in prescriptions and needed follow-up calls to be reminded to do so, but the rest of the operation is a huge mess and incredibly frustrating. It took me three weeks to get a referral. The doctor ordered it but the "referrals department" took three weeks and multiple follow-up phone calls to actually arrange it, and then I had to wait another week for the appointment itself (which means it took three times as long for CHC to arrange the appointment than it took for the specialist to schedule it). I emailed the patient feedback people at Community Health Centers during this process and never heard back. Three weeks ago I had an appointment at which I had blood work done and, because my doctor recommended I see a specialist, signed a form asking for relevant records to be sent to that specialist. When I showed up for my appointment at that specialist's office, they had not received the records they needed for that appointment. When I called CHC from the specialist's office hoping they could send the records as soon as possible, I was transferred to the "records department," where I got their voicemail. In the meantime I have not received the results of the blood work that was done three weeks ago. When it hadn't been posted to the patient portal after a week I called and was told it should be posted in a day or two. When it still had not been posted a week after that, I called and was told I needed to contact "tech support," so I called and left a message for tech support. Three days later I got a call back from tech support telling me I needed to call my doctor and tell her she needed to upload the records. When I called CHC and asked about this, the woman on the phone told me she couldn't help me because she's "not a patient" there and doesn't know how the portal works. I pointed out that whether or not she is a patient there is irrelevant--it was her office that suggested I sign up for the portal and told me my records would be there, and it is her office that administers the portal. She said she would let the doctor know she needed to upload the results (how does the doctor not know that?) and indicated the results had also been sent via mail last week (two weeks after the initial appointment). I never received the results CHC supposedly mailed and based on their track record assume they were never sent. I had a very difficult time finding a primary care doctor in the Burlington area that takes my insurance and was accepting new patients, so I feel trapped at CHC, but if you can do anything to avoid it, I would.

goober mcginty

Like any place that accepts state insurance, they love to give you pills to numb your brain, but they won't give you anything for pain..Any hopes of having a real patient-doctor relationship was gone the minute they handed me a blank form with generic symptoms on it from Pfizer Corp.I did a little research and found out that they use this sheet to decide if you might benefit from medication..Kinda like Mc Donalds giving you a sheet to find out if you might benefit from a Big Mac..I did a little more research and found out the doctors get rewarded for prescribing certain amounts of these drugs..Look people, the sad truth is if you don't have insurance from a respected provider, you will be treated like a drug seeker..What the hell is the sense in waiting 2 hours to see a doctor who tells you to take Tylenol? I have a severe injury, yet instead of having any imaging done, they referred me for P.T.first...contrary to common sense..does the P.T. have the ability to see how much scar tissue I may or may not have BEFORE I possibly damage it more? They also kept the door open the entire time I was talking about my symptoms, allowing everyone walking by to hear..It has more of a charity clinic feel to it,not a professional medical center..

Although I believe CHCB serves a valuable service, I will not go back to them. the short of it long wait times and impersonal care. After making an appointment with a specific doctor who was recommended to me, I was switched to another doctor, and then another. I have arrived for an appointment only to be told that the doctor was out that day and they forgot to call me. When I have made an appointment I expect to wait at least an hour after my appointment time just to see the doctor. Each time I've called CHCB, I've waited 30 min on hold. Several people answering have been rude. My doctor denied a routine prescription refill without letting me know (prescription service told me) and then when I called she sent it to the wrong pharmacy. I've had to prompt routine, basic questions during check ups. I made an appointment for my partner once and he refuses to to return. There are some lovely people who work here, and CHCB does provide an important service, but if you can avoid the Center, I would.

I have found a place that cares in an honest practice. After 27 yrs. with one Dentist I feel free from the struggle

Mental health care for kids and adults--it's a miracle in Vermont!!

Hannah Smith

I've had only positive experiences here! They are a caring group of people.

El Bee

The Primary Care Physicians that are 'still accepting new patients' are a waste of time. They two I dealt with were a range of rude, neglectful, and completely unprofessional. There was even name calling involved. Take the time to find another healthcare center.

Lorrie Lavallee

I go here for basic check ups but when in real need of a diagnosis, DON'T GO! I had a kidney infection and was given the incorrect meds and for the wrong amount of time. They had me on the basic antibiotics for a baldder infection and when I told them I was still in pain they told me there was nothing else they could do and sent me to the ER. The ER doctor told me that all they needed to do was give me three more days of antibiotics and going to the ER was a waste of money. I am hoping to switch doctors ASAP. If you are desperate than they are OK, but there is no real care for the patient and the wait is always way too long. I usually wait 1 hour past my scheduled appointment time. They either need more doctors or more locations so people get the service they deserve. My doctor is always nice though! : )

I haven’t been to see a doctor since I was a child so going into this I was very nervous to say the least. Happily I came out of there feeling taken care of and like I can take a sigh of relief knowing I have a doctor I feel comfortable with.

They don't treat a patient with respect, trust, or dignity. I was denied psych care because I was addicted to pain killers after an accident at work years ago. However, I have been sober for years off of opiates now but that doesn't seem to matter to CHCB. I have always had PTSD, panic disorder, ADHD, and insomnia. CHCB never considered treating my panic and anxiety because they were worried about their own "image" in the community, but they don't hesitate to prescribe Zoloft, Paxil, lamictal, lexapro, depakote, Bellsomra, or Zyprexa, ect. They hand out referrals and horrible anti depressants by the boat load, but only hand out the meds that they have all agreed to prescribe as a "team" of doctors. And if you ever had a hint of a sunstance problem in your past, you will always be villified for it. If you are looking for a trusting and caring doctor/patient primary care office, you should stick to the emergency room or the nearest methadone clinic because your care provider needs permission from all the other doctors at CHCB before they can take any action. At CHCB it is the "image" of CHC and "group think" decisions thst come first instead of the patient. It hurts me to write these words. I have gone to CHC since I was a boy and am now 31. However, they have continuously gotten away with treating patients like garbage, just another number, and providing poor quality care because each physician has over 100 patients and every decision for a patient is made by a committee instead of a doctor and their patient. CHC is all smoke and mirrors. It continues to plumpet downhill. How long until they are sued for malpractice for negligent practice of medicine because of all the issues this place has? Do your family & yourself a favor, and try to obtain primary/dental/ and psych care somewhere else. This place doesn't help you feel better, it drives you insane. My step dad almost died because hebwas puking up black bile for months and CHC doctors told him "oh its stress and a bad diet"... A few weeks later he couldnt even walk and went to the ER to find out he needed an emergency gallbladder surgery and a surgery for diverticulitis. What a horrible joke. My dad almost died because CHC treated him lile they treat most patients... Like poor unemployed white trash drug addicts or poor displaced immigrants from war torn country's. They dont care about the people, they care about their med licenses and the brand. Well I'm here to say its all a big fat joke. And if I lose my doctor for posting this, it will just further the narrative that CHC lacks professionalism, compassion, understanding, or the human condition. #facts

Loved and missed CHC in Riverside, Burlington of Vermont. Such a wonderful and kind staffs I ever met before, Specially thanks a lot Dr. Liana as well whole Team.

If 0 stars were possible they get 0 stars. Poor service to say the least. Grievance system is a joke. Just so they can say they have one. That's where you get directed no one apparently is a supervisor or manager. Just Try to get a hold of a person to help you. Someone should sue for patient neglect. Communication is nil. They have you leave a message for whoever you need like nurse or doctor. They call back a week or two later. They said if it's bad enough go to emergency room. Can you believe that! Don't go here, don't say I didn't warn you.

Although sometimes difficult to reach someone in the office via phone; I'm lucky enough to say I've had terrific luck with CHC, otherwise!! Most of their providers are amazing!!

This is ridiculous. I tried to set up an appt because I was feeling awful from my medicine so I called and they told me to come in. I finished doing a couple things, got ready to go, but since I have to walk there I figured I would call to make sure they were ready for me. Good thing I called...this was the convo with the new lady to answer. "We have no open appointments you would have to come tomorrow." I explained "I called early and the lady said I could come in. It is bs that I have to wait another day because I literally can't do that with my sickness." She said "my coworker meant come in asap, because it's first come first serve." I told the new nurse her coworker did NOT say that on the phone and that's garbage because that's something you should definitely tell people like I can't drive anywhere so I guess that means I need to figure something else out, and with no response she simply hungup. So much for "helping" people. And yes, I did use ONE cuss word, but it was not directed at her...simply at how the situation they put me in was absolutely pathetic. I will never recommend this place

Helpful and friendly staff. Building is clean and modern. The PA took time to talk to me and I didn't feel hurried.

I took my daughter (8 months) to CHCB. That was emergency appointment and make me to wait for 1 hour. Worst thing is my daughter was vomiting right in front of them but they don't care. I went to window several times to check if they can help me out, but they were super busy talking to themselves. Worst experience ever. I don't wanna recommend any of you to go CHCB for physical or dental.

I have the most horrible experience with this facility. Myself and my wife contacted the facility in Jan 2014 for our immigration related medical examination. We were directed to doctor Tara Chasnoff . However final form I-693 was signed by Andrey Wen MD whom we never met. The medical examination included physical check ,vaccinations based on the blood work and final documentation. The whole process took 4 months to complete and I was given the final documentation by end of May 2014. We have to visit the facility 5 times to complete all tests. I had to repeat the same medical test again in 2016 and the same process took only a week with another USCIS approved civil surgeon (Everything was over in 3 consecutive visits, first day physical and blood work, second day vaccination and third day documentation) The I-693 documentation provided from community health center was incomplete and inaccurate. I discovered the same when I met another civil surgeon in 2016 to repeat the tests. My new surgeon was verifying the details from the previous medical tests and found that many details were not properly filled. I was totally disappointed at this finding as I lost lot of money in the first exam but still documentation is ambiguous. My civil surgeon also discovered that some of the tests performed earlier were costly ones even tough there were cheaper alternatives. In 2014, I had to call facility at least 20 times to move the things in 4 months. Every time I call, nurse will pick up and update me that she is not the one who is handling my case and that someone else will contact me. But most of the time nothing happened and I had to call and cry again. I was told that immigration related tests will usually take this much time as civil surgeons are usually busy. I realized that I was probably misguided and cheated by the staff. My friends were able to get things done much faster from other facilities. I am giving this review after close to 2 years as I realized how dragging the things were. The following is how our appointments went at community health center Jan 2014- First appointment. The basic details of us were collected . Met doctor Tara Chasnoff. No tests or physical was done on same day. Got next appointment after 1.5 month March 2014- Physical completed. Doctor forgot to tell us that our blood samples need to be collected for determining the vaccinations required in our first visit. Asked to come again another day to collect blood samples as the lab was closed on that day. March 2014 - Blood samples were collected. Updated us that test results will be ready in a week and someone will call us to let the results are ready to book appointment for vaccination. April 2014- Vaccinations taken. We were told that documentation will be completed soon and we will be given a call to come and collect same. There was no response after that for 2 weeks. I started calling them almost everyday. After 3 weeks I was told that one of the blood test result is missing for my wife and we have to go again to give the blood samples again.(See how responsible the staff is ) May 2014- Second set of bold samples were given. Again took another 2 weeks passed. There was no update. I started calling them daily again. Each time I got different excuses like surgeon is on leave and not available , a different nurse was handling case etc. Final documentation was provided with lot of struggle by end of May. May be the issue I faced was and odd case. But I will never recommend this facility to anyone who genuinely desire that they need personal attention.

Clean facilities, great staff, knowledgeable doctors. I wouldn’t go anywhere else in the Champlain Valley.

I'm not overly impressed with the care I've gotten over the years. Insurance issues and finding a new doctor are not on my to do list. That said, 2 years ago I told Dr. I can feel something isn't right...... still waiting for a plan to figure out what the deal is . They're stuck on getting me on new medication with new side effects that are debilitating! Doesn't matter if I have taken old meds for 40 years with no side effects !!! Still haven't heard about this issue I'm concerned about , it's not important that I don't feel good, the answer is a "Here, take this for that on going known issue and come back in 3 months ." Sad, sad, sad.

Nate Richardson

Hands down the worst, most disrespectful doctors/dentist office I've ever been too. From being made fun of by staff for a skin condition ,to being treated like a worthless junkie by doctors, doctors laughing at real concerns & issues!! I don't understand how Dateline isn't doing a undercover story about this place!! Just pitiful! The majority of the reviews for this "community" health center are horrible!! Maybe this should tell the ppl who run this 2nd rate doc n a box they need some SERIOUS re-staffing issues. Dr. Martinez is the only decent employee, in my experience, which has span 7rl yrs! Don't respond with apologies & suggestions for formal grievances that obviously go ignored judging by all the 1 star reviews.

I have a RAGING toothache. I went with trepidation to the Community Health Centers of Burlington fearing a paperwork nightmare. Not only did Amelia walk me through all the paperwork, but everything was very clearly laid out. She even helped me sign up for my new Health Insurance which was extremely helpful and saved me a ton of time. She even got me in for an appointment in less than 24 hours which is no small feat. My dental appointment is later today and I can't wait - many thanks to the good people at Community Health Centers for making life for a Vermont entrepreneur much easier. THANKS!

Horrible customer service, they call you, hang up and don't leave a voicemail after you left an urgent voicemail regarding a prescription.... classy.

Dr. Rachel Inker is the best!!! I've had her for almost 10 years and she is by far my favorite doctor of all time. Dr. Phil has nothing on you girl <3

Kara Torres

I recently received excellent dental care here. I saw Amber for a dental cleaning, and she was incredibly helpful and thorough. I've never before had a dentist give me such clear, complete information. It will make it a lot easier for me to take care of my teeth. She even measured my gums in order to have a standard for future recession! No one has ever done such a thing before.

Some providers are very good, very helpful. However I wanted to point out that some of their employees who answer the phones and make appointments leave a lot to be desired. Their demeanor can be brusk and condescending and I do not appreciate it.

The staff are great. The psychiatric dept. Is Not sympathetic. Honesty and transparency is what I gave to my recent Psychiatrist! For a person, not naive to the medication system. Studying psychology. A Medication doesn't change efficacy! Unless structural composition changes. For a + or - "for example imipramine" for high bp. Usually a common addition with stimulants. I don't even get transparency myself! God forbid if I may be absolutely correct as to what should be used for Treatment! Its sad, I have old friends/2nd family I neglected for a graduation party to attend. I was never like this before! While on a specific med, I was very sociable, had been able to retain conversations "especially from the Halloween party 3 years ago. GREAT COSTUMES SLASH! From GNR. Halloween party. I hope this lethargic, no motivation or ambition goes away. PS: "ACTIVE ALCOHOLIC'S ALCOHOLISM WITH WARWICKS SYNDROME SHOULDN'T BE ABLE TO HAVE A SAY IN TX. Picking up new RX now. I'm praying it works!

Great healthcare folks here; never have disappointed and always helped me. The dental receptionist folks can be very rude, but the dentists / hygienists are angels. Sliding scale is outstanding.

Christopher Eling

I've had all positive experiences here. Nurse practitioners and doctors have been responsive and knowledgeable, the staff has been helpful and efficient, and the facility itself is pleasant too. Medical advice/diagnoses have been excellent and referral to others when necessary has been smooth. I am grateful for this place.

I just spent two months waiting for a 'physical exam' from my 'primary care provider.' I went to the appointment today. They took my blood pressure. They tried to get me to let them give me an injection, a vaccination for tetanus. I politely declined. The 'doctor' never so much as took my pulse much less had me disrobe or listen to my heart and lungs or anything! No blood or urine work-up. No offer for a prostate exam though I am in my mid-40's. I never even came into physical contact with that doctor. She did not touch me once. This is the first 'physical exam' I have had in years. I am in my mid-40's and have myriad health issues. My older blood work shows diabetes but they don't even want me to have a blood sugar meter, going so far as to block me from getting a free one from Liberty Medical. Can't wait to see the bill to my insurance. I'll bet its well over $1,000. Outrageous. And when I do develop a serious problem am I supposed to go to these people, who have effectively refused to do any sort of evaluation that might actually detect a condition in its early stages?

Peter Deng

The only problem that I have noticed with Community Health Center of Burlington is that they are not good at giving patients appointment and also on treatment part too. I have personally experienced myself many time. I was really suffering and want to see the doctor immediately but when I call their customer representative answer the phone and told me there was no appointment available for the day. That was understandable but I told the representative over the phone "ok how about tomorrow?" The representative then told me to call back next day in the morning at 7am and that they will try their best to see if they can get me in (again no guarantee here). O boy, as a businessman I am telling you this is not the best way to handle patient. Patient call because he or she is suffering and would like to see the doctor so that he or she can get cure and not to be told call back tomorrow. When it come to treatment, I really can't give any positive recommendation because every time I go there with hope that doctors are going to figure out what I am suffering from and at least do the best they can because they are the expert, I always ended up returning to my apartment very disappointed with the service and the kind of treatment I get. I saw different doctors but they were kind of the same. However, I continued to go there anyway with a hope that they have changed or will one day change but they are actually not changing and that is very sad. I hope the administration will work hard to bring changes to this community health center when they read reviews like this one. I sometime say "maybe the system was not design to work for everyone here." Good thing, I am not stopping going there anyway but I will continue to write reviews if nothing change. Peter

You are required by HIPPA to release my medical records within 31 days. It has been almost 2.5 months. Please explain why you are above the law? Just another reason why I am leaving this health center. -Just to follow up. I did file a grievance with the health center and never heard back. In addition I left a voicemail with the administrator in charge of patient records. Never received a call back from them either. In fact I've filed two grievances with the health center over the last year. Never once was I contacted. I've lost all respect for this facility.

Pamela Fontaine

Medical side: first doctor kept me anemic for a long time which to this day Fanny Allen urgent care doctor said my body is still trying to recover from it, second doctor couldn't do a pap test, Third Doctor ehh.... Dental: first dentist retired, he was decent. Second dentist nice and gentle but convinced me to pull a molar instead of trying to help me save it...... then the premolar in front of it needed the same attention, managed to save it. Both my premolars are crowns but the odd-looking one with the wad of spinach stuck in the gap is done by the community health center, needless to say I'm not happy, tried filing a grievance but they don't seem to think that I have one. They think I should live with the gap. Wasted $600 of my money and stuck with an odd crown that doesn't work with my mouth and I can't slide my lower jaw to the right all the way.

Place is horrible to go to and they jerk you around and take there time and make you suffer a lot over many months.

I have used the Community Health Center for many years, and haven't had any real issues, but then again, I never really had anything big happen until recently. I was taken to the ER three weeks ago today, when my leg gave out. I was told to see my doctor right away to get a referral for a MRI because I had major damage to my knee. Today, after 3 weeks and in terrible pain, I still haven't had a MRI and while Community Health Center blamed everyone else, it has been made very clear to me by my insurance company and others in the community, that they simply haven't done their job. Meanwhile, I'm unable to work, walk, drive or take care of my children, all with the fear of not knowing what is wrong with my leg. I feel completely let down by them and wish I hadn't wasted three weeks in putting my trust in them.

If you like waiting for an hour in the waiting room and then the same amount or close to it once you're in the actual patient room, this place is for you! If not, I'd suggest Thomas Chittenden Health Center.

All the doctors are wonderful! I was first skeptical of having a younger doctor my age,but Doctor Stein has proven time & again how knowledgeable she is at her job. From Tara to Margaret and even the newbies out of college all knowledgeable! I have been a patient since I was a child & am very satisfied with my care.

I have had the WORST health care services at this facility. Over the years I have tried several doctors who practice here, and 90% of them didn't diagnose the situation properly. Among other poor judgments, once I was told the pain I was experiencing was stress (I had gall stones and needed to have my gall bladder removed). I also scheduled a physical, like the other review I read, I also was never even touched by the doctor - she wanted to do a pap exam?! I had come in for a physical and was told they wouldn't be able to address the issues I was concerned with because they had only scheduled 15 minutes - for a physical?! It's a get them in, get them out kind of practice, and Margaret Russell is THE RUDEST, most INCOMPETENT doctor there. She has walked out of the room while I am still talking to her about health concerns because we are "out of time". She has no bed side manner whatsoever, and has misdiagnosed several times. The time my gall bladder needed to be removed, I left her office in tears, and had to go back 3 times just to get the ultrasound. She has actually told me her excuse for not giving good care is that they simply don't have the time. I should have left years ago. If you care about the actual management of your health and wellness, you will NOT choose the community health center.

I only go to the dental there. Recently went to have a wisdom tooth extracted I was having alot of anxiety but it went fine and was fast Dr. Val is awesome! I've had top wisdoms done by him in the past and would always prefer to see him for teeth issues.

Incredible nurses and doctor's on staff. The MD I deal with is easy to talk to and is dedicated to being collaborative with her patients. Wait times after check-in can be a little long sometimes, but that's to be expected from a place that handles so much of the community. They also offer an online patient portal that allows you to securely send messages back and forth with your doctor, look at your chart, etc. I definitely recommend for anyone who has pretty basic medical needs.

I have consistently had the best medical and dental care that I've ever had. I moved to Burlington Vermont in 2011 and feared I would not find as good health care as I'd had in Boston Massachusetts, a place known for it's health care system. The doctors here are caring and personable. I like the fact that there are a lot of women professionals on staff.

The appointment staff was good but the Doctors I dealt with were some of the worst I have ever had to. The main Doctor for the Center I think is crooked and has openly caused harm, mocked the process of review and has bullied and harassed me by phone. The damage to my system is everyday and lasting. Avoid at all costs. Note* added 3/13 - had to send a 'Cease and Desist' for threatening behavior and intimated Dr. Fisher and Inker! I wish they would stop harassing me.
