My son and I have been going to the Westridge clinic for almost 4 years. I love him pediatrician, and my doctors and staff.

Nothing but wonderful things to say about the staff and doctors at the Westridge Health Center. The receptionists are always friendly, the MA's and PA's are great, and all the doctors I have seen have been very knowledgeable and kind. I particularly like Dr. Matthew Johnson. He is always friendly and interested, and takes the time to really find out what's going on. I would recommend this clinic to anyone!

Lynelle Cruz

I think our doctors we see at the Westridge clinic are great. Along with all the staff we see and talk with throughout our appts or calls. We've been using this clinic for close to 20 yrs. I don't plan on going elsewhere any time soon

I had an appt. at this clinic, I arrived 40 minutes early to check in. I just moved to the area, and I have always gone to the Greenwood Clinic, (they usually bill me, and I know all there computers are inter-connected). So as I check in the Fat lady at the front desk tells me I need to have my co-pay, so I told her to go ahead and bill me, she refused, and wouldn't even look up my past financial history on her computer. She turned me away. So I called and made an appt immediately with the Greenwood Clinic. They got me in with in 10 minutes, and BILLED me my copay ( Yes, I have insurance). Then I receive a U of U health clinic post card in the mail stating Sorry you missed your appt. So I called them and let know, I was turned away, I had not missed my appt, and I had been 40 min. early. They stated it is company policy that if they can not fill the position even if I was turned away that it goes on the record as a missed appt. So I contacted my insurance advised them to pay nothing if billed, they agreed. I then contacted an attorney, and we are in the process, of seeing about some policy change's with the Clinic policy's. P.S. The supervisor, was even contacted and spoke with the doctor who said she would not see me until I had the Co-pay. Thank you Dr. I now have to have my hip flexor surgically reattached. I had ripped it the night before. Thought it was just a pulled muscle...NOPE!!!! Thanks for your crappy service University of Utah Westridge Health Center. I guess I should expect nothing less from the Ghetto clinic.

My OB sent me to this clinic so I could get some labs done since I no longer lived close to her office.... I am extremely annoyed by how rude the lab tech was. She was all upset that my doctor did not order the certain testing I was getting done. She made it my problem and gave me lots of attitude for it. The tech had no idea what to do, and was making me contact my dr to figure out what was going on. Extremely rude, short, and made the issue my problem. I will definitely not be coming back to this location ever again. SO RUDE!

I went in with really bad ear pain and was diagnosed with sinusitis and nothing was done with my ear pain. The dr did say that I had an ear infection. I could barely hear out of it. I was in between insurances at the time and I asked the dr if it didn’t get better if I could call in and get an antibiotic. He said yes. He did not put anything in his notes about the main reason why I was there or that I could get antibiotics if not better. So I had to go back in and I saw another dr that said himself that I should have been put on antibiotics from the beginning. So I was really happy with the second dr. But the first dr and billing are just not right. I tried to fight the first visit because nothing was done to help the actual problem when I came in. They said there is nothing they can do. So now because I had no insurance at the time I have to pay $450 for a visit that wasted both their time and mine.

Really nice people here, receptionists and staff in the back are great, Dr. Sheffield took his time to listen to all of my medical concern's , nice guy,

My crappie service started right at the front desk. The lady who checked me in was rude and condescending. She treated me like scum. I then went back to the room where we were informed one of my kids was being seen by a different doctor. He said wow your really sick. Throat is swollen and everything. Treatment plan HONEY!! Are you freaking kidding me. What a joke. Now I have to pay an additional 35 dollars copay to see another Dr in two days. Thanks for nothing!

Tara Rivera

We usually have a pretty good experience here. At my last visit I saw Wei Ting Chao (PA-C) and he was the nicest Dr I've ever had. I am definitely going to request him in the future!

Lizbette Martinez

I came into urgent care today and the process was really fast. I waited max 10-15 min and was called in right away. I was greeted by a kind lady and the staff was super friendly and answered any question that I had. My prescription took about 10 minutes. It was a great experience and I defiently recommend it!

lipton Lipton

Was seen by Dr. Palmer, worst care I ever had.

Brought my son in because he looked miserable and had a fever after our long journey home from California which was a 9+ hr drive. They took his temp which was 102. Oxygen was slightly low 89. They didn’t complete the exam just Told me I needed an ambulance to the emergency room. I told them it wasn’t necessary I could take him, to which the Dr. scared me by telling me that his oxygen was real low and that he could have cardiac arrest at any moment. I started crying thinking my son was dying. They gave him IBprofin and put him on oxygen for no longer than 5 min before the ambulance showed up. In that 5-10 min his fever almost dropped immediately and his oxygen level was back up. But they didn’t take a minute to check how he did without the oxygen before they put us in the ambulance but it stayed stable at 95. The whole ambulance ride his oxygen and was 95 and the medic didn’t even put the oxygen on him. Because he was steady. I had to tell the medic the only reason they put us in the ambulance was because he needed oxygen otherwise this is just a glorified Uber ride and that’s when he said I think he’s fine but will put it on. When we got to the emergency room the Drs even commented that he didn’t look that bad. There they suctioned his nose, checked his ears and prescribed me antibiotics for an ear infection and sent me on my way. 1000$ bill for the emergency room to tell me my son had a cold and an ear infection that the clinic didn’t even bother to check. These ppl are incompetent. I understand that they were about his oxygen and temp but the monitor read them as stable before we got in the ambulance and they didn’t even bother to take a breat and take him off the oxygen to see if he stayed stable Which he did. I’m up to my ears In debt from an unnecessary emergency room visit that they sent me to in an ambulance all because the couldn’t be bothered to spend an extra 10 min to see if he was stable and complete the exam.

The staff at Westridge Clinic are amazing. I have never had a issue and their service is always exemplarily. You are in good hands with this clinic. Ask for Dr. Matt Johnson. He's the best there!

Came in before urgent care was open bleeding all over. They got me in right away and got everything taken care of.

Natalie Peck

Worst experience EVER! Went to the urgent care after a fall and was directed by my normal physician to go in to nearest location.....I have been here before with no complaints. This last experience was the most uncomfortable after I walked in back room. Was left there for an hour with nobody checking on me or asking if I needed anything. When I finally was so uncomfortable and fed up I was told I was next, but they were unsure of how long that would be. Honestly if you are going to run an urgent care, please treat it that way. I will say that the lady at front desk was very helpful and they got me back extremely fast......but as for the staff behind that door I would give a zero star!

Seirra Satterfield

Very helpful and explainitory staff. Dr. Flynn is also very helpful and understanding!

Beth Klaus

Love my DOC hate service. Bad receptionist. Basically nothing good to say besides DOC. I tell them every time nothing is done CUSTOMER SERVICE IS 0! Helpfulness good luck.

PHARMACY: Make sure you double check everything before you leave. even though you request your refill over the internet, get a confirmation of exactly what is supposed to be in the order, and call ahead to let them know you are coming, somehow it is still really hard for the pharmacists at the counter to look at the paper that they have printed up, and put all of those things in the bag for you. I sent my poor wife back twice today to complete my order, and have to go back again tomorrow to get the last one. Isn't the entire job of a pharmacist to look at a paper, see how many things are listed, and then put the right amount of the right kind of things in the bottle or bag? I assume these guys went to school for this, there should have been a class at some point that addressed the vital need to "put four things in the bag." how do you know how many to put in the bag? it's written on the paper.

Grant Matheson

Awesome place. Super friendly staff. Took care of the issue.

This Guy

The receptionist is the worst rude not friendly or helpful the BLOND girl. always talks down to me. one of the girl are great I have waited in the line longer just to bypass the mean lady's. Also the phone service and getting a hold of the DOC is terrible. once they send a message after fighting for hours on phone the doc calls you right back, they need to work on service

I do understand I have an unusual name so I don't mind helping and I truly don't mind if they get it wrong but to argue with me. About the correct pronouncation is rude so I was pleased when I asked for someone else I was able to get someone else who was actually nice by asking me how I wanted to be called normally care here is good

I normally wouldn’t go into such detail, but I want to prevent this from happening to another female. I set an appointment with OBGYN Dr. Gordon Park. I got to the clinic and it was dirty and loud from construction - annoying but understandable. Doctor was 20 minutes behind schedule. Then I had to wait in the patient room for about 15 minutes before he came in. He said “this is a medical student, his name is _____.” He never asked if it was okay to have him present... Then he came back to do an exam with a speculum. He said “my medical assistant will use the speculum.” He NEVER ASKED IF THIS WAS OKAY. Then, this terrible medical student did NOT KNOW WHERE THE VAGINAL CANAL WAS. He tried to put it in my urethra area. It was uncomfortable and I felt violated for obvious reasons. Eventually the doctor took over... As far as the reason I was there: the doctor seemed a little invalidating, but I was also very frank with him about how much I’m frustrated with the pelvic pain I’ve been experiencing. Long story short, he told me “your IUD is maybe a half centimeter out of place, but I’m not concerned about it.” I convinced him to let me do a high frequency ultrasound at the main hospital. After the HQ Ultrasound was done, the doctor didn’t call me. The technician left a note in My Chart that basically said “the IUD is low but it’s fine.” Then today, my usual OBGYN Dr. Chelu called me after seeing my imaging. She wants me to come in and get the IUD replaced. What would have happened if she didn’t get involved?? I am so disgusted with what happened yesterday at this clinic and I hope I can prevent it from happening to anyone else.

I went in with a sudden case of vertigo. I was dizzy, throwing up every couple of minutes, and couldn't see or think straight. They had me sign a contract with small print saying they could sue if I didn't pay. I normally read everything I sign, but I was out of my mind with vertigo and must not have noticed. After the visit, they said they'd bill my insurance and then let me know what I owed. They never contacted me with any bill. A year later, I got a summons from Express Recovery Services saying they're suing me for over $400 for a $54 medical bill. ERS wouldn't provide any information on where the bill came from, even though they are contracted directly with U of U Health. I paid the amount owed, but they wouldn't drop it. Eventually I had to pay their somehow-legal extortion racket to avoid going to court and racking up even more "attorneys fees".

I love the staff at Westridge center they are always so sweet. Love the doctor I have. She is great and I can't say enough good things about her. My husband also see a doctor at Westridge and he is also wonderful.

Lety Navarrete

DR. Sheffield, one of the worst Dr's at the westridge clinic,he thinks we all have to become robots once in the exam room..Yes sir no sir those are the responses he expects...he would not treat my dry, itchy and flaky scalp because my hair was wet so he wanted me to return when hair and scalp is dry in order for him to maybe recommend something..so dissapointed with some Dr's there especially Dr.Sheffield..left the clinic in tears.

Emily Joyce

Dr. Sheffield misdiagnosed without doing any tests, it caused a lot of problems. Dr. Irby is great. Avoid Dr. Sheffield at all costs. He is not a good doctor.

Went in to see if they could fix my bone spur on my foot. Also to take blood for A prostate exam. They charged me almost $1000.00 for that. I have good insurance and I dont like the U of U cost. I ended up fixing my foot on my own at hardly any cost and they{U of U} new about this fix. They just want your money.

Jill Harrison

Took my child to the eye center to see Dr Dahl. He is very nice, willing to listen and work with your concerns to the best of his ability. He even tried to help me with a follow-up visit to investigate if my child was dealing with vision problems versus dyslexia and help me to get an approval for my insurance for some extra therapy for my child. Definitely would return to him and highly recommend him to others. Aa for the girls that work the front desk and check you in? I wouldn't say they are warm and friendly, but get the job done, so be prepared if you're expecting something else. And Doctor Dahl is warm and kind, don't let first impressions of the gatekeepers make you expect otherwise from him. ;)

Bob Duh

We've been taking our son here since he was born and have had nothing but wonderful service. Someone claiming racism in her review urged me to write mine. This place treats everyone politely from my experience and to say you received poor treatment because you're Hispanic is not appropriate. More than half the staff is HISPANIC! Wonderful place and we love our Doctor! Keep it up!

I wish I could leave no stars!!!!! I went in because I have slipped or bulging (Can't remember which) disks in my neck and sciatica in my lower back from a car accident a year ago. I wanted something to help with the pain, and to see if it seemed to be getting better or worse. Side note, I also hava form of muscular atrophy and I was wanting to be seen for that as well. So I saw Dr. Vogt. First, she didn't know a thing about my condition, and she didn't look it up or really ask about it when I was trying to explain it, like other doctors I've seen in the past have done. Second, she was rude, talking to me like I didn't know what I was talking about. She learned I have anxiety and literally told me to see her PT to see if I was really in pain or if it was in my head. Then she told me to speak to a social worker, and tried to put me on anti-depressants and birth control! I tried to explain that I really was in pain to the social worker, who was equally incompetent and was more focused on her pregnancy then me. Then I got a flyer for a suicide helpline even though I told them I don't have depression and I was just fine! Then Vogt came back in and actually asked me if I have thoughts of wanting to end my life, and said they ask that to everyone. I tried to explain AGAIN that I'm not depressed! Then I had to have an xray, and I wasn't even covered with a vest-thing. Vogt did prescribe me a pain medication, but it's for ARTHRITIS and I can't even take it if it wanted because it's a nero-toxin and would worsen my disease! I am also in pain because Vogt prodded my back and neck in painful and not experienced ways. I am NEVER going back here again. The doctors and staff don't know what they're doing, and they don't listen when you try to explain your problems!

On October 13th I went with a terrible cough that gave me a pain under my chest. I asked Dr Sheffield for a chest xr but he said it wasn't necessary, gave me cough syrup and ibuprofen even when I told him I was taking it and didn't work. To amuse my husband because he used to think Dr Flynn walks on water, I went to him on Dec 1th. Told him the same. I have been coughing for over 5 months, I asked him for an X ray (I thought I had Bronquitis ) but Dr Perfect dismissed me and told me it it was viral and he was going to give me antibiotics just to amuse me (his own words).I started crying because is very frustrating not to be heard, specially when is been over 5 months with this terrible cough and having to use adult diapers. His answer to my crying, send a social worker because I was depressed. Long story short, I went to my family Dr replacement last week (mine retired) that ordered a chest x ray inmediatly and found a 6x6cm mass in my right lung. I started coughing blood the next day and had a biopsy on Saturday. Thanks to the hubris of this doctors, now the cancer is more advanced. Somtimes I wonder if they would had treated me the same way if I was white. It would have made a big difference to find out the tumor 3 months ago when I first went to that place. Stay away from this clinic.

Whenever I have an emergency, I use this place with my children, even with myself, all the time they are very kind and helpful I love the service they offer from reception to the pharmacy

My husband was seen my a provider named Bobbie for a presumed rotator cuff injury. Being a nurse I thought if we went to Urgent Care he may be able to get a few days of pain medication and/or muscle relaxer. We tried here for the first time as it is close to home. She offered flexeril and my husband said he usually has Tramadol as it works. She stated they don’t do tramadol in urgent care as it is a schedule 2 drug. That was a lie. Tramadol is a schedule 4 drug and we felt she was lying to us because she didn’t want to dispense a “pain killer” when it’s not even as strong as Norco or Oxycodone. I feel that since there is an epidemic of drug over use and abuse in Utah, however, those who may actually need just a few days worth suffer because doctors and providers don’t know how to not judge those who are NOT drug seeking and just need a few days worth of help. We will never come to this urgent care again.

Praxedez Vazquez

Always a pleasant and helpful staff. The nurses are caring and very intelligent. My doctor and his training colleagues are amazing. Thank you always for your services.

I wish you could deny giving any stars in order to leave a review. I have never been more disrespected by the front desk, people on the phones, and Dr. Vogt herself. I have no idea what they were upset for, as I literally only had conversations to answer questions or discuss things. It was blatantly rude, so shocking I could barely respond, and it's been probably the last 5 times I've had to communicate. PLEASE PAY ATTENTION TO THE REVIEWS THAT ARE 1 STAR. These people are telling the truth.

Nancy,Daniza and Elizabeth at the front desk are GREAT! they are fast at check in and they make sure my family and i get taken care of! i love coming here.

Emaleigh Winnett

Get an appointment at 12:00 and then 23 minutes later still not in would not recommend to go to in emergency

Morgan Strader

GREAT daytime care. GARBAGE night care. Dr. Gellner is a wonderful pediatrition. She listens to concerns, and is always so helpful. We have been to the Instacare there twice. (Once for an obviously broken arm, and once for an infected spider bite, needing antibiotics.) The nurses were great, but the Dr's act like they have no idea what to do. My ability to Google seems more competen and adequate then the night shift Dr's. I should charge them a co-pay for wasting my time and gas.

By far the sweetest and efficient care I’ve ever experienced at an urgent care. Came here on Memorial Day weekend & they clearly didn’t let that hurt their spirits. Would absolutely recommend this place.

I have always had good service at the Westridge Clinic. I have been going there for over ten years. I also would like to thank the staff for their kindness.

Skippersthename1

Been going here for my primary care for a little over 2 years. Have never had a problem checking in or with any of the doctors that I have seen. The receptionists are always patient and nice when I have trouble relaying what I need to say. Dr. Vogt is great and definitely listens when I talk to her. Even when they were under construction I was always seen on time. Would recommend to anyone who’s looking.

Stephanie Wood

My appointment was an hour and ten minutes ago. I'm still waiting for my exam. Plenty of apologies, but no one is doing anything.

Rocky Chen

Met Jonathan here to treat my daughter, great guy! Nice place ;)

Abiel Macias-Corona

I won't recommend anyone I know to come here . I stopped in because I had a good gash on my knuckle . The dr. looked it once told me to open and close my fist . Then said your going to live stood up and said ointment and a band aid . Took his advice went home . Turns out I did need stitches and to have the wound properly cleaned. Not just ointment and a band aid . But since to much time had gone by I could no longer get stitches I needed. So now I'm a month into a wound that won't close up.

Angela Stone

Nice renovation. Pharmacy is great, lab has a small staff but they manage. We love our primary care doctor!

Sara Brown

If my review were that of only the providers and their MA's, my review would be an "excellent". They have always treated my family very well, and I appreciate them. Where my issues begin and end is with the "receptionists" / "registrars", and the call center staff. The front desk staff all need surgery to remove the sticks that somehow got lodged..... Stale, no personality, no warmth....... Then today I called to make an appointment for my daughter. A young lady named Brittany answered. Stale, whiney, nasal, no empathy (imagine the stereotypical operator voice). I get that there are no appointments available, but is it necessary to act as though it is putting you out to provide the very service you were hired to provide? I only found out today that I can schedule my own appointments online. That;s the route i'm taking from here on out.

Elisabeth Barber

I have always had a good experience with the Dr's and staff. But the staff at the Moran eye center there is very rude and very unhelpful. Trying to get another pair of glasses for my daughter that lost them was impossible. There is no way unless I cover it for myself. She acted like I was trying to scam her. Very upsetting that anyone could treat customers like that. No help. And very very rude.

Raeanne Paige

Love dr park & all his nurses they are great!
