Dr. Jason R. Hoagland, MD: I was referred to Dr. Hoagland via my sister, as he was my niece and nephew’s pediatrician. All three said that they adored him, and as I discussed his skills & qualifications with others, (both colleagues in his field, and parents who use him), everyone attested to his extensive abilities. He has now been my daughter (4 yrs.) and son’s (2 yrs.) pediatric doctor since their birth, and I am completely satisfied with my decision. My children enjoy him immensely, and I am delighted with his humble personality, extensive knowledge, impeccable credentials, wonderful compassion and customer service, as it truly appears he cares for his patients, as well as their families. His staff is also great to work with, they always return my calls in a timely manner and answer any questions I may have. I highly recommend Dr. Hoagland to anyone & everyone who is in need of a fantastic pediatrician. (5 Stars!)

Dr. Hoagland is a very personable, calm, and reasonable doctor. He has kids of his own, which happen to coincide with our 4 kids ages. He is an excellent listener and each of our children (ages 12, 10, 8, 6) have gone to see him for several years, from birth to present. I would highly recommend him for your family.

Dr. Hoagland is akways willing to listen to me, answer questions I have and makes sure I understand the diagnosis or treatment options we have and is willing to discuss possibilities. I never feel like he is rushing to get on to the next patient. He takes the time I need and helps me feel like we are the only people in the world he is focusing on while we are there. This is something I appreciate because it seems like other docs are rushed and trying to squeeze in as many patients as possible in a day, rather than helping each one individually. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Hoagland!

I have been taking my kids to Dr. Hoagland for almost 16 years. My first interaction was when my child was hospitalized for RSV and sent to Primary Children's Hospital. Dr. Hoagland was the on-call pediatrician and checked on our family every day to get an update and make sure we were okay. I consider Dr. Hoagland as a key role in raising our children. We have appreciated his sincere and patience over the years in well checks and when my kids have been sick. Dr. Hoagland respects parents and listens to their personal instincts. He is cute and kind with little kids and as my teens have grown older he still makes them comfortable and shows genuine interest in their lives and activities.

Dr. Hoagland is a great physician. Not only do I have great confidence in his knowledge and ability as a pediatrician, but he truly cares about those he works with. He listens well and always addresses my concerns even if it's something that isn't a big deal. He treats you with respect and has a way of making you feel like a great parent even when you feel like you don't know what you're doing. Last year my baby was born with congenital heart disease and was in the hospital for some time. Dr. Hoagland came to visit us in the hospital and made sure he kept track of how my baby was doing even though he wasn't directly under his care at the time. My kids are comfortable with him and don't mind going to appointments because he makes it fun.

If anyone has a child with special needs, I do NOT recommend this physician. When my daughter with Down syndrome was born, he was more concerned with my husband and I getting genetic testing than getting an echo on my daughter, because children with DS have a very high chance of having heart defects. He also told us that we should adopt or do IVF for more children because our chances of having another with DS was 50%. Which is NOT even close to being true. Any M.D. should understand the basic concept of genetics. He traumatized us with his lack of knowledge. Fortunately we found an amazing pediatrician somewhere else, that actually listens to our concerns. I’m sure he’s great for typical children, though. And he was a very nice man, just not a great doctor for anyone with special needs.

Dr. Hoagland is the best! I swear he has a photogenic memory! Run into him around town - he knows you and your kids. Always goes above and beyond. Our teenage son had to have emergency appendectomy and as he was in surgery & we were in waiting room - Dr. Hoagland walked into the waiting room to see us and reassure us that our son was in good hands. He had happen to see his name while checking in on a new baby! I don’t think there’s many who take the time to do the extras that he does. When anyone asks, I recommend Dr. Hoagland.
