We adore Tanner Clinic! My 2 year old saw Dr.Ellertson today for an eye infection and he was amazing with both my children! My 4 year old felt the need to have her ears checked as well and he was very accommodating and humored her!

I was super happy with him, maybe I'm just sensitive but I did have to question myself if I wanted to continue taking my kids to him. He gave me his cell phone number on my initial visit, super friendly right? He said just in case if I ever ran into any troubles. I work at a Dr office "dental" the Dr always gives his number out to pt just in case they run into any troubles all the time. I thought this was normal. Our dentist is so good about after taking cellphone calls all the time 24/7. We're on call all the time because how admin he is about taking care of patients and calls.My daughter had a dog bite earlier in the week and day 4 it got infected and I called him on his cellphone because it was Saturday and I told him my concerns with the wound and he did mention being on vacation but still answered my concerns. We followed his recommendations and called him back with a question. He was disturbed that I even called him on his cellphone AND how unusual for patients to call him on his cellphone, more then anything that he was on vacation? As a concerned parent I was shocked. I guess I expected her primary physican to answer concerns that the urgent care dr wasnt so clear on. My husband took her in and didnt know how to answer my questions on what else we need to do after starting the antibiotics, so of course mom has to do her job and find out and get chewed out. Anyways I'm just not comfortable going back to him after my scenario. I can appreciate him being honest but not happy about how he reacted. I'm just not going back and hes not wrong to feel that way but neither am I.

I guess it was an off Day for Dr. Ellertson. We were not one of his regular clients but he was on call the day we delivered at the Layton hospital. He came in for a few minutes and didn't have time to do the circumcision. He pretty much didn't want to do it. When my wife was asking a quick question, he cut her off and said he had to get to other patients. Pretty sure he wasn't there for longer than 5 minutes. Then we received a large bill in the mail and called a bunch of times to try and understand the charges and why we couldn't get the typical service. They said they could look at reducing it but every time we called back it was a run around. He literally looked at the test results that we knew were already good and left. Overall I think this box check for a Dr. that is not going to do anything should be done away with. This was our 4th kid and we had a great experience with other post delivery doctors, this one was the exception.

Dr. Ellertson is a fantastic physician and an excellent human being. He cares very much for his patients and their families. Dr. Ellertson will go out of his way to make sure his patients feel as comfortable as possible. Jasmine, his M.A., is excellent as well. She is very fun to get along with, which is important to me.

We have had the hardest time trying to find a good doctor with our first child. Luckily, when I was in the hospital with my second child Dr Ellertson happened to be the pediatrician there, so we decided to give him a try and I am so glad we did! He is amazing! If you are like me and is a new parent or just in general it is a good place to take your child. Being a new parent, this whole experience is new to me so I have alot of questions. The staff is very friendly, understanding, and allows you to ask all the questions that you have. The doctor is good with my son and also sits down with my husband and I and let's us ask him questions and he answers them all. I highly recommend parents go there. They take care of military families as well. I'm in the military and they accept my healthcare for my son.

I brought my kindergartener to a check-up and immunizations catch-up for my 18 mos old daughter with Dr Ellertson yesterday. They were pretty rambunctious and as always he was so cheerful and patient with my kids! I had a question about a little quirk my daughter has and Dr Ellertson was quickly able sift through her symptoms, discuss my concerns, and pinpoint how to proceed. I really appreciate his knowledge and professionalism. Dr Ellertson’s staff were also very kind and professional, as usual!
