The front desk receptionist was horrible. She is suppose to be the face of the clinic and from the moment I arrived she was nasty. I checked in online- waited two hours at home and when I arrived I was yelled at because the online portal was down. I was told that I had to wait another two hours plus! Very unprofessional! While I waited I heard the receptionist yell at more people and clearly was very irritated.

rachel collins

Called ahead to save spot in line and the receptionist never answered, I was on hold for an hour. Went to the clinic and the receptionist wasn't at her desk, she didn't come back for another 20 minutes and then when I talked to her she was extremely rude, she acted like she was super annoyed by us, even though I was kind to her. This isn't the first time this receptionist has treated us this way. Every time we have to go to the instacare she is awful and doesn't answer the phone. Ended up going to the Orem location and they answered immediately and we kind and professional.

Lincoln Selk

So helpful, kind, and considerate. Really wanted to help us as much as possible before they billed us (ended up sending us to the hospital without billing us at all). The muscly doctor with a beard, he was wonderful.

Nathan Garlock

Called ahead to save spot in line and the receptionist never answered, I've been on hold for 25 min. Something in their process of patient care must be broken.

Harrison Thomas

The receptionist is always extremely rude every time we've gone there. She is always very grouchy and short tempered when you have a simple question. You should fire your receptionist. We avoid this instacare now because of her.

If you're feeling really sick or miserable, Just be aware, this place is always so busy that the wait is very long. When I was here sick to my stomach with a cellulitis infection, 45 minutes later, I was ready to get up and walk next door to the ER when I finally got called back. Once in an exam room, I waited for what seemed like another 25 minutes with a sheet wrapped around my waist on the table. The doctor and nurse were great and efficient, and we're very attentive and able to get me much more comfortable after the procedure and get me something for my nausea straight away. The pharmacy next door is also great at getting meds to patients quickly. I was told to come back 2 days later to have the bandages removed and was also told I would get in very quickly because it's a nurse job. Well, not the case. 30 minutes in the waiting room so far. I asked them 3 times if I should call ahead to ensure that I could minimize my wait while taking time out of my workday. The response was no that's not necessary. "They will get you in fast" To sum up, it might be worth while to visit the North Orem Instacare, as it seems like the wait there is 15 minutes vs 45 minutes to 1.5 hours here or I may just need to head into the bathroom and pull the bandages off myself and hope for the best So I can get back to work. Hey if I start bleeding profusely have a problem, the ER is right there I suppose.

Brian C

Very quick care. The doctors were very nice and efficient.

Emily Brown

I checked in online at 12:15. The wait time was 2 hours and said to be here by 1:55. I was here at 1:55 and upon arrival was told my wait would be another 45 minutes. It's now 3:30 and I'm still waiting in the waiting room. Online check in is a joke.

Great place

I went in for a rather embarrassing reason, but I felt like they were so respectful and understanding of the situation. They made me feel comfortable and I knew they were going to get me taken care of no matter what. I appreciate the time that was spent with me. They were able to get me in sooner rather than later. I appreciate them so much!

We frequently use this instacare. I took my mother there recently. They had a new doctor and she did not check my mother correctly and spent very little time with patient. It was obvious that the nurse had more knowledge and more care than the doctor. Their doctor assumed that the little abandage on my mothers toe is an infection and prescribed her antibutic. We told the nurse about bandage but the doctor was there such a short time that we did not get time to tell her. She was thinking the bandage color is the skin color and made a wrong desecion. Everything we asked this doctor she was saying "I don't know". I think they have good doctors too but this time was my bad luck.

Originally tried calling and was on hold for over 15 minutes and no one answered. Finally made appointment online. Also had a set appointment and I didn’t get in until an hour and a half after the scheduled appointment time. They let four other people go ahead when they didn’t have any major issues, all they had were colds. When brought to their attention they didn’t care all that much. If you want to sit in a waiting room feeling horrible for almost two hours it’s the place for you.

You’ve got to get the front desk registrar some trading and she’s never at her desk. I have a lot of kids and had a bad season for sickness and she’s so very rude. And SLOW! Also the whole staff today was women and they were on their phones giggling and gossiping while we waited for the doctor. The one nurse seems that she definitely hated her job. I’ve been here enough to know I’m choosing any other office over this one.

Rebecca Johnson

I have been coming to this facility for several years since it was built. I have always had medical insurance and paid what ever bill left over from what the insurance didn't cover. My husband lost his job in the mineral industry with the down turn a year ago as a geophysist. Therefore, we are unable to purchase medical coverage. Medical insurance for a family is costly close to $1,000 a month. I explained this to the receptionist and asked if we can put some amount down and pay for the rest next week. She said, I'm sure you can find affordable healthcare for you family it's not that expensive." I was absolutely apauld at her patronizing attitude. I walked out. I think when a person working behind the counter needs to show a bit of empathy and respect to others who have sudden misfortunes.

Dan Hill

Calling ahead is pointless. You're told a time to come in. Then you still wait like everyone else anyway. I should have come at 10:30 when I called and dealt with the 90-minute wait. Instead I waited at home for my "appointment time" and arrived to find the wait time had grown to three hours with one person in the waiting room. My appointment wait plus three hours of additional wait while NO ONE else showed to delay my appointment. DO NOT BOTHER WITH A CALL AHEAD. Also, go elsewhere.

Cristina Frary

I went in to the Instacare and saw Dr. Gilbert. She was friendly, but I left very frustrated. I felt like she was more concerned with my blood pressure rather than listening to how sick I felt and that I really was sure this was a sinus infection. Instead, I left with no antibiotics and was told to follow up on my blood pressure. Just to have to call 3 days later and ask for the antibiotics because guess what? It really was a sinus infection and not a cold as I had mentioned in my visit. The staff was friendly, but I wish I was heard--I know my body. I am not a doctor, but I don't rush to the doctor asking for medicine so I don't miss anymore work for no reason. I will go back, but I hope I am heard and understood better.

Alyssa Rosario

Wait time is horrible. Ive been here for 3 hours...

The doctors and nurses were very helpful and caring, the pharmacist was nice, but the red headed women upfront checking people in was one of the most condescending people I've ever had spoken to. She is rude and brought down what I feel about this place. If I see her there if I ever need help I'll be glad to pay extra to go somewhere else.

madison goins

The American Fork instacare was very clean and was very nice. The costumer service was great. We came to the ER and the service was very fast and didn’t take long at all before we saw the doctor. Great service.

The receptionist for Dr Patterson ( who is awesome) was not friendly and doesn't seem happy to be there . I found her unapproachable , we experienced her service twice and on both occasion , I came away thinking she is in the wrong profession . The facilities were clean and all the other staff were great .

Chyna Stuart

Seth McNeill

Julie was the one at the desk. Rather rude and negative. I was able to get the paperwork I needed but kindness goes a long way

Brittany Olson

Completely unhelpful, extremely judgmental, even though we were honest about the reasons for the visit, long wait time.

Butter

The place is the best i had a fun experience becuse they had a lot of things to do like they have free internet and stuff to entertain!

Adam Fisher

I’m not normally a google review kind of guy but with the service they gave me it was warranted. I was in massive amounts of pain the receptionist noticed and seemed to be concerned to get be back fast. Each person I delt with after that was just as helpful and just as eager to get me treated. Going to these places is never fun but when your experience is good like mine was it makes the day better. They got me in treated and out and I’m grateful for that.

Celine Patient

The staff is outstanding, very respectful and kind. Hospital is clean, and welcoming, and Ryan stands out as an amazing nurse in the wound care clinic. We have been treated exceptionally well and would definitely recommend this hospital to all!

Hotflicka .

All the doctors for ENT are amazing! Thank you for helping my little girl.

Alexis Simpson

Great service, very friendly, listened to or t concerns, worked with us to find an in network pharmacy when we were traveling out of state

Adam&Aubrie Weber

Long wait, but friendly

Benjamin Ard

Super slow and inefficient. Not a great experience. Wait time on the board said 45 min when we walked in. It's been over an hour and still haven't seen the doctor. Update: hour and a half and still haven't seen the doctor... Update: two hours to see the doctor.

Jason Diediker

Front desk lady is the rudest person in the world, no compassion whatsoever. I went in there on a Sun with a UTI and my ankle was hurting a lot since I just had 3 plates and 10 screws put in it and I'm 29 weeks pregnant. She announces to the waiting room that I can't be seen there because they won't give me anything for pain and tells me (and everyone else) that no Instacare will help me so I have to go to the ER. The ER costs a million dollars and takes way longer and oh yeah it's for emergencies! I'm seriously sitting there in a wheel chair with a huge cast on my left leg, wrapped and braced right ankle which is sprained and slightly broken and I'm huge due to being 29 weeks pregnant. Does anyone really think I look like a shady character or maybe someone who needs some help?! My husband just wheeled me out crying while she called the next person up before my wheel chair was even out of the way.

This was a while ago but I still avoid this place like the plague! Sat there for over 2 hours because everyone in my family had strep and I wanted to know if I had it too. Several people checked in after me but because they made a fuss about the wait being too long their kids were seen before me. I could understand if I went to the Er and someone having a heart attack came in and was seen first but this is instacare. People should be seen in the order they check in! When I was finally seen the appointment was under 10 minutes and the Dr was in my room for less than 2 minutes (she was only in there to tell me I didn’t have strep and there was nothing she could do.) I don’t understand why they couldn’t have had a nurse swap my throat when I got there if the procedure was that freaking short. Then I get landed with a bill over $100. Seriously? That Dr was not worth $100. I would gladly pay for the test but honestly I should have sent you a bill for wasting my time.

It's 7:50PM and this facility has turned away at least 3 patients and has had the doors locked since around 7:30PM noting that they've seen all of the patients they can this evening. At least two have noted that their posted hours say 8:00PM. I can appreciate staff wanting to leave on-time however if you are open until 8:00PM, you should be accepting patients and have the doors open until 8:00PM regardless of how many patients you have currently. Recommend calling this facility first especially if it's near their "closing" time unless they change their practices. Horrible watching people get turned away in that fashion especially when they did nothing wrong but show up before 8:00PM. Do better IHC Instacare AF.

I'm not a fan of Instacares. I understand they're in a hurry to see many unscheduled patients as quickly as possible. It would be helpful to have these doctors listen to me, and accept my input. Every time I go to an Instacare, I'm treated like a child who knows nothing. Every IHC Instacare I've had to visit could benefit from asking more questions and paying more attention to patients' input and concerns. Today, I'm feeling awful and sitting in Walmart waiting for a prescription that hasn't been received. This particular location will not respond to the pharmacy's phone calls. I asked for a paper prescription and my request was denied. Something needs to change NOW!

horoxix

Extremely quick, friendly, and concerned. I felt listened to and important. Highly recommended.

Good care,

This Instacare is a complete disgrace. Totally incompetent! First off, I am a doctor and my wife is a registered dietician. My wife took my 4 year old son in because he was writhing in pain (stomach) and I was at work treating patients. We have been analyzing this stomach pain over the last 2 weeks, scrutinizing his diet and performing basic/standard tests that screen for common ailments, they all come up negative. Today, he had a major flare up of stomach pain, out of the blue, so we decided it would be best to take him in to get some type of imaging (US or Xray) to rule out a more serious condition. The PA or MD that attended my son refused any imagining or actual diagnostic testing, after doing nothing more than palpating and osciltating his stomach, she said that he probably has a food allergy. My wife explained that we ruled that out early in the process but she didn't listen... They denied any need for further testing and charged my wife $150 for Doing nothing more than waiting for over 1 HOUR and then spending 5 minutes palpating my sons stomach, to ultimately deny any real opportunity to identify what is going on.

Just had my 2nd baby here and things went swimming for us but such a run around and attitude from lab people day we come for tests

Lexus Bliss

This place is horrible save yourself time and DONT GO! Dr Coleman was there and she had the nerve to tell me "you haven't had that many Utis when in all reality I have she didn't have my medical records considering she isn't my family dr she was extremely rude in the way she spoke to us saying well this is all I can do but if you want to go to the er go head. She acted as if she was above all and like she knew my medical history more then me.

Alexander Fetters

Quick and personable. Love this place!

Brianna Chavez

Incredible staff! Everyone was super nice and friendly. Was helped right away.

Daniel Handy

Site says they are open until 8pm, but I was turned away 7:57. They told me to drive another 20 minutes down to Provo. No exceptions. Better not arrive late!!!

Ben Brown

Saw us relatively quick. Only one doctor in, so there was a bit of a wait.

Greg Harding

Eric Johnson

The facility was very nice and the wait was minimal. The bonus was that they have a pharmacy on site and it only took 5 minutes after walking out of the doctor's office to pick up the prescription.

velia dayton

I have had many positive experiences at the AF Instacare. Reasonable wait time. Clean facilities. Helpful front desk. However today was different. Dr. Gilbert was the physician today. She was very unpleasant. She did not want to listen. She had made up her mind; so when I questioned the reasoning for her conclusion (in a non-confrontational way), she became visibly upset. Her voice began to crack, she even began to shake. I have never seen a professional have such an emotional response to what I would consider a calm and reasonable discussion. That said, I would gladly come here again, but only after calling ahead to confirm that Dr. Gilbert will not be in the clinic.

Mallorie Norman

I had a great experience here! I drive out of my way to go to this instacare over others that are close to me because I feel like they do a great job. I also love they are right next to my favorite pharmacy. I looked online at wait times and they consistently had the shortest wait time. I got there and was treated warmly by the receptionist. I had almost no wait going back. I know that isn’t always the case but it was refreshing. The nurse was great and the doctor was phenomenal. I was having some unusual symptoms but they pinpointed it right away. Even though the doctor knew what I had right away he still took time to go over my questions and concerns. They were warm, friendly and helpful to both me and my kids.

Spencer S.

Everything seemed fine until the nurse that took my vitals left. From there I was waiting 15 minutes every time the doctor left. After the doctor said what she that was my issue and started to put the prescription in the computer she said it was not working and needed to use a different computer. She asked what pharmacy I wanted to use and I said the one in the same building. She leaves. 45 minutes later I'm still waiting for her to tell me everything is set and I can leave. 45 minutes. I open the door, find her, and ask if they need anything else. Her response? "Oh sorry, I did not realize you were still here. What type of medical "professional" forgets they have a patient? To top it off she sent the prescription to the wrong pharmacy so I had to wait another 20 minutes to get that sorted out. Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had with any medical office.

Callie Zoolakis

This was our first experience visiting this InstaCare and it went really well. My husband woke up early in the morning with the symptoms of strep so we decided to see a doctor. We arrived a few minutes before they opened to try to avoid a long wait. All the people we worked with were polite, friendly, and easy to work with. Overall it was a good experience and I would come back.

Amy Pate

I was sitting in the examination room waiting for my husband to get back from X-rays, thinking about the possible complications the doctor spoke to use about. When I realize that I can hear the doctor and his staff talking about the family in the room next to me. Loudly. Next thing I know they’re discussing my husband. Let me be clear, they were not discussing medical treatment, they were rude, they were judgemental, and they were loud. They were laying down some pretty harsh judgment on their patients. It was pretty unprofessional and unnerving.

Matt Stiles

Quick, clean, competent. Reserving a spot online worked just fine. The time between check-in and check-out was about 30 minutes. Both the lobby and the exam room looked really nice and didn't have that "sterile" feel. The nurse and the doctor were friendly, listened, and answered all my questions.

Jeffrey Thompson

Worst place ever! 2 people waiting in the lobby and it took me almost an hour to be seen. Had been sick for a week and was starting to get symptoms of a sinus infection. Doctor refused antibiotics and told me I had to wait another week to call back to get antibiotics if I hadn’t gotten better. It’s impossible to get ahold of a nurse. The phone system is so messed up it spits out high pitched tones in your ear the whole time. Have to wait for a call back from the nurse to hopefully get antibiotics to finally get better after 2 weeks. Doctor did give good advice on medicines but the pharmacist gave even better advice. But this only treated symptoms and not the root cause which is the sinus infection. I only went here because it was in my network and regret not going to an out of network urgent care with much better reviews.

kathryn warren

This place was great. Staff was thorough, kind, efficient and helpful. The care was exceptional. I would highly recommend this facility.

We had a place in line reserved through online check-in for 12:56 p.m. The reservation notice said that if we weren't there by fifteen minutes after our designated time, we would lose our place in line. We arrived five minutes early and still waited an hour and fifteen minutes to be seen. There only seemed to be three or four patients in the waiting area. I counted four examination rooms. The staff didn't seem overwhelmed or rushed. They are usually very quick and efficient once a patient is in the room, but I know the ten minutes turn around time for the test results was longer than that. Our entire visit took two hours and fifteen minutes. My first two times at this facility were wonderful. Quick, efficient, friendly, competent service from the entire staff. The last two times, the wait time has gotten progressively longer and now the time in the patient room is getting longer, as well. I really didn't appreciate this as we had reserved a spot in line and had been given a directive to honor that time. If the facility is going to place that kind of demand on their patient's time, they need to respect their patient's time in return. Bottom line.

Such kind and helpful staff. They have helped my little kids multiple times. I appreciate the kindness of the receptionist, nurses, and doctors. This is the instacare we will always go to.

Andrea Mendoza

Amazing staff!! The wait is never long, about 5-10 minutes and very helpful! Everybody is really nice.

John A. Anderson

It’s nice, and the staff is friendly. They have masks for all the sicklies. They are just popular so the wait in the germy waiting room is icky.

presley plotts

Waited forever to finally get in. Once I was in I was there for 10 minutes just to say they didn't really know what's wrong and gave me an antibiotic. Fast forward a couple months I receive a bill I call to pay it. They show nothing is owed I receive another bill they still show nothing owed. I then get a collection notice for this bill where multiple times they told me I didn't owe anything.

Great staff and doctors. They always help us understand what is happening and treatment options.

Bad service in home care and hospice suite 301b... rang the doorbell, no one responded, called and waited on hold forever... dropped prescription off, and equipment was not ready. Staff was unfriendly, I recommend to go somewhere else.

Leslie Forbush

I walked in and waited about 15 minutes. The staff and Doctor were great! Picked up my prescription next door! Thanks guys you are the best!
