Usually i never have a bad experience at this place but yesterday my son saw a different doctor than his usual doctor since he was out. The doctor he saw yesterday was Dr. Laura Gerla she was very rude and felt like she was being judgemental about my son having a speech problem and giving me weird looks! Went in with chronic back and sciatic Nerve pain !! Had all my X-ray from chiropractor. Dr. Pradhan wouldn’t even look at them !! Just told me I had another herniated disc which I know I did bc I already have several !! Was needing something to help me with the pain so I could continue working!! I’m bartender up on my feet in a fast pace bar !! Told him what I’ve tried in the past , that didn’t work!!! He gives me Tylenol with Codeine Which I had a horrible allergic Reaction too. After two days trying to get them to call me in something different!! I was called and told to take Tylenol!! Which I have been and ibuprofen!! That’s why I went to the doctor!! But bc i don’t have insurance I can’t get the surgery I’ve been needing !! I just wanted something that would help with the pain so I could work and do my job!! But I guess bc I’m not a bum ,pill head or dope head I can’t get something to help me get through the day !! I will never go back and will never recommend this place to anyone!! So I spent money I really didn’t have to be told to take over the counter medicine that I’ve been doing already!! I live with chronic pain every day of my life and continue to work and can’t get any help !! Thanks for nothing!!!!!!

Waiting 48 hours for a doctor to get back to you after you've left a message is completely ridiculous. And the on call doctors can't do anything so what is the point of leaving them a message? I found d a doctor there thai really like but everything else about this place is really awful.

This was by far the worst clinic I've ever been to. I showed up with a hurt finger (swollen black and blue) & paid $100 before I ever even saw a doctor, which was a huge mistake. I explained how I hurt my finger, told them I've been resting it and taking Aleve, but that it hasn't gotten any better. The doctor that saw me was zero help. She wasn't able to tell me what was wrong with it , wasn't able to give me an xray, all she was able to do was prescribe me "Aleve" which is an over the counter medicine you can buy at Walmart, told me to wait 14 days and come back. I called back the next day to request a refund, and the lady in charge told me no and hung up in my face. By far the worst medical experience of my life. Such a waste of $100!! And honest doctor would have simply said they couldn't help me and referred me somewhere else!! Please save yourself time and money and DO NOT go here!!!

Staff go above and beyond to make getting care easy. Everything from scheduling appointments to getting lab work done to making sure the insurance company got everything they needed to pay, there were no snags. The doctor was called out of the room as the visit was ending, forcing him to leave in a hurry. He tracked us down as we were walking out of the clinic to ask if he cut our visit short offering to answer any other questions we might have. Had to call the after hours line and got a call back very quickly. Just cannot say enough good.

I have had nothing but pleasant experiences at this clinic. I've used their regular doctors office, the dentist, the blood lab, and the pharmacy. Everyone has been wonderful. The only thing I did not care for is they wouldn't prescribe my usual 3 Xanax to take for my anxiety when i had my tooth pulled. They insisted on the gas, which didn't work so it was a scary and a tragic experience. I will probably not use their dentist again because of this.

We will never come to the Conroe location again during walk-in hours again. After unhelpful and rude receptionist while trying to make an appointment over the phone I took my son to the clinic after office hours. Surprise! Another unhelpful and rude receptionist. Though she looks 18 herself she needed to verify my age before proceeding our check-in because she felt I looked too young. Probably the strangest welcome I've ever gotten. She was very icey and curt from then on, maybe because I was taking her attention away from the guy hanging around bringing her subway... who knows. This is not reassuring encounters when we haven't even met the doctor yet.

Did not like the pharmacy but everything else was super convenient from the doctor's appointment I went straight to the labs and then straight to the pharmacy I just wasn't impressed with a pharmacy customer service or making sure you're aware of certain information pricing or being out of the medications I'll just let you walk off and not let you know that the medication was not included on your insurance if it was out of stock

Lone Star Family Health is an insurance fraud front end. Their staff seem to only speak Spanish and this seems to be because they seem to prefer Illegal immigrants (over white Americans for example). Presumably this is because immigrants are less likely to report them to the authorities or complain about poor service while they operate illegal schemes to double, triple and quadruple bill insurance by requiring patients to come back multiple times in order to get 1 treatment that should have been provided on the 1st appointment. It is clear that they have all these unethical billing and appointment schemes so they can maximize profits rather than provide any care. Beware of this money-making scam. This is the WORST medical "care" we have ever experienced in our lives. If it weren't for the fact that we went to the Emergency Room for normal doctor visits as well as emergencies, I'd be dead right now. Additionally, they have a revolving door of "doctors" (actually Residents) but do not retain the history so you have to start over again every few months and they make you come back (so they can bill insurance again) again and again and again to repeat what you told them before because "that resident is no longer with us so you have to start over again'. Having a staff of all Residents is also part of their profit scheme. Low-paid, slave-like Residents coupled with double, triple, quadruple insurance billing practices maximizes the owner's profitability I am sure. On top of all of that, almost all the permanent staff also seem to be "sponsored" (a.k.a. low paid) immigrant staff as well. Why pay American doctor salaries when you can paid low, low, low salaries to immigrants and Residents so the owner can apparently buy another yacht, another McMansion and take another vacation instead of actually providing care for his literally and figuratively poor patients? Dr. McKernan seems to be perpetually be "away" from the office presumably because he is away on luxury vacations paid for by insurance fraud at the expense of his untreated patients.

Quick sign in and up to date technology. Use tablet to register and pay for the visit which saves manpower at the desk. Never felt rushed visiting with the Drs. They do take time to listen genuinely and honestly. I disliked that I could not get my same Dr each visit. Also just could not gel with the counselor that I saw ( Mr.K). Ditched him. The facility itself is friendly and the lab is right there for convenience.

The staff up front were nice but unfortunately even though I called 3 days later after the appointment to get a Doctor's note to excuse my step daughter from having to participate in PE while she was still recovering from a cough, I was told that the Doctor wanted to reevaluate her for the same problem. My PROBLEM is that the Doctor had stated that the cough would go away with time. I feel like the Doctor should have evaluated her thoroughly the first time and gave more helpful advice to help her recover.

I went one time and spent $75 for them to tell me my son had a blister on his foot when we said we saw something bite him and he.could barely walk she just looked at it no tests. Other than that when we go I love it. Very nice people really clean. But takes forever to get seen. THIS IS ANOTHER THING IM PISSED ABOUT. New modern facility housing lots of healthcare providers. Common areas between offices allow for kids or extended family to wait if provider offices are full. Very clean facility with large parking lot and covered drive thru at entrance and ample parking handicapped near doors.

(Edit: Situation was handled and I did get everything straightened out. It was handled well enough for me to change my review and that's rarely the case. So it's safe to say I take back the below statement.) Receptionists are idiots and don't take their job seriously at all. Doctors are good but I spent 2 hours trying to get an appointment that was never made. If you can go somewhere else, go somewhere else. Receptionists do not care if you're sick, they do not care if you need an appointment, all they care about is a pay check.

I went to this place a couple of time and this was the worse medical facility I have ever been. The Doctors are not professional staff were very rude. Cheap place I paid only $25 out of my pocket insurance covered rest of chargers which was the only good thing. I will not recommend this place to nobody.

Super disappointed with my experience at this location!! I took my 4 month old daughter here last week to get a check up and her shots, and she has been spitting up alot and crying like shes in pain. I voiced my concerns to the doctor and i had barely even finished my sentence before all he told me was to "fine tune her feedings and keep her sitting up for an hour and a half after she eats". What????? So i tried that and of course big surprise not only did nothing work now she is worse. Also when answering my questions the doctor kept saying "well from the articles i read..." as if he was just guessing at what to tell me about my daughter! If i wanted advice from articles i would have just googled it myself!!!!! The doctor obviously did not know what he was doing and my daughter WILL NOT EVER be going back to this location!! I will be making an appointment at the Willis location and if that does not go well i will be switching primary care providers because i am not going to put my daughter's well being in the hands of untrained doctors!!!

I've only used this place a few times for our daughter. The facility appeared to be very clean. Our wait time was not too bad, of course we had an appointment. My major complaint is the people... if they were replaced by robots you wouldn't notice any difference. NO personality, NO friendliness except amongst themselves. I will say that on our last visit & our daughter was brought in for vomiting; as we were leaving & she was heaving in a trash can, ONE nurse rushed over with a square pan & lined it with a bag for our trip home. I wish I could remember her name because everyone that did notice, just stared. So sad to call any of them professional. Please tell EVERY person that works in this building (from the TOP on down, because we know attitude trickles to the bottom) to be more people friendly & smile! THEY SERVICE THE PUBLIC, NOT THEMSELVES!!!

Spent over 500 in wart treatments... Been trying to join the Air Force and I stay in New caney it's hard for me to find rides to conroe and even find the money just for no solution. Dr. Grissom is nice and all but there's something wrong here he's the professional and the warts keep coming back. We've tried freezing and electrocautery one of the scabs fell off and there's still warts underneath. Only option is to try one last time then I'll just have to find a new doctor. I can't keep waiting around like this I have priorities to take care of.

The most absolute WORST place to take anyone you actually care about. The billing department has tried multiple times to charge me for services i did NOT recieve. The operator has more social concerns to take care of on her cell phone. Also do not depend on them to keep up with documents as they seem to REGULARLY disappear......DO NOT TAKE YOUR FAMILY THERE

Edit: After more visits I have changed my rating. Its honestly a toss up between a compassionate nurse practitioner or doctor or a cold one. Took my son last night to after hours and the doctor or nurse practitioner (not sure because they just rushed in and didn't introduce themselves) was very off putting. I try to be polite and reasonable, I understand they have probably had a long day and dealt with people who were probably rude but I am starting to like this place less with every visit. Some of the staff is very kind, proffessional and compassionate but quite a few are not. Who ever we saw last night rushed through the visit in less than 5 mins and was very abrasive. Looking forward to getting our insurance changed so we don't have to come back. Original review: I really like this office because of early and late appts that work well with my schedule. You can often get same day appts as well. They see you on time, haven't had a long wait yet. For the most part staff, nurses and doctors are nice and all of them are very professional. I have met a few that were a little cold but its not their job to be nice just to make sure we're healthy.

Most docs I go through at Conroe Regional are rude as hell! But your resident doc Dr. McNelis....OMG! Compassionate, caring, actually listens. I will be using him again. I never thought I would find a new PCP since mine moved away. He didn't judge me (since I have cerebral palsy but am not in a wheelchair, and am also autistic), and took all my info down carefully. This was only my first appointment! I will be utilizing his services again. Dr. McNelis is a great guy, and fun, too!

Lack of compassion and quality dental care. Had two teeth extracted on a Friday, Complete with drilling of bone and stitched, and was not given antibiotics. Infection and extreme pain had set in by Saturday which required me to go to an emergency dental clinic Sunday morning with pain and foul odor from my gums. X-ray and exam confirmed the infection and Dr. Recommended draining and packing but I took the antibiotic option and waited until Monday to go back to Lone Star. Called Monday morning and told them the extractions were infected and asked to be seen. Didn't mention the urgent care visit because I felt it was their job to identify the issue and fix it. Was in excruciating pain. First the Receptionist practically called me a liar, swearing they had given me antibiotics Friday, then the female dentist calls me and accuses me of smoking. I get the appointment and she keeps talking about did I take the tylenol 3 which has nothing to do with the problem. Says there in no infection yet gives me a prescription for antibiotics when it was obvious there was infection. Even though I said I was in horrible pain she barely looked at the gums, didn't do any steps to rule out that it was infected. Stated there was no swelling yet my face was more swollen three days later and my extractions inflamed. I told her I had taken a day of antibiotics so apparently that miraculously cured the issue, Guess my pain and other diagnosis I received were irrelevant . Bottom line, I was just an inconvenience after the fact and these people are cold and arrogant.

We started going to the dentist here about 4 years ago. I found this place when searching for a dentist that offered discounts for cash pay people who don't have insurance. For us the price of insurance with 5 kids is way beyond what we can afford. Yet at the same time we are right on that borderline where we make too much to qualify for sliding fee or anything like that. Lonestar was a lifesaver when we first found them. They had prices that were much more reasonable than any other dentists we had tried so it was worth the hour drive we had to make to go there. Plus, the staff was great and the facilities were very nice. Unfortunately the place has seriously gone downhill since then. The customer service is terrible now. Trying to make a dental appointment here is almost impossible. You can call 10 times and they won't answer the phone. You leave messages and they won't call you back or if they do it will be several days later. Sometimes you call and they will pickup the phone then put you on hold without even saying anything. You just hear the phone pickup with all the background noise of the office, and bam... your on hold. It was not like that when we first started going here. It's so bad now. Just plain terrible. Then if that isn't bad enough... since we started going here about 4 years ago they have greatly increased the prices from what they used to be for cash pay which was the main reason we started going here in the first place. At this point they are the same price as any other dentist. We have 5 other dentists that are 5 minutes from our home who offer the same prices they do, and are 100 times better to deal with then they are. It's really a shame. I loved this place when we first started going here. It 's really difficult paying dental for 7 people out of pocket and this place was such a blessing at first. Now it seems they have just gotten greedy. If you qualify for the sliding fee or free dental then this place is ok. If you are cash pay or have insurance then I would highly recommend you go somewhere else.

1. the center is clean thats why i give it one star! 2.the receptionist ( Michelle ) on 2/12/18 @ 6pm said no one couldn't see my daughter for symptoms of infection for appendix, I ask why didn't any one tell me that before we drove up then she caught an attitude/rude saying she didn't speak to me, so she didn't even know why they even told me to come up to the after hour clinic. At the same time she was eatting her full meal also was letting others check-in before us, after we arrived & checked, after I ask her she said Oh yea you was here b4 them. 2. The nurses ( monica & crystal) was talking so ghetto & yellin loud.As if they was the doc or as if we couldnt hear them. They Wouldn't even smile as if they was unhappy for being a work. 3. The doctor didn't even do anything was in a rush keep talking over me said nope sorry xray dept closes after 5:00pm. But that my daughter has symptoms of gallbladder going out..to go the E.R, if I want xrays. Wow! This is a joke! Omg they truly don't knw what they are doing!

I’ve been coming to this facility on and off for 8 years. The staff is always so nice and all the doctors I’ve seen here are quick and straight to the point. The visits are only as long as they have to be . I’ve been seen quickly even on busy days.

Always friendly and helpful, especially since they have such a large patient volume. Appointments are generally on time and any email correspondence has always been answered promptly and thoroughly. Doctors have been thorough and take any needed time with you. You can't please everybody and frankly there's a lot out there that aren't ever patient or happy about anything. I think they do a good overall patient process here.

Shocking this facility has a 3.8 star rating at the time of writing this review. If I could give it 0 stars, I would (all 1 stars are probably intended as 0 anyway). Like many others have stated before me, this facility has shoddy & rude service at best (treat you like cattle), a revolving door policy on inexperienced doctors with no retention, so you never see the same doc again (who'd blame them for wanting to run for the hills?), a mgmt that instructs docs to push back on basic personal testing (used to be better in this regard a year ago!!) even during annual physical exams (ridiculous!!). Weird coming from a facility that's publicly funded, even weirder considering that it goes against the overwhelming advice & consensus of the medical community at large. They can never get their lab work right, despite clear cut instructions from the medical staff. Often have to make multiple trips (at their convenience too!) - happened to me thrice. This facility is best avoided like the plague. It wouldn't surprise me if it turned out to be a bogus front involved in all sorts of scams, from insurance & tax payer fraud to God knows what else, that needs to be audited and investigated. An insult even to 3rd world nations and a blight on ours. It survives likely solely due to ACA. I won't ever be going back here. I'd rather pay up out of pocket at a premium and get much better care at Kelsey Seybold in The Woodlands.

Lone Star Family Health Center in Conroe is a wonderful place for folks who can't afford the high prices of normal doctors offices. I went in with really bad teeth. They were so bad that they were literally killing me. I am disabled and do not have dental coverage. Not only were they able to get me help, but they were also able to get me a grant to get all of my teeth pulled. Dr. Barker, Brian Berry, and the rest of the dental staff are wonderful people. They literally saved my life! I don't know what I ever could do to repay them for what they have done for me. They are great people with Caring Hearts that help those less fortunate or who cannot afford to go to a dentist. If not for the staff in the dental office I'm pretty sure I would not be here today writing this post. Thank you Dr. Barker, Brian Berry, the dental assistants, and the rest of the staff at the Conroe location and the Willis location. Thanks to them I now have many more years that I can spend with my grandson watching him grow up. If you do not have funds for normal Health Care all the people at Lone Star Family Health Center are there to help.

I would like to start this review by saying first that we have been using this facility as a primary dr for my child for 2 1/2 years (my daughter is 3). Although she has not been to the office for a visit in almost a year due to not being sick or having insurance at the time. She became sick so of coarse I chose to take her here as this was her Drs office she has been using. Anyways, it was Monday morning when I called to make an appointment and there was no actual appointments available so I went with coming in as I walk in at 1:00 (I just wanted my kid to be seen to get better). When making the phone call I was told the office visit was $75. Okay, a little high but I don’t care. I arrived around 1:30 and was never told there would OR could be a 5+ hour wait. Upon arrival, I was expected to pay the $75 so I did... After waiting for about 2 hours I began to get a bit irritated but I still sat there because I had already paid for one and for two, I still needed my child to be seen. At 4:50 I was called from the waiting area into the office only to wait again for another 15 minutes. So now it’s 5:08pm and my child is FINALLY getting her weight, height and vitals checked... They put us in a room and Dr Vy Phan came in and assessed her (in a rush).. I was concerned about my child’s weight and when I asked this Dr about her thoughts, she began to tell me that YES, she was concerned about my child’s weight but was not discussing that with me because I needed to make another appointment for a well child visit. Are you kidding me? So you’re telling me that you are concerned about a child’s weight but are refusing to give her the care she needs and deserves? At this point I am LIVID. The whole visit with the Dr was rushed and I feel as if she did not care about any of my concerns or my child’s well being. When checking out at the front desk for the culture the dr had sent out I had explained my frustrations to the receptionist (wait time, cost of visit, being rushed, not feeling like the Dr cared) I was told I could have filled out an application that’s income based to get a lower copay. WOW. Okay, so I had 5 hours of waiting in the waiting room and the first receptionist that was there (before this one) NEVER once told me about this. Again, I’m almost In tears with how frustrated I was. I asked for a copy of both receipts, a work note (for me having to miss work) and a document stating the diagnosis and reason for coming in. The new receptionist had told me I had to go back into the office I saw the dr in and get that. So I did... and they were VERY rude and unprofessional. Took another 15 minutes to receive my documents... I also was told that the culture that was sent out would be back by the following day and here we are 2 days later and I’ve heard NOTHING so I called them and was told they didn’t have anything. I am baffled at the unprofessionalism that was administered during the duration of time I was present for this appointment. I will NOT be back here and will NOT recommend these people to anyone again. I’m completely unsatisfied and sadly, my child is the one who has to suffer from this.

I've seen tons of bad reviews of Lone Star clinic, but I personally have had only positive experiences. I've seen both a general practitioner and a dentist and both were able to get me in within a couple days notice.My first visit was to follow up with a general practitioner after being released from the hospital and even though they were prompt I do kind of feel it was a waste of $75 because I only saw an intern to simply told me I needed to find a neurologist which was something I already knew. After that I applied for the sliding scale fee and it was pretty simple to get approved and very useful for those who don't have insurance and can't afford to pay the full cost for an appointment out of pocket. There was also someone there who can assist you in getting approved for medicaid and she was also very helpful. I was very impressed with the dentist, who I saw on a Monday to get my initial x rays and what not. The dentist asked me what was causing me the most trouble and we'd fix that and then I could come back at a later date to get the rest of my work done. I explained to the scheduling desk that I was going out of town for an extended amount of time the next week and I asked if there was any way they could fit me in before then. Though they didn't have any initial appointments, they got the actual dentist to ask if she could squeeze me in that week, and after looking she told them to put me in for the very next day at 4 pm. The work I needed were on my 4 front teeth, so it took a while and she even stayed to 6 pm to complete my work. I've always had a lot of anxiety about going to the dentist and it's one of the things I dread the most, but she made sure I was completely comfortable and gave me laughing gas to help me relax. I think Lone Star clinic is a very helpful place with staff that actually care.

This place is awful !!!! You never see the same Dr twice and they take forever to get you seen. I took my son there for possible strep and he scratched his eye so he needed some eye drops , they didn't do a strep test and disregarded the Effective immediately about his eye. Instead thead the Dr is more concerned with telling me why my son should not be using his phone but should be instead studying more. He doesn't even know my son to say something like that and sent the wrong prescriptions to the pharmacy. I walked out and got straight on the phone to file complaints and change pcp for all the children

Use to be a good place. Seen a doctor for a couple of things on a Saturday, to get told I would only be seen for just 1. That was a 70 dollar visit. So my cold turned into a fever. I had to go back. I told my wife it was a waist of time because the doctors stuck. So I paid 70 dollars again on a Monday for the fever only to receive a doctor's note to stay home from work. Really a waist of time and money. So disappointed. And the doctor has a little bit of a mouth on her.

Nice facility but the staff does not treat you like any type of priority. I went for a visit, they ran my tests and simply told me they couldn’t help me. As a patient, hearing that from someone who is supposed to be there to help you just really hurts. This is not the first time I have went there and been disappointed either. I have been prescribed wrong medication in the past from this office. Wrong dosages of antibiotics as well that caused me to get even more ill.

I am a FTM and I am looking for a doctor that has good attitude. And based on my first visit I know that I will be in good hands. Even my husband agrees with me. This review goes to their billing department. This is a good family clinic unless you are an out-of-pocket patient. Everytime I have visited this clinic I have paid for my service in cash, and they keep trying to charge me for them even though I have submitted my payment documentation. Do not go here if you are planning to pay for your services, go to a private doctor. This clinic steal your money and send you to collections. Billing department staff are also nasty, uneducated and disrepedisres people.

My dental visit with Lone Star Family Health Center was a great experience. The facility is very nice and clean. When I walked in, the staff acknowledged me immediately and attended to my needs. Dr. McQueen was very thorough and ensured I understood why I needed certain things done. She was very knowledgeable and informed me on what I needed to do to get back to proper oral health care. I have never had a dentist take out the time to do this. I would definitely recommend this office to all of my family and friends. It was the best experience I have ever had.

Zero stars, hands down the worst place to come for first time mothers. They don't call you back for anything and you don't get seen by the Drs that are going to be delivering your baby. You get seen by a resident or other nurse. If you are looking for a place that doesn't tell you anything about your pregnancy and sends you on your way to a "follow up apt" which is just the nurse asking if you're okay, and thats it.. then this place is for you. If you are looking for guidance and answers during your pregnancy, I suggest you look elsewhere.

In that time, doctor didn't treat my condition properly, another doctor took 3 patients ahead of me who were walkins even though I had an appointment and had already waited 30 mins past my appoitment time, waited 45 mins for bloodwork, person taking blood fished for a vein after I requested he didn't and he literally coughed all over me without covering his mouth. Decent place to bring ur kids. Some of the drs are not the best in my opinion. If u have real medical issues, I'd recommend maybe going there for a referral but they don't seem to be knowledgeable enough to treat bigger issues. It is a clinic that offers a comprehensive visit and don't get me wrong they aren't horrible, but if it's more than a check up or u need a real diagnosis on a bigger issue then I would go elsewhere. As far as being a good clinic tho, both the Conroe and Willis locations are great. And the dentist inside the Conroe location is excellent in my opinion, but don't count on any effective pain meds being prescribed after. Which isn't horrible, cause they are pretty gentle. And the nitrous gas helps

Worst clinic ever. It's a different doctor everytime. They dont seem to care about your symptoms. They just rush you out with little to no treatment. I took my daughter for a 102° fever she'd had for 3 days. They asked about her symptoms then shrugged it off to allergies. They prescribed us a nasal contestant and said it would be called in right away. 2 days later & the doctor has still not called it in. I understand that this is a learning clinic & the majority of patients are either low income or on Medicaid. But obviously alot of money was spend fir this building and for the "appeal" of a nicely run clinic but its actually a facade. Perhaps if I were to have a self paid insurance than I would recieve better healthcare.

I thought my first medical visit would be a great experience, but was I really "Wrong" in my thinking. I was welcomed and checked in by a wonderful staff, the wait time was short, the "Doctor Very Rude". I was asked what brought me to the clinic, I discussed my issues, and in the end was told she could not assist me because she had spent 20 minutes with me and it was rude of me to ask for a medicine I needed, and walked out the room. She never asked me if my meds that were on file needed to be refilled, as well. If this is how all the doctors are at this location, it is not a place for quality care and needs reporting to the medical board. I was doing my follow-up visit from a previous hospital stay and was coming in seeking answers to my medical concerns, and was filled with questions about my health. If the doctor does not have unconditional positive regards for the patient to address the patient concerns, then just like this doctor did me, there doctor hurts the patient not only medically but emotionally, physically and Spiritual. I do not advise this location if you seek quality care. The doctor even told me it was rude of me to voice my other medical concern pertaining to antibiotics. How rude was the doctor to tell a patient they are rude for discussing 3 medical issues.... And these are the future doctors of tomorrow with negative behaviors that we are to entrust our health to, and see on a continuum...

My husband and I chose this health center because we do not have insurance through our jobs and make too much money to qualify for Medicaid. Pregnancies and the ensuing health care are very expensive and we wanted to have affordable, yet quality, health care. We definitely picked the wrong clinic. It was cheaper than most, yes - but you get what you pay for. There are truly not enough words in the English language to depict the awful quality of service at this facility. The staff do a horrendous job of answering the phone, but once you actually get them on the phone, they are rude and unhelpful. And good luck getting anyone to call you back. I would arrive at all appointments 15-30 minutes early, as requested, and I waited in the waiting room an average of one hour to three hours just to be seen for 10 minutes tops. There were even people that made "walk in" appointments (I know that because I was in earshot when they were MAKING the appointment) and they got seen before I did. Really? This happened several times, but I kept my mouth shut. There was one specific instance in which I had to go to the clinic for a shot only (Rho-Gam, for pregnancy reasons). I was told that it would be a "nurse visit" and that it would take 5 minutes, tops. Well, I went to the clinic, and I was waiting to GET A SHOT for THREE HOURS. Explain that to me. They couldn't . The nurse DID say that the receptionist forgot to tell her that I checked in and that the only reason I was even seen is because she (the nurse) recognized me while I was sitting in the waiting room. Now my son is a patient of theirs (at this point, I have only stayed with them due to the relatively affordable cost - but we are about to change) and we have waited a literal WEEK to get any help with my son's acid reflux. I know they don't care if he suffers from acid in his esophagus, but I care. I was hoping that the clinic's staff might have an upgrade when they moved to their new, beautiful building, but nope. They are still the same rude, indifferent, unhelpful, and unconcerned staff. You may save money going here, but you'll definitely regret your decision in the long run. Most likely, you'll switch Doctor's/clinics anyway, so why bother going here at all? Unless you have Medicaid and absolutely have no other choice, DO NOT give this place your business. It is abhorrent.

Well I left Lonestar during my pregnancy because of how ridiculous it was and didn't ever get call backs. I was not the brightest to assume maybe their pediatric care would be better. They will give you newborn screening results as you walk out the door and you read it when you get home and realize your baby tested abnormal for cistic fibrosis and you were told 3 months after he was born when results are ready in only a couple weeks. I've been waiting for a call back for over a week now. Incompetent and only care about copays and how many patients they can. Squeeze in. Update: no call back still. Tomorrow will mark 2 weeks since the appt they gave me the news. Today we were in the office for a different reason, so I asked the Dr and staff today and no one would give me any info and told me to call up stairs and leave a message. The Dr is last name of Ryder.. she needs to retire. Clearly taking care of her patients and their best interest is no longer important to her anymore.

Although I was seen fast, the doctor sent the prescription electronically to the pharmacy without his name. The pharmacist attempted to call so he could fill the prescription but the after hours Doctor on call does not work in the phone system. Now I'm on my way to the hospital at great expense to get something this MORONIC doctor should have been able to do in his sleep since nothing but the hospital is open!!

Wait times so far, have always been OK. I've never seen an actual experienced & credentialed practicing doctor though. It's always a doctor in a training/residency or other program, no disrespect to them. But essentially this means there is no sustainable doctor-patient relationship. Also, from my visit, I think a vast majority of patients appear to be on the exchanges, under-insured, or uninsured - this is just a simple observation, which in turn affects the quality of health care. The front desk and nursing staff have been courteous. But the lab tech I was assigned was impolite, flat out rude, and inconsiderate. I asked her to please draw blood out of my left hand - she just refused. I then told her the doc also asked for a urine sample in addition to a blood draw (had it circled on the sign in sheet too), she quite simply dismissed it! She just has to be let go. Pathetic!

Absolutely horrible. Wait time for an appointment is about 3 weeks if you’re lucky and okay with seeing a different doctor every time. Not to mention how careless they are with urine samples. I have been waiting over 2 weeks for my results because my urine sample was “lost” the first time. I had to call myself to get the results which just shows how little the doctors actually care about their patients health. I am highly disappointed with the clinic. I also left the clinic with a bruised left arm because the nurse did not take the blood pressure cuff off after I specifically said it was squeezing to tight.

Don't go here! If you have any money at all, go somewhere else. Anywhere else! Pick a doctor at random, and you will do better than coming here. Everyone in the lobby area was nice, helpful, caring. Doctor and nurse were rude, dismissive, uncaring, and not at all helpful or concerned with my health. Finance department lady said things like " Can't you ask your son for money?" Really??!! Doctor made reference to the fact that I wasn't paying full price at least 10 times. Amazing, considering I was on her presence less than 5 minutes. Doctor and nurse never let me finish a sentence. Didn't really care what is going on with me ( like seizures and head injury, or chest pain and difficulty breathing). Made me feel like I was wasting their time. Rushed through everything. I waited 4 hours to see her. Was her last patient in the waiting room. But still, they practically pushed me out of the office. Don't ever go here. And tell your friends and family. This place is an epic fail.

My 18 year old son has been going to see Dr. Emerick for about a year. Before I came to Lone Star, I called and voiced my concerns regarding my son's high dosage of methylphenadate. 144 mg. which Jake has been taking for quite some time. Jake is an adopted grandchild with severe adhd, autism, ptsd and fetal alcohol syndrome. His first diagnosis was at 3. At that time in New Mexico the dr. prescribed concerta. Without his meds at 3, he was violent, breaking 2 of my ribs. Concerta worked great. As years went on the dosage was increased periodically as needed. We moved to Conroe 13 years ago and went to tricounty. Dr. Bogan was Jakes psychiatrist. He is excellent. . When Jake aged out of Tricounty, I was concerned about where to go. Dr. Bogan had warned me that some Dr's might have a hard time with that dosage. Dr. Emerick had his history and a letter from Dr. Bogan regarding his high dosage. All was fine until Emerick went on maternity leave and we were sent to Dr. Pham. Dr. Pham did not want to give him his meds. and refused. She told me to cut him off of half of his meds. Any Dr. should know that my son could get very sick by doing this. I realize that the dosage is above what the fda recommeds. Dr's need to be brave for these mentally ill adults and give them what is working for them. Fight for the mentally ill. In Conroe, when you age out of Tricounty and your meds are perfect, there is nowhere to go. Unbelievable to me that Lone Star didn't care more for my son. How could you treat him for a year and then leave him high and dry.
