This doctor does not like to give out medications that they believe are not needed! So if you are going to get help and not just meds, then this is the place for you. They have all been very good to me and my family's healthcare needs.

I had fallen and sustained trauma to my left side (broke/cracked ribs). If I am going to be honest I was not very happy with my first visit with the Nurse Practitioner. I was very upfront with not wanting any pain medication as I have not had good experiences with them in the past. It was also my attempt to make it clear that I was not looking for "Pain Pills". The Nurse Practitioner seemed very preoccupied and inattentive to my level of discomfort and other ailments. I had also developed some sinus congestion (sneezing) and a mild cough. I simply chalked it up to a busy Friday. I found myself back 7 days later with an upper respiratory infection. I did see Dr. Lerma this visit. He treated more than just the ribs. He gave shots and meds to treat the congestion in my lungs and meds for the coughing/hacking. I very much appreciated Dr. Lerma's attention to all my needs and yes, bed side manner. He is now my Primary Care Physician. Note: I am not a frequent Dr. visitor or reviewer, However, I am compelled to share my thoughts on these two visits. I in no way mean to speak ill of the Nurse Practitioner. I too am a service provider and realize how it can be difficult to be "ON" all the time, especially when dealing with uncooperative people. I was not that person during either visit.

No bedside manner at all!!!!!! This doctor is not worth the time it takes to make an appointment. Dr is dry, uncaring, uninvolved, did not listen or care to listen.

My husband and I both see Dr. Lerma as our primary doctor. I have been in this area for 8 years and went through 2 other doctors who were "suppose" to be great but that wasn't the case. Dr. Lerma was recommended to us and has been excellent in diagnosing our illnesses and is very passionate about his work. It's been a pleasure dealing with a professional, intelligent doctor who actually cares! I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Lerma!

I am outraged. I got hurt on the job about 6 weeks ago. Fell out the back of a moving semi-trailer. Hurt my back, shoulder, wrist and hand. Workers-comp referred me to doctor Lerma office, they sent me to physical therapy for a few weeks for my back and it is fine now. But never did treat my wrist or hand, when I brought it up, she said "Oh, let do some x-rays", My middle finger is bent sideways and three of my finders are numb and painful all the time. Went back today, she said, "The x-rays don't show anything wrong, your hand is fine, give it a few months for the pain to go away." Must of went over his limit with the insurance company. No referral to a hand doctor, no referral to an orthopedic doctor, no referral to a neurologist. Give it a few month it will get better, I am outraged. When I asked the insurance company about seeing another doctor, they said it would be difficult because it is over 30 day since I got hurt. I asked to talk to the doctor, he was at lunch. Never did call me back. I am done with this place.
