Dr. Birchfield makes me feel at ease and he takes his time. He takes the time to explain whats going on and made sure I was comfortable along the way of the procedure. This was the second procedure I have had with him. He called at home to make sure I was doing well both times. I am not a fan of having to have dental work done but with Dr. Birchfield doing my implant, I never had to take any pain medication. Great doctor all the way around...

Dr. Burchfield is an amazing surgeon. I had to get surgery on the inside of my mouth when I was in 6th grade and it went perfectly and painlessly. I am about to get my wisdom teeth taken out with him as well and know it will be just as successful. He explains everything very clearly and makes sure you understand what is going on and why he is doing what he does. He has removed all of my family's wisdom teeth and he is excellent at his job. The only issue I have with Dr. Burchfield is the fact that he and (to a lesser extent) his nurses talk over their younger patients to their parents. Even as an adult (18), they directed almost all of what they said to my mother instead of me. Overall, though, fantastic doctor.

They did I'm amazing job. Everyone there was really nice. They explained everything to me before I had my wisdom teeth pulled out. I was really nervous but Dr. Bruce and his nurses answered all of my questions. I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Review subject to change since we haven't received the treatment yet. This review is solely based off our experience from the referral to the waiting room. We got a very unclear explanation as to if insurance will be covering the wisdom teeth extraction. I understand a lot of that falls on the insurance company, but the provider still offered very little peace of mind. They also don't offer payment plans for the patient portion of charges... other than taking out a medical loan through a third party. This makes if we are talking about the the total billed charges, but not the patient's percentage. Pretty disappointing we were able to break our portion into smaller payments. We had a 9:00 appointment set, and at 10:30 I had to ask for an estimated time in which we would be called back. And they said probably at least another 20 minutes. I understand a 30 minute wait because things happen and the dental/medical field. But a 2 hour wait before even getting called back... that's tough to swallow. I was very polite in the way in which I asked, but that's just an excessive amount of waiting on a day where we are taking off work and trying to plan around this appointment. There wasn't an apology or any empathy toward our wait time. This review may be changed once we actually get called back and get the procedure done. But at the end of the day, this is a very routine procedure, so all the other aspects of the experience play a much larger role in the review.

I highly recommend Dr. Burchfield! I’m still amazed that I had no swelling and minimal pain after getting my wisdom teeth extracted. Besides being a phenomenal surgeon Dr. Burchfield is one of the kindest men you will ever meet. He made me at ease and feel like a life long friend from the time he stepped foot in the room. If you are looking for compassionate, professional, non-judgmental, experts in corrective jaw surgery, then Dr Bruce McLeod and his staff are the only choice. No, I'm not being compensated for this review. LOL However, I do want to help others like me who are searching the internet to find the right establishment for this life changing surgery. So, this is a bit long, but detailed. I suffered from severe Class 2 malocclusion. It was severe enough that growing up it was one of the things that other kids would pick on me for. As a result, I was a woman in her early forties, and no matter how successful I was, I was still very self-conscious of my smile. Aside from the fact that my overbite was causing the back side of my bite to be crooked, in turn causing my teeth to deteriorate, it was certainly hampering my self-confidence. I was finally ready and able to have this corrected. Knowing that it would change my facial features, I wanted to be sure that the right person did the job. After numerous consults with oral surgeons from Cincinnati to Nashville, I made the best choice and put my trust in Dr McLeod. I wanted a surgeon who did this type of surgery on a routine basis, not just once or twice a year. The first step in preparing for the surgery, outside of being in braces, Was the removal of a wisdom tooth. The care, concern, and follow up with just the tooth removal solidified my choice. Dr. McLeod, and his assistant Amy, have not one time made me feel rushed, unimportant, or silly for asking any question. Instead, they have held my hand, both literally and figuratively, through the entire process. From day one I knew exactly what to expect. Even knowing exactly what to expect, there were still moments of panic following the surgery where I thought I had messed something up. Every. Single. Time. When I called, in these moments of panic, they reassured me, but also said if I still felt like I needed to come in they would work me in. Every. Single. Time. I am 3 months post-surgery, and about two months from being completely out of the braces. Even though there are still some orthodontic Finishing Touches, I am 100% sure that I am very pleased with the work and even more pleased with, what I would consider, my new friends.

I just recently went to see Dr. Shea a few days ago... Today is the 3rd day exactly. I had to have 3 teeth removed and they had to pull bone out from above an adjacent tooth. I can't believe how well of a job he did. I have had no swelling or pain... I have barely had to take any Motrin at all. In fact I haven't took any today yet. I have never had such amazing dental work done!

Dr Shea and his staff are extremely competent . I always choose to not have sedation and they make my experience without pain and with gentleness. They tell me everything they are going to do before they do it. Dental procedures are not scary or painful here. I am so glad I found them to do my procedures. They are all very polite and understanding. My wait time to be taken back was less than 10 minutes.

Dr. Shea is very personable and was kind enough to explain details about the surgery and its' necessity to our son beforehand. He also called us personally at home the evening of the surgery to check on his patient. Waited 5 minutes, Dr Dan B. Numbed the tooth and extraction was short & painless. Tooth was packed and given pain Meds for later. No discomfort and bleeding stopped shortly after leaving the office. Did not require any pain meds later. Absolutely painless procedure, thank you Dr B. Couldn't be happier with professionalism & friendly staff of OMSNASHVILLE.

The staff of this office are the nicest in any dental environment I've ever been in. Dr. Burchfield has exceeded my expectations & I would highly recommend him to anyone needing oral surgery.
