I had the worst experience at this walk in clinic that I have ever had at any clinic. I usually go to the Cool Springs location and love it. We see Dr. Thorley there and she is just incredible. We also utilize their walk in clinic and it has always been a great experience. Today, I decided to try the Franklin clinic location as it's closer to our home. I called ahead of time to see how the wait time was and was told it was about 15 minutes at the most. I explained to the woman on the phone that I was sick myself and had two toddlers who were also really sick. I wanted each of us to be seen to make sure we didn't have the flu or strep, but since my little girls were pretty sick and cranky, I didn't want to wait too long some place if possible. Based on what she told me, it would be quick. I arrived thirty minutes later and their were only two women in the waiting room. Within a few minutes both of those women went back. I was optimistic that it would indeed be quick. Then, a full hour passed. The waiting room was EXTREMELY HOT. They need to invest in shades for their front windows and also better furniture. This location is run down compared to the other. My girls were dressed for the 40 degree weather outside and it was at least 80 in that front room, with additional sunlight and heat coming in. Given that all three of us had fevers it was extremely uncomfortable and several other guests were complaining too. They ended up opening the doorway from the waiting room to the back office to make it cooler. While I appreciated that, it didn't help with the temperature in the room much, and it meant that my 1.5 year old was no longer in a confined space. So, after being there so long and being bored, she kept trying to run down the hallway. My girls are usually so well behaved, but after being there for over an hour, sweating and miserable with fevers and very few toys or anything to do, they were melting down. I was so embarrassed and exhausted given that I was sick myself. I asked several times if they could move us to a back room to wait so my babies weren't disturbing other patients but they wouldn't. Many of their staff members were congregating around a back counter, talking, laughing and drinking coffee. There was no sense of urgency and no offer to help, but there were certainly stares every time one of my girls would start to cry AGAIN. I ended up leaving after paying without my girls or I being seen. It had been well over an hour since I arrived and after asking several times how much longer it would be, I wasn't getting any clear answers. By the time I left, it was close to lunch time and my kids needed their naps. So... I now have to wait until later to find another walk in clinic. Hopefully the one I go to next will not be so inefficient. This was an utterly ridiculous experience. I was so disappointed. I would highly recommend the Cool Springs location and practice, but would suggest that you not go to this location. Their customer service was awful and the facilities were run down. Especially if you have little ones, I would avoid this location at all costs. They were not family friendly, understanding or helpful AT ALL. I literally left in tears because I was so frustrated and disappointed with this experience.
