I had cataract surgery on my left eye March 1, 2018 by Dr. Bryan, the Eye Center, at the Palmetto Surgery Center. I had no problems, no difficulties from procedure and could immediately thereafter see better than I had in years in my left eye. I followed the directions regarding drops and dos and don'ts and had no negative effects whatsoever. April 12, 2018 I had surgery on my right eye. Again, I experienced no problems or difficulties from surgery and could immediately see far better than I had in years in my right eye. Again, I followed the directions on drops and dos and don'ts and experienced absolutely no problems whatsoever. I chose the Symfony IOL w/Lensx for both eyes as I explained to Dr. Bryan I wanted to be able to see clearly up close and at distance and definitely without glasses. Dr. Bryan advised me he could not guarantee I would not need the assistance of glasses after surgery for up close reading. I relayed to Dr. Bryan I understood he could not guarantee, but I wanted the best chance possible to have that degree of eyesight and he assured me that lens would provide the greatest chance of success. I was blessed and fortunate to have that level of success. I now have 20/20 vision in both eyes and do not need glasses at all. Upon my first meeting with Dr. Bryan, I found him to be professional, knowledgeable and informative. As I met with him prior to the surgeries, I felt confident he could and would do the surgeries with the least possible complications. Prior to both surgeries, Dr. Bryan did one (1) thing that convinced me I had the best possible doctor performing MY surgery. He prayed - for me and success in the operation, for himself to be given success in performing a positive outcome with surgery and for God's blessing on the procedure. I had peace in knowing that Dr. Bryan, the Surgery Center staff and I had done all that could be done to ensure the best possible outcome each time. I was amazed by the whole process and most thankful. I had excellent results in both eyes and it was, without any doubt, the best decision I could have made regarding my eyesight and my desire to be able to see and live without the aid of glasses.. If there is any question anyone who may have need of eye surgery for cataracts, lenses, etc. Dr. Bryan is the one to choose. He and the Eye Center staff were informative, always readily available to provide answers to my questions, and the staff at the Surgery Center were friendly yet steadfast in their duty to get me ready for surgery. It was a positive and successful experience for me and the right decision for me in my desire to see and live my life without the aid of glasses. Sheryll Norton

However, when it comes to the care of your eyes, fast and quick care does not always seem best. During my cataract surgery Dr. Brian Huff placed the Symfony Lens in my left eye & did LenSx Laser on my right. I went for my follow up appointment this morning and could not believe that I could see every letter on the eye chart! It was amazing and I feel so blessed to have what seems like perfect vision. As Dr. Huff said to me “you have your young eyes back”. Highly recommend both of these options (especially the Symfony). Thank you Dr. Huff for your compassion and care during my surgery.

I had multi-focal lens implants done by Dr. Platt in 2016 and I absolutely love them. No more glasses either for distance or reading. I return once a year for a check-up and find all the staff friendly and Dr. Platt is very caring and answers all my questions. The office is very clean and I have never had a problem making an appointment nor have I had to wait more than 15 minutes to start my examination. I would recommend The Eye Center to anyone looking for well qualified caring doctors.

Dr. Clary was the third optometrist I went to after talking to him I knew this was the doctor I was going to trust with my eyesight. He was very helpful in helping me decide what procedure would help me most and help me obtain my goals. He explained the pros and cons of each procedure. He took the time to explain what each procedure would entail and what results I could expect. The day of the procedure he asked to pray over me, that assured me I was in great hands. The procedure went great and for the first time in 30 years I could enjoy life without the bother of contacts or glasses. I took my kids to Carowinds and we rode the water rides and for the first time in three decades I could ride without the water getting behind my contacts and causing me pain. I Would and have recommended Dr. Clary to anyone needing a great caring optometrist

Surgery was a cakewalk; no discomfort ever, and I can see better than I ever have in my life. I am 70 and without glasses for the first time, and cataracts gone. Would do it again in a heartbeat.

For somebody who did wear glasses since I was a young man I never dreamed that there was a procedure that could get me to as good or better vision than my glasses. I was wrong and Dr Clary and his staff proved it to me. The lazer procedure that I had not only has me out of corrective lenses but only 4 days after I fill like I already am seeing better. I just took it easy the last few days and took a nap here and there and will be back at work tomorrow. Thank you and your staff for your kindness and for the great care you all showed me.. I’m 39 now and don’t have to put on glasses to get out of bed or to watch a movie or to just live life. God bless you and your staff. Thank you Eye Center.
