At the initial evaluation appointment for my mother, I was impressed by the kindness, empathy, professionalism, and gentleness with which Dr. Schmechel treated my mother. She felt at ease with him during an appointment that had the potential to be anxiety producing.

He's a reasonably good neurologist who tries to get to causes and treatments. However if something serious arises between appointments, it's impossible to get in to see him.
