Having worked in the hospital for 21 years I kinda knew the examination routine which I found laking on both visits. On chk out I specifically told the clerk 2 times not to charge to my insurance because it was a accident in a store and a they were responsible for the bill. She just have had cotton in her ears. She checked the insurance box instead of the self pay. Now it's taken me 3 weeks to get an itemized bill. I changed my HMO over a year ago. Roper is still billing my old HMO. My medical history that Roper keeps on me was so wrong if they followed it on my unconscious body I'd croak.

the worst experience ever in any doctor office my wife and i waited over 2 hour and after they take us to the room the nurse was very rude and we waited over one hour and we just give up and leave without seing a doctor i will never ever go to this place pluse the temperature was very hot inside

Dr. Wyatt is amazing. She is very knowledgeable and listens to the patient. I have been sick for a while with a common cold and she listened to my concerns and treated me as such. The MA Dieadra was very pleasant and welcomed with a smile. She was very knowledgeable as well and listened to my concerns about me being sick for a while. She explained their processes and told me what all I should expect. I was in and out under an hour and felt as if I got great healthcare attention.

I had symptoms of a heart attack, turns out it was a stomach virus with trapped gas causing really bad chest pain. I had fast and friendly service from the staff. They took very good care of me.

I had to wait over an hour for my toddler to be seen, but it was worth it in my opinion. I understand how crazy doctors offices can be and its not usually the staff's fault. The staff was so nice and patient with my 4 children and their childish behavior (waiting awhile can wear on them so at any doctor visit so I bring entertainment just in case). Another after-hours office wasn't as patient with my children. Almost all of the staff here were from my other regular doctors' offices, including my pediatrician's nurse! I felt very comfortable here because of that. The doctor was so sweet with my girl and I really liked her. I definitely recommend this place.

Dr Frizelle clearly does not put her patient's needs first. She showed me her lack of caring by not even trying to understand my medical needs, which would have taken just five minutes. I felt that she was judgemental and had her PA come in to do 'training' on me before she gave me less than five minutes. I have fired her as my Primary Care physician, after my previous had closed his doors. Now I'm searching again, so if anyone has a recommendation for an old Citadel grad....

I was on travel to Charleston and had an issue arise in a delicate location. The clinic was open well before their scheduled time. The front office staff was very friendly and professional. They asked me what my issue was and were very professional and comforting when I answered "a delicate location". The doctor had a great bedside manor and his demeanor helped me maintain my dignity during the examination. I might have waited for 15 minutes max in the lobby and less than 5 minutes in the examination room. The nurse was friendly and comforting as well. I would absolutely recommend this location for anyone with an immediate need of care during off hours for normal practices or for those on travel in the area without access to their regular physician.

Went in with significant pain in my abdomen, had extensive tests done and told I would hear back the following day. Three days later I followed up only to find the person who was responsible for communicating with me had gone home for the day and never scheduled the referral, provided me my lab results, or anything else. Pretty disappointing as I've had positive experiences with Roper in the past.

Internet says open until 9pm, posted ours on the door says 8pm. Got here with 6min to spare and the doors are locked. it's now 7:56 and the lights are off and they are leaving!

Dr. Frizelle is patient and very attentive to my needs. I NEVER feel rushed at any of my appointments. The only issue I had was with my insurance that could've been avoided had the intake person listened. However that has been resolved by a more diligent intake person who did listen and made the necessary corrections. I started as an urgent care client and was referred to Dr Frizelle. Best decision ever.

Wow... went for after-hours care for a sore throat. It's now 6 days later, and the throat culture they took still does not have results. That's absurd. After four phone calls (3 of which went unreturned), they say it's because of the Roper backlog of labs and that it'll take 7-10 working days. Well, I hope I'm not dying! And, the doctor won't talk to me over the phone. I would have to come back in to discuss anything further. Why would I ever go back to see them? So, they can run more tests, send them off to sit in a stack at their lab for several days, and I can wait around with no diagnosis. No thanks. I'll use Nason next time. Update: Went through "corporate" Roper St. Francis to dispute the bill for the services that were really never delivered. They said they'd have the office manager call me. That was over a week ago. Still waiting. And still don't have my test results. Good news is that my condition wasn't fatal.

Great hospitality, Beautiful smiles, Expert professional nurses and doctors, One visit problem was solved, Highly recommended, Definitely I'll go back there in any emergency situation. I hope for the people who had a bad experience with this place to give it one more chance, I'm sure you will be satisfied.

I was a walk-in at Roper St. Francis Express Care because my primary physician's office could not take me that day. I had been dealing with a cold for over a week and had developed a bad cough and needed medical attention so that I could return to work. I arrived at 9:15am and signed in. At that time there were 3 other people in the waiting area. I waited for over an hour until I was called back and watched several people who arrived after me go back before me. The receptionist was very kind and apologized that they were not calling my name. However, when the nurse called me back I was given no apology or explanation as to why I waited so long. I waited an additional 30 minutes for the doctor to see me (again, no apology for the delay) only to be given a prescription for cough medicine that I ultimately could not get filled because the local pharmacies did not have it. I wasted a $30 co-pay and 2 hours of my day off for no real medical attention. Two days later I was no better and had to spend another $30 co-pay for my primary doctor to see me. It was a waste of time and my money and I will never return to this practice.

Sat in the crowded waiting room with my daughter suffering from nausea and diarrhea. Waited over an hour and a half despite the fact that she was ill the entire time. When she ran out of bags to throw up in, they at least gave her more. After all that, they sent us to the emergency room. I suspect that whole waiting room will be back tomorrow with whatever my daughter has ☹️

Good experience. My toddler and i were walkins with the stomach flu. the wait time felt appropriate. the staff were all very nice and helpful. they obviously dont have many childern as patients but i felt the dr was thorough with my toddler.

I was hesitant to go to this location after reading some of the reviews. I am glad I went. My experience was excellent from start to finish. The registration representative was very friendly and quick. I was called back within 5 min. The PCT who took my vitals was also very friendly. I then waited approx 5 more min for the NP to come in the room. Very nice and approachable person, took his time reading my chart and asking questions and answering my questions. Overall, a great experience.

Prepare to wait ages, only to get a doctor who's clearly got higher priorities. To make a long story short, I took my sick toddler here and waited 2 hours before demanding a doctor immediately. Finally got a doctor who was completely unprepared. He hadn't even glanced at the nurses notes. He may have touched him once, to check his ears, and then refused to give him antibiotics. I had to insist, repeatedly, that I was not wasting literally hours and money to leave with nothing. He finally relented, and guess what, the antibiotics helped. It was so bad I even contacted the corporate office, and several executive members separately about the incident. Their response was less than stellar. Don't waste your time here.
