Yesterday I rate my visit as a two. I came in for blood work and got there early. I was seen in no time at all. When I came in I asked receptionist to please contact Dr. McKay's nurse(Kimberly) to let her know I needed a refill on my pain medication. This medication requires a "hard copy" RX and can not be called in. I waited in the waiting room until 11:15am. I was waiting 2 hours without any report from anyone telling me to maybe go home and they would call me. I work night shift from9:30PM-7AM so I had been up a long time and I needed to get home and get some sleep so I could work that night. I have been going here for many years and I just love Dr. McKay, but this was wrong to leave me sitting there with no acknowledgment from anyone. I have Sciatica and two knees that are rubbing bone on bone, so I do have significant pain and Dr. McKay told me I can't take Ibuprofen any more or any NSAIDS, so the only alternative is Hydrocodone and Acetaminophen, a class 2 control drug. I really guess I need to find a doctors office closer to where I live or figure out what to do about the poor communication at my present doctors office.

It is in a great location and has a large parking lot. The building itself is very large and they get to everyone in a timely manner. I see Dr. McKay as my primary care physician. He's a great doctor. They are usually accepting new patients so certainly something to look into if you need a new (family) doctor.

I can almost repeat Larry's review verbatim. Excellent practice, Dr. Callis Wolf is my primary care physician for the past few years since moving to Ballentine and she is great. I'm a busy IT professional and don't have time for the doctor I use to see who would give me prescription Tylenol for almost anything and tell me to come back if it's still bothering me. I have Tylenol at home and wouldn't take off work for a doctor's appointment if that solved my problem. Dr. Callis Wolf pays much more attention when I'm explaining my reason for visiting. I also reiterate Larry's sentiment on Press 1 for English... not necessarily anything against this practice... but as a sentiment of life in America in general. {ok, off my soapbox now} :)

I have called them and left two messages regarding my prescription refill and they have failed to respond to me over a four day period. I don't have a problem with the doctors, but the front end office management is absolutely terrible at communication.

As a patient the service is always friendly and efficient. As a business owner opening a new pharmacy one of the nurses was extremely helpful in getting all the pharmacy information loaded into their system to send prescriptions. She followed up and had everything taken care of in the same day! Highly recommended.
