I've been taking my Children to Florence Pediatric Dentistry since they opened and my kids were seeing Dr. Elvington even before that. There isn't another dentist I would rather take my children to. They are patient and kind. They really worked with my 3 year old to make him comfortable. He was reluctant at first but he let them clean, floss and exam his teeth without crying. Ialso rake my other two kinds there.This dentist and the entire staff is amazing. The kids look forward to there next appointment.

Florence Pediatric Dentistry blew me away! Dr. Elvington and staff are so professional, friendly and were amazing with my daughter! The waiting room is incredible, lots of activities for children of all ages and very clean as well. I would highly recommend to anyone! Edit: Went for a follow up visit with both of my children and was attended to promptly and was in and out of the office, both children examined, etc. in 40 minutes!

This was my daughter Sarah's first dentist appt.! So imagine her anxiety. When we arrive the front desk receptionist was very helpful. Although we were late she made sure that we had an appt. to see the dentist. When my daughter went in she was very upset and scared but Ms. Tina did an outstanding job with calming her down!!! She was very patient and caring. Dr. Kimberly was very knowledgeable and caring as well. They had a very special place call the quite room to help calm her down. At the end she was excited and can't wait to go back in six months. I searched for the best place for the dental care for my daughter and I believe I have found it in this facility. The entire experince was wonderful from beginning to the end. Everying was catered to childern and the staff seemed to enjoy their job. I am so glad to have found Dr. Kimberly!!! I truly can't say enough!! Amazing!!!

I was very impressed with how well this dentist office caters to young children. The lobby waiting room was filled with lots of toys and play sets, plus an age-appropriate video was playing on a large screen TV overhead. The murals on the walls, along with the fun stuffed animals hung from the equipment, made this seem less like a dentist office and more like a wonderland. There was even a TV screen mounted to the ceiling of the examination room to distract little ones from any fear associated with a dental checkup. The hygienists and Dr. Elvington all worked very well with my daughter for her first dental checkup and always were sure not to push my daughter to do anything she wasn't comfortable with. My daughter had a wonderful experience, so I know she will look forward to her next visit! (Not many of us can say that!) Thanks, FPD!

This is the best pediatric dentist in the Pee Dee region! The staff is warm and inviting, and the doctor takes great care to make sure everyone is informed about what procedures are needed, if any, and she will answer any question. Whether it's the beautiful murals and play area in the waiting room, the tvs mounted on the ceiling above the denstist chairs, or the prize counter for cavity free celebration shopping, this practice has all of the kid friendly bells and whistles to make it the perfect place for children to build a positive experience with dental care. As a parent, when my children are excited to go to the dentist then I am excited, too. I would highly recommend them to anyone with young children or parents of children who have anxiety about dentists.

My son has been coming here since he was 1 1/2 (and every 6 months since then). The staff always goes out of their way to make my son feel comfortable and secure! He is now 3, and is able to get his teeth cleaned and x rays taken with no hiccups along the way! Plus, the waiting room is basically like a giant play room. I have a 1 year old that will be going for his next appointment in a few weeks, and I know we will have a great experience (eventually, ha!) :)

Dr. Elvington and her staff are so patient, so kind and so caring. Both of my children go to FPD and although my son hasn't gotten comfortable enough to let them do alot (he's 3 yrs old) he is certainly taken care of and is dealt with in a very kind and compassionate way. No one ever has that look of frustration. My daughter seems to love going to FPD. She is treated like a queen. I'm so thankful for Dr Elvington and her staff.

The waiting room is very kid-friendly. They have many toys for the kids to choose from and they also play a movie on a large TV so kids won't get restless while they wait. The staff is very friendly and Dr. Elvington is very thorough and kind. Our daughter was scared to go to our regular dentist so our hygienist recommended this dental office since it is specifically for children and it worked out wonderfully. They really take their time so expect an appointment to last 30 minutes to an hour depending on how busy they are. I highly recommend this dental office.

This office has the worst customer service ever!! My nephew is spending the summer with me, and he started having severe pain around his molar area. When I called Florence Pediatric Dentistry to set up an emergency visit the office manager Brice answered letting me know that Dr. Elvington could see him if I came in right away, but because I was not the legal guardian they would not perform any service on him, just a checkup. I discussed this matter with his mom, and called back to let the office know I was on my way, I was told by Donna that the office manager would have to call me back. I told her this was an emergency, and I was just told by the office manager that Dr. Elvington would perform a checkup on my nephew, she still suggested I speak to the office manager. I then went to Bright Star Dental who saw my nephew right away, and they received a faxed consent from his mom so that they would be able to treat my nephew thoroughly. Florence Pediatric Dentistry should not even be in business if they can not accommodate children that do not live in Florence who have emergencies. I would not recommend this place at all!!!!

My son had his first dental appointment there today. Since he is only 2 and half, I was nervous as to how the appointment would go. There was plenty to keep him entertained during the wait. The staff was very nice from check in and check out. There was no long wait once back in the room. Everything moved quickly and smoothly and was a great first experience with the dentist! I would highly recommend this dentist to other moms of young children.

My son had six permanent teeth chipped in a soccer tournament over the weekend. FPD was quick to see him for a consultation and had us scheduled for repairs almost immediately. My son had a pain free repair experience and his teeth look better than new. My other three children were thrilled to play with all the cool toys in the waiting room while we waited. I would highly recommend!!!

The office is really clean. The waiting room is one of the best waiting rooms I have ever been in, it is very kid friendly. This was my son's first trip to the dentist and it was awesome. They took the time to explain everything that they were doing and all of the instruments they would be using and let him pick a movie to watch on the ceiling while he was having his teeth cleaned. Would definitely recommend this practice to anyone. He had so much fun and is excited to go back. I couldn't have asked for a better experience!

Wonderful environment for children to make them feel comfortable and at home as soon as you walk in the door. Very friendly staff. I believe our hygienist's name is Rebekah and she is wonderful with my 5 year old son. Makes him feel comfortable and at ease with something that can be scary. Helps him understand what she is going to do and calms his fears with her sweet demeanor. Dr. Elvington is wonderful as well!

This was my 2.5 year olds first dental appt. I just knew people throughout the office would hear him screaming and crying but he did SO GOOD and the staff were all very pleasant! The waiting room was clean, as were the toys. The hygienist did absolutely fantastic with my son and the doctor was friendly and full of helpful advice. They were patient and kind and I couldn’t have asked for anything more. As a matter of fact, my son was screaming and crying as we left because he didn’t want to leave!

I took my grandson to Florence Pediatric Dentistry today for the first time (not his first visit, but it was my first). I was confused when my 4 year old grandson was excited about going to the dentist (my children certainly were not at that age). Within seconds of entering the lobby I started understand. I was delighted with the interactive toys in the lobby and the murals on the walls. All the technology and the super friendly staff were amazing. I’m thankful for Dr Elvington and her staff for taking such good care of my grandson.

My child's first trip to the dentist was a MAGICAL experience. Immediately, kids are at ease in a large waiting area with lots of imaginative toys and a huge TV. There's a special 'kids only' door (which is kid-sized), stuffed animals hugging all of the office equipment, and TVs on the ceiling in the exam rooms. The dental hygienist handled my 2-year-old excellently - it was a very easy experience for him; he wasn't uncomfortable in the least! Dr. Kim was super sweet and clearly explained what was going on in his little mouth. He received a 'No Cavities' ticket and got to pick out a prize from a display case when we checked out. People working there clearly loved doing their job and made us feel so welcomed. If only grown-up doctor offices could be so magical. :)
