Dr. Clary was so amazing! I went to get LASIK over the summer and was on a time crunch before vacation. They set up an appointment immediately. Dr. Clary was very clear on how my surgery was going to go and answered all of my questions clearly. My vision is now at 20/20 and I couldn't be more thankful! I would definitely recommend Dr. Clary for LASIK eye surgery.

Dr. Matt Clary is the kindest and the most caring physician of any type that I have ever known. The lady that wrote the negative review must have had a bad reaction to the mild anesthesia she was given to relax her during surgery. Ask any other patient of his, and I guarantee they will agree with me. He is mild mannered, outgoing, and an absolutely fabulous ophthalmologist. I would recommend him to anyone and WILL to anyone in need of a wonderful caring physician who is one of the best in his field. I promise you if you go to him, you will be glad you did.

Five weeks ago I had lasik surgery performed by Dr. Clary and my vision has never been better. It was truly one of the best decisions that I have made medically. After wearing glasses for 14 years and 4 previous eye surgeries (unrelated to my poor vision), I was pretty apprehensive about the lasik procedure. I know people always say they don't like their eyes being messed with, but really ... I freak out and automatically clinch my eyes when anyone comes close. Due to that, I was concerned that I would not be eligible to be a candidate for lasik. Despite my hesitations, overload of questions and being a difficult patient, Dr. Clary said that I was a great candidate. The entire team (Dr. Clary, Dr. Huff, Dr. Platt, Mrs. Kim) made me feel so comfortable and excited to have the procedure. Everyone who I interacted with made my experience there so personable and helped me relax. There is no other office that I would have trusted. All of my concerns were patiently listened to and I felt cared about as Dr. Clary and Mrs. Kim took the time to make sure that I was fully comfortable and at ease. If you are considering lasik, I full heartily and highly recommend The Eye Center!

Dr. Matthew Clary is absolutely by far the nicest and most respectful ophthalmologist I've ever been a patient with....I've been his patient since he began working at THE EYE CENTER. He's always such a pleasure to see and has THE BEST bedside manner- which is something very important to me as a patient. Dr. Clary without a doubt is the GREATEST ophthalmologist in Columbia. He's someone who genuinely cares about you- not only as his patient, but as a person he wants to help maintain the very best care of your vision and the health of your eyes. Called last week to take my mom in for an emergency work in since she suddenly lost vision in both eyes. Hard to drive yourself if you can't see. I so appreciate how quickly we were given an appointment. The nurse was so concerned about Mom's eyes that she went and grabbed Dr. Clary out of another exam room. We felt like the most important people there, even though it was packed because the entire staff gave the impression that they were going to get this right. And the good news is: Everything is now back to normal. Plus, we found out Mom has a cataract-not ready for surgery yet though. Hats off to Dr. Clary and the entire Eye Center team for the care, concern, and treatment. I would recommend them to anyone in need of compassionate care.

Dr. Clary was recommended to me by my primary eye doctor. He did a great job with my laser eye surgery and I can now see perfectly without contacts. My only complaint is that during my entire procedure, Dr. Clary spoke VERY adamantly to me about his religion. Laying under a laser with my eye pinned open, feeling super anxious...was not a great time to discuss Dr. Clary's religious beliefs. I felt like it was disrespectful to me and my personal beliefs. Inappropriate for the medical field. I also work in health care and would NEVER speak like this to my patients.

Dr. Clary has been my eye doctor for 7 years. Every time that I have been to his office it has been a pleasant experience. He is always friendly and greets me with a smile. It is obvious that he puts patient care first. He performed my laser eye surgery and I was so excited about the results that I now recommend the surgery to anyone with glasses. Dr. Clary even offered to pray with me before the surgery. I was so nervous and this much-needed prayer was just what I needed to be at ease before the surgery. I would never want to go to another eye doctor and I would recommend Dr. Clary to everyone.

Wow...what a wonderful experience. I recently had cataract surgery and was very nervous. Dr. Clary's staff and himself answered my questions and explained the procedure to help me feel confident and at ease. Before surgery, Dr. Clary asked if he could pray with me. His belief and trust in the Lord was reassuring The second cataract surgery was performed a week later after we had prayer.It went just as smoothly. I can already read with out glasses or contacts. Thank you Dr Clary,your office staff and the staff at The Surgery Center for making this experience as painless as possible. The after care has been superb. All instructions were explained thoroughly.These are people that truly care about you and your eyesight.

Dr. Clary performed cataract surgery on my grandmother and my cousin and they both had GREAT results. He was very professional. My grandmother absolutely LOVES him as a doctor and as a person. She told me that she never thought she could see so well, without glasses.

Dr Clary is rude, disrespectful and has no idea as to what “Bedside Manner” is. There are great ophthalmologist in the Columbia area. Do yourself a favor and pay your money to someone who actually cares about you as a person/patient.

Dr. Matt Clary was recommended to me by a doctor in Columbia. He assured me that he was among the best. I took that recommendation and made an appointment. Dr. Clary performed cataract surgery on my eyes. His skills as an eye surgeon were excellent. His bedside manner made this senior adult feel secure and comfortable that I was in very good hands. His caring for your comfort and well being were evident in all he said and did. I never felt rushed or ignored in any way. In fact, he made me feel like a special patient. Since then I have heard many senior adults express this same feeling. They all say, "He really cares." You cannot beat that!
