I will NEVER return to Doctors Care. I went into Doctors Care becuase I had a rash on my face that I was concerned about. After 10 seconds of looking at it she asked if I had been using any new products I said NO and she still said that it was an allergic reaction to a new product. I asked if she thought it could be anything else because I don't have sensitive skin but she stuck with her original answer and said NO it was an allergic reaction. So she wrote me a prescription for a steroid cream. The entire process took about 5 min and cost me 30 dollars. When I got home I contacted my Dermatologist because I was not comfortable with her quick diagnosis. Thankful my Dermatologist took more than 5 minutes and told me that it was Infantigo which is a highly contagious, fast spreading type of staph infection and the prescription she wrote for me would have not only done nothing but would have made it WORSE. Seeing as I am also the mother of a one year old I do not appreciate the fact that if I would have listened to Doctors Care I could have potentially infected my daughter with staph which can be VERY serious in toddlers because their immune systems are not matured. Doctors Care is a cheap practice and a perfect example of you get what you pay for.

Not Impressed. I have been here several times, the last time was my last. I had a cyst that needed attention. They said they was going to refer me out to a specialist. I call the specialist to confirm my appointment and they said I don't have one since they are not in my Network. No big deal, I call Drs Care and they say they will find someone and call me back. They don't. I call again, they don't. Then they call me for a survey and I explain I still have not gotten a referral. So with the 3 other Urgent Cares in town, I would refer back to another one again, since they have failed several times at this location.

Doctor's Care is a walk in medical clinic. The perfect place for the common cold, sinus infection, bronchitis sports/work physical and other non-critical ailments. They have extended hours on weekends and in the evenings. The staff was friendly and it was a short wait.

They need to fix their online check in system, so people will actually be seen on time and not check in and still wait an hour because the staff doesn't know how to manage the system. Also please train your front staff, waited a good 45 mins on the receptionist to give me a price for what I needed done. That should be something they can look up easy and not make people wait that long. Needless to say I left after wasting my time. Won't be back and definitely won't recommend.

I've been here before several times over the years ,next best thing to an ER ,no long wait to see a DOCTOR,,I go back because you are treated with respect and trust. I've never had a bad experience..you should give them a chance,I don't think you will be dissapointed.matter of fact I'm going back today.

Best to pay the extra for after hours or the wait is long. Never good when your cranky and not feeling well. The doctor I have seen has no patience for questions. I felt like the receptionist really didn't want to be there, I would be more than thrilled to have a job. But unfortunately I am disabled. Wish they had to take a seminar on common courtesy and learn to smile. Will I go back? Why? It is very close to my home. Wish I had a closer choice? Most definitely! Wish nurses would return calls? You bet!

I like others on this review board am concerned that Doctor's Care is committing insurance fraud. My insurance carrier was billed three times for one office visit, with each bill being changed by $10.00. I was told that they had incorrectly coded the office visit and there were sending me to collections for nonpayment. I paid the balance in full during my visit and provided receipt of payment. I definitely will not return to Doctor's Care.

I decided to come here instead if emergency room to get my foot checked after stumping my toe and not being able to walk on it at all. I have a 6 week old son and was desperate for a way to help ease my pain and help me walk. They took x-rays and verified I had a bad fracture. When the PA returned to the room to tell me the plan of action I was told that they do not dispense medical equipment there and that he was giving me a prescription to take to a place that did have a boot and crutches to help. I explained to him that I really needed at least crutches today because I am not able to take care of my newborn as I cannot walk on my foot. He proceeded to suggest that I "walk on my heel" as I have been doing all day. Then he told me he was giving me a prescription for Motrin for pain. Really? Motrin? I told him I could buy that over the counter. He said ok and that there was nothing else he could do for me. The med assistant came in a moment later and handed me the prescription for the boot and crutches and I again expressed to her how upsetting it was that they could not help me any more than that because all the medical equipment places were closed and I needed relief immediately. She told me to hold on and made the comment that they do have crutches and she left again. She came back telling me that my insurance was the reason I couldn't get them there. I offered to pay for crutches and asked the price and was never given the price nor option. I had also commented to her that I was not surprised that I was not given pain medication either because as soon as they hear I am on a medication for opiate addiction recovery patients, I am treated like a drug addict. I left out very upset and I will NEVER come back to this place. The PA has a terrible bedside manner and treated me like it was something to suck up. Don't ever go there for a painful problem!

Very disappointed with my experience on Friday night. Went in with all the classic symptoms of the flu. But could have bronchitis or possibly even pneumoniabut the physician that saw me made up his mind that I'm suffering from allergies and totally ignored anything else I had to say. Even though i have no symptoms of "ALLERGIES". He simply made his diagnoses with a white blood cell test which doesn't definitively rule out anything. A true indicator would have been a culture test which takes a minimum of 24 hours of growth. Didn't suggest a chest xray because like I said he made his diagnoses before hearing ALL the symptoms, doing the correct and necessary testing, or simply listening to me. Arrogant doctor that just wanted to belittle my knowledge and get onto seeing the next customer waiting. Money money money. I was charged $175.00 for a steroid shot and a blood test that neither did anything to help me. They gave me prescriptions to treat something i dont have....ALLERGIES. The pharmacy charged another $75.00 for the medicine that didnt work. So im out a total of $250.00 and still feel the EXACT same way. It's now Sunday afternoon and I feel no better then I did Friday night before seeing them. I wouldn't trust my healthcare to this place people....... ********************************************** Tuesday night........Still no relief. It's obvious at this point the "doctor" was WRONG. $75.00 for medicine that DID NOTHING. I've coughed so hard and so long now that I've either crack some ribs or torn some tissue. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED IN THE CARE IVE RECEIVED FROM THIS PLACE. THEY STILL HAVE MADE NO EFFORT TO CONTACT ME AND MAKE THIS RIGHT. ********************************************* 1 and 1/2 weeks had passed since being misdiagnosed by this clinic. Still sick and coughing and in EXTREME PAIN in left lung and ribcage. Decided to go to Roper St. Francis Express Care in Ladson. Just as I had originally suspected....after having xrays taken and exam done, I was correct. I have pneumonia. I have suffered for 2 and 1/2 weeks was given the wrong medication for what's wrong. All because the arrogant doctor at Doctors Care wouldn't listen to me. He didn't do the correct testing to be able to make an informed diagnoses. Too busy comparing himself to Marcus Welby MD. Listen people, DO NOT TRUST DOCTORS CARE IN SUMMERVILLE. I sincerely recommend going to Roper St Francis Express Care. Much more qualified to help the sick. I'm still waiting for Doctors Care to make this right by compensating me my hard earned money they took from me while misdiagnosing me.

Never again. The incompetence was rampant. Red Flag#1 woman couldn't pronounce half of what I told her for medical history--then didn't ask for explanation when she clearly didn't understand. Red Flag#2 the doctor didn't even put down his clip board or introduce himself. Went for a persistent rash and he looked at me from a distance and said that I had an allergic reaction because I have asthma??? I'm breathing fine that's not what I went for!!

I woke up sat morning with a bad sore throat. My reg doctor's office was closed. So I called Doctors Care on main street . My wait time was so fast. Everyone there was so nice ,the test fast and it turned out to be Strep. Dr Finch was so sweet. Every thing was so fast and I spent a lazy weekend in bed Thank you Doctors Care. They even called me Monday morning to check on me S.Allan .

I am fully insured, 27 weeks pregnant, and unrightfully denied treatment at the Summerville location on 4/19 around 7:40pm by both Morgan, PA-C and Finch, PA. I am honestly at a loss for words... I am a nurse I can’t imagine having people lacking passion and competence. I wasn’t even assessed.. not even a set of vital signs. Legitimately, turned down and told to go to the emergency room. This is concerning, disheartening, and could've turned out very badly.. considering my health and the health my unborn child. I will do everything to assure this is not only addressed, but never happens again. Our patients deserve better healthcare. I deserved better care. And as a healthcare professional, it is truly saddening to see this actually happens. ***** I DO NOT and will not reccomend anyone going here.. anyone.**** I understand this location closed at 8pm (Sadly.. I can almost guarantee this played a major part in this situation) but it is your JOB.. It is your DUTY... where was your sense of compassion? ..Honestly? I’m a HUGE advocate for optimal healthcare for ALL patients. What happened is beyond pathetic to say the least. Sadly, you have played a part in what’s wrong with healthcare, today. Shame on you, Doctors Care.

Doctors care was wonderful! I checked in online and was sent a text saying when to arrive. I probably only waited In the waiting room for about 5-10 minutes (I arrived a little early to do paperwork). Staff was very polite and friendly and the doctor took the time to listen to all of my symptoms and I appreciated her telling me a few things to try before going to antibiotics and explaining to me why. The doctor also gave me a detailed sheet of instructions for when I came home and what to look for if I needed to come back. I highly recommend Doctors Care in Summerville, SC and will absolutely be going back the next time I am sick.

Summary: This is a money hungry doctors office that apparently will FALSIFY MEDICAL DOCUMENTS just to obtain higher payments from patients. Do not go to this office unless you want to be scammed and for doctors to lie about the symptoms you tell them. Full story below. Doctors apparently do not document what patients tell them and instead put whatever they want into the system so that they can charge for unecessary tests. I came into the office and told the nurse and doctor that I had a sore throat and cough due to my seasonal allergies- only those 2 symptoms. The doctor came in and stated that she was going to take a nasal swab so I assumed it was to check for a sinus infection. AT NO TIME DID THE DOCTOR STATE THEY WERE TESTING ME FOR THE FLU. I knew I didn’t have the flu as I did not have any of the most common flu symptoms. Long story short I received a bill in the mail for a $100 office visit (even though this office is within my network) and a $200 charge for a FLU TEST. The doctor never once told me that the swab was to test for the flu, if she had I would have declined it. I had a friend with me that confirmed that she never said the words “flu test” or why she was going to obtain the swab. I called their billing line and as soon as an agent answered she was speaking in a monotone irritated tone and I could tell she was not going to be of any help. She was extremely rude and pretty much dismissed me when I asked why I would have been charged for a flu test and why they wouldn’t have told me that’s why they were obtaining a nasal swab. She told me that the doctor had listed various symptoms that “I claimed to have” and when I told her that I did not say any of those things she told me that “the doctor wouldn’t just make these things up since they have to put exactly what you said and if you didn’t want a flu test you shouldn’t have let them put a cotton swab in your nose”— pretty much calling me a liar. Then she proceeded to TELL ME that I never told the doctor or nurse that I was there for allergies— that was the FIRST thing I told them and my friend was witness to this. She told me that they would not reduce the flu test charge and when I asked if I could speak with a supervisor she told me no. STAY AWAY FROM THIS OFFICE.

Had a great experience at Doctors Care Summerville. All employees were courteous and professional. Had a limited wait time. The PA that treated me was through and did a great job analyzing my symptoms and called in a prescription for me. She also called me two days later at home to find out how I was progressing. I told her the antibiotic was working ( I had strep throat ). After finishing antibiotic I was healthy again and have nothing but praise for Doctors Care Summerville.

And also provided me with additional information for an orthopedist. He's top notch! I did a survey on my visit . The results were good but I did list a way I thought improvements could be made . I had an immediate call (Sara I think ) from a very caring and concerned representative. The situation was thoughtfully explained and we also discussed a way to implement a informative solution. I had a drug screen for work and brought my pharmacist print out of medication allowed . The original employee didn’t accept it . I feel that there should be someway of noting on the test that a client has medication allowed paperwork. In this day so many people do the wrong thing with medication & it causes scrutiny and judgement etc on the ones who do follow the rules . The lady who called me was very caring and understanding abt the issue . I highly recommend Doctors Care . Especially the Summerville north Main Street location. Kindest Regards , Connie

This place is terrible to bring children. They prescribed my 19 month old steroids and diagnosed her with allergic conjunctivitis. She had pink eye and is now suffering a double ear infection. They have no idea what the hell they are doing not to mention they sent her meds to the wrong pharmacy twice because they don't LISTEN. I even called to confirm it was sent to the right one twice as im sitting at the Walgreens and they said yes. They sent it to CVS. NOT HAPPY !! My baby is super sick now thanks to my ignorance bringing her here!

Today I had the absolute worst service with Dr. Conrad!!! I came to the office in excruciating pain she gave me only 2 options to treat me with and was not empathetic at all!!! I refused a painful injection due to already being in a lot of pain and asked her was there another route that we could take. She told me to go to the emergency room!!! Go elsewhere for better and efficient care!!!!! Not to mention she could’ve had a law suit on her hands because I’m a nursing mom and the medication that she offered could’ve harmed and possibly killed my baby!!!!

My experience happened to be great. Migraine that wouldn't go away. I saw the dr. not the pa. She recognized the nausea meds I was using wasn't good. I followed up and she was right. The one she gave me was awesome and worked. She said if the "cocktail" she gave me didn't work to go to the ER tomorrow for intravenous meds. I did. She treated me great. And the staff was great to me also. I was so grateful.

Good service from their front desk and knowledgeable and friendly medical staff. Just hope you never have a dispute with their billing department. While they don't even inform their employees at the clinic about changes in relations with insurance companies and tariffs, they expect patients to know what has changed and they abruptly start billing $50 for the normal copay of $15 that was always charged at the clinic. They also bluntly refused to re-submit their bill sothat certain procedures are covered. My wife and I had the same insurance in 2016, we both had the same nose swab test done on visits 4 days apart; however, insurance company was billed in a different manner. Result is that my wife's test was covered, but not mine was denied. I was treated very unfriendly and once even rude; I had to contact the person who handles medicare bills, could not get a hold of her while I left several messages. Never was called back. Finally, exhausted from the calls I send them a certified letter. Not sure how many stars to give them them. Finally decided on 3 Medical staff and front desk at clinic - excellent - 5 stars Contact with billing department - terrible - 0 stars

Brought my son in on a Tuesday afternoon and was told he had mono. He was prescribed prednisone. After three days, he woke up with a rash all over his body. I called to inquire and was asked to bring him back in for an assessment. Did so and was told by a different PA-C that he does NOT have mono and she's not sure why the PA on Tuesday told me so. I have a copy of his paperwork that I was given on Tuesday that states his diagnosis is mono. She told me she would leave a note for him to call me on Monday(that's when he was scheduled to work again), because per his bloodwork, he doesn't have mono. I was like, ok, please have him call me. Here it is Wednesday afternoon and I have heard nothing. I get that people make mistakes but to tell me he has mono and then someone else tells me it isn't mono is confusing to me. Then, there is no follow up to this mistake. I will not come back nor will I recommend this place to anyone!

After being completely let down with another "urgent care" facility yesterday, I decided to go to Doctors care for an infected splinter embedded in my finger. The service was quick, professional and I was in and out within 30 minutes ! The staff there are courteous, professional and ALWAYS deliver outstanding service. I will not return ever. They had no idea what was going on. Everyone looked and acted stressed. The doctor didn't even listen to what I had to say and made a very off diagnosis. How can you know whats wrong if you are so rushed you don't even listen to what the person is telling you? A word of advice to Doctors Care......the doctors need to care more! The staff were not rude but they just need help or something because it looked more like McDonalds at lunch time then a doctors office. Oh and they openly discussed your problems in front of everyone including other patients!!!!!! I don't mean a cold symptom either. Im talking very personal stuff that absolutely embarrassed me to the point that I will be calling somebody in charge to address this issue as well.
