For the most part, I was quite pleased with the service I received at Doctor's Care. My waiting room time was something along the lines of a half hour, which, considering I was a walk in patient, is more than acceptable. The professionalism at the front desk left a bit to be desired; the receptionist was a bit rude to a couple of the patients, but I guess you can't have everything. Once I got to the medical professionals, the care was quite good. The nursing staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The technician was able to draw blood for my blood work from a vein that NOBODY ever gets - I was impressed. And Doctor Lance was very attentive and answered all of my questions. They did the blood work and an EKG; the technician who did the latter was clearly a bit inexperienced and had to leave the room to request assistance a couple of times, but no harm done. All in all, I'd say the service I received was quite good. I'd definitely go back in a similar situation.

While I did wait for close to an hour to be seen, I was a walk in on a busy Monday. The vitals intake nurse apologized for the wait, but it was understandable. When I saw the PA, Ms. A. Britton she was excellent and efficient. Thank you!

Every time that I have had to go to this location I always leave satisfied and aware of what’s going on. I fee that I’m never left in the dark about anything nor do I doubt it question any procedure. If ever I can’t get to my primary physician I make it a point to come to this location.

Currently waiting to get seen on a Sunday, glad that they are open on Sundays, but the lady at the front desk is very rude and not helpful. Payment was taken before I saw anyone and I find that odd. Make sure to schedule your appointment online prior to arrival to the office, or you may wait forever to be seen:) Also, call in advance to make sure that the provider takes Tri-Care military insurance before you plan to schedule your appointment online or arrive as a walk-in patient, because each contracted provider takes different insurance coverage! I learned this today. The Physician’s Assistant was fantastic and provided the highest quality of patient bedside manners, patient care, prompt lab/ x-ray diagnostic testing with results, and knowledgeable educational diagnosis/ discharge patient “kid” and “parent” description of the answers to the parent too!

Was told my son's prescriptions would be called in to the pharmacy when we went to leave. They didn't do that. By the time I got to the pharmacy it was after 5pm. So there was nobody at doctors care to answer the phone. The next morning I called to let them know that this was unexceptable. The girl on the phone got rude with me. I will never go there again and will not recommend this place to anyone else. If it was their child they would be highly upset.

Terrible experience. Paid to have a physical and asked the doctor to fill out the immunization form. He simply wrote “see attached” and attached a copy of my immunizations. The form clearly said it had to be individually filled out. When I brought this to his attention, he said, “well this is how I’ve done it for other schools and no one has said no!” My school rejected the immunization form and said I needed to get it refilled out. The best part was that I was missing a few boosters and the doctor didn’t even look at the chart to notice it, he just simply wrote “see attached.”

I visited here on 5/29/19 for my son. I did the online checkin around 4:00pm. I called 1 hour later and spoke to the receptionist Sharon (African American lady with an accent) who assured me that his name was on the waiting list and for me to wait for the text message telling me to come within 30 minutes. Refusing to tell me how many people were ahead of my child. I showed up to this Doctors Care at 7pm knowing that they closed at 8pm and that same receptionist rudely me tells me “the checkin falls off after so long, you have to check in here” as she points to the kiosk never making eye contact with me. Very poor service.

Went to Doctors Care today (Christmas Day!) because I caught germs that were going around my office. The staff were AMAZING, professional, polite, and they even helped make sure that there was a pharmacy near by that was open. They even told me I could get my prescription directly from them if I needed. Best customer service I have ever seen in an urgent care/doctors care type office, and especially on Christmas Day. Thank you for being open and helping those of us that really needed to feel better before having to return to work. I greatly appreciated it today.

I have never been so discouraged, disheartened, and disillusioned by a medical professional in my life. By all means, if you cannot be seen by the doctor at this facility, then avoid the Physician Assistant at all costs. I entered the facility in severe pain with what I self diagnosed as a pinched nerve in my neck, a lump/knot on top of my shoulder and a deep pain in the socket area of my shoulder, along with sensations of tingling and pins and needles radiating down my right arm all the way to the top of my palm. Also, the pain in my neck had caused me to spiral into a migraine, complete with sensitivity to light and upset stomach. The PA entered the exam room and started the conversation by saying that he would order an Xray but in his experience, they usually don't show much for this kind of problem. Excuse me, please review my symptoms before making a diagnosis. All he did was look in one ear. Never looked at my neck, never asked where the pain originated, just pressed my back and asked if it hurt. No mention of my neck shoulder, or migraine!!! So I said, my headache is really bad. His response, "Is it the worse of your life? I said not the worse, but on the migraine scale, it's an 8 out of 10. He dismissed my comment completely and walked out. The entire encounter took all of 3-5 minutes!!! He simply remarked that he would send someone in to take an Xray. The young lady who took the Xray was very kind. The tears just leaked from my eyes the whole time, because I was in such pain and nauseous from the light. She took an Xray of my back. I asked her if he had ordered an Xray for my shoulder. He had not. She went and inquired about the shoulder, and was given permission to take one, but I was perplexed because he had not ordered one of my neck. After the Xrays, The PA reentered the exam room "Just like I thought, the Xrays show nothing." I said " Sir, are you sure? Something is seriously wrong; I am not feeling well. (In my head I'm screaming, what if these are symptoms of a heart attack or stroke and not a pinched nerve? Why did I wait to come in? Why is this PA dismissing my concerns? Is it because I am an African-American women and he just doesn't see me? With the door open, and his body in the center of the doorway, he dismisses me with this reply, "Well, I told you, those Xrays don't show anything - you can always go to the emergency room. Very nasty, ugly, dismissive. I was stunned, still in severe pain, and sick to my stomach. My reply -"Okay, I may have to do that later." I attempt to check out and the nice lady remarked that the PA had not completed my paperwork yet. Approximately 30-45 minutes later, I approached the desk and asked for clarification about the medication for migraines because of allergy concerns. She checked and said he's with someone right now, but he said he's not going to give you anything because he's afraid you might go to the Emergency Room and get another prescription for the migraine medicine. How dare he?!! So this man was just going to leave me sitting there, no prescriptions, no referral to an orthopedic office, and an ugly insinuation. Is that even legal/ethical? By this time, it has now been 3 hours since I arrived and I may have spoken to him for 10 minutes maximum!!! OMG! I was stunned, hurt, in tears, and asked the nice lady if I could speak directly to the PA. She took me to a little area away from the reception area. I could see him sitting at the computer. After 8 minutes, the PA proceeds to tell me that he's not my primary doctor and would not be giving me anything for a migraine. Things deteriorated from there. I told him others could hear us and asked to move to a private area to discuss. After tears, raised voices, and nasty comments, the PA dramatically left the room. Dr. Lance stepped in and professionally resolved the situation. Thank you, Dr. Lance. I left there and went to Palmetto Orthopedic Center. The folks there took an Xray of my neck and it was immediately clear that there was a problem. Immediately!!! Do not trust your medical care to the PA at this site!

This was the worst place I have been to. It started with a phone call to the front desk. The woman that answered the phone was rude and not helpful. Online check in wasn’t working at all. So I thought I would call. She could offer no assistance and had no answers for wait time. Kept talking to the other staff while talking to me. So I assumed it was a bad day for her. I went in. Same lady just had a bad attitude. I had been diagnosed with both strands of the flu and didn’t want to expose everyone in the room but instead she was unable to run my insurance card bc that was “not in her job description”. By now dying was a better option. So after spending an hour trying to do her job, offering to pay cash I left. She also advised someone who didn’t want to wait to use musinex. Last time I checked she didn’t have a degree. My 104 fever, chills and chest pains needed a doctor not an attitude. Now I know why the elderly would rather die. The saddest part is had nothing to do with the medical professionals who I am sure are tired of her attitude too. Customer service has gone downhill here for sure.

One of the the two receptionists was kind, that's the only pro I've got. I waited for over three hours at this place. I initially spent 2.5 hours in the waiting room because there was ONE physician on site yet they'd been open for over an hour! After being seen for all of 5 minutes and having my head forcefully & painfully pushed back to inspect my nostrils, the physician told me to go sit & wait up front for my prescription. After waiting another 30 minutes, the receptionist (sweet lady) goes, "Oh, prescriptions are sent over electronically, you're good to go!" Why on earth did the PHYSICIAN instruct me to sit and wait if that was the case?! Not to mention, I witnessed one of the receptionist get snappy with other patients and one guy signed in and was told that the wait would be more than 5 hours! Please don't waste your time!

Oh I will NEVER go here until they hire people at the front desk who are QUALIFIED to handle patients! Urgent care is NOT a place where people are going to mingle..we go because we have an acute illness we need to be treated for! We aren’t feeling well PERIOD! And to have someone at the front desk who is non empathetic and LAZY is just sad! Not to mention my child was literally LETHARGIC in my arms and all they could focus on was money! My baby who was 3 is a PRIOR PATIENT!l whom they claim wasn’t in their system although he had been seen there SEVERAL times with VALID insurance! Was told to go into traffic after an accident basically shut the only way in or out down and they close in 1 and half hours

This review goes SOLEY to the Physican's assistant (or Nurse Practitioner) Kim Britton... She treated me for the Flu on March 21, 17, and was super kind, and her demeanor seemed to be one who cares about each individual patient.. This was the 2nd time in 12 months I happened to be treated by her. Thank you Kim. As for the receptionists..... get another day job. Chile, bye.

Called to get in the queue at Dr's Care-Ridgeview at 11:10AM and I got a confirmation text message for 5:00PM. Went back to look at the text several hours later in the day (they used to send you updates) and then got a message that my appointment was cancelled. WHAT?! Called the office. Waited for almost ten minutes before they could speak on the phone, and they are telling me that; since I'm not on the computer list and the online registry is closed for the day, that I will just have to come in and wait. Technically, I had already been waiting for four hours. After getting nowhere, I asked for the supervisor and asked if she would just get me back on the list. Reasonable? Apparently not. They don't have any paper. Yep, that's what she said. They have no more access to the online "list" than we do and were unwilling to right my name down on a sticky note or something for the 5:00PM spot. They suggested I just come in and wait. Why do they even have an online sign up if it means nothing? I had been to this site before and EVERYONE was great and the system worked smoothly. They were able to take an x-ray right then and the doctor determined I had pneumonia. I know they are busy now, but I would have expected better today. I will say that both the receptionist and the supervisor kept there cool and stayed polite, but that way of doing things at Doctors Care should allow for a PERSON to override the computer system. Or, at least supply paper for the staff.

Do not go to this establishment they will turn you away. They only care about money not your health which they took an oath for when becoming a doctor. Your money to them means more than your health and making you better. Dr.Lance along with his staff turned me away for money that i did not owe. Along with that a woman at the front desk thought i was comical and started laughing at my dispute. So please save yourself aggravation and go somewhere where YOU as a patient will be cared about. I have great insurance which provides me with full coverage which i how i knew i did not owe them money. So please dont go to this urgent care. They need to be shut down. Maybe then they will learn how to treat patients.

This place is ridiculously slow! We checked in online and waited 3 hours to be called! When we finally received a call, we raced to the office only to have all the people sitting in the lobby called before us! Don’t use the online registration because they aren’t effectively using it, they are preventing people from going in when it’s convenient to them under the false pretenses that they will be in line under an online check in!

We had a 30 minute wait. The receptionist was very courteous and professional. Dr. Stewart had a great bedside manner and spent as much time as we needed discussing our problems. We never felt rushed. She ended up referring us to the nearest E.R. and she made sure we were not charged for the visit. I would recommend this Doctors Care to anyone.

I HAVE NEVER BEEN SOO FRUSTRATED with a PRACTICE IN MY LIFE! IN TEARS with a SICK CHILD! I brought my son in on Saturday to see a Doctor due to fever, diarrhea, loss of appetite, nasal and chest congestion & cough. My son WAS a Self-Pay patient. I informed the receptionist to let me know of any Fees incur BEFORE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED! She told me the test will be covered under the $125 self-pay fee. 2 test were done, flu and strep, he didn't have either. The PA PRESCRIBED ALLLERY medicine. TODAY, NEW YEARS DAY my son symptoms have WORSEN. His Fever won't break, mucus diarrhea because he hasn't eaten, severe cough and nasal congestion with green and yellow mucus & inability to breathe through his nose properly, poor sleep of course. I take him back to Doctor's Care to be told I have a balance of $200 for the flu test, that THE PA decided to do. Then to be told my son couldn't be seen unless I paid $100, which I was willing to pay. The receptionist was very helpful, caring and kind (1 star for that). My son is now covered under my insurance, but deductibles haven't been paid yet. Soo whatever fees incur today I would also have to PAY TODAY!! WOW! Not being able to afford the services is not the issue, but WHY Incur DEBT because of someone's INCOMPETENCY! The PA, listened to my son's chest, looked in his ears and nose and ORDERED THE $200 FLU TEST! In less than 5 minutes! There is NO price on my son's health, but we must be wise. A DEBT OF $500 or more because someone else had the WRONG ANSWER for you is STUPIDITY! I will nurse my son as I have over the pass few days and take him to his PCP tomorrow. Know that as a professional in the HELPING FIELD, being CULTURALLY COMPETENT & as well as COMPETENT in your FIELD OF STUDY IS VITAL. DON'T PRACTICE HALF-HEARTEDLY at the EXPENSE OF OTHERS! I was a Medical Assistant for 8 years and now A LICENSED MASTER SOCIAL WORKER & I pride myself on being a LIFE LONG LEARNER. So the people I SERVE are HAPPY, CHANGED AND HEALED!

It had been a few years since I last needed to go to a Doctors Care and they didn't have the online check-in "choose where you wait" option back then. It worked exactly as advertised. I signed in online and waited at home. About 2 hours later they texted and said that they were ready for me. I drove to the Doctors Care, filled out a form and in about 3 minutes they had me in the back. A nurse checked temp, blood pressure, etc and asked what was wrong. A few minutes later the doctor walked in and spent 10 minutes or so checking me over and prescribing what I needed. I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. Everyone at the Doctors Care was very friendly, polite and professional. It was SO much easier and more convenient than trying to get in to see my regular doctor and I was very satisfied with the treatment that I received at Doctors Care.

I went to doctors care in March 2016 and was effectively laughed at for coming in to get a prescription for an albuterol inhaler to treat asthma. Dr. Lance told me that albuterol should basically be an over-the-counter drug and told me that I was wasting my money by visiting doctors care for the prescription. However, I have recently moved to the area and have not yet established care with the primary care physician. I ran out of medication less than a week before I had scheduled to see a primary care physician, and called doctors care to request a refill on the albuterol. A message was left for the doctor and I had to call back twice just to be told that I would need another appointment in order to get a refill. I did not understand this recommendation as my condition has not changed in over 20 years and he himself said that a script like this is a waste of an appointment and the medicine should be over the counter anyway. To my mind, these contradictory behaviors could warrant an ethics complaint. I will never go back to a doctors care.

The people were friendly but I can't get over the price. Avoid urgent care if all you need is a flu test. We were charged $390 to confirm that she had the flu. Average cost of the flu test is ~$75 (cheaper in other places, too). I was told that the flu test was $210 and the office visit (<30 mins of q&a) was $180.

I went to this dr yesterday with my knee swollen to the point i was unable to walk on it and the bottom of my chin was swollen. It was a older gentleman there seeing patience. When he came in the room he didn't even give me a chance to finish explaining what was going on w me he looked in my throat m told me everything looked ok. Didnt check my ears or anything else to see if maybe it was sinus related thats y under my chin was swollen. He walks out n says he was gonna get me to get a xray of my knee. After the x-ray came in n told me that i needed to lose weight thats y my knee was hurting because it was to much weight on my knee. I have never been so appalled. I had stop coming here cause last time i came n was seen by him we was in the room waiting on him to come bk n he never did. We ended up peeking out the door to see what was taking so long and how about the dr was gone the place had closed n they was cleaning up. This place is ridiculous when the lady is there it is great but the older black gentleman needs to retire.

Checked in online. Waiting 45 minutes till there was only 2 people in front of me. Drove the 45 minutes there. Waiting in the parking lot for thirty minutes till I received the text saying I was next. Walked in at 11:00 am and was told that if I checked in now that I wouldn't be seen till 1:00 pm due to the doctor leaving. This is absolute trash and needs to be fixed. Never giving them my money.

Almost a 3 hour wait. I arrived right when they opened at 8 am on a Friday. Only 4 people in front of me. I was in bad pain from a neck injury. No pain meds just a shot and some muscle relaxers. Had to go to my regular doctor the next day for some relief. The staff was friendly and the doctor did apologize for the long wait. The place looks nice on the outside. But the dust buildup on the medical instruments in the room and dirty wood floors assured me I would not be returning.

Once they prescribed me meds for a test that came back negative, and then they sent my son and I to the ER for an issue without doing any sort of physical exam, explanation, or anything! The nurses at the ER said that was the most dangerous thing they could have done.

OMG!!! what a GREAT experience. I've never gone to a Urgent Care out of the 6 year I've lived here in Columbia. Saturday January 19th at 9 am I walked into the office on Hardscrabble and the staff there was absolutely very polity and professional. I was Dr Lance who had the BEST welcoming and bed side manner. I wish he was my PCP!!!! Thank you Tina Earle, Dr Lance, Angie Berkley, and Shaquanna Burgess, and Debra henry for helping me on Saturday. I was sick and not feeling well and you'll made feel loved and that you truly cared about me!! and thank you for the follow up phone call this am!!! Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Our first visit here, we were quickly checked in and did not have to wait long to be seen. The facility was clean and the staff courteous. Once called back, we saw the Nurse Practitioner almost as soon as we were given a room. She was super sweet, very conversational all while being professional and made sure to ask all the questions needed to get a diagnosis for my son. I was very pleased overall and am grateful for the help we got from this establishment!
