I visited the Red Bank branch and had a pleasant experience. I had a horrible sinus infection and it actually took two visits (not their fault) to knock it out. The staff was very pleasant, wait times were minimal and Doc Whitney was very attentive. I appreciate the care I received here. Remember: this is an urgent care, not your regular physician NOR an ER. Many people are sick - your wait is merely dependent on the amount of patients. Those who complain should go visit a hospital!

Checked in online as suggested. Sounds great. Waited at home. Received a text to come back, they were ready to see me at 2:40. Filled out paperwork when I arrived. After about 30 minutes they brought me back for vitals. Now, an hour later still haven't seen the doctor. They close at 5:00. A suspected broken nose...put that down on the check in paperwork. Xray likely needed but now doubtful it will happen. Very frustrated.

Office staff literally sitting around twiddling thumbs and gossiping. Never even had sight of a doctor. After two hours I had to leave and go back to work. Pointless and a waste of two hours. And most importantly, ZERO medical attention. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME- YOU'LL BE DISAPPOINTED.

Best urgent care experience hands down. Signed in online. Got to the office and thought I would have to wait (no big deal) because the lobby was full. I didn’t!! Everyone was smiling even though they were slam busy! Communication was clear. Organized flow from the time I walked in until I left. Very Compassionate and friendly staff. This is probably the worst dr I've been to. My wife came here and had been waiting over and hour before being seen. The entire time while waiting we've heard nothing but laughing and other partying from the staff. The only positive is when your actually taken care of staff is friendly and nice.

Went in on Sunday and I was the only person there but still took an hr to get me back, the lady at the front desk was rude and made a patient wait 30 minuets for an excuse. Once I got back I couldn’t even understand the doctor because her accent, I told them I was vomiting the day before and had diarrhea for 2 days along with a uti and sinus infection. They check my pee and the nurse even commented on the discoloration but yet nothing was done. They told me I was so sick due to the sinuses draining into my stomach which is fine but yet they only wrote my prescription for nausea nothing for my uti or sinus infection which is why I was there in the first place. How about get a doctor that knows what prescription is needed. Also took 3 hrs total for maybe 10 minuets with a doctor and no one else was there to be seen. The only reason I gave 2 stars is because my nurse was very nice and helped me the most.

I wasn’t helped. I sat at Doctors Care for over two hours and the doctor came back and prescribed Ibuprofen which had no bearing because I have a double ear infection and a sinus infection. One doctor did a rapid strep test, which I do t think she knew how to do and then drew my blood to see my white cell count. All the while, my throat is swollen shut, I’m hacking up mucus and can’t talk because of the amount of drainage. Then my white cell count came back on the verge of a bacterial infection and I was not prescribed antibiotics. She prescribed cough medicine (I have no cough) and Ibuprofen. A complete waste of time. And it took an hour to be seen. After I was seen I sat in the room for another hour before the doctor ever came in to check on me. No one was there, not sure why that took so long. I’m not sure anyone knew what they were doing. Office staff were gossiping very loudly about doctors and patients in the waiting room. No one was helpful. Terrible experience.

I was having a real hard time getting help for my breathing since before May 30 but worst after the 30th. I tried to get help from Drs but they wouldn't do anything unless I paid$200.00 just to make appointment. On June 19 I came to this Dr Care, thank you so much Dr. Jah Eatman!!!! You and your nurse Mary helped me to breathe again,!!! I suffered all that time and you and your whole staff treated me with nothing but kindness and respect. Helped me to get an inhaler and now I have relief!!! Plus didn't change as much as could be have and the money wasn't the first thing they were concerned about. My son was seen by Dr Z for bilateral ingrown toenail on great toe both feet. Diagnosed with Infection of ingrown toenail but was not given any prescriptions at the time of discharge. Called back after getting home to inquire and was told by staff it would be e-scribed to local pharmacy. As of 24 hours later meds not called in. Called staff back at Red Bank Dr's care where he was seen and now told he would not be getting antibiotics because "she got all the infection yesterday when she cut away tissue from underneath his toenail" after THE ENTIRE TOENAIL WAS REMOVED on both great toes. Finding it very odd that standard of care or practice was not followed. This, along with other documented issues, poor practice, poor follow through, unacceptable and failure of miscommunication including proper discharge instructions written or verbal, leaves me thinking now I know why everyone comes to the ER these days for urgent issues that started out non-urgent but wasn't handled properly in the first place!!

My daughter and I both had an appointment with Whitney Buckland and I was not very happy with our experience. First it was 20 minutes before closing and when I walked in they were all giving me an attitude, I guess they are more concerned about their Saturday night than they are about their patients. I was very uncomfortable. The problem my daughter and I were experiencing was not medicated properly. Being a nurse I knew this, but Ms. Buckland, the physians assistant, didn't want to hear what I was saying. Guess she knows it all. Needless to say we were still sick a week later. When I called back for a refill on our script I was told "no" . I asked to speak to Ms. Buckland and was told I would receive a return call no later than 24 hours later. Never received a call. I called back and was told I was not able to speak with her yet again. I told the receptionist Jessica that I was upset and felt it was not handled professionally and she said "maybe I shouldn't have come there & should have went somewhere else" Really???? It's sad that you are treated like a herd of cattle by these big chain doctors offices. Unreal!!Never go there!!

When I arrived at the specialist office, my tests had all been forwarded prior to my appointment as promised. My family and I have gone to this Doctors Care for a few other issues over the past year. I went in with a painful sore throat and swollen lymph nodes. I waited there for about 1.5 hours and the doctor even said my throat looked bad. I was only tested for strep throat and walked out with NO prescription. Their diagnosis was that I had a sore throat (yes they seriously said that) and was told my body just had to fight it off. The doctor was nice but I obviously have more than a sore throat. I even had to pay my bill before I was even seen. What a waste of money and time.

Online check in is great. The wait was long but I was able to keep my daughter home for nap while waiting instead of in the office. Staff was friendly and helpful and the doctor (male, not sure of his name) really seemed to care. He made my daughter (6) very comfortable with everything he was going to do. Had to call back the next day for a doctors note and they got back to me quickly.

I was having a real hard time getting help for my breathing since before May 30 but worst after the 30th. I tried to get help from Drs but they wouldn't do anything unless I paid$200.00 just to make appointment. On June 19 I came to this Dr Care, thank you so much Dr. Jah Eatman!!!! You and your nurse Mary helped me to breathe again,!!! I suffered all that time and you and your whole staff treated me with nothing but kindness and respect. Helped me to get an inhaler and now I have relief!!! Plus didn't change as much as could be have and the money wasn't the first thing they were concerned about. My son was seen by Dr Z for bilateral ingrown toenail on great toe both feet. Diagnosed with Infection of ingrown toenail but was not given any prescriptions at the time of discharge. Called back after getting home to inquire and was told by staff it would be e-scribed to local pharmacy. As of 24 hours later meds not called in. Called staff back at Red Bank Dr's care where he was seen and now told he would not be getting antibiotics because "she got all the infection yesterday when she cut away tissue from underneath his toenail" after THE ENTIRE TOENAIL WAS REMOVED on both great toes. Finding it very odd that standard of care or practice was not followed. This, along with other documented issues, poor practice, poor follow through, unacceptable and failure of miscommunication including proper discharge instructions written or verbal, leaves me thinking now I know why everyone comes to the ER these days for urgent issues that started out non-urgent but wasn't handled properly in the first place!!

My daughter and I both had an appointment with Whitney Buckland and I was not very happy with our experience. First it was 20 minutes before closing and when I walked in they were all giving me an attitude, I guess they are more concerned about their Saturday night than they are about their patients. I was very uncomfortable. The problem my daughter and I were experiencing was not medicated properly. Being a nurse I knew this, but Ms. Buckland, the physians assistant, didn't want to hear what I was saying. Guess she knows it all. Needless to say we were still sick a week later. When I called back for a refill on our script I was told "no" . I asked to speak to Ms. Buckland and was told I would receive a return call no later than 24 hours later. Never received a call. I called back and was told I was not able to speak with her yet again. I told the receptionist Jessica that I was upset and felt it was not handled professionally and she said "maybe I shouldn't have come there & should have went somewhere else" Really???? It's sad that you are treated like a herd of cattle by these big chain doctors offices. Unreal!!Never go there!!

When I arrived at the specialist office, my tests had all been forwarded prior to my appointment as promised. My family and I have gone to this Doctors Care for a few other issues over the past year. I went in with a painful sore throat and swollen lymph nodes. I waited there for about 1.5 hours and the doctor even said my throat looked bad. I was only tested for strep throat and walked out with NO prescription. Their diagnosis was that I had a sore throat (yes they seriously said that) and was told my body just had to fight it off. The doctor was nice but I obviously have more than a sore throat. I even had to pay my bill before I was even seen. What a waste of money and time.

I was one of the first in because I know how the wait is at these places, you have to get their early. The staff all told me they hope I feel better before I left. Fast, friendly and effective! Went here needing to stop what I knew was sinus infection coming on. I have had plenty of them and they often turn into bronchitis if not caught early. I had been taking mucinex regularly for over a week and could not relive sinus pressure. Told Dr. all of this and asked for prednisone injection. Dr. said prednisone shot was only good for six hours. I should have left right then. Dr. said let me do diagnosis and I will prescribe whats best. They took blood sample, which I never needed done before. After exam she proceded to tell me white cell count in blood sample was good so no infection. Diagnosis was I had allergy. Prescribed a sudafed cough syrup, ibuprofen, mucinex and told me to take alka seltzer could and flu liquid gells. All over the counter meds... no antibiotics. So every four hours for two days I took these meds as I was told to. My symptoms ony got worse. After two sleepless nights my wife and I started talking about what meds I was taking. First off my regular Dr. had told me men over 40 should not take sudafed after I had been taking it and started having urination issues. Secondly the sudafed is a drying med and the mucinex is a thining med so they were cancelling each other out. So I went to my regular Dr. and he confirmed what we thought and also stated that the prednisone shot was good for 7 days not 6 hours and he wondered where she went to med school. I wonder if she went at all! I got my shot and an antibiotic and 24 hrs later I am almost well. And I got some decent sleep. Don't waste your time and money at doctors care just because they are a walk in service. You are better off going to a family practice even if you have to wait for an appointment. I will never go back.

A close place to go to get prescription meds for ailments. But if you have a serious problem go to a professional doctor. Also the doctor gives you suggestions to have certain procedures done then gives your phone# out to those businesses. Now I've got people calling me wanting to schedule appointments to be seen at their office. I did not give permission for Doctors Care to do this. if these other offices want to drum up business then maybe they should just advertise.

If I could give a rating lower than 1 , I most certainly would. Thanks to a doctor at this location who acted like I was really a bother when I needed to be seen, I almost lost my life. I was hospitalized for 3 weeks due to a flesh eating bacteria that I had. When I came to this location the doctor who saw me didn't take anytime at all to listen to what I had to say about what was going on with me. I had flu like symptoms, I was vomiting,and unable to keep any liquids down ,and the pain I was feeling was excruciating. Instead of listening to everything he just wrote a prescription for an antibiotic ,and walked out the door. When I called back a few days later to see about being seen again ,and to complain, no one in the office cared . The only thing they cared about was informing me that I just needed to come back in, and pay the fee to be seen again. I have taken the survey for this location,and given feedback, and I still have yet to be contacted to discuss this situation. Please avoid going here if you are sick ! Because of their negligence and lack of caring , I spent four days on a ventilator !

I wish outside orders were taken because I would never go anywhere else for blood draws!!! LOL. Great urgent care. Friendly staff. And Paige the manager is awesome!!!! SCAM l!!! Stay away from this place. I had drainage and runny nose for over a week and once the fever started I knew I was prone to infection that often turns into pneumonia. So I went into see the “doctor”. Right, it was a physicians assistant who obviously needs more education. She prescribed a bunch of over the counter conflicting medications. When my symptoms worsened, I called and asked her to call in an antibiotic explaining I had been in less then 48 hours prior. She had a nurse call to get more details and claimed that the PA would call me back before leaving. Five hours later I called and she had already left but left a note in my file that I have to have the symptoms for 5-7 days and would need to be seen again. First of all I had already had the “virus” for more than 7 days and lost 4 days of work. Secondly they said I would have to come back and be seen again and there is a doctor (doubtful) til 8. Third and probably most cowardly the PA who treated me took time to make a note in my file with a response but not to call me back. I will not go back and will be calling my insurance carrier to explain the lack of treatment. Truly scam artists and by the reviews not top of their class,

My daughter came in with an ear infection (she'd been crying it hurt so bad- very obvious). The doctor on call said she couldn't see past her earwax. First, she doesn't have much wax at all, her ears are tiny inside (she's 11 but tiny canal), pretty sure that was the infection drainage (family history which I told them). Second, she has nurse flush out the 'wax' and told my daughter if it hurts she'd stop...which she didn't right away! Now my daughter was in tears again. Lastly, the doctor said now she can't tell if the redness was her ear or the red stuff the nurse put in it...the nurse used peroxide and water- nothing red!!! Wth!!! Absolutely incompetent and I'll never go there again. Not to mention the lady at the desk was unbelievably rude and cold towards everyone and said I had to wait til they coded her in so I could pay my 10%....terrible service and unknowledeable! Oh and also an adult lady was literally chasing her teenage girl around the waiting area playing...I'm not kidding!! Laughing loudly, running around, absolutely ridiculous and no one told them to stop. I was told Walgreens was closed so I asked about the 24 hours Walgreens in downtown Lexington. The doctor said she didn't know nor did she make any effort to check. I called and they are open-they don't close on Labor Day.

The front desk staff was great and friendly and the waiting area was nice and clean. The wait after check-in was longer than expected since I checked in online but it wasnt too long. As for my visit....i was extremely dissatisfied with my visit with the doctor. After the unfriendly nurse led me to the exam room I waited for 50 minutes for the doctor to show up. No one came to speak to me, all the while I could hear all the nurses just sitting in the middle laughing and talking about their weekends. When she finally came in the room she asked the same few questions several times and then proceeded to examine me. Then she seemed to throw out a guess as to what the problem was. I feel she misdiagnosed me because I was fairly certain i knew what was wrong. Her response was, "it could be this" and "it might be this" and when I told her what I was pretty sure it was she said, "it could be that too". When she then went to tell me what she was going to prescribe me, she gave no effort to prescribe me something else I could take where it'd still be safe to breastfeed my 2 month old. I explained over and over that I exclusively breastfed my daughter and needed to take something that wouldn't affect my baby. When I asked if that specific prescription did her response was, "I don't know but it should be fine. Maybe just don't breastfeed her all the feedings. It should be fine". That is not a "fine" or acceptable answer. When I picked up my prescription later that night they suggested that I not breastfeed while on it and questioned why the doctor didn't prescribe me something else. So instead of taking that risk I spent yet another night miserable so I could call back the next morning and get a new prescription called in. The only positive here is that she called in an alternate prescription that I'd still be able to take while nursing. The fact that she didn't do that in the first place is ridiculous.

The front desk staff was great and friendly and the waiting area was nice and clean. The wait after check-in was longer than expected since I checked in online but it wasnt too long. As for my visit....i was extremely dissatisfied with my visit with the doctor. After the unfriendly nurse led me to the exam room I waited for 50 minutes for the doctor to show up. No one came to speak to me, all the while I could hear all the nurses just sitting in the middle laughing and talking about their weekends. When she finally came in the room she asked the same few questions several times and then proceeded to examine me. Then she seemed to throw out a guess as to what the problem was. I feel she misdiagnosed me because I was fairly certain i knew what was wrong. Her response was, "it could be this" and "it might be this" and when I told her what I was pretty sure it was she said, "it could be that too". When she then went to tell me what she was going to prescribe me, she gave no effort to prescribe me something else I could take where it'd still be safe to breastfeed my 2 month old. I explained over and over that I exclusively breastfed my daughter and needed to take something that wouldn't affect my baby. When I asked if that specific prescription did her response was, "I don't know but it should be fine. Maybe just don't breastfeed her all the feedings. It should be fine". That is not a "fine" or acceptable answer. When I picked up my prescription later that night they suggested that I not breastfeed while on it and questioned why the doctor didn't prescribe me something else. So instead of taking that risk I spent yet another night miserable so I could call back the next morning and get a new prescription called in. The only positive here is that she called in an alternate prescription that I'd still be able to take while nursing. The fact that she didn't do that in the first place is ridiculous.

Horrible and need to be ashamed of themselves. My 60+ year old mother went there for severe muscle spasms today, that had her in excruciating pain. All they said was its nothing they can do take her home. My aunt says, "No, she can't go home like this, we are taking her to the hospital so can you call them please." Their response was they dont do that. Upon arriving at the local hospital, it was proven they could have made arrangements for her at the hospital prior to her arrival. This means they have no compassion for people at all and are too lazy to do their jobs!!!

Great staff ! Amazing experience at an Urgent care. I’ve always been skeptical about them, but this place had true compassion in their work. From the time I walked in until the time I left! My husband was even impressed!! WOW!! He is in health care and when the manager was involved in my care he was in awe. He said that was rare and he would even be seen here! That says a lot!!! I have to say Doctors Care S Lake in Lexington never lets me down!!! Having multiple kids is never easy when doing anything, but especially having to make a visit to the doctor not feeling well!! I just started visiting late 2018 and I love how hands on management is!! In my experience usually they are not involved in direct patient care they’re always back up, but not here. That makes healthcare very reassuring if ever in doubt. I’ve encountered very pleasant staff as well as direct care from the manager and THAT IS AWESOME!!!!! I will recommend over and over!!!! Thanks again you all =))

I have been to another Doctors Care center years ago but visited Red Bank as it was close to work. Fast service when I signed in, a little wait but there were a few in front of me. They were friendly and reassured me that it wouldn’t take long. Friendly staff, they made sure I didn’t have any questions. Felt much better the next day. Easy, convenient, friendly and I will use again if needed.

i was very unhappy w my visit. My father & I signed in online at 8:30 am. Got a text to come to the clinic at 8:45 so we got to the doctors care & filled out our paper work and payed our copays. then waited around 30-45 minutes to get back into a room & it's now 10:35 and i'm still sitting in this room neither my father nor i have been seen by a doctor yet. Very dissatisfied.

Great experience! All the staff were smiling & friendly from the time I walked in until I was discharged. Compassionate care in a fast paced setting is rare, but this place provides just that!! Very organized, everyone communicated well, from the time I walked in, to get me in & out !! All my questions were answered very thoroughly!! Will definitely recommend as well as be back!!!

I wrote on check in sheet that i needed a refill of the only medicine that helps my nausea. I paid $125 and waited 2 hours past my online check in appointment time said to be there. When I was finally seen, Dr said she can't prescribe lorazepam. Unappoligetically, she told me to wait to see my primary care dr a week from now. Thanks! I would have spent that time in ER if they has bothered to tell me that I would wait just as long there and not even get helped.
