The restroom sink was out of order. I did not enjoy having to wash my hands outside the restroom, and I thought this was odd considering it's a healthcare facility and germ transmission and etc.... Other than that, I loved everything! The wintergreen mints at the front desk made my day since most other places leave peppermints for you. Ughhh. The staff was courteous and the doctor was awesome and listened to my concerns... Oh and I loved the text message that I received letting me know how many ppl were in front of me and when to head to the facility! So cool. I would def recommend Doctors Care to others. Thanks!

I waited almost 2 hours in the waiting room to be called. Once in the room i waited another hour with no doctor to check in. After they saw me i waited for another hour for them to give my my prescription and dismiss me. Worst experience i will not be coming back.

I called the office at 11 today to request a prescription while I am out of town. Brittany at the front desk is rude. She doesn't answer questions and just transfers calls without explaining who I am being passed off to. Seeing as how Brittany's name has come up for negative reasons in numerous of these reviews I guess I shouldn't be surprised by her poor customer service. I then spoke to Nick who told me they were busy today but he would tell the doctor and they'd get back to by the afternoon. I hadn't heard from them by 2pm so I called again. Again Brittany rudely transfers call and I get in touch with Nick. He remembers me from the morning and says they are so busy today. He told me he would pull the doctor when she came out of the examination room and they would either send the prescription in or give me call if they couldn't. Of course neither of these things happened. On Sunday the office closes at 5, so I called my pharmacy and they hadn't received the prescription. It's completely unacceptable that they never called me back. I could have tried to figure something else out if Nick had done what he said he would do. The fact that they are busy shouldn't mean that the level of service they provide should decline. Beyond frustrated.

I was seen Monday and diagnosed with a lung infection. Was given cefdinir and tusslon pearls to treat. I have no other symptoms but severe pain in my back and side after 3 days of antibiotics so I decide to call and ask for a stronger antibiotic like levaquin, which should have been rx in the first place. My call was in the morning and I was told I'd get a return call before the end of the day. At 4:45pm, I hadn't heard from anyone so I called back. I was told the doctor already responded to my request and that I needed to come back in. They were told I live over an hour away so that wasn't possible. I told the staff I wasn't able to get there and why did they wait ALL DAY to tell me this when all local Dr office are closed and my only remaining option is ER. I said this wasn't acceptable and I want to speak with the doctor. I was told they don't get on the phone but they would consult him again and call me back. I get a call within 15 minutes to be told my pulse ox was 91 on Monday and that's dangerous so I really needed to be seen as soon as possible to find out what else might be going on. ARE YOU KIDDING ME! This is now a medical emergency that should have been relayed to me this morning and if my pulse ox was that low on Monday, why would I be sent home with an antibiotic that based on reviews is worthless. I thought my health was in proper hands Monday and gave rave reviews until this occurred. Complete negligence of proper care in my opinion. I now have to decide to rack up thousands of dollars in an ER due to this facility being (paraphrase) "to busy to call me back" or chance it until tomorrow to see a better doctor that will give me the meds I should've been given in the first place. This facility will treat you like cattle through a slaughter house. Only worried about profit and no care about treatment. Such a shame

This facility is my definitely where I have been going for whatever treatment it is that I need. The ladies at the front desk are always so sweet and always willing to help. Mary Decker has an impeccable bedside manner. I always leave with a good experience at it will continue to he where I go in the future.

Went sick - was give weak antibiotic. Took the entire days of medicine. Called the next day and explain there was no change in my condition. Didn’t receive a return call until the next day. That call I was informed I needed to return to be seen again. Due to being self pay I didn’t go back until a couple days later due to nothing had changed in my condition. Upon returning I had to pay again ($125.00 per visit). I was then given this time another antibiotic and this time for half the duration as the first time . Two days after that I only had two more days of meds and condition was still unchanged. So I went back again - never got past reception desk and was told another med was being called to the pharmacy. Upon getting to the pharmacy I was given a over the counter medication. IF this is going to help then why wasn’t I told to get this on last visit. I have gone to this place for years- back when they cared and didn’t have any he attitude that I am bothering them . Won’t return won’t refer. Know they are not what they used to be- back when they tried to provide decent care .

My son was having flu-like symptoms and I was debating whether I should go to the ER with the doctors care. I decided to go to doctors care and the visit was pretty quick and they diagnosed my son with strep throat. The doctor, the nurse and the registar at the front desk where all courteous and helpful.

I was very sick, but they were able to take me immediately. No waiting. The nurse was great and the doctor solved my problem with the proper testing and prescriptions. Since its so difficult to see my regular doctor in an urgent situation, Doctor's Care, gives excellent medical care, quickly and efficiently. So glad they are there with many convenient locations. Close to work and close to home.

Computers were down, waiting room was EXTREMELY warm. I sat in waiting room for at least an hour before I was called back. Person taking my vitals was an x-ray technician which I thought was extremely odd to say the least. The wait time on that particular day was too long both in the lobby & the exam room. I think patients should be told if the person servicing them (taking vitals) is NOT a nurse. I surely didn't feel comfortable telling an x-ray tech why I was being seen .I must say that was probably the only time Doctor's Care frustrated me & I've been going to this location for a few years now. I love the PA's .

I received urgent care from this location early this year for a few times. My asthma was out of control and they will patch me up and get me better within days. Tired of going back every 2 weeks with the same issues I decided to finally get a family doctor who figured out I had a form of pneumonia. My general experience with Doctor's care was a good one so I recommended my wife to visit the North Charleston location when she was not feeling well. Her symptoms needed and MRI and got a referral for a Neurologist who diagnosed her with MS. Part of her diagnostic process required a spinal tap that caused her a lot of pain. Her Neurologist’s office was closed and my thinking was that a visit to Doctor's care will be a lot cheaper than an ER visit. We headed down to this location and got in right away. As soon as we talked to the nurse and describe the situation and symptoms her attitude changed completely she straight up told us, "You know we do not give away narcotics, do you?” The rest of our visit cycled around that principle and we did not get any help and got sent to the ER. I’m very familiar with the opioid crisis litigation and I get it, we are in the middle of an Opioid Crisis and this clinic might be on the front lines dealing with people that might be actually looking for opioids on a regular basis. Regardless of that I do not feel like someone that comes into a Doctor’s office with pain caused by a procedure that was caused indirectly by their own referral should be treated like a "poacher". I was there with my wife and two daughters and the atmosphere was so tense that I really wanted to leave and find help somewhere else. I felt so bad about the way we were treated that day that it really cast a nasty shadow to my opinion of this clinic I will never set foot on any of their offices again and DO NOT recommend it to anyone I know or that is reading this review. Once we got help somewhere else it turned out that My Wife’s real issue was that her blood pressure was too low, salty food, rest and plenty of water took care of their symptoms within hours. If only someone would’ve look at that instead of immediately think we were trying to squeeze narcotics out of them, it would’ve save us the embarrassment and humiliation that has driven us away from this place forever. As far as the front desk staff, the doctors and every other nurse that has helped me in the past they were very nice. I must say that they never really provide a permanent solution to my issues, and I don’t think that is their real objective, you should have a family doctor that can look at all your issues, but before this horrible visit they certainly got me back on my feet when I needed. Is a shame that the attitude of one employee took down the trust that took months to the rest of their staff to build.

Worst place to go. I went here to get checked because I had a high fever and my ear was throbbing and so was my head. It made me sick to my stomach. I finally was seen by a physician and she said I had a stomach virus, wrong!!!! She deff didn’t know what she was doing she just prescribed me stomach virus stuff and that’s it. They don’t care for you. They just want to prescribe and get there money. Anyways, I went to health first and they said doctor care was so wrong you definitely got a bad sinus infection! Do better doctor cares!

If I could give this facility a negative rating I would! The front desk staff are absolutely rude and disrespectful. I've had an issue with this office on more than one occasion! They were trying to charge me a copay and also said I have a balance on my account, but with my insurance I have NO copay! They don't take the time to do their job correctly, or call and verify info with insurance companies. I had my insurance call them and the front desk staff also got ride with the insurance company. I called back to speak with the manager, she was also rude and told me to yet again have my insurance 3 way a phone call stating I had no copay. Once I called back with the insurance company the supervisor got on the phone and was rude yet again even after my insurance telling them I have no copay and the supervisor hung up the phone!!! I've had to file a grievance with my insurance and also a billing grievance since they are saying I have a balance. I will NEVER go back to Drs care! Very rude and unprofessional and I wish I could do more than just write a review on them!

I DO NOT GO TO HOSPITALS OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT but I was feeling bad for 3 weeks and had to go in Doctors Care made me fee comfortable, the nurse made me feel like he actually cared and the PA was absolutely outstanding with helping me figure out what was going on with me. I salute you all.

I saw the doctor for all of 60 seconds for them to dismiss me. Considering the lofty prices medical professionals charge, I would be a much happier customer if you didn't step in the room just to say, "Do what the nurse said" and leave.

I have had to go to Doctors Care several times in the last couple of years. Each time, the front office staff were friendly and accommodating, pleasant, and helpful, while maintaining their professionalism. I saw Mary Decker and Stephanie Cretellla and both "listened to me", heard me, and treated me appropriately. I was afraid it would be a "treat them and street them mentality" and I got the exact opposite...A professional who looks at the individual as a whole. Very good experience during a difficult time. I have been to Doctors Care - Northwoods several times and have always had great service for my issues. I have had to wait, but without an appointment, I did not feel that it was for that long. Glad to have them in my area to have the resource when I need them. Would reccommend and have done so.

Went in to be seen about a cut where I fell. I was told I had a balance from my last visit, which I didn't know about. Apparently they didn't file my insurance correctly, which is why I had a very high balance. Instead of the office trying to re-file it, they said I would have to contact corporate and I couldn't be seen until it was paid or insurance covered it. So I had to walk out and find somewhere to go with a huge cut on my back. They don't have to worry about me coming back.

I don't have a problem with the doctors. It's how I was treated at the front desk. I was there on November 26 after taking all of my medication I was still feeling bad so two weeks later I went back. I was told by the young lady at the front desk that I had a balance from my previous visit two weeks ago for my lab work. I told her that I never received a bill. That was just two weeks ago I was told if I didn't pay the balance I will NOT be seen. I've been going to doctors care West Ashely for 15 years and never had any problems. When I call the next day to ask about how do they bill their patients I was told that no I wouldn't have receive a bill it was to soon! I will NEVER go to that place again!!! It was embarrassing to have someone talk to you like that in front of people, like I don't pay my bills. After this incident I'm going to find a primary care doctor.

Checked in online at 9am. Got an appointment at 10am. At 9:30 received my text to make sure I was on time. Got here at 9:50 to 9:55am and signed all paperwork. Still sitting in the waiting room while all other patients have been seen ahead of me. (Finally got called back) 11:10am.... ridiculous Don’t have an online option if you make your patients wait over an hour anyway.

My daughter and I was both seen at Doctors Care. The Doctor, Nurse, and staff did a great job taking care of both of us. The facility was nice and clean. The office hours is so convenient with my work schedule and my daughter school schedule. We don't have to take time off of work or school. We can go later in the evenings or on the weekends. Keep up the great work.

Too bad I can't give 0 stars, my experience was just atrocious. The front desk lady, Brittany, cared only if I had the money and didn't care to answer any question I had. To those who have health insurance like me, go to a family doctor- not Doctor's Care.

If at all possible, wait to visit your primary physician or specialist instead Doctors Care. I went to this location last month and was disappointed with the inconsistent follow ups on their ineffective prescription submissions and "referrals". My complaint reached upper management to no avail. I should've forwarded this matter to the Better Business Bureau for review. Fortunately, I was able to stop a couple of associates from visiting their location after sharing my story.

Staff was great, answered most of my questions and followed up quickly after my visit when there was additional information. Super friendly nurses, x-ray tech, and PA. Cons: • Waiting room is a little dirty. • Hold music is TERRIBLE. You could replace it with Nickelback and people wouldn't complain as much. • X-Ray room ceiling has some visible mold/mildew on the ceiling tiles. Probably from condensation, but not something you want to see when laying on an x-ray table. • Questions about costs not really answered up front. I don't like surprise bills, but I wasn't able to really get any information after my visit regarding billing for services rendered. I'm left to wait for EOBs and hope everything was tallied correctly. Overall, a pretty good experience, but I was left with a few small concerns.

I wish every nurse on the planet were as kind and cordial as the ones at Doctor's Care Northwoods! I have been using this office for my personal and family needs for years. Over the years I have seen many changes: the wait time is drastically reduced, the lobby is refurbished and has a big screen TV, they have a pharmacy...they even take appointments now in addition to walk-ins. Last year, they were able to catch a MRSA infection with my husband that the local ER didn't even catch. It saved his leg! It matters not what you go for. I was just there for vaccinations & flu shots for my work. At other times, we have presented VERY ill: kidney infections, severe flu, broken bones, you name it. My family considers this office as our personal doctor. They have always been kind, professional, courteous - but the most important thing is they listen and really seem to CARE. - Many thanks!

I went to Doctors Care for simple testing. I was greeted by the front desk staff promptly and professionally.She had a smile and was very helpful answering my questions which were many. I have to admit. Despite being the first thing in the morning I was in and out and on my way. The nursing staff was professional and courteous. I was able to bring my test results with me when I left. The cost for testing was also very well priced as well. I would recommend Doctors Care.

Went here early may to get labs done for work. I was told it would be about a week. 3 weeks later, I emailed and they said they were looking in to it. A month and a half later, still no results or response. I called and got a office person and within a couple of minutes, had my results emailed to me. The person who is supposed to deal with these things didn't do their job and it took someone else who was probably busy to do it correctly. I had some bad results too. It would've been good to get them much earlier.
