Checked in online. Arrived at specified time. Waited two hours before leaving without being seen. I was the only patient in the waiting room when I arrived, so it wasn't that they were busy. Staff was not very friendly. Would NOT recommend!

Awesome place. Great service. The staff was extremely nice. They seemed very concerned and made me feel comfortable and answered so many of my questions. The doctor was absolutely perfect. He listened to me and found my problem and fixed it right away. 4 of my ribs were misplaced and he popped them back into place. Although I still hurt because of back issues, I assure you that if I had gone to the ER at South Strand or any hospital, all I'd be given was scripts for pain killers and muscle relaxers. This placed fixed a minor problem I had and now I can take deep breaths again.

Front desk lady and nurse were great! I waited 3 hours. When I finally saw the Dr, she did not introduce herself. I have chronic lower back pain, so I was basically there for a steroid shot. I've been to the hospital for this before. She didn't tell me what injection she was giving, I had to ask. She told me she sent a prescription to CVS but didn't tell me what it was. Didn't even tell me if it was a steroid or a pain pill. All of that could be forgiven, if she wasn't rude and demeaning. I asked for her opinion/suggestion on what I should do next to prevent the pain or alleviate the pain. I asked if I should see a chiropractor or get xrays to see if my discs have shifted. She very condescendingly told me that Xrays wouldn't help me with my pain and then giggled at me. I'm not a doctor but I do have a brain, ma'am. Also note that they never asked if I was pregnant or breastfeeding. Not verbally or on paper. I was still breastfeeding and you cannot get a steroid shot while bfeeding. Luckily, I AM A SMART PERSON and I already knew that. It was my decision to get the shot and stop nursing. The only reason this review gets 2 stars is because the nurse, Miranda, was funny and nice and the receptionist was pleasant. This place is two minutes from my house and I will never go back.

To say I was impressed with both the staff and doctor is an understatement! Both my fiance and I went into this Doctor's Care location (for separate issues) and Dr. Rhodes was by far the most knowledgeable and awesome doctor we have dealt with in years! He explained everything with clear understanding and did not leave any questions regarding the diagnosis we both received. If you also have a phobia of needles, their Medical Aid is just as amazing. Cannot feel any discomfort at all. Our experience was wonderful. Thank you all so much for your help!

Doctor is quick if you can actually get in. We did not realize that you could book online and apparently this is the only way I would ever come here again. Three and a half hours later my son was seen. The doctor took 2 minutes with him to evaluate. Meanwhile, my daughter is autistic and screamed bloody murder for about 2 hours of it. I tried as best as I could to distract her with toys and movies. There is no children's corner here. People in the wait room we're trying to help because she was trying to make herself vomit, kicking, and throwing things. Sometimes exceptions need to be made. I understand that other people are sick, but to everyone's sanity and my daughters health they should have let us skip ahead. I informed them that she was acting this way because she is autistic when asked about her behavior. The front desk lady did give me crayons after I asked, which is nice. However, they should tell you how long the wait is. Never again unless I prebook online. Again, not asking to cut but once my daughter got to the point of a full out meltdown after 1 hour and thirty minutes. Make the exception for everyone's sanity. No one else wants to listen to a kid scream for 2 hours. Not even me. UPDATE: Due to sitting in this infestation location for 3 hours. My 8 month old contracted the stomach flu, my 2 year old daughter, and myself. Going on three days with this now. And currently my husband picked it up today. DO NOT COME HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO LEAVE WITH SOMETHING ONTOP OF WHATEVER YOU ALREADY HAVE.

Lied about taking my insurance, I asked the front desk if they take my insurance. I waited before I was seen as front desk "looked it up". Said they do. Paid my $15 copay and went on. A Nurse PA(not a Doctor) saw me. and I went about my way. I went here versus CVS under the indication I was seen by a doctor an they take my insurance. If I known they were going to charge 155 for visit to see a Nurse PA, 75 for weekend, 30 for oxygen totaling 250, I would have gone to CVS minute clinic across the street for the same exact services. I had a cold, nothing more.In the end they did not take my insurance and I received a bill in full. I called to dispute the charges, they had no concern for lying to me about taking my insurance and did not tell me all the charges for night and weekends with oxygen up front. I was lied to.

I am very happy with Dr. Care at Market Commons. My son injured his arm at the pool and within 2 hrs of making the online appointment they saw him, xrayed his arm and set his elbow back in place for his recovery. They even called back to make sure my little guy was doing well. I will definitely use them again if needed.

It is close and convenient to where we live. We take our kids there when sick because their regular pediatric place is difficult to get into with a sick visit. The ability to check in online is great. They text you with plenty of notice to get there for your turn. With kids that is especially helpful to not spend a long time in the waiting area. The docs are friendly and good.

Got there 7:55pm & the doors were locked was told "its 8pm by our clock" so that means they set their clock 5 mins fast smh last time i was here i checked in online & it texted me to come in to only have to wait another hour which makes online check in pointless. I have had to go to Doctors Care at Market Common twice within the last five weeks (on the weekends). Both times, the doctors had a great bedside manner and took great care of me. They were extremely solicitous of me, and listened to my concerns. For this last visit when I booked online, my appointment was less than 30 minutes away; I couldn't believe it. I highly recommend Doctors Care - Market Common. I have already recommended it to friends and family.

We had an situation that needed attending to on a Saturday afternoon. We arrived at 15 minutes prior to closing. My wife and I was expecting not to be warmly received at that time, but much to our surprise everyone was gracious and helpful. They even offered us bottles of water while we completed the paperwork! While we we being seen at Doctors Care, not once did we feel rushed. My wife and I would like to thank all of those who were there to help us in our time of need. We would highly recommend this place to everyone.

Their billing practices are bull and should be illegal. Went there a few weeks ago. On my paperwork I clearly stated my reason for going. I wanted a change of my antidepressants. After waiting hours I get called in back only to be told they dont handle those issues. Okay fine. No biggie. But to be billed for that is ridiculous. If you take your car to a mechanic and he says I only work on foreign cars cant help you, he cant then charge you for fixing the car. Called the billing office who said once you go to the back you gotta pay. Doesnt matter if they tell you they dont practice that kind of medicine.!!!! Lady at front desk was nice though.

The idiot receptionist, Kara, says she took my son off of the waiting list because we left. We've been sitting in the corner the whole time! Instead of her calling our name, or getting her butt up to look around the whole waiting room, she takes him off of the waiting list! I am LIVID! My child is not being seen here now, we are leaving!!!!

I was on Vacation when I became very ill. After looking for in network urgent cares close to my hotel I decided to give this one a try. I texted in advance to get on the wait list and the time they told me to arrive was accurate within about 10 minutes of the time they saw me. From what I hear the wait is usually 2-3 hours and this was my case also. The staff was efficient and professional. The Dr was through and friendly and the on site labs that were needed were completed quickly. I would return if I was in the area again.

I saw a female physicians assistant here for a severe sore throat that had persisted for over a week. She passed it off as allergies and was quick to leave the room. I saw another doctor at a different practice who determined it was not allergies and diagnosed me properly. They also sent me a bill after i paid my copay even though i had nothing done there. I will never return here and I live right up the road.

This is the 3rd time coming here.. and every time I came in, it was 2 hours or more waiting time!! I recommend that you bring your phone charger or something to read when you come here! Both doctors were great! Some of the nurses were pleasant and nice so that's a plus, but there will always be other nurses who are just snobs and rude!! Overall, I got the treatment I needed and thankful for it.. but I just hope the wait time isn't this long every time..

I was super excited this new branch was built so close to me. I visited the first week it opened just to meet and greet. Very nice and the folks and staff were very friendly. I especially like the web check in. Very efficient and I got to get some things done before my appt. 5 minutes of refresher paperwork and I was seen. Blown away by the staff here. The nurse was fantastic and Dr. Rhoades brought actual tears to my eyes with the way he treated my son. He was so kind,caring,compassionate and funny! Horrible i signed in online at 11:00 said they would be ready at 11:50...drove over no one was there there were no patients ....then i grt a txt sign in and wait another patient came after i have been waiting for 10 mins and got called back before me....there is no other patients here and im atill waiting been here for an hour while i hear everyone talking in the back...and ive been to doctora care before so all my info is in the system....if there were more people here i would u derstand but there is not juat me waiting for an hour and counting....also as im still here at 1:30 waiting on an xray o here the nurses and workers laughing ordering food and carrying.....i know they need to eat but im in pain and would like to hurry this along ....i ahould have just gone to the er

Went and signed in given time frame of two hour wait. Was told I would get a text of the time to come in. Once I received the text I arrived and waited for 40 minutes. Asked the front desk lady how much longer she said another 40 minutes to an hour. I told her to cancel me out. You get faster service at the er.

I'm sorry, I brought my son here and was upset that they wouldn't be his pediatrician. I was also having a very bad day so i left a 1 star review. Today, I came back and it was Absolutely amazing!!! CHECK IN ON LINE!!!! It's so easy. When i got there.... I waited about 15 minutes and Alex fixed me right up. As embarrassing as it was.... She was so professional. So gentle with sensitive areas. I love how well Alex treated me. She and the entire group of people there are so wonderful!!! I was so wrong for leaving a bad review. I am sincerely sorry for that. ALEX WAS AMAZING THE FIRST TIME AND EVEN BETTER THE SECOND TIME AROUND!!! THANK YOU

I wish I could give this zero stars!! If you are pregnant please don't ever go here!!! I went there for a possible UTI and I'm pregnant. DR.Rhoades put me on macrobid for a UTI which I didn't even end up having a UTI. It is dangerous to put meds in your body when you don't even need them. They told me to call back on my 4th day of meds to check if anything shows up in my urine. So I ended up waiting to take the meds until I got a actual true result. I called that morning at like 9 and never got a call back from him. So I called back and the nurse said " sorry we have been busy all day let me check for you". She told me that I did have bacteria in my urine and to take my 10 day prescription, which it was only 5 days. After awhile I called back to talk to the doctor and of course he wasn't there and the nurse said I can take another message. After that I flipped out. These people have no clue what there doing!! I ended up going to the ER and I'm glad I did!!! I have zero infections and they said that he should have never been put on that and thank God I didn't take the meds!! So I was lied to pretty much!! I will be calling BBB!!

I have been to this location on 4 separate occasions, twice for myself and twice for my 6 year old son. I cannot express to you how wonderfully they treated my son. We saw different doctors on each occasion and they were both spectacular. Not to mention how awesome the front desk and nurses were. I actually had a bad experience with Drs Care in Surfside and didn't want to use Drs Care any longer, but this one has 100% changed my mind. Of course you're going to have a wait, as they don't take appointments. But I never waited a long period of time any of the times we went. I'm honestly shocked that this location has any bad reviews after our great experiences. I just want to say THANK YOU SO MUCH for caring about my son and his health!

I was turned away with my sick asthmatic six year old today because the receptionist told me I had an outstanding bill of 219.00 from October 2018. My child has Medicaid and was and still is covered so I proceeded to ask you are going to turn away my sick child because of a billing error on your part and she said yes!!! I contacted SC Medicaid my child was covered and has been since 2012 I could not believe how we were treated and will NEVER enter this location again! And it being two days following Christmas makes it that much more disgusting.

This review is a few months late, but should still be said, as everyone should know how that this situation could easily be replicated for anyone. I have been to doctors care in Surfside numerous times and while there was always a wait, they are extremely attentive and actually help you with concerns. I should've gone there. This location was new and closer to home, so I expected the same level of care from the staff, however I was sorely mistaken. I went in for an abscessed tooth and waited 4 hours to be seen. There was also a walk in patient who came in an hour after I did, was from out of town with a stuffy nose and allergies, had never been there before, but pitched such a fit, she was seen within 30 minutes. That's not how it's supposed to work. The nurse and P.A. at that time were polite, but the P.A. literally spend 4 minutes with me and that was it. A prescription was given. The next day, I was having a reaction to the antibiotic they prescribed. I called to speak to someone about either changing the prescription or the dosage, however once I mentioned that I was experiencing swollen feet and ankles, she would not listen to anything else I had to say. She told me to call 911 or go to the ER. I attempted to explain that I wasn't having swelling in my throat or tongue and this wasn't life threatening, just highly unpleasant, however she told me my only options were to go to the ER, or come back in, in which they had a 3+ hour wait (and pay a minimum of another $125). I understand the concern that swelling can be a life threatening issue, however, I was trying to assure her that this was not the case in my situation. I was not offered an opportunity to speak to the P.A. who prescribed the medication, nor the actual physician on staff, despite the fact that I asked twice, but the receptionist said she spoke to the P.A. (I'm sure that was a stall tactic being that she put me on hold for about 30 seconds) and that they advised my only option was to go to the ER, which would have been a waste of the hospital staff's time, and a LOT of my money. I work in the medical field and if my life was in danger, I would have already gone to the hospital. I stopped taking the medication and the swelling went down. I called because I wasn't near by to go in, and I figured this could easily be handled by a simple phone call. By the time I was in the area, they had closed. I went back in the next day, standing in front of the receptionist who could clearly see there was no swelling, and asked again to speak to the P.A. I saw a couple days before. I was AGAIN denied this request and she told me I would have to sign in and pay the fee to talk to her. THAT'S ABSOLUTELY ABSURD! At that time, I was considered a patient in her care asking to speak to her about the current care I was receiving and the receptionist said it would be like a new appointment since they would have to evaluate me as a new patient. THAT MAKES ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE! I walked out and I can confidently say I will NEVER return to this Doctors Care location for any of my medical needs. If you need to go to Doctors Care in this area, please take the extra few minutes to go to the location in Surfside on 17 Business! Also, after I left, I ended up at minute clinic and the P.A. there was wonderful and pleasant, took care of me without hesitation and was A LOT cheaper!
