I was having terrible lower back pain so I went to camden bone and joint to figure out what was wrong. They did an x-ray but refused to do an MRI. After weeks of physical therapy making my symptoms worse, I decided to get an MRI done elsewhere to reveal 2 ruptured discs. This business made my back injury so much worse, all because they were too lazy to do further testing. An 18 year old should not have to deal with ruptured discs because of ignorant and arrogant doctors and staff.

Can't remember the DR I saw but he was kind. I'm sure he knew what he was doing. The front desk staff, the woman that checked me in wasn't friendly or welcoming. May need to address that with her. if she don't want to work there, then perhaps encourage her to do something else.

Ok, make sure you bring a pocket full of money even if you have insurance with only a copay and no deductible. This place made me pay a $20 copay which I am absolutely fine with but then also wanted me to pay for my X-rays upfront which would have been hundreds of dollars even though I only have 5% on imaging on my policy that I am responsible for and the insurance covers the other 95%. Most places will bill you if you have to pay anything extra. Not here, they want it all up front regardless what your insurance says. I am not going to pay hundreds up front when my insurance covers 95% of the X-rays. I left without seeing a doctor and didn’t even get my $20 copay back! So mad, they should explain all this over the phone when scheduling the appointment.

I had a very positive experience with Camden bone and Joint. I have been to their Elgin office and the Camden office, and I have been seen in a reasonable time each time I've been there (it's still a doctor's office though, so there is still paperwork and some waiting). They were able to see me same day that I injured my knee. They took time to explain my injury and I felt like a human, not just another number! I got better and I'm now back to as good as new! I would highly recommend going to Camden Bone and Joint to any of my friends and family. I did not need surgery, so I can't speak to that part of their business.

Camden Bone and Joint is a surprise island of professionalism, caring and skill in an area of rural South Carolina where one would certainly NOT expect it.The physicians, nursing staff and administrative staff are top shelf! Appointments are easy to make, and as extremely busy as the practice is, being the only Orthopaedic practice in the area, appointments are also kept by the physicians within reasonable time frames. I have multiple in-patient surgical experiences with nearly all the physicians, and their skills are tremendous, their bedside manners are superior and their follow-up outpatient care is thorough and exacting. As a Paramedic over two decades, I have nothing but the finest things to say about this practice. We in Kershaw County, South Carolina are really very fortunate to have such a high level of Orthopaedic skill and care right here in our backyards! - Tim Glowacki, Elgin, SC

It doesn't matter if you have an appointment and come 30 minutes early, the staff will find a way to make you wait 30 minutes after your initial appointment time. Also the doctor here sucks; very impatient, and will bullshit answers. Advice: look out and do your research on your condition.

I will be filing a complaint on Dr.Joseph. "The AMA and it's code of Medical Ethics have always maintained that Physicians should provide competent medical care with compassion and with respect to patients" This Doctor, is President elect South Carolina Orthopaedic Association? He was not only extremely rude (had family to witness it), he told me, how i injuried my foot, which was wrong. It was not a twisting injury.i asked for an MRI bc my family doctor also sent me there for that because I have had 7 stress fxs and know xray wont show it unless calcium buildup has started. I left his office and went to a specialist in Columbia the next week.My new Doctor examined my foot, ordered an MRI right away and I am in a cast finally with minimal pain. I went over 2 weeks because he wanted to treat me "conservativly" while I walked around in pain,i even called his nurse asking him to please not leave me that way. I did not want pills, just care. What happened to "first due no harm"? This is a copy I will send to the SCOA

All my appointments were on time and quick! Started with Dr. Murphy but scheduled/completed Surgery with Dr. Tran. Both were very professional and I cant say enough about Dr Tran. My diagnosis was quick and Surgery was flawless! Thank you Camden Bone & Joint. Now on to recovery

Terrible experience here. Worst Dr. I have ever seen as far as listening to me and understanding that my shoulder surgery was a complete disaster. I am giving him one more chance only because the place is close. If not satisfied this time, am paying for my records and seeking another opinion.

Very poor, could not get an MRI approved, went to another spine surgeon in Florence, had an MRI that day, having neck surgery in two weeks. Camden Bone missed a very serious diagnosis.

I am military member stationed at Shaw. 38 years old and 18 years in the military. I've never felt so demeaned, belittled and made to feel like I drove all the way down there with no real pain and or symptoms. The doctor that I saw was the most unprofessional unkind and unwilling to help human being I have ever had the misfortune to encounter. I could barely sit up on his table and he just grabbed my knee moved it around, said yes there's lots of cracking so let me take some X-rays. Then he came in chuckling...so there's nothing on the x-rays...like he knew I was full of it...and then said that he needed a copy of my disc from your past MRI. I said they faxed the results and he said they can't fax a disc man...as he looked at me like I was a biggest idiot in the world. I would rather live with this pain for the rest of my life then ever step foot in that facility again. He is lucky that I didn't educate him on how to treat other human beings and how not to go against everything that a doctor and or professional should stay for. Everyone in that facility was complete garbage and they might be used to treating people like their on a assembly line but but I guess that's what happens when they get free money sent to them from the military...everyone stops caring and just feels entitled to our business. I was being seen for right knee pain and have an appointment next Friday at 8:45. I might just go so I can enlighten that doctor on how to treat people. I was greeted by Kayla Brazell and was on my way into the office in no time. Shawanna Johnson made me feel at home while getting ready to be xrayed & see Dr Michael Murphy. The name of the kind woman who helped me with my xray escapes my memory but she made me feel comfortable. The Dr. was genuine, understanding and listened to what my goals & concerns were with my health. I am already implementing the advice he gave. On my way to check out, Shawanna said good bye & wished me a good day. Jennifer Terry checked my paperwork to finish out my visit and reminded me to call in April for a follow up appointment. I have confidence in the Camden Bone & Joint Staff and I certainly will recommend them to others in our community.

Everyone was pleasant from the front office ladies, nurses, x-ray technician, and Dr. Murphy. The issue was diagnosed in a timely manner and a follow-up appointment was made. I highly recommend this practice.

Well let me just pre warn you if you need surgery and can not work after surgery. The staff there is horrible and getting the paper work filled out for the short term disability for your pay check because you cant work, expect to take at least a month before they even get the paper work filled out it only takes 5 minute to complete the form, then continue to call you to where to fax the paper work and the fax number is on the paperwork it's self. Then they call you and ask you to pay for filling out the form and you already paid it because they ask for that up front,keep your receipt because they will call. We are still waiting on his pay check, called the company for his short term disability today and they are waiting on correct paper work from Camden Bone and Joint. So before my husband can get his money we are waiting on them.

The Doctor was great and friendly, but the check in process was a mess. The doors stayed locked until 8:30 and my appointment was for that time. Then I sat and waited to be called to fill out papers and ended up not being seen until 9:10. If you do not want to open the doors until the first appointment time don't schedule appointments right at opening. Other than that the Dr and nurses were great.

Saw Dr in late April or early May Dr advised Aleve be better in couple weeks. This is mid July and only worse. My co pay is $50 and then pay $18 for X-rays. I have left message at office would like Dr to review file and advise if he can help me or I need different type Dr. I’m on fixed income and $ just doesn’t grow on trees and I have no goose. Will update when see Dr reaction.

Dr. Tran was great. I fell and broke my elbow but I also hurt my wrist and knee at the same time. Instead of looking at all of them at one time they made get separate appointments for each issue. I told them the place where I fell was going to pay but they said they had to have their money up front and then another $60 co- pay. It's all about the money.

I went to them about my feet. I was seeing Dr. Nichols at first. He was an excellant doctor no complaints there but i had to see Dr Tran he didnt know what was going on with me and he said if he couldnt do surgery there was nothing he could do. Im still in pain no help whatsoever. So i would not refure them to nobody. The front desk was ok. I would refure Dr.nichols but not dr tran
