I've already discussed 8+appalling incidents with Simmons & office managers. Here is a very quick over view.#1 I was given paperwork for school to administer medication at lunch. ACP gave me this paperwork incorrectly. I resubmitted/waited and was given it incorrectly AGAIN. Seem minor? If I hadn't noticed, my child could have overdosed.
#2 Simmons administers extended release medications "split" despite the pharmaceutical warnings because 'he has done it for years." He 'fixed the issue' but the facts are his decision caused my child to have emotional/physical reactions. #3 While investigating an issue, asking the desk to find someone who handled pre-authorizations, I was put on hold MID SENTENCE for over 10 minutes.
Issues arose over simple tasks.My appointment wasn't scheduled and I was told they would 'fit me in!" They 'didn't know the process' to initiate IEP's. Paperwork sent to wrong office. Wait over a week for doctor signatures on paperwork. "The internet was down" twice. They have sent old scripts instead of new ones. Sent scripts to pharmacy we no longer use, causing insurance issue. They incorrectly handled PRE-AUTHORIZATIONS to change medications to insurance....TWICE!!!
I am my child's voice, his advocate! I should not need to call continuously to ask why THEIR JOBS were incomplete. I am glad to finally have fixed their last mistake so we can move forward to a new pediatrician.
