Dr. Dadario did an excellent job & she's the nicest doctor I've ever met!

Alison Muccino

Terrible! The staff is extremely unprofessional and rude. Dr. Didario was great but is no longer there. I've tried scheduling appointments at all different times of day to see if my wait would be different, and always arrive 15 minutes in advance. The wait, no matter what, is atleast 30 minutes, followed by another 15 minute wait in the exam room. I am currently waiting for my 8am appointment - which should have no wait because it's the first appointment of the day, and here I am in the waiting room and it's 8:35.... I'll be collecting my medical records and finding another doctor. I've put up with this office for 10 years too long....

I know that there are few dermatologist in RI, and the wait to get an appointment is long, but I MUST say this experience was WELL worth the 2 month wait. The examination it's self wasn't long but I will take quality over quantity ANY DAY. After being misdiagnosed by THREE dermatologist my frustration was beginning to effect me emotionally. THANK YOU Dr. Frankel for finally giving me piece of mind and correct treatment. I guess you were named TOP DOC for a reason ;-)

Waited for a long time and was seen for 2 minutes.

just called to make an appointment because by former MD retired. Woman answering the phone was abrupt and unprofessional. All they wanted was the insurance information. I explained it was in my car, that I have BCBS. That didn't matter, apparently they can't book an appointment until they verify insurance. Would bring my dog to this place.

I've been to this office several times for a couple of different issues. I've never actually met Dr. Frankel, only physicians assistants. The first PA I worked with removed a growth on my nose. Pretty uneventful, but communication was tough as they're always in a hurry. They must overbook, because you wait a long time for your appointment and then they rush through it. The current PA, Ms. Daderio, is very pleasant, but so hyper, rushed and frantic, effective communication is nearly impossible. It's an extremely frustrating experience. I give up on this office. Trying another one.

I was referred by friends to see Dr. Frankel. Some have been coming to her for over 20 years & another friend brings her children to see the Doc. I thought the staff was friendly & I enjoyed the interactive educational screen in the room while I waited for the Dr. to see me.

I waited almost three months to be seen by Dr. Frankel I arrived early being a new patient I filled out all the paperwork, handed in my medical cards(waited a long time to get those back) After 45 minutes of waiting I was told the doctor wasn't even there. The receptionist said they tried to call me and left a message on my house phone which they (did not) Very dissatisfied. They gave me another appt. almost another month away. I won't be going there again and to be lied to.

I waited MONTHS for an appointment. Unlike others, I didn't have a crazy long wait on the day of, but the actual exam was a joke. So unbelievably fast and cursory- she didn't check the backs of my legs or anything. She quickly looked at my face and back and that's it. I have a history of skin cancer in my family and prior to Frankel I had a dermatologist who was so incredibly thorough- he would check between your toes! Skin cancer doesn't always show up at areas of exposure- it can up in places that have never seen the sun. I can't believe how much I paid for about 1.5 minutes of perusal. And the kicker was the hard sell of the skin care line on the way out. Look elsewhere!

My mother always takes my son's to all dr. Appointments. I work full time and across town. Every time she takes my son to Ellen's office she is made to feel like a criminal. Unacceptable. So this week he has an appointment, my mother says they are going to give me a hard time so I called the office. I was told that I need a signed letter. I said ok well I will have to reschedule because I'm at work. I am then told oh there is a same day cancelation fee. REALLY. I'm told hold on a moment. Then I am told let me ask Dr Frankel. I will call u back. I received the call back we will allow it this one time . And continues to go on and on. My mother gets there and is told 3 more times. The same story. Ridiculous. Awful customer service in the whole office other than the spa.

The most unprofessional place I have ever been to. You wait at least an hour after your appointment to be seen. The secretaries are more concerned with asking patients personal information and trying to set up dates and then looking up the patients on social media! Completely inappropriate and unprofessional. Would NEVER go there again. I gave it one star because you have to click at least one.

Steve Johnson

Extremely poor customer service from the front staff. My Doctor however was very thorough despite the front staff being inept, hence the two star rating.

Horrible patient care, rude and unprofessional office staff. Booked an appointment in the beginning of May for there soonest opening, in July. To be informed on the day of my appointment that they have to cancel because they stopped accepting my insurance on June 1st. Over a month later they finally notified me, and now I have to find and wait to book a new appointment with some one new. Best of all they didn't care and can't refer me any where. The woman I spoke with was rude and had no sympathy or companion, just had an "oops, must have missed it." I can't be in the sun without blistering after an hour or two, and I got an oops... A simple Profesional phone call a month ago would have made a world of difference.

Appointment times here mean nothing, you still sit and wait at least a half an hour before being called in. The front desk receptionists are squares, no personalities, let alone a smile or friendly greeting. The medical assistants are always new. Half the time I go there, they want to remove freckles to biopsy, 4 poorly done stitches later. Stephanie Dedario is always hyped up with big wide eyes and never makes direct eye contact with you, however she is really nice. Aftet 7 years of coming here, I think I need to find something a little more organized.

Originally chose Dr. Frankel because she was well-regarded in the medical community. But my experience was one of very rushed skin checks, with many places completely overlooked. No dermatologist worth their salt would skip checking so many areas - especially when the person previously had dysplastic nevi. I gave an additional star because the staff are usually nice.

Joan Kessler

Deserves no stars! Used to be great doctor, now about the money. Horrible patient respect. Refused to fill out forms for patient. Office staff cancelled appointments. Avoid like the plague.

alishia .

I have been a patient of Stephanie for YEARS now. I actually had to track her down from North Main Street. (she is THAT good) As most of her patients say. I really can't say enough about Stephanie. She takes the time you need to express all of your concerns, she addresses them all. Her personality is out of this world, caring, personable she's just a beautiful woman all together. Thank you for all you do for me Stephanie.

I was very unhappy with my experience here. The wait was always very lengthy, as they overbook and schedule appts every 10 or 15 minutes. I have a ton of moles on my skin and Dr. Frankel examined me in about 30 seconds. She never even had me get off the table to look at the back of my legs, nor did she check my scalp. She didn't even examine any moles with a magnifying glass. My concern is that I could have had a malignancy or pre-malignancy and she would have completely missed it. I switched practices after about 2-3 visits here that were all equally bad and I am much happier. My current dermatologist takes much more time with me and actually examines all of my skin.

Its a waste of time and money. Dr. Frankel or her staff do not make any effort at getting children at ease. Dr. Frankel is so much in love with her keyboard that she is just busy typing and does not even maintain eye contact with you. She is in such a rush that before you finish asking a question she has the answer ready and its the same answer for all the questions without examining. I am never ever going there.

Greg Stascavage

Horrible service. Not a friendly environment. Good luck.........

Marcus Montoya

If a zero was the option it would be a zero. This woman is nasty, not in touch with her patients, thinks she is above everyone and has the worst halitosis, like something is dead, rotting in her mouth. When she leans in to a take a look at your face it is unbearable!

Mike Cola

The staff (including Dr. Frankel) are kind and courteous. The offices are clean and the wait isn't that bad for the amount of patients. Scheduling isn't an issue either. Ive been going to her for several months, and its been positive so far. Have a family history with acne, and what she prescribed has helped after we dialed in exactly what I needed. I do wish she was more thorough, however.

I once saw Dr. Frankel in 2004 as a young teen for a one time visit. Never followed up and "missed an appointment in 2005". Fast forward, 2017 Nov, I had placed a call to book a new patient appointment to see her for a normal skin check up because many people recommended her. So I took the next available appointment which was Feb 22 2017 at 2:20pm. I knew the wait was long but with the holidays around the corner I thought It would fly by, which it did. I went online and printed the new patient info packet and had it all filed out. I showed up at my appointment 20 minutes early and had all my paperwork ready, id, ins card, etc. The front desk could not find my appointment. Then finally I was told it was yesterday 2/21/18 and I had missed it. I was pissed because I patiently waited for this appointment. I was not able to reschedule the apt without paying "25 missed apt fee" I left and told them don't waste the paper bc I wont be paying bill. March 2018 my dad received my bill. WOW! Here I am 28 years old with my own damn insurance and my dad is getting my bill mailed to him. I called and spoke with the office manager what a joke.... anyways I will glady go to court for these matter. and I would not recommend this doctor or practice to anyone. 25$ is nothing but it is the point and if she can not waive the damn 25$ she is not a doctor I want to see.

We arrived home from vacation at 3:00am but still made arrangements to get our daughter to Dr. Frankel in keeping our appointment. When arriving we learned Dr. Frankel was not in the office! No phone call pre-notifying us, waited 2hrs to finally be seen by another. Rude, rude, rude office staff. Disrespectful Doctor - you just lost another patient. Now we know why her ratings on so low on Heathgrades, Yelp and here

Priyanka Baniya

Very rude and money minded Dr. I requested a test for my little one to confirm a diagnosis. Blood test was an option but she did a biopsy on my little one. Always in a rush and if you ask her any question she is sooooo rude and makes you feel dumb. Cause of her being money minded my little one has a scar now. They are closed Thurs thru weekend. I urgently needed a refill for my little one. No human can predict exact time and date of recurrence. When left a VM for refill she called and started shouting over the phone about her policy of NO refill on call. This policy never informed to me. So every refill go to her office pay the copay and get the refill. Not just that she asked my pharmacist to remind me of her office policy of NO refill on call and also asked the pharmacist to write a note on the medicines packet. REALLY??? All the docs i have been to have always made sure refills a priority and specially if u have to start it as soon as the symptom occur.

1st: They double-booked my appointment (but I’ve read in other reviews that this is a common occurrence). 2nd: Dr. Ellen Frankel was EXTREMELY rude, no eye-contact, no social skills, unprofessional, and unnecessarily blunt. I went in with a previously diagnosed cyst. She told me it’s not a cyst, but a large lipoma (fatty tumor) [with no explanation of what exactly a lipoma is] that will need to be removed by a surgeon because “scalps bleed a lot” and makes a “mess.” Honestly, I was horrified when I left. 3rd: When I expressed my concerns to Dr. Ellen Frankel in regards to scheduling an appointment with a surgeon, she was sarcastic in telling me that I won’t be getting it removed then, and had the nerve to offer prescription acne ointment. Spoiler Alert: I don’t have an acne problem. So thank you, Frankel, for the unnecessary insult. *To summarize: The only reason I don’t regret my appointment is because the surgeon’s card I chose was friendly, caring, knowledgeable, professional, and possibly the best surgeon in Rhode Island!!!

Would never recommend anyone to Dr. Frankel. Double books appointments, sits at her computer with her back to you the whole 5 minutes she's in the exam room, and talks poorly about her employees. I went to her for an issue with a fingernail for almost a year. Was told it was normal and would take time to grow out. Being a nurse I started to question her diagnosis, or lack thereof. It took one visit with another derm office to take a nail clipping and biopsy it. As I suspected it's a fungal infection, and can take up to a year to heal completely with an antifungal medication. Dr. Frankel is too concerned with plugging her own skin care lines to listen to patient concerns. DO NOT GO HERE

Best doctor in the world doctor frankel. I must say i love u. I never waited more than 15 minutes. These people that say they waited in your for an hour office are nuts. They should go to my eye doctor 2 hour wait. Thats nuts. I only wail an hour then i rescedule with him. Dr. Frankel knows her stuff and is a 10 star in my book.

If I could give no stars, I would. This place is a joke. Absolutely no organization or customer service at all. It's more like a factory, get them in.. get them out. Go ahead and complain to them about their lack of customer service and follow up, they couldn't care less. Do yourself a favor and GO ANYWHERE BUT HERE!
