I just took my 2 year old triplets in for their very 1st dental visit and this is the absolute best experience I have ever had with a dentist! The "waiting room" is a kids dream... play are with a slide and touch screen games, tricycles to ride, and blocks to build. Since this was their first visit, and well...triplets, I was nervous. The staff and dentist were so friendly/professional and included the girls in every single step. They have enough staff that they were able to treat all 3 girls individually at the same time so the visit didn't take forever. They were super thorough and informative about each individual child and really made me feel like I was some kind of rock star mom, which I have to admit, felt pretty great too. Bottom line... if you want a super easy and enjoyable visit at the dentist with your kids, this is where you should be going!

We love the Newtown Dentistry for kids! The office is so much fun and the kids love everyone there. It is one of their favorite places to go. Ms Lisa and Ms Helen are wonderful with both kids. Ms Helen does fabulously with out daughter and she has autism so she is often fearful of the dentist. Ms. Helen is so patient and calm! I HAVE SPOKEN TO A MALPRACTICE ATTORNEY AND AM IN THE PROCESS OF FILING A FORMAL COMPLIANT WITH THE PA DENTAL BOARD AND ASSOCIATION.... I took my daughter this "Dental office" at the end of January to fix 6 cavities as the reviews were good, Two weeks later we came back as my daughter was complaining of serious pain in one of the teeth that "Dr." Chris "fixed". We were told "this is NORMAL", and "maybe the filling is a bit high", so they just shaved a bit of the filling off, we left as we knew this was the place for us or our kids. Fast forward a few months, our daughter went for a tooth cleaning and the dentist told us some SHOCKING news! Not only were none of the cavities "fixed" (which we paid close to $3,000 for) but our FOUR year old daughter had an ABSCESS (infection caused by "Dr". Chris) in her mouth and one of the cavities that "Dr." Chris "fixed" needed to be surgically extracted because of the serious INFECTION that "Dr." Chris caused as well. We went back to the office for an explanation. We were told BY DR. CHRIS "There was a large cavity" AND "That was the best we could do" (we knew that was not true as we went to get a few opinions and the cavity was not that big). When we asked about the ABSCESS we were told (mind you this person calls herself a doctor) that we should just "leave it alone" and to "leave the tooth alone" (when we were told by 2 other dentists and our pediatrician that it needed to be extracted ASAP). During this visit I also found out why my daughter is TERRIFIED of even seeing the building when driving by. It turns out THEY DIDN'T even give my daughter an numbing agent when they HACKED away at her. At the end of the visit I was told by this so called "dentist" that "We are not really cavity fixers, we are just cavity prevention specialists" I was floored by "Dr." Chris's statement. It was very disappointing the way the office handled it, I understand things happen but the way they handled the situation and HURT my daughter is NOT right. AND TO TOP IT ALL OFF... I WAS CHARGED $197 FOR THE LAST VISIT WHEN I CAME IN FOR AN EXPLANATION. Thank god we found a true dentist who was able to truly fix "Dr." Chris's screw up's, I just wish that my baby didn't have to go through this. YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELF!

Wonderful office and people who work there are amazing but I was not told that they don't take insurance and I would have to pay up front before visit. I had to pay a little over 700 dollars for my office visit and my insurance only gave me less than 200. To say I am upset is an under statement. If you can afford it go here but don't be fooled like I was

We had an appointment for my daughter's first dental visit. I was nervous about the experience because I have a lot of dental anxiety myself, but they made this visit fun and exciting for my daughter. She is almost 2 years old, and they put her at ease from the moment we arrived. The office is fun, colorful and playful, and they engage the children during the cleaning and exam so nothing is scary or imposing. My daughter loved to "brush" the stuffed animal's teeth, and loved the pictures of her teeth. She mostly loved the prizes and balloon they gave her at the end :) Thank you to all of the staff for such a positive experience!

This was our first time taking our oldest daughter to a dentist. She tends to be very shy around new people until she warms up to them. She was definitely true to herself during this visit and was guarded at first, but it wasn't long before she warmed up due to the friendly atmosphere and gentle nature of the staff. Even the people at the desk checking us out were nice. The interior of the building with its park-like setting would make anyone feel at ease, particularly young kids who may need that small touch to help them relax. We'll definitely be returning and making this our dental home for our 3 children. Update 2/26/16 We were back again today for our 2 year old, and the experience was the same. This is a wonderful dental practice. You know they are doing something right when the 4 year old who came here 6 month ago also wanted to go to the dentist when she hear her 2 year old sister was going. We're so happy w/ Newtown Dentistry for Kids! My 6yro needed a filling & I wasn't comfortable w/ where we currently were taking him. We found these guys and it's big & fun. They all went out of their way to make my little guy feel at ease. They have all the newest gear & I'm confident he'll get the most up to date techniques. After 45 minutes in the chair he said he liked coming here. You read that right, a 6yro said he liked coming to the dentist. Before coming my big concern was my son would never sit still for a filing. He barely sits still for a haircut. Thankfully, it wasn't just my son they put at ease. They bushed w/ the power tool, scraped, flossed, & more each step of the way teaching him what it was & letting him try it out himself. I'm confident next week will be fine. He's in good hands. Plus, a little nitrous never hurt anybody. This is a large place w/ a large staff. I was able to get an appointment same day I called & a followup for the filling next week. That's really important. I tried a different dentist 1st & the best appointment I could get was over a month out. PS - While we were there a teen boy had just gotten his braces off. The staff had Smashmouth's Rockstar cranked up & they lined up w/ pom-poms to cheer him out the door. It was very cute.

I only gave Newtown Dentistry for kids 5 stars, because I wasn't able to give them more. This practice is excellent. They gave my 6 year old daughter so much time and attention. She always looks forward to going to the dentist which is something that I never grew up with. When you enter the building there is a large indoor treehouse and slide. You can tell that children will love this place right away. When you go back everything is painted and bright. She is given a toy puppet with teeth to clean and learn all about the importance of taking care of your teeth. They have comfy chairs for parents to sit on while having your visit. At the end not only does your child get a toothbrush, but also chapstick and three prizes to choose from. They also have all up to date technology so you know your child's teeth are well taken care off. We love Newtown Dentistry for kids!!

My son is just shy of 3 and we went to our first dentist appointment today. I can’t even begin to tell you how pleasant our experience was. Everyone I encountered was very sweet and welcoming. The approach to introducing my son to a dentist chair, camera, equipment was far beyond expectation! Joann who was our dental hygienist was phenomenal with my mom and also explaining everything to me. The treehouse playground was the perfect ending to our visit. My son definitely went down the slide at least 15 times! I am so grateful for this team who made dental care so fun for me and my son!

Such a great establishment! From the fun tree house in the waiting area to the simplist detail of using scented gloves and involving the kids in the dental cleaning. I recommend this office to all my friends. Ms Helen does an amazing job with both my 2 yo and 5 yo for the past year as their dental hygienist and dr Chris uses top dental technology to avoid us from having to do a cavity filling for my 5 yo’s molar. He had a small spot that they applied two applications (6 months interval each) topically on his tooth and was able to stop it from becoming a bigger cavity that would have required more intervention. My bill for each visit was approx. $400-500 but in the scheme of things, for us personally, it was worth every penny! So glad we live so close this amazing dental office!

It's expensive but you can't put a price tag on how comfortable and happy my kids are there. There really is no regret when your kids are actually excited to go to the dentist, and they enjoy their time and the whole process is so easy. Every single one of the staff are sweet as sugar (yeah, I said it), and yet so professional and great at making it a safe, comfortable setting for your kids. The facility is amazing and fun and bright and clean and lively. I'm just jealous I didn't get to go here as a kid.

Stuff is really personal and friendly, they know you and engage with you on very human level. Wonderful atmosphere, the space they have is magical. Not the service we expected. The most upsetting thing is I researched and chose this dentist that 50 min away bc of their mission statement and care for children. My son came in with two broken teeth. They did nothing except tell us they could do nothing charged us $150 and sent us on our way. We then went to Endodontics limited and they did two emergency root canals and were very professional, did great work. Gave us a clean bill to go back here to get two crowns put on. While in there they fixed the one tooth. Started work on the second tooth removed the filling and stared filing and then said they could not repair it because it was cracked. During the appointment my son asked to see his father and was denied. Not only denied but questioned as to why he wanted to see his father in which he responded he wanted him to know what was going on and make sure he was ok with it before they proceeded. Denied! Then she brought the X-rays out to the lobby to show my husband. She then suggested we go to the other dentist inside the building to get the tooth extracted. We don't want to lose a tooth we just spent a thousand dollars to save. She then released my son leaving a hole in his tooth with no protection and by the way never mentioned that so we didn't know until we got home he was left vulnerable bc we were told they didn't touch the 2nd tooth. When I called to ask what happened I was told that none of that was in the notes.l and what I was saying was not what happened. She told me that she did bring my husband in to show him the X-rays it was in the notes. I said no, she brought the X-rays out into the lobby. She said they don't do that, it's against their policy. I said well she did, Why would I lie? Check the expensive camera system you will see it for yourself. Also during the procedure dropped the tools on my sons face and cut him, that of course was not in the notes as well. And yes hours later he still has a bruise and cut on his face. Additionally she suggested to go to the dentist next door to extract it. Trying to make my husband extract a perfectly healthy root canal tooth that has been prepared for a crown. My husband went and spoke with them and they said he should go to a periodontist to repair the tooth. I'm I thought that's what we were doing but I guess it was a bigger job then expected. Very misleading and leads us to wonder why did you suggest removing the tooth in the first place. I am very disappointed that this office claims to be vey accommodating to family's and children, that is not true, an office that is accommodating would not refuse a 14 year old boy access to his father and would not leave a child vulnerable at the end of the appointment and not even tell the family what happened. Repeatedly on the phone I was told they did not touch that tooth but all I can say is the tooth had packing in it when we got there and a hole in it when he left, I guess the packing fell out magically on its own when no one was looking. If you were not capable of doing the work you should have just stated that and we would have made other arrangements. What a waste of time, money, energy and emotions. Also calling very upset to explain what happened and ask questions, I got no answers because no one was there that was in the room and the whole time I was told that I was wrong bc that's not what the notes said. she spoke over me the whole time not even listening or showing any compassion for the state my son was left in. I told her if this was her son she would be very upset and now I am left to figure out what to do at 5:30 at night with a hole in my sons tooth. Would have been nice if you actually showed compassion for the situation and had a calm voice instead of being annoyed at me for complaining, i had every right to complain and be upset at what happened but I guess protecting your integrity or lack their of is more important. Don't go here unless you love the dentist. Because if you are Looking for compassionate care you will find that's not in the notes.

The prices are fair and affordable and they have an awesome goodie bag! All around I had a great experience and I hope that I never move so that I don't have to change dentists!

I took my Daughter, Sofia, here today for a second opinion consult as her baby teeth haven't fallen out and her secondary teeth are coming in. She is normally a little nervous about her dental experience, but she LOVED Dr. Chris and the entire staff! They are wonderful, caring people! They explain each and every aspect of what they are doing and reward the kids for being brave, cooperating, etc... Dr. Chris gave Sofia the biggest hug and kiss on the forehead and told her how, "Awesome she was!" The staff truly care and want the kids to feel safe and not nervous. Yes, you have to pay upfront for their services, but to me, it's worth it as they have the latest technology and equipment and care so much for their "little patients!"

I’ve been going to this dentistry since I was only 18 months old. The staff are the most friendly caring people they could possibly be. I feel 100% at home here and I’m always excited to come back because I’ve been going for 20 years. They’ve seen me grow up and I absolutely love them. I got my wisdom teeth out 2 weeks ago too, and it couldn’t have gone better/ smoother/ easier with such a fast recovery period. They always have the best gifts after you get your teeth cleaned, I got a mini bottle of champagne and stuff!

This was our boys second visit, 27 months old. All the staff was very nice and gave my boys time to adjust. We had Joanne today, and the boys loved her! She made the visit easier for all of us. We are moving, but drive farther to go back to Newtown Dentistry for Kids.

This office is amazing!!!! They are not only a great staff, happy, smiling, positive, but they take care of special needs children. My daughter has cerebral palsy, and was seen for the first time there today. The staff acted like she was princess of the day! They easily got X-rays on my child who has never had any experience with X-rays in the past. She felt nothing but comfort during her entire visit! My other daughter was seen for Ortho and is also apprehensive about the dentist. She felt comfortable and confident in the staff who took care of her as well! Dr Chris is amazing and I now can't imagine taking them anywhere else!! Thank you ALL so much for making our family feel welcome and helping us find a new home for our daughters' dental care! THANK YOU!!!!

Best kid's dental care in the world. My son has no cavities, strong teeth, and healthy gums all because I took him here and made him follow their regimen. Plus the dental hygenists and the dentist were super patient with him because when he was younger he was skittish in the chair, but they were really nice about it and hung in there with him. I recently visited here with my 1.5 year old son for his first check up. The staff was unbelievable! The little touches, from the puppets, to the picture, to the flavored gloves were amazing. It helped My son with his first time and made it not so scary. I also felt like they were able to examine his teeth and make sure everything was healthy. The little prize bag we took home was great as well. Very happy we decided on Newtown Dentistry!

Positive environment for the children but lack of communication from the Doctor. My son has had the same cavity treated numerous times because of the filling falling out. Shaming me for this problem and I was asked by a hygienist if I wanted my son to die from this untreated tooth and his rapid tooth decay. Completely uncalled for. I was under the impression the tooth was treated and cauterized at the last visit. The treatment plan for his "rapid tooth decay" will be taken care of at another dentist. Two appointments will take care of his cavities and no fear of death imposed on me. I hope that this review may avoid another parent from having to feel the anxiety I felt. Brushing twice a day, flossing, xylitol toothpaste/baking soda treatments at home and dentist visits twice a year are what we have done since age 2 1/2 years old. When your made to feel like your neglecting your child, its time for a change.
