Due to changes in our insurance I needed to switch pediatrician offices. I requested for my children's medical records to be sent to the new office. I received a phone call to inform me that it would cost me $111 to receive a copy of my kids complete medical records. I can receive a free copy of their immunizations but that's it. I am appalled. I was a loyal patient to this office for the last 5 years. Always paid my bills and always kept my appointments. This has got to be one of the most absurd things I have ever heard. $111 is more than an office visit! I'm sad to leave such a terrible review (as we have had positive experiences) but unfortunately, this office has changed a lot over the last year and I would not say it has been for the better.

Can you leave a review with zero stars? I don't think I can post this without choosing a star, but if I could choose, I give NO stars for this place! I don't usually complain on the internet about places, but I have had enough and I am glad (and sad for other parents at the same time) to see I am far from the only one that had so many problems with this place. They didn't send us bills for our visits (though they claim they did) and right after my husband found out we owed them, he paid them and they still sent us a notice that they were no longer going to provide service to my daughter. I have since made multiple phone calls, to no avail, trying to obtain my daughter's records for our new pediatrician's office. The worst part is that I asked for her immunization records (half of which she received through the health department because we did not have insurance at the time she needed them) and their records were MISSING HER LAST ROUND OF SHOTS! Luckily I was more on top of things than they were so I contacted the health department for the information that they were too incompetent to obtain. I hope they get sued for malpractice! If I would have handed her new doctor the list of immunizations that THEY gave me, they could have put her in danger of being double dosed! Sickening......

My children have been patients here since they were born. My oldest is now 16 years old. The doctors are fantastic (hence 1 star), but I must agree with other reviewers and say that the office staff is awful! There has been a change in the last year or so, with the way the staff treats the patients and parents, and it is not for the better! Because my children have been patients here for so long, we have been putting up with it, but enough is enough! The staff is rude, can't communicate, and isn't helpful. If you have managed care, good luck getting referrals for specialists! The customer service is horrible and it's getting worse.

Love the hours, they can’t be beat and I wish my doctors office had half the hours. I like who they refer out to, if you need to see specialists. Its quite easy to get a sick visit. A decent amount of time is taken, you don’t feel like you’re being rushed. Very little wait time, when at an appointment. I’ve seen most of the Doctors & practitioners at this point. While I have favorites, there’s no one I really wouldn’t want to see. Basically I trust the whole medical staff with my children’s health. The nursing staff, medical assistants, etc. everyone is great.

To be completely honest, I'm surprised this place is still operating as a pediatricians office and hasn't been shut down yet. Only time will tell. Children deserve better.

Dr. Pepe is the best! He has a sports medicine background and diagnosed my sons issues many times by using that knowledge without the need of further testing. Love him!

My family loves it here. Doctor Toff is not only a breastfeeding expert and experienced physician but also knows you by your first name. He caught a misdiagnosis of torticollus with my youngest and provided me with the correct recommendation to treat his yeast infection, thereby preventing needless hours of occupational or physical therapy. I appreciate his expertise and his personal attention to detail. They also employ an amazing nursing staff and some wonderful Physician Assistants both Brandi Burns and Brian Pepe are wonderful. The rest of the staff, I haven't had enough experience with and that is the only reason I haven't recommended them by name. They have a children's dentist upstairs, an active breastfeeding group called milk and coffee, and a breastfeeding center.

The waiting at this facility is ridiculous. You can expect to wait an average of 30 minutes but yesterday I had a 4 month checkup for my son and even though our appointment time was 5:30 I didn't get out of there until 6:55. On top of that when I was there 2 months ago for a checkup with my son it turns out he had developed penile adhesions and the doctor acted like I wasn't cleaning my son right. I heard this was common with baby boys but she made me feel like a horrible parent.

This place is awful. Dr. Toff and Dr. Cohen are awful (Dr. Cohen especially). The office workers are awful. I don't know how many times I have told myself this, and yet still went back because of the convenience of the hours, especially when kids are sick, but there have been too many negative things recently to go back in good conscience. I am a college professor, yet still get talked at by the doctors like I am an uneducated fool. I ask questions about issues that arise to have my questions unanswered or blatantly ignored. My daughter's last visit, her 5 year visit, was especially rough because she was measured as obese. Believe me when I say she is skeletal. She is taller than 90% of kids and is 78% of weight, so she is proportional. Dr. Cohen handed me a script to get a fasting blood sugar and cholesterol for her. I refused to do it, and told the doctor she was ridiculous to her face because my daughter is clearly not overweight and is super active. Yesterday I got a call telling me that I needed to get the tests done. I'm totally appalled. This doctor wants to make my daughter anorexic or look like she came out of Auschwitz. Terrible practice! Please do yourself a favor and do not go!

I have been bringing my children to Children's Healthcare for over 5 years (since my oldest was born). My 5 year old daughter had a high fever beginning on a Sunday evening. She also developed a severe cough. I brought her into Children's Healthcare on Tuesday afternoon where we saw Dr. Linderman. She told me it wasn't strep or an ear infection, but wanted to test her for the flu (seemed like she was just guessing instead of doing any actual diagnosis, which has been my experience in the past as well). The flu test came back negative - not surprising at all, but now will be paying for that guess and check test. Dr. Linderman said she didn't like the way the cough sounded, but wanted to wait on getting a chest x-ray. Meanwhile, my child was spiking fevers up to 104.6 and was hallucinating. The next day, the cough was worse and fever still high, so we went for x-rays. They told us to go to one place, but they weren't in network, so I asked where else I should go. I was told to go where my insurance covers. I took my daughter to an x-ray facility and was told I could get results the next morning. CHC had the results that morning, but refused to release them to me because it "had to be Dr. Linderman who read the results and she wasn't in until 4." I called multiple times asking another doctor to read it or thought if Dr. Linderman was concerned, she would have told them to read it for her, but no. I got the call after 4 PM saying my daughter had upper left lobe pneumonia. CHC held off on diagnosing and prescribing medicine to my daughter. The delayed diagnosis made the pneumonia worse and we ended up in the ER that weekend. This review is extremely lengthy, but I felt the need to be clear in the details so anyone looking for a pediatrician can clearly see that this is not a place that cares about their patients or providing quality care. My daughter missed 7 days of school because she was not diagnosed and cared for in a timely manner. This practice does not care about children. They are solely concerned with turning a profit. We have switched to a new pediatrician and CHC was truly awful with releasing the medical records. The medical and office staff are truly horrible and should be ashamed.

I have been going to this practice for 8+ years. There are times when the service is outstanding and other times where I am appalled at the customer service. Today is one of the days where I am appalled. Office hours for today are supposed to be until 7:00pm. I call for a sick visit and am told the doctor for tonight's hours is on vacation therefor there are NO evening hours. She asks if there is "someone else" who can bring my child to the office during the day. I should have asked if there was "someone else" who could cover for the doctor! This is the second time I have requested an evening appointment and been told there are no appointments available. I will take my sick child to Patient First where I will be in and out in 45 minutes with the medication I need.

Bathe your kids as soon as you get home!!!! These people lie lie lie lie they are irresponsible and will not remain faithful to you as to providing you with records from your child. Please I beg you ... that this doesn't happen to you... get a record of what was done immediately ... in fact don't leave until they give it to you. Because if not later on you will find that they are with holding records for payment ALREADY made! Yes, that's right. They lose you on the computer! If you are trusting these doctors to follow an oath they will say that's not us... that's billing and records... Please if you attend here WATCH OUT... look at the place ... it is only $$$$$$$$ It's despicable using children's care like that.. God be with you that attend.

We selected Children's Healthcare for our new daughter due to several recommendations from doctors and friends. We have had a very good experience in the three months our little one has been a patient. I have found they are very patient with questions, especially at the first visit. I also take advantage of the breastfeeding resources, which are fantastic. We are so lucky to have a center like that here! Several of the doctors are certified lactation consultants and I found that to be very helpful in the first days and weeks with our new baby. We are also very grateful for the ability to call any time of day if we have a concern. They have done a wonderful job of caring for mother and baby. We have seen three different doctors and while we certainly have a favorite, they have all been great!

The doctors are great but the office staff is terrible. If you're late you need to reschedule but they'll keep you waiting at least half an hour. I moved my kids to a family practice.

We have been to several pediatricians before finding this office and I could not be more relieved than I am now . They are amazing and very helpful. My daughter has had medical issues most of her life and she just about gave up on the medical community before becoming a patient here . For the first time in her 9 years I know I don’t have to worry and coordinate doctors because their staff handles it all. Now when she doesn’t feel well I have more time to cuddle with her and when she feels well we have more time to laugh and play. They are compassionate and caring and who you should want to care for the most precious people in your life. Their physician assistant , Mrs. Burns, and Dr. Kauffman are truly the most caring people who will ever meet and my kids love them !

My children have been patients of Childrens Heatlh Care for 16 years. I have always loved all the staff and every doctor there. Although the past few years I feel like I take my kids to urgent care more then there pediatrician office. I can never get a sick appointment, ever. They don't even ask why I need to come in. I feel like they just don't even care anymore. Very upsetting.

Best pediatrician office ever! The Dr's, PA's, Nurse practitioners and nurses are all amazing and truly care for your child! They have been caring for my daughter since birth, aside from two horrible visits to LVHN Pediatrics, shortly after her birth, and with those horrible visits, I left and ran back to children's healthcare and they took us in with open arms! I had issues breastfeeding, the support I received was unpresidented! I love them and will never change, and tell all of my friends and family how amazing this place is! It is most certainly NOT a money mill, not by a long shot!!! They are like family, and treat us and our children like we are family, and we love them like family!

This place is the worst. Not only are the staff totally unprofessional, but the billing department is uncoordinated. No one there seems to know how to do their job. None of the doctors are on the same page. From the time our son was born, to the time of his 3-month checkup, he had seen the CHC doctors roughly a dozen times. (He had jaundice and had to go back every few days after he was born for followups.) Every time he saw a different doctor, they gave different diagnoses and a different care plan. We had no idea what to actually do, because every doctor was telling us something different. The worst offender, however, was Dr. Toff. When we took our son for his 3-month checkup, we asked the doctor about transitioning from formula to baby food - when we should start and how we should go about introducing it into his diet. Instead of giving us an actual answer, he pulled up a book on his laptop on Amazon and told us to go buy the book. Seriously??? You're the doctor. It is LITERALLY your job to tell us this stuff, but instead you just tell us to go read a book instead? Needless to say, we switched to a different practice that afternoon.

Love, love, love this practice. They have been seeing my son since he was in the NICU in 2004. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Toff, Dr. Strassman and Mr. Pepe. They truly know your child, take time with you as a parent and explain what is happening in language that is appropriate for your child to understand. This is not a money mill but a group of caring doctors, nurses and PA's.

I have been going here for 7 years and I only have 1 small issue. The staff is pleasant enough and the NP we see is fabulous so I would wait the semi long length of time to see her but there are some providers that I am not fond of but that is personal preference. The only issue I have is the increase charge to be seen out of regular business hours or to call a on- call provider. I will continue to use this office but I am very cautious about those emergency appts when there is a Urgent care on every corner to use that can be used if needed and atleast with my insurance for no larger of a amount of money.

We have taken our four children here since the oldest was born 11 years ago. The medical staff here is one of the best you’ll find in Lehigh County in my opinion. Dr. Toff and Dr. Cohen have been practicing for many years and have in-depth experience and knowledge in their field. Most of the negative reviews on here pertain to their front desk staff. I’ve never had a major problem with any issues. There have been a couple minor billing questions, but you get these anywhere (especially at places like Lehigh Valley Hospital or Coordinated Health!) in 2018. The staff here is more than willing to resubmit billing questions with updated codes when errors are made, etc. They should probably think about charging less (or nothing) for transferring records... but the major thing you should look at when selecting medical care for your children is, do they have solid doctors and physician assistants working there? Children’s Healthcare is excellent and their weekend sick hours are a rarity as well! We would highly recommend them!

Too much inconvenience when releasing medical record, they ask for a driver license notarized and their fax machine is not operating to standard. Sent a copy via fax and paid $6 for notary and fax and found it was not clear. They have no email and can't accept documents through that means. I recommend no one to go to this place they are there to make business when releasing medical records. May God curse them!!!!!

The doctors in this office are responsible for saving my neurological development. We had switched from another local office right before I suffered from major neuro changes, and thank goodness. The doctors were able to get me the care I needed, as they have all the necessary contacts to do so. Dr. Toff started treatment and had me to specialists within days of the onset of the symptoms.
