Dr Sennett took the time to carefully go over my mri with me; he explained the images and the damage in my knee and compared them with pictures of what an intact knee should look like. Finally I could see and understand — not just be told — what I had been experiencing for 10+ years. (Daily pain from a torn meniscus.) I had been through several doctors over those 10 years who neglected to do an mri of my knee, they kept telling me nothing was wrong with my knee after only taking exrays...one doctor even suggested my pain was psychosomatic! Last year when an mri was finally ordered by my new family doctor, a surgeon from another hospital looked at the results out in the hallway, came into the exam room and decided for me that I should just live with the pain rather than have my knee repaired. So you can understand my joy and relief when I found Dr Sennett, and he included me in the process of seeing and understanding my injury. The surgical procedure was thoroughly explained, and I was part of the decision making about if, when, and how to proceed. Not once did I feel talked down to by anyone in Dr Sennett’s office. Dr Sennett listened to me and considered what I had to say, and treated me with courtesy and respect. The entire staff at Penn Medicine and Surgical Center was professional at every step, from initial phone call to all of my appointments, treatment, and surgery. I’ve seldom seen in any doctors office or hospital the friendliness and genuine caring, patience, and willingness to connect with their patients. I’ve had multiple post surgery follow up calls to check in and see how I am feeling, and to answer a survey about my experience, because they are always striving to make improvements by listening to their patients. A+++ Need I say more? I highly recommend Dr Sennett and Penn Medicine!
