My daughter does not do well at the doctor's office and her pediatrician is very understanding and takes as much time that is needed to help my daughter. They have seen us on the weekends with no issues and we never feel rushed. I also really like the advice nurse's line, they are very informative and they don't tell us to come in with every call. I love their office hours, which include weekends and parking has never been an issue. I even appreciate all of the lobby seating options because for breastfeeding it is nice to have discreet places against walls, in corners, etc...

This office is terrible. They're very very slow. The only good thing about it is the pediatricians. The nurses are terrible, and they're the ones we are supposed to trust with giving our children vaccines. I overheard our pediatrician, Dr Rydell, telling the nurses to get to work and that a four year old has been waiting a long time for his vaccines. Sounds crazy right? Well imagine being that parent waiting in your room for over 30 minutes just to have your child more upset because he has to wait very long for vaccines, just to make him more upset. You can hear everything in your room which is not pleasant. The only reason we switched pediatrics was because ours moved out of state. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

Our family loves Dr Moore! Not only does she remember my children and things going on in their lives from appointment to appointment but she remembers things about my husband and I as well that my own doctors don’t remember. We saw her at the mall once and she stopped to chat with us, and remembered who we were. Dr Moore is kind and validates my feelings and my concerns without making me feel like I’m overreacting especially when we went to her with concerns about hyperactivity in one of my children. She is very knowledgeable and provides clear care plans for my children. I could go on and on about all my positive and wonderful experiences with Dr Moore and this office.

Our family has never been more taken care of. They caught both of my youngest autism quickly, and have allowed us to do group appoinments for all 3 of kids. They are quick to find and share resources, and the mural in the office makes waiting bearable. If you are looking for a thorough and all inclusive pediatrician, Metro should be a consideration.

I’ve been taking my FOUR boys to Dr Weill specifically for over 6 years. EVERY Dr in this office is professional, trustworthy, very educated and well trained! I’ve been to other out of state and in state pediatric offices and now being at Metropolitan Pediatrics, I will never go any where else. What I love, is they are always on time with my appointments; even when I’m the one showing up right at my children’s appointment time (4 boys, run a business, crazy mom life, #ithappens), they are still on time with the appointment! The nurses are as thurough as they need to be with super great attention to my children. When the doctor comes in, he listens to me and my concerns. He listens to my children and their concerns and then has an answer for me. Dr Weill specifically is such a genious in his profession, I never have to question or second guess his judgement call on my children!! It’s wondeful and such piece of mind!!! Bring your children here and start a long journey of health and piece of mind with Metropolitan Pediatrics. (I sound like I just wrote their add). I love this clinic! All if the people are so nice and so helpful from the people that answer the phone, the medical assistants and the doctors! We see Dr. Chavis and I couldn't ask for anyone better! He is so helpful, kind and you can see that he truly loves his job. These guys are so fast to be on the phone, return your phone call, get forms filled out and faxed back. My daughter had an infection on her skin and we spent about $500 seeing several different doctors at the metropolitan pediatrics and none of them were able to find a solution for this infection. Over my 7years experience with this center I found their service to be pretty much useless.

We have had an okay experience here at Metropolitan Pediatrics. I was a patient for 10 years, received excellent care, and had no doubt in my mind that it was where I wanted to take my son after he was born. The pediatrician I used to see unfortunately had passed away before he was born so I decided to schedule an appointment with another seasoned, highly recommended doctor. While the pediatrician interacted very well with my son, I feel like we had a personality clash and were not on the same page with parenting styles. It bothered me that instead of working with how our family was doing things, she made me feel like I was doing things was compeltely "wrong". At both my 4 and 6 month old visits, I was presented with out of date information. For the topics addressed in my appointments, I have researched and am knowledgeable on the current American Academy of Pediatrics recommendations. It is concerning to me that I was receiving information that is no longer supported by the current evidence based practices. Needless to say, we have scheduled our next appointment with a different pediatrician in the same office, in hopes that things will go better from here on out. I would recommend that other parents know the current recommendations and guidelines topics they feel to be important before they walk through the doors.

I love the doctors. I have no complaints there and if it wasn’t for the fact that we LOVE our pediatrician, I would find care elsewhere. The administrative staff needs to get it together. Over the last year I have had to reschedule many appointments because they got their scheduling mixed up. I showed up one day for a flu shot clinic appointment to find out that they had closed the office early and never notified me. This last time I called and made an appointment one day before. Showed up to my daughter’s appointment, and they had given the appointment to another child on accident and made me wait until another appointment was available to be seen. It was OUR appointment. I should have been the one to get the appointment. I drive 45 minutes one way to get to the Beaverton office and being told I am going to have to wait around all day for another appointment is ridiculous when I also have to go to work.

I went to Metropolitan Pediatrics for the first time yesterday and had the pleasure of working with the NP Sherrie Sweeney and the Social Worker Chelsea Kaye who were both very attentive and addressed my concerns with my daughter with respect and professional compassion. Receptionists at west side office are TERRIBLE. They are very unprofessional and sometimes rude. My wife called several times for flu shot appointments and she had very unpleasant experiences every time she called. Receptionists answered her questions with "What?" multiple times with a very unpleasant voice/tone and she even gave her a false information as she did not tell my wife that they have a mist version of flu shot. My wife called Portland office and found out that westside have mist version of flu shot. When Portland office re-directed a call to Westside office, that was when they told my wife that they have a flu shot (mist) available. For more than a month, my wife tried to get a flu shot appointment and they treated my wife in a very unprofessional way and did not provide a correct information. My family had been a customer of Metropolitan for the last 9 years and we are CHANGING pediatrician office and willl NEVER recommend Metropolitan to friends/family.

Our pediatrician is awesome, but when we need to see someone else due to scheduling, the other doctors and nurse practitioners are all just as amazing! They are so engaging and collaborative I’m constantly pinching myself to see if it’s a dream. We moved clear across the country and had to start all over finding new healthcare providers. That is such a daunting taste. Since day 1 I have never regretted choosing Metropolitan Pediatrics. From reception to nurses to doctors to PAs they have been organized, on the same page and proactive. They look at my children’s health from an overall approach taking into consideration not only medical but emotional and psychological approach. They tried my child as a whole. I can’t move until they’re adults.

Being a nurse myself I am very particular about the way things are done with my children. We’ve been taking our 3 children who are now ages 6, 7 and 19, to MP for over a decade now. The waiting room is always clean and wonderfully decorated, and has stuff like books and play tables for the kids to entertain themselves. They especially love the salt water fish tank. We've always felt welcomed by the staff, never had any issues with scheduling appointments, and thought they were on top of all the admin stuff. We love his Pediatrician Dr. Rydell and remember being so excited to see her at the hospital when our two youngest were born. We feel like she cares about not only our kids but also his parents. She’s patient and kind, honest, knowledgeable and very thorough. The very few times she wasn’t available, or our children had to see another doctor for another reason, they were also great. We highly recommended this place and their physicians!

I’ve been there several times and wasn’t that fun. Receptionist rude and the doctor was blah Last 2 times was awesome everyone up front was nice and kind and doctor Sherryl was awesome. I really disliked our last pediatrician so I did my homework and found Dr Beau Weill at this location (which by the way was listed in the top 5 in PDX Parent magazine) and I am so glad I switched! DR Beau and everyone I have encountered has been so pleasant to work with. DR Beau really listens and treats my son so well he loves to go to his appointments! Dr Beau also made me realize some things I guess I had gotten used to and didn't know could be a problem. He didn't make me feel like a bad parent but instead reassured me most parents do get used to their kids behaviors and I left feeling better informed. I highly recommend this place and our DR!

Had our one month check up at metropolitan and it’s in a very convenient location right off the highway next to the gym. Everyone was very friendly and they had a pretty large clean waiting area. Everything was great other than when the appointment was done they kind of left us hanging there. They didn’t tell us we were good to go so we were waiting probably 30-40 minutes for no reason wondering when they were going to come back. Had to ask my bf to peek his head out and ask if there was anything left they needed to check up on and she’s completely forgot about us.... we were there from 9:30 to almost 12! This kind of annoyed us since we had to go back to work... next time I guess I’ll ask if they’re done with us

Had a wonderful experience here. We just moved to Portland from the east coast and its been a huge adjustment for our family. From the moment we walked in we were greeted by friendly staff and had fun finding images on their big mural. The nurses and doctors were very friendly, and the doctor we had focused on the entire child, mental and physical and were so thorough, we felt like the only patient in the building. Cannot speak more highly of this practice.

Dr. Murdick was absolutely wonderful. My son had experienced a painful condition for over 5 years. Our previous pediatrician had told us he would outgrow it. We finally switched doctors after so many YEARS of frustration. Within a few minutes of our visit, Dr. Murdick noticed, diagnosed his condition and referred us to a specialist. She then spent another 40 MINUTES with us. I've never had such an attentive experience from a doctor before! I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Murdick! She is amazing.

All my kids, 3 of'em, were the patients at Metropolitan Pediatrics since birth. The staffs are great and the doctors are fantastic. Due to insurance change, we had to look for a new doctors. However, we were able to a new doctor at MP for my 2nd child who has ASD. The new doctor was patience to listen to my boy and answered/replied to all his questions.

I have always been appreciative of the medical staff, and reception staff over the last 16 years as a parent with three boys who see Dr. Moshofsky and other great capable physicians in the practice. There have been a couple of small errors recently in the past year that I am definitely not used to. One is a gap in communication between whoever is giving my messages to the physician and then returning messages giving me the false sense of security that everyone is on the same page when in fact we were not. The other was more recent when reception charged a copay for $30.00, and the our bank account was actually charged $3'000 causing my bank to put a fraud alert on my card. It was corrected very quickly but just an oversight that I am not used to Metropolitan Pediatrics having occur. Otherwise in all other aspects my husband and I and our children have very much appreciated being apart of the metro peds family. And look forward to our kiddos from oldest to youngest growing to adulthood with your Clinic.

My son had his first appointment at Metropolitan Pediatrics, last week. The staff was friendly and helpful and we were seen in a timely manner. Dr. Chavis was very personable, thoughtful, attentive and thorough, while completing my son's exam. He took the time to draw a picture for my son, using colored markers, to help him understand his injury. After my son's exam, we were in the parking lot, not realizing we had left without the printout for our visit and Dr. Chavis had one of his staff bring us back to the lobby, so he could give us the printout personally and say goodbye. Who does that? What doctor comes out to the lobby to say, "goodbye, nice to see you" and give you your paperwork? Clone him. Thanks! We'll be back. (Hopefully, not too soon.

We love Metro Pediatrics! Selecting a Doctor and clinic as new parents isn’t always easy, so we asked around before choosing Metro Pediatrics, and are so happy that we did! Our son ended up being in the NICU for 2 weeks, and then admitted into Randall Children’s Hospital for a high fever when he was 2 months old. More recently, he has had 2 ear infections, in which we requested last minute appointments. Every time we call the office, the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. We live near the Westside location, which is open later many days and is also open on both Saturday and Sunday! The office is nice, the staff listens, and the doctors care! Being able to trust that our son is getting excellent care often times with short notice is very comforting to us. We would recommend Metro Pediatrics as a whole, but more specifically the Westside location located in Beaverton.

My kids have been going to the same doctor for 9 years we started with him at OHSU and followed him to metropolitan pediatrics. We absolutely love seeing him and all my kids enjoy going to the doctor even if they are getting shots. Thanks for being such an amazing doctor for our family.

Dr Moshofsky and nurse Sweeney are both incredibly considerate and observant. They take time to really listen to patient and parent. They explain to kids the importance of doing things to maintain health, such as brushing teeth and eating vegetables, in a way that impresses them to actually comply much more than they would for just the parent! We have really appreciated working with such a great medical team.
