Called to make an appointment for my husband due to a sleep disturbance widely classified medically as a Parasomnia, commonly called night terrors. Told the receptionist what I was calling for and she snapped back, “We don't do that”. So I kindly asked if they referred out to a doctor who does, got a very rude and flat, “No” followed by dead air in response. This doctor is NOT A SLEEP SPECIALIST, he’s a Pulmonologist. If you have sleep apnea, he might be great. Although, since he claims to be a doctor in the field of sleep medicine but hasn’t trained his staff to know a little something about parasomnias, at least enough to kindly tell callers his office doesn’t deal with them, I highly doubt it. In contrast, I called Dr. Schwartz at Integris and they were very professional and knew exactly what my husband needed to be scheduled for, like a real doctor’s office practicing Sleep Medicine should.
