The waiting room is always full, takes hours to get to see the Doctor.

I had retinal laser eye surgery in my right eye in June 2014. And YES, he is all business, bedside manner missing, but you will not find a better, more competent more outstanding in his field that Dr. Nanda. Yes, he seems perhaps sterile and unmoved almost inadequate with emotions, but he is THE BEST in Oklahoma and the SW Region of the country. I have so much confidence in his skills with the laser that I am having him perform the same procedure on my other eye this month, So there you have it. He is young, good-looking, charming at cocktail parties, but Spartan-like in dealing with the patient and family. He loves his work and he loves helping people - he's just a little shy and uncomfortable with patients. 9 out of 10 ain't bad. Your eye results we be 11 out of 10.

My husband had cataract surgery im not. Happy with the way the doctor is if you question his work he gets pissed and treats you bad i pissed him off next he put my husband in a chair and starts pushing on his eye with a metal instrument not even sterile what kind of doctor has such a ego that he hurting people when he does not like what he hears well sorry doctor to tell you but you need to hear this you dont listen to your patience you overbook so your patience are waiting 2 and 3 hours to see you and you want to hurry in and out well that is not good i hope you paid your malpratice. insurance

I have found that in general most of the eye specialists I have seen don't have the best bedside manner that I'd prefer. However, Dr Nanda at least tells me what's happening with my eye. The other few I had gone to didn't even bother discussing my diagnosis or even prognosis of my eyes. My regular opthamologist scolded me for waiting so long to come in. He then asked his partner in the practice to come in and see my eyes. They were discussing about how bad this or that was but using terms I didn't understand. When I asked him what was going on I got an abbreviated version. This is what I like about Dr Nanda. He tells me what the diagnosis is and he's straightforward with his answers. I appreciate that. I had been referred to another specialist and when I saw him he didn't give me any explanation at all. My sister was with me and she said the same. I had to call over the weekend and was very blessed that Dr Nanda was on call for the other specialist. He took the time to listen to my issues on a Sunday morning and told me what to do and set up an appointment with him for the next morning bc he was still on call with the other Dr. Nope, he wasn't warm and fuzzy but he took the time he needed to and then he told me what was going on. I decided at that time that he was going to be my Dr. I've gone on other appointments that yes, he's in and out in 15 minutes but keep in mind how many patients were worked in because they needed care. Yes, sometimes I have to wait a while before being being seen but I haven't been to one eye Dr that I didn't have to wait. I would definitely recommend him.

Even if you are known to be a very skilled doctor, your patient care still needs to be a huge part of that. Making sure the patient understands treatment, next appointments, & what to expect after each treatment is crucial. Preempting patients of the time frame they are expected to be in the office prior to arriving to an appointment would be nice. It would be much better than being there 2-3 hours of your time (15 mins of the doctors) and no one being concerned or checking that you’re doing ok or at least saying sorry about the wait when seated or greeted by the doctor.

Kimberly Barksdale

Very good Dr. However, the office staff overbooks way too much. Be prepared to wait at least two and a half hours before being seen!

Mark Seefeldt

Our son had a severe eye injury and Dr. Nanda’s expertise saved his eye. He did emergency work after hours several times and couldn’t have been more accommodating. He is very professional and extremely compassionate too. We are from Houston and are still following up with him. He is highly skilled as an eye surgeon, caring and we highly recommend him.
