My husband had to have oral surgery to have 8 teeth total removed, 4 being his wisdom teeth. The receptionist Sarah was super nice and even called to see if our medical insurance would maybe cover the cost of the surgery. Dr Carlson and his nurses were great too. My husband had an easy recovery and Dr Carlson did a great job explaining everything to me to know how to help my husband recover. Id definitely recommend them.

Surgeon himself is okay. However, they need to work on their scheduling. We had to wait 1hr 45min before they even took my husband back. It was first thing in the morning so there was no excuse. They weren’t apologetic or anything. They acted like for every appointment they have to wait at least 30-45 minutes before being seen. Go somewhere else. You can find better.

Dr. Mendenhall is an amazing person who is also extremely kind and very concerned about his patients. I knew upon meeting him and his courteous staff that I was in good hands. My daughter has 3 wisdom teeth removed and they were awesome. Very kind to all of us. Took excellent care of her. She is diabetic and they watched her closely during and after the surgery. Best oral surgeon and staff anyone could ask for.

The doctor and wisdom teeth extraction was great, however post operation has been a terrible experience. I was left with a numb feeling on the left side of my face, which was prewarned. But every time I tried to call after surgery, if they did answer ( which is usually not very likely) I wouldn’t get any kind of answer unless I demanded one before hanging up because they also have a problem with saying they will call back and then never do. Don’t bother leaving a voicemail either, I left one a week ago after they answered, put me on hold, and then had me on hold for so long the phone rang and then went to voicemail. My numbness has turned into an extremely uncomfortable pain and they don’t seem to care at all. They want me to pay more money but have been extremely careless post operation. So glad that I shouldn’t have another reason to visit this place.

I had a severely abscessed tooth and had to come straight here from my dentist’s office because I needed emergency oral surgery to get it out. This was the best dental experience I have ever had! Every single person I encountered was over the top nice and just made me feel so comfortable. Dr. McGarry was awesome! He is incredibly thorough and really cares about your wellbeing. They let you know exactly what to expect during and after surgery. They are an amazing team!

I experienced miserable TMJ issues (locked jaw due to dislocated discs) for a year and a half. Dr. Mendenhall was awesome and so supportive throughout this unfortunate journey. Surgery went very smoothly and recovery was quick. My pain is gone and I can now open my jaw normally and eat comfortably. It’s been about two and a half months since my surgery and I feel 100%. I would recommend Dr. Mendenhall to anyone! And staff was very kind and helpful! -Chels Dr. Mendenhall was the first one through this year and a half journey that was able to help Chelsey and actually bring relief and hope to her situation. The pain was unbearable for her and it was hard to see her go through this. Dr. Mendenhall was an answer to prayer. We highly recommend him for anyone with any jaw issues and concerns. Very clean, upscale, professional, facility. Dr. McGarry and his staff took the time to answer all my questions about what I thought was a very scary procedure. He was very calm and reassuring about my dental surgery and eased my fears. Told me how much out of pocket expenses I was going to have before the first part of the procedure. Would go back to OKC-OMS again. No question.

The staff was very friendly and professional in the prep work prior to the oral surgery. Dr. Miyake explained the process very clearly so I understood what was going to be done as well as how to handle post-op care I had an implant put in and there was little pain and no swelling after surgery. Dr. Miyake is an excellent oral surgeon who provides outstanding medical services in a caring and supportive environment.

Dr. Carlson has done extractions and implants for me over a two-year period. I found the entire staff at OKC OMS to be very professional, very capable and extremely caring. Today (a Friday) I woke up with an excruciating tooth ache. I called the office at 8:30 am. They fit me into their busy schedule and I was in the recovery room at 11:30 am after a successful extraction. Dr. Carlson and all the people at OKC OMS are the best!

Cindy, who takes care of filing information to insurance companies, was so helpful and guided us throughout the whole process. I am pain free now. I came here on the 28th of November to get my wisdom teeth out after a referral....they did a FANTASTIC job! Everyone, from Dr. Carlson himself to the hygienists and receptionists were wonderfully friendly and welcoming, and the procedure itself went perfectly. In and out within the hour, and both pain and swelling are completely nonexistent. I highly recommend anyone needing oral surgery to come here!

This oral surgeon and his front desk staff are cold and callous people. After having my initial consultation and my surgery date set, I was ready to go, at the last minute, I had to cancel because they refused surgery to me. The reason? Because I don't have anybody to select as my personal driver, I don't have family, I don't have friends, I don't have anybody besides an Uber to take me to my surgery, so, they coldly, and callously denied my access to medical care. They didn't offer me options, they didn't try to work with me, I was told I had the right to go somewhere else. I hope somebody sues people like them. A win at the supreme court level would set a precedent for patients rights preventing the denial of care.

Dr. Carlson and his staff are so nice and very caring. From the moment we walked in they were very professional and very knowledgeable. We were referred by my 10 year olds dentist Dr Courtney Housely and they treated us like we were family. They were consistent. On time. They were informative. And they were very personable. My daughter was very nervous as she was getting 6 teeth pulled at 1 time. But Dr Carlson and his nurse ensured she was really comfortable and made her feel at ease and that she didn't feel a thing. My daughter was so happy. Dr Carlson himself even called from his personal cell phone and checked on my daughter 2 days after her surgery. Usually I get calls from a doctors staff member following up on the patient. But this was a first. My husband and I were very impressed!!! I highly recommend Dr Carlson. He is the best!!!

Completely a waste of time and gas ... The entire process was a pain in the butt ... The front desk girl never reached by out to me I had to reach back out to her , so There shows how unprofessional she is ... Said she was on vacation blah blah ... I was early to my appointment and still had to wait long time and three different people went in front of me that’s so unprofessional and I had my child with me ... I don’t recommend base on just sitting in the office...

I had nothing but good experiences with the north office! My son had oral surgery last Thursday by Dr. Jamison Metcalf and he was very nice and polite and really seemed to care about the well being of my son. He spoke to my 8 yr old every step of the way and explained everything he was doing to where he would understand. All of the staff was very helpful and friendly as well. They went above and beyond in my opinion! I would recommend this place to anyone that needs oral surgery.

Just got all four wisdom teeth take out yesterday and I am already recovering fast!!!! I thought it was going to be way worse then what it appeared to be. Peter Carlson did a very good job and knows what he is doing. The staff was organized and unbelevably kind. If you want to yank them out, then this is the place to go.

I would not recommend this place nor Dr. Carlson. My daughter was scheduled for surgery a week out so the Orthodontist and Dr. Carlson could chat about the course they would take. Either install a bracket or just expose the eye teeth on the roof of her mouth. The day before surgery, the Orthodontist let me know that the oral surgeon was just going to expose the teeth, on top of the 6 extractions they were to do in preparation for braces. This same day, the Yukon Maxillo-Facial Surgery called and confirmed the surgery and then stated they would be installing a bracket on the exposed eye teeth as well as the 6 extractions. I informed them that this was not what the Orthodontist has discussed with me minutes before hand and requested they call and clarify what they were suppose to do. She acted annoyed with me but followed through. I received a follow-up phone call with the clarified information and we arrived early for the appointment the next morning. My daughter went back as scheduled, the surgeon even placed the IV for my daughter as she was nervous. He had great bedside manner - but apparently lacks proper protocol as we discovered four days later. We went as a family to see the new Jurassic Park movie when my daughter informed me that she had a loose tooth. She was not suppose to have any baby teeth left - per the 6 extractions during surgery - and so I told her not to touch it as it was likely a permanent tooth, and that we would look when we got home. When I looked in her mouth, imagine my surprise when I discovered that only FIVE teeth had been extracted. I let her know it was a baby tooth and she felt better, but knowing that I had paid for 6 extractions including the 2 exposures left a sour taste in my mouth. I called the office the following day, Monday, and asked the gal what procedure was to be done on Thursday (after the fact). She confirmed 6 extractions and 2 exposures. I asked what the surgeons notes were regarding the surgery. She confirmed the same information. I then informed her that there were only 5 extractions done. She assured me that 6 were done, but she could schedule a follow-up appointment for us the next morning and then surgeon would then show me the extraction spots. While I have more medical and dental experience than most, it's not difficult for the average Joe to see where teeth used to be. We arrived at the follow-up appointment early, and were quickly ushered into a room - my feelings were to prevent my discussing the mishap with any other clients. While we waited in the room, I took photos in case he were to pull the tooth in question to prevent any issues arising and we waited. And waited, almost 15 minutes. Dr. Carlson finally came in the room, with proper bedside manner. He asked how we were doing, and then told me that he remembered my daughter and would show me where the teeth had come from. I smiled and said okay and joined him beside my daughter. And he began to count. 1, 2, 3 - he moved to the other side - 4, 5........ummmm.... and he kinda pushed a bit on her baby tooth, realizing it was loose and also that he had only counted to 5. He then said, "ummm, we can take care of that". I proceeded to tell him that "we would take care of it. I, will take care of it." He said okay, said his staff would be in to take care of it, hung his head and walked out, never looking at my face after that. I had to file an insurance fraud claim in order to receive my refund for the forgotten tooth and my insurance company is still waiting on their monies to be returned.
