I wish I had read more reviews on Dr Hannallah before I chose him as my choice to discuss surgery. After telling him that his colleague at a location I used to go to told me that nothing was going to help my issue EXCEPT surgery, and after seeing a physician at OSU who told me that I probably needed surgery since I had done physical therapy (twice), 2 spinal injections and cervical traction, this doctor told me that it would not help at all, that nothing would help me and it was part of getting older and I would just have to learn to live with the pain since I tried everything else.
That was like a slap in the face, and he said it in an insensitive way, because he obviously doesn't have any empathy. Im sure he was sick of me asking him questions and that was why.
He was very curt, impatient, kept interrupting me and a little condescending. He kept looking at his phone, which vibrated constantly during my consult. He did apologize, explaining that he was on-call, but he didn't have to LOOK at it the entire time he was in the room with me. He definitely made me feel rushed, even though I tried desperately to slow everything down so I wouldn't leave there confused, but he managed to get out ASAP.
I told my previous doctors that I didn't want surgery from the beginning of my problem 3 years ago but I had done everything possible and this was my last hope. You may be able to understand how crushed I was, mostly because of the way he talked to me. Otherwise I probably wouldn't be writing this review.
I have worked in the health care field for over twenty years and this is the kind of doctor I would hate to work with and avoid being around unless I have to be. I'm sure he's a fine surgeon, but don't go to see him with an expectation of a compassionate, caring bedside manner.
