The First words the NP said to me was “ your here because of the powers that be”! It went down hill from there. Never once, no not even close did she ever look at me. She read all the tests/therapies I had tried in last 12 years. As I was leaving she said as she was staring at the door/ “oh dang- he wants a physical - well, get on the table”. Checked my heart squeezed her fingers. And on her way out pointed to shelf said you can take a card. Hers wasn’t even up there so nurse got one for me so I could tell my Dr.
crazy thing- I cared for my daughter who was in critical ,morbidity state- Mayo had requested hospice. New Year’s Eve she wanted to attend church services. I got her ready - had to change her fentynal patch which required removing a clear bandaid similar to what’s placed over an IV - it is put onto a tape that is on her skin, as her skin was dying off and couldn’t be touched. Of course- had a pain test , and was told I was no longer Allowed pain mgmt . My Dr couldn’t believe it. As the test was extremely minimal.
For me I didn’t like the insinuation - especially considering my daughters medical status - which my PCM was aware of.
I would hope someone may care however what I got from NP OR PA in pain mgmt.
It comes from above— so doubt this will even be read. It’s ok. My strength comes from above- only nine listens
