This is BY FAR the best doctor's office I've ever been to! They keep their appointment times; I'm always in and out very quickly, and the staff is so polite and knowledgeable! Office is clean too!

There are a few very good doctors at Wilmington Health or I would give them one star. It is more like their patients are numbers than children. I started going there when my 17 year old was born. She was slow to walk and at about 17 months I took her in to see about it. They referred her to an Orthopedic and he diagnosed her with mild hemiplegic CP. She started PT and OT and the therapists were surprised at the mildness of it and asked was I sure about the diagnosis and I said she had never been seen a Neurologist. Upon my request we saw a Neurologist and he sent her for a test at the hospital and confirmed the diagnosis. My daughter has never had any special needs at school and most people are shocked to hear about her CP. Since driving is a right sided function and her CP affects the right side of her body I took her to see an expert in SC that evaluates drivers to see if they need any special medical equipment to drive. He said she is fine and just needs practice. Almost a year later she goes to the DMV and passes on her first attempt. After her road test I mentioned her CP and that shocked the lady that was working with her. She said she now needed a medical waiver. She said to just have her doctor sign off so we took it immediately to Wilmington Health Pediatrics. I told them about the evaluation in SC she had and they wanted it...after jumping through hoops to get it faxed to their office Erin Whitehead says that is not good enough for her and she wants my daughter to see a pediatric neurologist. Two experts in the area of driving feel my daughter is just fine to drive but this NP doesn’t see my daughter drive or even set up an appointment with her and gives her a referral. Why can’t people do their jobs? Wilmington Health Pediatrics never felt it necessary to send my daughter to a neurologist years ago or ask about her driving when she turned 15 but as a mother I take extra steps to make sure my daughter can safely drive and now they want to make me spend more time and money jumping through hoops. They don’t care about their patients only about money and referrals. I am very disappointed at this medical conglomerate. I called the manager who was rude and did not offer any help or remedy except to see a specialist. No more Wilmington Health for this family.
