My son and I got taken by ambulance to the ER after being sideswiped and dragged 200 ft by an 18-wheeler. They were great with both of us. My son is autistic so has problems communicating but they were gentle and patient with him. We were seen right away and put in beds aside each other. We had only minor scrapes and cuts but were assessed totally. I thank them for their wonderful care. My only complaint was with housekeeping. We were in the hallway near the ambulance entrance on stretchers, and right across from us 2 housekeepers were scrubbing plastic covered chairs with brushes and a very strong smelling disinfectant. It's nice to see the chairs get scrubbed, but I had a massive headache from a concussion and the smell and the noise were making it worse. I did not say anything because I was an RNC for 35 years and realize that sometimes people don't realize when something may bother a patient and they were just doing their jobs. I think the cleaning should have been done outside or in another area though. The smell was really strong.

My son was seen at a local Minute Clinic where we were advised to go somewhere ASAP to get a chest x-ray. We came here and I could not have been more pleased with the service we received. The receptionist, the triage nurse, the ED nurse, the respiratory therapist, the ED doctor - they were all amazing. Beyond happy with the service we received during our slightly critical visit.

Akela Nunn

My husband was called back as soon as we got there. Tom C. checked us in and was very friendly. Nurse Jenny and the Dr. were extremely helpful and thorough. I will refer anyone to this facility.

James Johnson

Brought my girlfriend her for throwing up blood Nd bad stomach pains. The Wait time is outrageous we was here goin on 3 hrs, 2 of them was spent in a room just waiting to be seen by a nurse. When I went to see what was taking so long all the nurses were on there phones looking at chat sites laughing and goofing off. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. Please review your staff and their conduct.

Grayson Furlough

Came for a regular check-up and everything went smoothly! Reception was welcoming enough and Dr. English was superb. Good experience.

Lindsay Groves

WONDERFUL STAFF! Very knowledgeable and efficient! Will always go here for any emergency situations.

I will never return to this hospital. I would rather go to Johnston Memorial than this wake Med. I have never heard of such poor service. They hardly took care of my family member, she left in tears from pain. I went to complain to the front staff and to receive a number I could complain to and they could have cared less. They were almost laughing at me when I was showed up. Yes I was not nice, but they could have shown some concern. If you can not provide heath care then you should not call yourself a health care provider. Good service is definitely worth the gas when you are in pain.....

The staff was kind, compassionate and worked as a team. It is very busy but everyone was clearly working together. The department was very clean and smelled good. I felt very safe with the kind officer in the front. The ER is amazing!

My daughter had the coolest nurse. She was very pleasant and funny. The Doc got right to the point and was very nice.

Presented at the E.R.with lower stomach and back pain a fever and nausea. Promptly, taken back for vitals and like a 10 minute wait to go back to a bed. I was pretty sure I had diverticulitis (ive had it before) and I told them. Christina my nurse, was awesome. Then the awesomeness stopped. The P.A. saw me first, she was a loud, know better than you arrogant thing. I had a C.T. scan. I had a diagnosis of diverticulitis. I explained to p.a. and the Dr that I have a history with it and not able to take the medicine. The Dr. Was an even better louder talker (guess he had more training) shout over you type than the p.a. He urged me to take the medicine that I knew would make me throw up so I could throw up in front of him. I said no thanks,I feel bad enough already. I asked for 1 ASPIRIN. They said that my pain would be relieved by my antibiotic. They behaved like an aspirin was a career ending decision for them and said no. The bottom line was I wasnt gonna ne admitted to a hospital to have I.V. antibiotics. So I left. 10 minutes down the road the house supervisor calls and says, since you didn't take your prescriptions we called them in. I once again reminded her they make me throw up. She immediately said... Are you a drinker?because when you drink on those medicines they make you sick. I was flabbergasted... We are all NOT drug addicts and alcoholics. Some of us (me) are law enforcement who work on the state level. And if we spoke to a member of the public like these people did me it would be a potential career ending issue. Some how the person I was with accidently turned her recorder on and got most of the interactions. Btw, my fever is back and worse than ever. I'm now throwing up and have to go to a reputable e.r. and get help. Another 500 dollars (minimum) down the drain. Drive 10 minutes more. It may save your life, some of these people feel entitled to treat you with indifference. What ever happened to empathy and the standard of care? Update! I went to a neighborung E.R. and have been admitted. The flippant attitude of the e.r. doctors coupd be disastrous.

I received excellent care during my emergency room visit.

Foxette V

They are ALWAYS kind to me and trust me I see these people A LOT with all my health troubles. There is a rare occasion when I will be met with a very rude nurse but usually everyone is kind and attentive and concerned for your well being

Renee Champion

This hospital is the worst I've seen. The nurses there were unfriendly and had no bedside manner. The doctors aren't any better either. If you can't had a pleasant attitude at work, you're better off staying at home.

My wife has been here with my son for 5 hours. I showed up reception was incredibly slow. Tons of others complaining of the same issues. We were warned of the horrible service here, but my son is sick and I thought maybe I should come here because it is closer than the one on New Bern. Bad idea. The people here are rude, slow and obviously not very caring. I never write reviews but I have to warn people against coming here. This place is a joke.

Rachelle

Worst emergency room, the same mess as New Bern ave. This place has no providers, the wait is awful, I am not sure how wake med think they can run an emergency room with only 1-2 providers and a bunch of nurses. They must think people in Garner has no life.

Happy Bird

My mother-in-law was sent there by her doctor. She was in a very poor condition, barely able to talk and when we asked what was wrong with her the doctor said "it's not my job to figure out what's wrong with her".Don't take your loved one here!

Chivonn Floyd

This place is terrible. I came in feeling like my throat was closing and still waiting to be seen 3 hours later and only to end up in a makeshift bed in a hall way!! Wtf

Best ER I have ever visited. Had to bring my son in as he was very ill and the local urgent care had done all they were capable of. From the comfortable environment in the lobby (nice chairs!!) to the helpful and friendly staff, they made what was a truly awful time better. I'm kinda floored that some of the comments were bad.....from the receptionist to the nurses to the DR, everyone was concerned and caring for my son and of me as well while I had to wait with him and we all worked together to try to figure out what was wrong. I would ask for more comfortable chairs though in the patient cubicles. Those things were AWFUL....pretty stiff and sore when I left there. But, the patient care given to my son was excellent and I would go there again if/when needed.

S H

Professional and competent - from physician, to nursing staff, imaging staff, front desk and team who transported my husband to Wake Med Raleigh. Thank you for everything.

Sam Brown

Incredibly slow service. They allowed my friend to writhe in pain for over an hour before even administering any kind of treatment. Would not recommend if you can go elsewhere.

Kenyarri M.

This was the worst hospital experience I have ever had and I have been to many unfortunately. I met with Dr. Aleksandra Avery yesterday and she was extremely condescending and rude and she spent the entire time mocking me instead of helping me. Im going through a weird time where my body is not normal... women issues due to a birth control shot that i had 3 years ago. I'm sad when I think about having to pay the bill because she literally didn't help me at all just tried to debate me on nonsense medical terms and talking down to me. What I did leave with was what I already knew. The whole appointment was awkward and me trying to defend myself. She really could have made me feel really low if I didn't know who I was as a person. The hospital really needs to do a better job at emphasizing compassion. For everyone else reading, you may want to run away from this hospital and just find another...and you know, actually get help.

Lena Chamra

My Dad was visiting from out of town had to take my Dad to ER. We arrived and the whole experience was truly amazing. Lori the charge nurse was awesome! Michael the nurse Dr.Pushcak just awesome! Very clean and professional from the minute we walked in! Hopefully limited visits, but great to know it’s a great experience! Karen Weaver you have an amazing staff! Thank you so so much!

Came for the physician exam with family doctor, he was very nice. Nurse and receptionist also very nice too, even helps me to call insurance to verify co-pay. Kim works at ultrasound is super nice too.

Been here for 3 years and have yet to be seen and I'm 8 months pregnant. I have seen several people go to the back and quite a few come out. I ask the receptionist could I speak go the nurse in charge due to my pain and complications. She comes out and says shes working with everyone on the floor but smelled like a whole carton of cigarettes. Then she says she can put me in the hall where I can sit for 2-3 hours til she can get to me. Like I dont have a emergency..... all the nurses keep walking out lounging around and I just feel like they are so careless.... I will be contacting corporate and reporting this location. They dont get the emergency part of the actual emergency room.

Scott Stanley

Terribly racist staff.I overheard nurse and doctor talking.doctor had arrogent additude.and the nurse wasn't no better.don't go to this hospital if your white.

My son received excellent care here when he was injured. I was also seen here after an automobile accident and received excellent care. I am very confident with the staff’s performance here. They are kind, caring and compassionate people.

Aaron Reaper

This place is a joke... My fiance has come here a few times. It's the same crap every time. They don't care. Your just a number to them. I would rather die than go to wake med.. Save your own life and go somewhere else..

Lacy Veltmann

UPDATE: I set up a payment plan with them because I couldn't pay the full balance at one time. Got home last night to a letter from their collection agency. So they sent me to collections while I was paying on my bill...this is undoubtedly the most unethical company I've ever encountered. Should have checked reviews before scheduling here. Having just moved to Raleigh, I went for a New Patient appointment. I had a pleasant conversation with the nurse who wrote down everything I wanted to address with the Nurse Practitioner which was about four things. I ended up seeing the NP for maybe seven minutes. In that time, she addressed one thing, maybe 1.5 if I'm feeling generous. I told her how my ears had been in a fair amount of pain and that I kept waking up scratching them. Her response was to take an allergy pill daily, which I informed her I already do. Instead of suggesting I switch pills or anything else, she said, "Well, I don't see an issue, so just continue taking that pill." When I began to ask the other questions I had, she told me I'd need to come back and that this appt was just a "getting to know you". I wasn't thrilled, but I said ok and left. I received a bill for $297 and after speaking with my insurance company, it appears I had been charged for a "Moderate to Severe 45 min appt". I'm absolutely livid. So the NP can spend a whole seven minutes with me, not address my reason for being there, yet bill for a full appt? Ridiculous. I don't recommend this location at all.

I'm so glad Wake Med hospitals are NOT the only hospital system in Wake County or NC for that matter...I'm a NC native born and raised. Hell I was born at Wake Med in the 80s but how they run their ER is disgusting and a slap in the face to the patients that have to wait for nothing... If you're not having a heart attack never ever go to Wake Med....you'll waste your time. And the staff are rude and lazy...they spend more time talking about the patients, which is illegal than helping them. They should do better you have no idea who walks through those doors and/or who they may know...

I was rushed in around 430 5 because I couldn’t move to till over or sit up without being in extreme pain they took my vitals had me do several X-rays that they had to slide me on a board every where they wanted me came bk to the room the nurse asked if I could sit up to take the meds I said no so instead of trying to figure a different way to take them she force the bed up into sitting position with me screaming the entire time have me a pill and shot left me in the room for a hour then came bk to say that they were headed out I was being discharged asked me to bend my legs something I had no problem with before it was the muscles in my back that if I tried to move and they had pressure on them it would hur so bad I’d cry. She then proceeded to force the bed into sitting position like before I cringed at the pain but didn’t cry she said that’s better I’ll get the discharge papers I asked her if that was all they could do and she said yup and left I would appreciate it if the staff could be worked with to try and find the problem an take care of it like there supposed to rather than leaving me in the same condition as when I got here and expecting me to go home like this go to work and provide for my kids how am I supposed to do that if they don’t do their jobs

My arm was aching so bad I was unable to lay on my right side without crying from the excruciating pain. Since I live in Garner, my husband decided to take me to nearest emergency room at 1:40 AM. When we arrived, there was absolutely NO ONE was in the waiting room and the receptionist immediately took my information. The RN comes out and calls my name, takes me back, ask a series of questions all while chewing gum as though she did not care about me or my pain! Afterwards she led me into a room and informed me someone would be with me shortly. Another nurse came in ask the same questions, looked at my hands and told me they were not swollen and told me the doctor would be with me shortly. I sat in the room without being seen for 30 minutes. The catch to this is, I am a 45 year old pacemaker recipient and neither of the nurses seem to care and had no bed side manners. I finally left without been seen by the doctor. I would not recommend this facility to anyone. Rex is a better option.

I was rushed in the evening. HUGE kidney stone. They were fast and very friendly. I had as good of an experience as one could have with a quarter sized kidney stone.

Horrible, if you need urgent care go somewhere else !

Do NOT go here if you have Medicare insurance..they discriminate against you as soon as the find out you have the Medicare. The doctors will downplay your symptoms, send you out the door without doing anything for you. I highly suspect also that they are falsifying blood test results and imaging results. After 3 times being here each time was this way and other patient registering her Medicare card at front desk was also treated horribly.

My husband started going to this place first and he loves his doctor. My son sees the same doctor and he has a favorable report as well. I recently started taking my daughter here and she likes her doctor. So, for that reason I have NO complaints with the doctors. My issue is when you walk into the office. I've been there several times and there's a blonde-headed white lady that will sit there and not open her mouth. She doesn't say, "I'll be with you in a minute", "Give me a minute" or anything!! I can remember my first time visiting. I had no clue where I was to go, she said nothing, very unfriendly. I called to complain about her behavior, but I see she's still behaving the same so it's obviously of no importance to them. Note to Wake Med...anytime you hire people at the front desk..they should be friendly. If it hurts her that much to smile or greet someone, then maybe she need to switch seats with the other lady that sits in the back or go home!!

Donna Agnew

I received prompt and courteous treatment when I visited for a CT scan. It was my first; I was extremely nervous. The staff were extremely caring and friendly!

Allen Burch

If sitting for two hours in 8 out of 10 level pain from a herniated disc while people with the sniffles or a foot sprain are seen before you and the uncaring staff socializes and eats chips at their desk while you suffer and your pleading for relief is repeatedly ignored then this is the Emergency Department for you. Bleak and indifferent.

Michelle Haller

We've used the facility several times for testing, as well as an exam after an accident. It is convenient, with a reasonable wait time, and efficient staff. Glad to have this closer to home when a trip to the bigger campus can be avoided.

Christian Nilsen

Every member of the staff I have dealth with has been wonderful, helpful and concerned about my well being. They showed the highest regard for my privacy.

Kelsey Ferrar

All of the efficiency and excellent patient care that you need from an ER!

I hate this place will never go back they wrote all my info wrong They bill me after 6 months They are rude Everything about this place i hate

If I could give this hospital less than a 1, I absolutely would. The receptionist and our last nurse, Cheryl, were amazing, but this is about everything else that happened. My dad was admitted by ambulance for seizures. The ambulance asked us where we should go and I should have told them the Big Wake. ....When I got to the “hospital”, they had not taken his vitals, his blood, his urine, anything. He was having another seizure and I rang the nurses station and 3 people came in and looked at us dumbfounded. So glad he wasn’t having a heart attack because those 3 had no idea what to do. Then they had him connected to the EKG machine and was having a seizure and the guy taking his vitals and the lady with the EKG machine just stood there. He had to get a CAT scan and when he came back he was supposed to be hooked back up to the monitors for heart arythmia. They didn’t reconnect his monitors, so I again rang the nurses station and told the “nurse” that came in, who by-the-way, had an attitude and she said, “well, I don’t know, what’s he supposed to be connected to?” Serious??? Ask the doctor, do your job, ask somebody?? In addition, there were people that worked there that were loud and just overall unprofessional and lazy. In my mind the staff is not made of they types of professionals you would find in a bigger hospital. I will never bring myself or recommend anyone to come here for care.

Took my sister for sharp pain in her ear. Nurse spent like 10 mins just telling us that first course of action should of. Een our pediatrician not the ER. And that we needed to buy a thermomether to measure a fever before coming. That we can get a cheap oral one at walmart. And that unless there is an infection that they do not recomend antibiotics because next time when she is truly sick they will not work and she would have to use a really severe antibiotics. This was all said before she even examined my little sister's ear. It is clear that the nurses at wakemed garner do not truly care about their patients well beings. They did not even call us up by our names instead it was done by a number. Seemed more like a prison than a hospital. We have never been treated like this at johnston health. Which is where we will go to from now on. The nurse recomended water and Motrin. We waited over 3 hours for water and motrin. We will be going to our pediatrician tomorrow to recheck for i dont believe the nurse knows how to check ears correctly or just does not care to.

Had to go for a face laceration on a Tuesday evening and had a great experience. Everyone was awesome from the nice man at reception to the nice lady that took my picture to the nurses and our great PA David Goodwin. Very professional and efficient. It was not especially busy so I recognize that getting in and out in 3 hours may not be the norm but we appreciated the care and conversation and are so glad to know this facility is so close by. Thanks everyone! The McConnells

Our daughter was a passenger in a car accident and we took her here to be evaluated. We had to wait about 10 minutes to be seen. Once we were in the nice private rooms in the emergency department she was cared for very well. Including x rays. My only suggestion is possibly a coffee maker or place to get snacks for visitors with patients. It was early in the am and a very sweet nurse had mercy on me and got me coffee from nursing station. I really appreciated that since I ran out of the house from being woke up when I was informed our daughter was hurt in a car accident on the way to school. It was a very stressful event and we were there a couple hours. Best cup of coffee ever! Thank you. Lol Thank you for the great care too.

Was verbally threatened numerous times in the waiting room by a woman who didnt like that I was looking at her and instead of the "cop" yelling at her for trying to get all up in my face and yelling obscenities at me RIGHT IN FRONT OF HIM, I was yelled at by this joke of an officer and threatened to be kicked out. Sorry but I'm not going to tolerate some woman coming at me. I will stand up for myself. This "cop" claimed he talked to her and told her to back off, but then she comes back and calls me a b*tch RIGHT in front of him. I literally say "are you seriously going to say that in front of a cop" and instead of telling her to knock it off, he comes at ME. ARE YOU SERIOUS. I feel like because this woman was African American and had a kid, that they automatically tried to be nice to her when she was the one in the wrong. If this is how you treat ppl who are trying to stand up for themselves, then I will never come back.

Crystal Hakansson

Well since they had no beds I got an EKG in the hallway. Followed by a failed attempt at putting in a line for an IV (also in the hallway). Then I said no IV. This was followed by another stick to attempt to draw blood (failed). I don't believe it's a safe practice to attempt set up an IV in a hallway while Paramedics are bringing people in. The "check in lady" was also in the hallway maneuvering!!! I told my nurse to STOP until I had a room. At this point she tells me they have 12 beds and 12 people waiting. She then in a nutshell (she-different nurse) told me I could walk out. I currently have a stress fracture (tibial plateau) and partially torn MCL. I am also hypertensive. Well I put my brace back on, got into the wheelchair and wheeled myself out. I ask for the paper I need to sign (refusing the MD's treatment plan) I need to use the restroom, so I wheel myself in and walk out using the wheelchair as my cane. I sit for a few minutes and it's very cold inside, so I wheel myself outside to warm up. I still haven't been given my form. I have a friend on their way to pick me up. I sit back in my chair and wait. My friend tells me she is at the stoplight. I then wheel myself back in and ask for my form. I finally get the form, which I sign. Meanwhile I hear a group of nurses talking about their disabled patient who needs a catheter. They are obviously not following "the rules." It's almost like it's a big joke. I hear well I am not doing it, and other ugly phrases. I look directly at them, at that point they stop. #FAIL

Absolutely the best care! From the time I entered to register my sick baby at 1 am and was treated by the wonderful receptionist. The nurse was also so prompt and came to the desk to start helping upon entry. I was blown away by the ER Doctor who was fantastic!!! My son was so ill and the Dr. Somehow manage to get him giggling throughout the visit. He took such care and his time to examine my son and go the extra mile in his treatment. He made several visits in seeing him and even catering to us. He was the best we have ever seen!!!! From start to finish the ER team was excellent in the care they gave. I can not remember names but it was 10/10/19 from a but after 1 am and we thank you so much for you amazing care !

Andrea Hurst

I highly recommend and thank the nurses and doctors at the Emergency room at WakeMed Garner Healthplex. The care was excellent, caring and thorough and the place was immaculate.

Judy Childers

Everyone was exceptional tonight. Plenty of cooties walking through the door. Dr was great ( he genuinely cared!! ) Nursing staff was extremely friendly, helpful and funny (that helped). Housekeeping was even working hard to keep the cooties under control. Thank you for the care!!

Kelly Outlaw

Stay away from this facility they spend more time trying to get rid of you than help you or treat you. I was sent away and told nothing was wrong with me three times last year. I had Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, I was trying to get help and three times in a row they sent me away. Last night I went in for help after a car accident. I was denied an opportunity see a doctor or have an examination after being hit head on at 60 mph. They try to write medications with out bothering to examine you first. They point blank told me there was no need for me to see a doctor and still tried to charge me a copay after denying to help me. It is nice to have a hospital so close but I will still make sure I make the ride to another facility where people actually care about their patients.

Alice In'wonderland

I dont understand the bad reviews! I've been here a few times once when my boyfriend sliced his finger open and again twice for my Ulcerative colitis. The Nurses and doctors made me feel so human and not like a number unlike the wake med near north raleigh. They were kind and did everything they could to make me feel better! The first time they got me a diagnosis that I needed and the second time they had me feeling great and out in an hour! I've never had a bad experience with these guys. My nurses name was Denise, very nice woman! And my doctor was Ibraham, very straightforward and understanding!

Absolutely the worst hospital experience I've ever had.

Service was terrible...You sit for hours.... They don't check on you or anything.... I wasn't the patient....I was there with one....I don't recommend anyone go after 7 p.m. service sucks...

Waited n the emergency rm today to have my T.B. test read. Waited for 40 minutes before I told because I was not a Wakemed employee I could not have it read there. Uuuggghh

Jessica Hubbard

I was having bad stomach pains, there was not many patients there. Stayed there almost 4 hours after giving blood and urine said nothing was wrong with me when I knew it was. The doctor instead of telling me what need to be done, ask me what I think should be done. They offer to give me a CAT scan to see what was going on and for me to drink something that was supposed to make me glow in the inside so they can see what was going on with my intestines. I refused because I'm not creating a problem if you said NOTHING is wrong with me and I would have to stay 2 or 3 more hours to give time for the medicine to get through my system. I left discharged myself went to Duke Regional and they told me I was pregnant real early pregnant they drew blood and took urine at Wakemed said I wasn't pregnant. What if I would of took the medicine for CAT scan I could of put baby in great danger to all that radiation. They is horrible the doctor looked like she was lost and scared. How can they be so careless with people lives? If I could give no stars that will be my choice except this one nurse with a short blonde bob haircut she was sooo nice and tried her best to make me comfortable.

Doug Aitken

First, let me say this review would be five stars if I were rating the doctors we see (Sobiero and Ginn) and nursing staff. Reception is also good while checking in or checking out. The reason for the three stars is there is NO direct number to the office. You call a receptionist at a remote location and have to be re-directed. On two occasions, I have done this, and waited approximately 25 minutes each time being told how important my call was to them. HA! I finally gave up and selected option 2, where I was supposed to get a call back within two hours. That worked ok the first time, but the second time was a Friday, and those two hours came and went. My wife's required walker had broken and I needed a doctor's order to the medical supply store to get one. I left the necessary information, but I never got a call back, and here we are in the week end and bad weather, which means there will be closures and bad roads on Monday. No new walker for the wife. Communications at this location needs to be seriously looked at. This part of the operation is not up to the excellent care given by the professional staff.

Tom Dutcher

Absolutely horrible staff. They could care less about your health. They just want to get people out of there so the patient is no longer their problem.

Ruth West

I am so incredibly happy I chose WakeMed in Garner for my husband's care! Dr. Bleyer, Shannon and Kellie were amazing, and the care was phenomenal. Will definitely be back if the need arises, and will also choose their facility for our primary care.

Hannah Beck

I have been there three times, and all three times I have been VERY disappointed. The staff seems to get you back to a room quickly, but that is the only quick thing about this place. They take their sweet time, I had to ask 4 times for the doctor to come give us the results from lab work that the nurse said were in over an hour ago. Do not waste your time or money. Drive somewhere like Rex. Anywhere but here.

Sarah

The staff is wonderful at getting you registered and to a room quickly. The problem I had was with the doctor. He treated me in a way I've never experienced in a healthcare environment. He actually got angry with me because I refused an opiate ordered. (I wasn't in that much pain and already had vicodin in my system that was prescribed to me for my wound. Other staff members actually came into my room and apologized for the way he treated me. I don't think this facility is bad. But there's definitely at least one doctor there who is terrible. I got the impression that he was narcissistic. I did file a formal complaint against him and the hospital took it seriously and sent me a letter and email letting me know that action was taken against him (luckily there were witnesses who worked there). I will return there if need be. (let's hope not though!) I also like that they call you by your birth date instead of your first and last name.

C Terrell

Brought my mother here at 3:00 pm, right now it is 1:12 am. We had to wait for a shift change just to get someone that was skilled enough to give an IV for my mother (who has small veins). At some point in the 10 hours we've been here nobody has mentioned keeping her Or transferring her. Also, other nurses were more helpful than our own nurse. I've only seen her once since her shift started. I will never return here. From now on I will take my mother to a regular hospital who can make accomendations for her to stay overnight if they need extra time to run tests and get results, since they can't figure out what is wrong.

This place is worst then Time Warner. Staff was unpleasantly to say the least and condescending. The respiratory nurse was fun but when the neb didn't work was kinda like oh well. Horrible experience.

Our experience, if I could've given less than 1 star I would have. Wake Med should be ashamed. My son went in because of a hand injury, hand was crush between parts of a truck. Basically the weight of the truck had to be lifted off so he could pull his hand out. We were very surprised and thankful fingers were not severed. He was checked in, sitting in waiting room for almost 2 hours while fingers were swollen 3x the size. While waiting, we only saw 1 nurse come out to check on a man sitting in waiting room who was having difficulty breathing, they did nothing. Waiting room had about 5-6 others, including a woman in wheelchair parked near front desk with a barf bag who kept heaving and vomiting. Nice huh. Left and went to Johnston Health hospital in Clayton. Within 1 hour, he was checked in, stats taken, and xray. Another 30 min or so were in room with Dr. Wake Med on 70 Hwy is a JOKE!! If you care about your health, don't go there. And why is it that only the few positive reviews get a response. HA
