I had my routine physical today by Dr. Hermeet Singh. She was very thorough and informed me of what testing would be needed in the future. Also, whenever I have called to make appointments, I am greeted professionally by a human being, not an automated system. Excellent experience overall. I highly recommend the group.

Dr. Schroder is the doctor I see at Cary Medical Group as do a number of my family members. He was referred to us by another doctor who converted to a concierge setup. We decided not to stay with that Doctor when he changed to this type of practice and since we respected him, we asked asked for a recommendation. It was Dr Schroder. I find Dr Schroder to be very competent, confidence inspiring, companionate, informative, spot on with his diagnoses, and attentive. His demeanor is friendly, professional, and will allow the time to answer your questions. When I leave his office I feel confident he addressed all my concerns and provided the information and a plan (if needed) to resolve the reason I visited him. I have asked for the names of specialists I have needed. In each case the referred doctor was equally competent. I use the portal which I find extremely helpful to get questions answered. It avoids a visit to his office or phone calls. Dr Schroder always answers my emails quickly. I recommend him, his team, and the group.

when I set up my appointment I told them my problem I was seen the next day which was great. Dr. Sangeeta Varanasi came into the room and told me that I should see a neurologist because I have had a headache for 7 years. I told her I've seen a couple of them. I went to this practice because the website says " Because internists are often called upon to solve some of the most difficult medical puzzles, they are sometimes called the “doctor’s doctor.” I have seen so many doctors and specialists I was excited to see the doctors thinking this time someone will help me but instead.Dr. Sangeeta Varanasi seemed unprofessional and could not think about my situation for 5 mins even after I told her of other issues that might be a factor. All she had to say was see an neurologist. I left there feeling mislead and not worth her time. I feel that if your practice could not treat headaches then I should have been told when I made my appointment. I was desperate for help and the practice did not uphold there word. When you say your the doctors doctor then why would you shove me away and send me somewhere else? To me you seem like the middle man which I do not need. You not only made me feel that I was a wasted of your time you also billed me for a service that you could not deliver. Shame on you for treating me this way, I came to you with hope and left with feeling rejected.

After both my husband & myself being patients for 20 years, things have clearly gone downhill. It's all about what's the cheapeast, most convenient process for the practice. Dr.'s no longer do Q & A's, they just want to write a prescription as quickly as they can and get you out of there. It's particulary frustrating if you have an illness than is not easily diagnosed, because it just simply will be glossed over. They make no follow up appt, nor do you go over test results, you just leave completely bewildered. Don't even bother trying to leave a message & have it accurately conveyed. When my friend's husband's tests showed a terminal illness, the Dr. didn't bother calling, he had a nurse leave a curse messaage on their recorder. Don't even get me started on the stupid used monitors they want you to check yourself in on. We're looking for a new practice & you should too.

I have been fortunate in that my sister and her husband are patients here and their doctor agreed to take me on as a new patient. I found Dr. Shroeder to be very nice, interested in my background, took lots of notes and asked lots of questions about me, my general health and my activities. Since my initial visit I have been back and once again was treated by all there with respect and sincere concern for my well being. No one likes getting sick, but I am glad that I am a patient of this group and know that I have a doctor who really does care.

Nancy Gary

I see Dr Shroder and I could not be happier. He is professional, but also has compassion for his patients. He is very smart and will always find answers to my questions.

Peter Derosier

My problem is with the billing department. They failed to send the proper forms to my insurance. While waiting for them to correct the issue they sent my account to collections. They have effectively ruined me and won't do anything to remedy the problem. I will stay away from them from now on.

I have always been treated professionally by the staff in both check in/out. I have been a patient of Dr. Shoffner for many years could not be blessed any more by the care I receive by Carissa (her nurse) and Dr. Shoffner. I tell her all the time if she moves then so do I.

Amber Davis

Patient care is NOT a priority. We were turned away from our appointment for being less than 10 minutes late (I believe it was 6 minutes). When we asked why our appointment was dropped, well before the wait window, we were told the doctor specifically instructed the front desk clerk to do it. We were there for a sick visit and now my only option is to go the Emergency Room. I explained this to the office manager as well and was met with no sympathy or additional solutions. I will be transferring my family's care to a facility that actually wants to help their patients when they are ill.

Debbie Pineiro

I have been a patient here for several years. While Dr. Shoeffner is wonderful, the practice is all about the dollar signs. Going elsewhere now.

Gregg Seidel

The only commitment at this practice is to the billing department. Patient care is secondary. Everything is a hassle and the staff is not pleasant. They seem to forget the patient can do without all of this.

Susan Sheffield

I really like and trust them. Yay Nurse Kay and Dr Singh!

Rebeca Cottingham

My husband has been seeing Dr Singh for over 7 years. He never liked going to the doctor. But she is a wonderful doctor and listens to him, and they have built a great doctor/patient relationship. Because my husband travels a lot, they always are able to get him seen on the days when he is home. My advice is to always be upfront and honest with your doctors. :)

I have had an excellent experience with Cary Medical Group and would recommend them to anyone - most of my family uses Cary Medical and I use Dr. Schroder - one of the best doctor's I have ever had. I like their FMH Mobile app and use it to make appointments, check labs, and occasionally ask the doctor a questions.

From my first check-in, using the electronic tablet, to the nurse that processed my laundry list of medications, to the doctor that took time to review my case and lengthy history, to the check-out, everyone had a smile and a kind word. What a sweet, sweet group of people! It must be drilled into them that people don't visit the doctor to feel worse. With headache, neck and back pain, smiles and kind words are good medicine. I am sure each of the staff members has bad days, as we all do, but yesterday wasn't one for any of them that I met. I have some medical training, and threw some terms at my doctor to gauge a reaction. He never missed a beat, and even clued me in on updated protocols. He didn't talk down to me or dismiss concerns I had over lab results or treatments (always have questions and concerns ready before you get there). I received an email invitation to a secure communication portal by the time I returned home. This is new for me, but my wife says it is a great way to communicate directly with her doctor in the same group. While this was my first visit, I was overall very impressed.

Susan Crittenden, MD is the best doctor, hands down. She knows everything and her diagnoses are 100 percent right on. I have been at this group for many years. I have never had a difficult time getting in to see her. I don;t go that often but when I need to, I am able to secure an appointment quickly. Dr. Crittendens assistant Anne is also wonderful. She follows up with one's insurance company when needed. They make a great team. If you need an excellent physician in Cary, NC--this is the one to go to.

Seriously those two positive reviews should be from both Mr&Mrs Agarwal. Let me tell our experience and you be the judge. My spouse went for a physical. Regular ..nothing out of ordinary. So I get my lab report and physical done. Month later lab corp sends a bill for $150. Shocked, as I never was billed for regular physical which most of the insurance covers in full. So I call the Dr Office, what I find out is that they made a error in billing code. So Lab Corp is dumb ? In my view they should have matched the lab report and the billing code ..and of course how many of you don't know the Lab Corp is a bully. So genuinely we started a conversation on both the sides and both acknowledged it was a billing code error...So Dr office will refile the claim. Guess what after following up with them for more than a year.. Issue come to Collection. So this is the story of one Dumb Bully and a mediocre Doctor. By all means avoid this Dr office. You will be doing yourself a favor... I will be writing another review where she misdiagnosed and run another blood test.

Dr. Bilbro and Olivia, a nurse who works with him, make a great team. I don't like that I have to review my health insurance information at the check-in desk, every time I go to the practice, even if I was there as little as a week or two prior, but I would not label this as something that sours my experience and the staff I have interacted with are friendly, kind, compassionate, and professional. Dr. Bilbro is smart, intelligent, accurate and thorough and something that is equally, if not more important to me, is I routinely feel that Olivia and Dr. Bilbro genuinely care. Thank you to you both for your effort and the work that you do.

Great practice. Been a patient of Dr. Raman, who is great and has always listened and given great advice. Appointments need to be scheduled early, but the quality of service is remarkable.

Lisa Green

I have been a been a patient of Dr. Shoffner for a few years and love her and her RN Carissa. I have also met two others doctors there and had great experiences. The reason for only giving 3 stars is that I am very disappointed with the front desk staff. Bottom line, they rude.

ilona miskell

I have 4 family members that see doctors Crittendan, Shroeder, and Raman. We have been going there for about 10 years. We are all very pleased with our doctors, all are very caring and listen to their patients. I recommend any of these doctors very highly.

I have never felt so compelled to write a review before. Worthless! Tried to get an appointment here and the front desk receptionist was so rude. If you are not a patient here, do not bother to call. They will tell you that they have no availability and they could care less about letting you become a patient. My husband goes here and every time he goes they incorrectly code his procedure and he gets sent a bill from his insurance. Every time we have to go through the same long process of getting them to recode it properly so his insurance will cover the visit. Ridiculous.

Good doctors, bad medicine. The first thing you should notice is that no elderly people are in the office, which is odd since it's in a central location, easy to get to, and they are mostly Internal Medicine specialists. The next thing you will definitely notice is the surly elderly woman at the front desk who manages to glare even at people who are not asking her for anything. I saw a wonderful 2nd generation doctor who knew a lot about my health, but he was hobbled by the "defensive medicine" being practiced there. The low point of the year I spent in their care was when I told them I had transferred to another doctor (no fault to them, I wanted a VIP/concierge type of care system), and they sent me a nasty note saying basically "You've left our care and from now on we will not give you any more help. For the next 30 days we will provide emergency care only." I'm not even sure it's legal for a doctor's office to deny care for that or any other reason. Not that I was planning on going back, I'm happy with my new doctor, and I was reasonably happy with them, I just don't like 15 minute appointments and their help always seemed "measured" like they were tongue tied about what they really wanted to say. That's not productive medicine, so I left. Why send me a dear john letter? Must be some kind of lawyerism I don't understand. It's sad because my new doctor knew my previous doctor's father (also a doctor), so I wish things hadn't ended in such a weird way. I've never been told by a doctor's office that they will not help me, even if I transferred care. It's grotesque that they sent me such a letter. That front office is killing them. I gave it two stars because I can see that my old doctor was a good person who cared about me, but there were too many things there that made my skin crawl or prevented any actual (long term health issue improvement) help from being transmitted. Over there I felt like they were blaming me for my illness, and that's not right. I felt like they were treating me as a danger to their practice because I had chronic illness. Deep down they may have wanted to help, but they put their practice before the patient's needs (defensive medicine). Obviously I had to leave.

You can expect to take a number like the rest of the cattle they run through their office. Extended wait times and no apologies. Patient experience is similar to a minute clinic or urgent care. When you call for an appointment the "physicians" don't have an available time, but (at their recommendation) you can always see a nurse practitioner. Most of the good doctors have left this practice over the past few years. This office is too big to offer any type of personalized care. Stated hours of operation on both the on hold message and website states they are open until 4:45 pm daily. Knowing their closing time, I waited to call them later in the day. I tried to call them at 4:00 pm on a Friday and the only thing the messaging service could tell me was.....sorry, they must have closed early. That is what this medical office should do permanently.

CMG has always taken great care of myself and my family. Always fit us in when needed. Thanks for the great care!

Alfred Pivec

If I could leave zero stars, I would. I asked their office staff for the price of EXACTLY what I needed on the phone AND in-person, prior to having it performed. I was assured, twice, that the amount I was being charged would cover what I asked for. After having to go back to them two weeks later, to find out the results of my tests, I was told that the one specific test , which I was assured TWICE was being performed, was not performed and that there would be an extra charge for it. Office manager just kept repeating to me that "that test is not included." She didnt seem to care that her staff gives out the wrong information. She did nothing to satisfy me. But she did offer to charge me more for what I still need to have done. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.

EC Butler

Love, love, love this practice. I started with CMG years ago with one dr and she moved away. I was placed with Dr. Shoffner. She has been great. Receptive of my input, supportive when times were tough for me and gladly took my new husband on as a patient. I see that many of these reviews were written a few years ago and I hope that others have not had their experience.

Meredith Hemphill

Used to like it here. Then they got rude. They never come on time. I can't be waiting 40+ minutes for an appointment. I will continue to go to another practice where providers actually come on time.

Jacob Stephens

The health care at this office seems decent, but if you ever have a billing issue the staff are completely uncooperative - no matter how easy the issue is to resolve. Notice other reviewers saying the same thing. Please save yourself the stress and pick a different office. If you do choose to go to this office do not start the visit or accept any services without asking for the exact billing coding they will use and calling your insurance to make sure it is compatible. Especially routine lab work. Otherwise you will receive a bill for something that your insurance does cover or apply to your deductible, but that they reject due to unusual coding. $300 is no small amount when it's something that your insurance will pay or negotiate with the right coding. When you find yourself in this situation you will quickly find that all your calls get sent to the black hole that is "Terry in accounting". After a couple weeks of calling and leaving messages with Terry at various times of the day you may get through and Terry will assure you that she will quickly resolve your issue. Nothing will happen after that call and you will find yourself calling back several times a week and leaving voicemails without reaching her. The office operator will take messages as well, but you will still not be called back. My visit was 7/29/14 and as of today 12/1/14 I am still dealing with this nightmare.

Both my husband & I have been patients of Dr. Raman for over eight years. She is very caring, takes time & listens. We have never felt rushed. Her nurse, Suzanne is also great & very prompt returning calls & responding to messages. We have found they are almost always on time & the few occasions when they were not, they were very apologetic.Have always been able to get timely appointments for the intended purpose. On rare occasions when we needed an immediate appointment we have seen a different doctor or PA - maybe two or three times in eight years. No matter who we saw, we have always felt our needs have been met. Very highly recommend both Dr. Raman and Suzanne.

Rebecca Eison

Dr. Raman and Suzanne are absolutely amazing. I feel that I am in great hands at Cary Medical Group. I have also seen the NP, Rebecca, and she is also fantastic. Getting an appointment has always been easy, but if you want a physical with Dr. Raman, schedule it early!! I haven't dealt with their billing department, so I can't speak to that. That being said, I really can't say enough great things about the doctors at Cary Medical Group as my parents also go there and see Dr. van Cleef and Raman and have nothing but great things to say.

Ray Thornton

CMG has always provided me with excellent medical care. Definitely recommend this practice. Thank you CMG.

Kelley Reep

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Ramen! I rarely have to wait long in the waiting room, and Dr. Ramen (and Suzanne, her RN) are fantastic about getting back with me promptly. I have recommended her to other people, and was myself introduced to her through a friend's recommendation. Great doctor! (If only the people who answer the telephones were as nice...)

Terri Woods-DeWald

The staff, from check in to check out, are warm and friendly. It is easy to get appointments when needed. I've never had any billing issues that weren't handled promptly and correctly. I would definitely recommend this practice.
