Dr. LaRee, Dr. Clark, & staff make every child feel comfortable and their care and concern shows through in every detail. Sometimes I'm jealous I can't go there :-)) They wait time is always reasonable and the waiting room is very comfortable. I highly recommend their practice.

My son has been going here for about 10 years. He has Autism and it was a real struggle to go to the dentist. The staff always worked with us, put us in a private room and were very patient with him. In the beginning I had to go with him and he would sit on my lap, and I had to hold him for then to just get a toothbrush in his mouth. We couldn't do x-rays for years. Each time he went to the dentist, things got better. Now he goes back by himself, we have gotten all x-rays done and at the last visit, the private room was occupied but he had no problem being in the general room with the other kids. The staff has always been really pleasant to work with.

My kids enjoy coming. 7 years with them!! Love it!!

Always a fun visit for my daughter. Nice and friendly staff.

My son has been going here for at least 2 years. The atmosphere is great. The waiting room is kid-friendly and I recently found out that there is another room in the back for parents to wait. Nice! They are super quick and thorough here. Never disappoints!

We love the staff at Carolina Pediatric Dentistry! My three children have seen Dr Johnson for almost 10 years and the service is always excellent. They have never complained about dentist visits which speaks volumes to the great care they receive. The best pediatric dentist in Wake Forest!

I was completely shocked at my son's experience with this dentist. My son has mild sensory aversions and also anxiety. I always use word of mouth and was told to use another dentist, highly referred, but they are not contracted with insurances. I decided to check my insurance first and Carolina Pediatric Dentistry was listed. I asked around and many had good reviews. I also noticed on their site that they specialize with kids with special needs. Though my son is not diagnosed this way, I thought this was good as they would know how to handle his fears. Instead, after the normal "get to know you" shpeal, he was thrown onto his dad's lap and forced to have a cleaning. This frustrates me because I was told by many that pediatric dentists usually go at the child's pace and therefore if the child was fearful, they would rather build a trust with them rather than do a cleaning. I felt like I lied to my son as I told him a cleaning probably wouldn't happen. Not the case here. My son screamed and kicked and threw punches out of fear. The hygienist simply said "here, want to play with these sunglasses?" Like a distraction of that sort would help! My husband was not pleased with the first impression. Though the doctor was nice and tried to comfort my son, the damage was done. I will never go back here again and for anyone who has a child with anxieties, I will tell them go somewhere else! I'm sure the next visit to a new place will be rough as well, since now my son has no trust in any dentist.

We were referred to Carolina Pediatric by our children's dentist and we fell in love! We have now made CP our regular dentist. They are very child friendly with a culture that respects both the child and the parent. The early morning hours allow my kids to have their regular dentist appointments without missing school. My kids are happy to go there because they know it will be a good experience.

Dr. Johnson & her staff are absolutely wonderful! Our eldest (3.5 y/o) had to undergo conscious sedation procedures and as a parent, going through it the first time with our son, was worrisome as we did not know what to expect. Not to mention, it was also stressful for a parent to see our child cry and scared. Dr. Johnson & her staff were with us every step of the way, walking us through. We felt their genuine and sincere care for our son and his well-being. It was very assuring to both myself and my husband with how the whole process played out. Everything is nothing but positive in this practice - from their reception, waiting area and dental care. To me, it is evident that they love what they do as it translates into how they genuinely do care for their patients! My husband and I are thankful that we were referred to Dr. Johnsons’ practice. We will be taking our 14 month old son to his 1st dental appointment very soon :)

Lauren Briggs

We had a great experience at Carolina Pediatric Dentistry! The staff were excellent with my three year old for her first dental visit.

Silvia Duran

My 9 yr daughter and 6 yr son love coming to see Dr. Johnson! Dr. Johnson is always so caring, is thorough in her exams, and conservative for treatment. My kids loving playing on the computer games mean while they wait for their cleaning, they enjoy watching a movie on the I pad while getting their teeth cleaned, and love the toy tower choices!! Dr. Johnson focuses on prevention, making sure my kids know to brush and floss, and always reminds my kids to limit or discontinue sweet drinks to prevent cavities. My kids listen to Dr. Johnson's recommendations, more than they listen to me. We love Carolina Pediatric Dentistry! :)

We took our 1 year old son to his first dental visit last week and I can sincerely say we had a fantastic experience. We were greeted warmly and promptly and taken back to the clinic very quickly. The dental assistant was very thorough in explaining how to take care of our son's teeth and gave us information on what to do if there was ever a dental emergency. She even gave us an informative card regarding dental emergencies that we can hang on our fridge for easy access. We were very impressed with the dentist as well. He was very gentle and our son didn't mind at all when Dr. Morris was taking a look in his mouth. I highly recommend this practice!

Adrianne Miles

After my 15-year-old son injured his front teeth playing basketball, we needed dental help, and we needed it quickly. The staff at Carolina Pediatric Dentistry was excellent. The nurse answering the after hours emergency number was calm and helpful, and Dr. Morris was calm and honest as he shared my son's prognosis. They always made us feel encouraged and were patient with all of our worries and questions. For years we have appreciated their regular dental services, and now we can speak about their emergency services--both are excellent!

Larnia Allen

I absolutely love this place, they are awesome with kids. I went through 2 dentist office's and they are the only office to get my 3yr old comfortable and relaxed and even goes to back without me! As a parent you want to protect your child when they are scared, I can say I have no worries when my child goes back without me. They are the best!!

Heather Pew

We have been with Carolina Pediatric Dentistry since my 9 year old was a year old. The compassionate care is unparalleled. Today was our first visit with the new doc, Dr Morris. What a great guy! And as always Anita and Sarah took perfect care of my overly anxious kiddo. Love this office to pieces!

My kids have been patients of Carolina Pediatric Dentistry for 13 years. Dr. Johnson has provided excellent care for both my girls. My oldest daughter was very apprehensive when she had her first appointment. Dr. Johnson and her team loved her through that and I am happy to say she is a 16 year old with no fear of dental visits or procedures. My girls love their visits at this office! There is no doubt that they are receiving the very best care. The staff is so kind and great with kids. I would highly recommend Carolina Pediatric Dentistry!!

We had the best experience while getting my daughter’s teeth cleaned and a tooth extracted. The entire staff was so kind, warm & friendly. My daughter felt so comfortable!!! And the option of “fairy hair” was such a special touch!! Thank you for the attention to details and great customer service!! You all are truly amazing!!!

Meshel Bussey

My family is going to really enjoy seeing Dr. Bird and her team at Carolina Pediatric Dentistry in the years to come! I thank God for the service they are providing families, and am so thankful for their patience with my children. We literally had to pray, talk down, take breathes, even at times restrain my girls through a short but slightly uncomfortable procedure and the whole team was understanding and patiently waited for us to get it together. I cant recommend them enough! Thank you so much for all that you do!

Crys V

Our children have been going to Dr. Johnson since they were very young. She is the ONLY dentist that they have ever been to and we are thankful for that! The staff is super friendly, extremely knowledgeable (explaining in detail and answering all of our questions), and a pleasure to work with. Dr. Johnson is equally a pleasure and truly my children enjoy going to see her. The office is extremely kid-friendly and the only hard part I ever have is getting my kids to leave. They would stay much longer if allowed! But thanks to quick service and their valuing of our time, we're always in and out...and with great smiles to boot. Thank you Carolina Pediatric Dentistry!

Stephenie N

Best dentist for kids!

Shawn Moss

My kids absolutely love going to Carolina Pediatric Dentistry!. I have a daughter who is 6 yrs. old and a son who is 8 yrs. old. They both agree that Dr. Johnson and her team are amazing. My children have been patients of Dr. Johnson' s for 4 yrs. My daughter was a little apprehensive when she first became a patient, but quickly became comfortable with the setting due to all the TLC she received from Dr. Johnson and her team. My son has a history doing well for doctors appointments in general, but has always been nervous about receiving shots. He recently had four teeth extracted, per request, by his orthodontist. He was extremely nervous about his appointment because he is smart enough to know that his visit involved receiving a shot. However, I set him up for success by allowing Dr. Johnson and her team to do all of the talking to prepare him for treatment. My son explained to me that when he went back for his appointment, he watched a movie for a little while and was done before he knew any treatment had taken place. He explained that when Dr. Johnson told him he was done he felt so empowered that he said "yes, I did it!" After that experience he felt like he could take on the world and it was all because Dr. Johnson and her staff anticipated all of the needs necessary to ensure that my child would have optimal patient care, resulting in a successful experience.

Nicole Tetreault

my son absolutely loved the new doctor!

I won't be taking my son back to this practice. There is a large staff that keeps the dentists isolated. They discourage you from participating in your childs care by not allowing parents in where the dentists are. The dentists have talked with us after cleanings in the past, but no one came to talk to us when our son had a cavity. All Information was second hand. The whole process was rushed and the staff was rude. The orthodontist was the worst and followed us out into the parking lot to talk about their payment policy.

Shannon Howell

Always a great visit. Fantastic staff and dentists. Very professional, yet kind and considerate.

Beware of this practice and their claims about your children's teeth. Over the courese of several visits. The doctor made claims that my children drank sweet drinks or ate excessive amounts of candy like "all" kids. I corrected her and told her this was not the case. Several visits later after a check up, we were given a treatment plan to cover the nine cavities my two children had (the total between the two of them). Thankfully we didn't fall for this and had their teeth rechecked elsewhere and found they didn't have any cavities at all. It seems when you have great covereage some practices and choose to take the low road.

My daughter has been going to Dr. Johnson for 10 years and her appointments always go so well. Everyone remembers her favorite activities and she has fun at the dentist. Dr. Johnson is the best.

Alex Nguyen

My brother, sister, and I have been going to Carolina Pediatric Dentistry for 9 nine years now, and it's been a great experience for us. Everyone is very friendly and professional. Dr. Johnson is very knowledgeable and really cares for her patients. I highly recommend Carolina Pediatric Dentistry to all families!!

Doug Huneycutt

Awesome Dentist and staff! My son broke his front tooth and Dr. Johnson worked her magic and did a perfect job. The staff is always smiling and makes my son feel comfortable. They are very professional and always does a great job. The waiting room is awesome for the children and keeps them occupied with the games etc. Dr. Johnson and staff are the best!!!

I would not recommend Carolina Pediatric Dentistry to any parent. My son had a few cavities to be filled and I decided to go here. They were awful, not only did they not let me go with him for his check up but I have never met the dentist to this day. She never came out to talk to me but the administrator, Allison, did. I'm a 21 year old woman and they were very disrespectful to the fact that I was young. They staff spoke down to me and I was very insulted. They spoke to me as if I was not good enough to be in their office when I am just as capable to pay my bill as any other mother. I highly recommend finding another dentist to go to.

I have been taking my special needs child there for several years. Dr. Johnson and the staff are fabulous with her! Among her health issues, my daughter has sensory problems and hates it when anyone touches her face or head. The staff is gentle and patient with her. They give her breaks as needed so she can relax. When she was little I held her in my lap and we leaned her back onto the lap of the hygienist. No scary dentist chair for a small child. As she has gotten old, she now sits in the dentist chair with no problems. Dentists that work with Special needs children are hard to find (unless you want a hospital dentist clinic). I drive from Durham to get to their office.

Naomi Congleton

Excellent pediatric dentist. Dr Johnson is wonderful and staff is friendly and helpful! My kids love this dentist office!!

The only positives of this place was a fun reception area and a very sweet lady at the front desk. But beware that this practice discriminates against *legal* parental and religious rights (not to vaccinate). I was also told that as long as my son got one dose of something that they could work with me...which makes zero sense even if I believed in getting them done because one dose of anything would not supply complete immunity to any of these diseases, so what’s the difference in seeing my child today? And just FYI full vaccination dosages never promise full immunity either. And there are plenty of unvaccinated children in public places, including daycares and schools. So please do further research and I’d advise to go somewhere else that respects parents’ rights on medical decisions for their children and will take enough care in keeping our children’s dental health safe regardless of their own personal opinions and preferences towards something that is none of their business.

Our visit went much faster than I expected. Our wait time was under 5 minutes. The parent coffee room was perfect and both of my kids were done in 30 minutes maybe less. I received good and useful feedback and advice. I am actually looking forward to our next visit to the dentist, thanks!

I have been taking my kids to the same dentist for a long time (10 plus years) and her fees changed so we decided to try a new place. I went awhile ago to get a extraction for my daughter and ever since she has called them "the evil dentist". Well i thought she was being dramatic. However i did find it odd i never spoke with the actual dentist after her procedure just a billing person. Today i took her back and my toddler. They were very rough with my toddler and holding him down. He actually has some bruising on his chin and cheek bone. He is 17 months old and i was so dumbfounded i did not know how to react. My kids have lots of medical preofessionals in their lives and never have they been treated in such a brash manner. Even my son who has a medical team at duke is never man handled or treated like he has no voice. When we left my 8 year old looked at me and said "mom do you believe me now? They are very mean".. Needless to say i will pay the extra 400.00 a year to use my old kinder loving dental practice. I took him straight over and he watched awhile so he isnt freaking traumatized for dental care for the rest of his life.

I highly recommend Carolina Pediatric Dentistry and Dr. LaRee Johnson! Dr. Johnson and her staff have taken of my niece, Summer, since her very first visit and Summer has loved going to the dentist ever since! That was my greatest fear for her, "not liking the dentist". Dr. Johnson and all of the staff have always treated Summer like a princess and I wouldn't have it any other way! Thanks Dr. J and Staff for your great care for my niece!

I absolutely LOVE this practice and every person with whom I've interacted. I drive all the way to this office from Fayetteville and it is worth every minute on the road. Initially, I balked at driving out of town for dental care, but after several bad experiences locally, we decided to give Carolina Pediatic Dentistry a try. Both my daughters are clumsy and have bumped their front baby teeth, causing initial looseness and gradual darkening. It was when my eldest daughter (she was 3) started getting a dark front tooth that we switched dental care providers because we weren't getting any answers from our local provider. It was a different experience just walking through the door. The staff was pleasant, friendly, and calm. The atmosphere is kid-friendly and very peaceful - there is nothing to cause a child anxiety about receiving dental care. I especially loved the way the hygeinist interacted with me as a parent - she didn't disregard my interest or concern for my child, but treated me with kindness and respect at all times. When my not-yet-2-year-old stumbled and bumped her front teeth, they fit us right in to see the dentist that same day - as soon as we were able to get there, in fact! I was super stressed because she was so young and in so much pain, and they handled the whole situation with so much calmness and kindness. They did what they could to distract my daughter and make her experience with them comfortable and provide her a sense of security. We have interacted with both Dr. Johnson and Dr. Morris and they were both phenominal. It is obvious that everyone there cares about doing their jobs with excellence, professionalism, and kindness. They care about their patients and the parents. Words cannot express my deep appreciation for the way my daughters and I have been treated by everyone at this practice, from the receptionist, to billing, to the hygeinists and the dentists. We have been treated like people, not inconveniences, with genuine kindess and respect every step of the way.

I was Terrified my 3 year old needed to get a filling, But they were amazing .my daughter went right back and Caitie and Bethany were amazing with her . They kept me updated and took me back to see her as she was getting the filling done . Even after the procedure my daughter said “ she likes the dentist and wanted to stay bc she was watching her favorite movie “ .

Katrina Flanagan

Both of my children come here. My son has had some dental problems that Dr. Morris has went above and beyond to help us with and has made my son feel safe and comfortable. The staff is awesome and are always very helpful with any questions I have. My son absolutely loves coming to see Dr. Morris and his staff. I am forever grateful for how kind they are to my son.

The staff took great care and time with my child. I was very pleased with their attentiveness to my childs' needs.

Our first born son was a patient of Dr. Johnson’s over 15 years ago. Now I’m back with my two year old. He had his first visit a little over a year ago. Now he’s two and much more aware of what’s going on, able to talk, and explore. The office is very inviting and he was super excited and captivated about the appearance and talked about everything he saw. We were greeted by the sweetest person, Shital, at the front desk. She remembered Sonny and greeted him by name, listened to him and responded as he went on and on about the decor! The back office staff was so friendly as well. Overall, we give an A+ for the visit! O by the way, we were informed about the New Raleigh office that will be opening by his next cleaning, which I think is awesome news!

Tezra Stewart

Did a great job at making my daughter comfortable and great customer service.

Vicki Johnson

I love how patient the techs are with the kids. Even the ones who were finding it a little hard to relax they make sure they are very comfortable and talk them through any procedure no matter how small! Both my kids were able to find a little peace afterwards when they initially thought the dentist would not be something they enjoyed!

Jessica Riedel

Both my children, ages 2 and 3, had a great visit! You guys made it so easy, so simple, and it was awesome! Thank you and see you in six months!

Jay Warrick

Great place for our kids... We drive an hour just because of the way they care for thier patients.

Mary Kay Norris

Such a great office with an amazing staff from the time you walk in to the time you check out. The hygienist was great with my daughter and really broke things down so she took the information to heart...any mom of a teenager knows how hard it can be to get thru to them...but she did! I'm so grateful for this office :o) Thanks CPD!!

Garnett Webb

Thank you so much for working in my daughter for her emergency visit today. You not only validated her concerns, and made her feel comfortable, but you treated her like a celebrity and she loved it! You are a very loving, caring staff, and our family is grateful.

We have a few points where, in our opinion, this practice could be improved: A. Difficulty working with one of the receptionists at Carolina Pediatric Dentistry. On several occasions, this receptionist has seemed patronizing and antagonistic, unwilling to listen to the concerns of my wife, who speaks English as a second language, even though I am there beside her to help with any lapse in communication. Also, there is another receptionist, whom we met with at a later date who was quite kind and attentive. B. A couple of times we had to wait over an hour, but not 80 minutes. Once we got in with only about fifteen minutes' wait. C. It usually took us six months to get an appointment, and also that much time once when we had to reschedule an appointment. Hopefully this situation will improve once the new dentist begins working there. Dr. Johnson has carefully vetted and selected a young man, whom she taught in dental school. It is a good bet that they will work well together for a long time, as they likely share a very similar philosophy. D. The dentist seemed inflexible at one point, saying that she would not fill our son's cavities because she had a policy of of only treating a tooth once. With our son, she suspected that his dietary habits were too weak, and strongly suspected that he would have a cavity again in the same tooth if she merely filled the cavity. She recommended putting him under general anesthesia and putting a crown on all of his molars. He had incipient cavities in each molar. He had no cavities just about one year before that, when he was examined in South Korea, where he was born and raised until a recent move (at that time) to the U.S. We wanted more consideration for cultural differences and the effects of a dramatic change in culture in our recent move from South Korea to the U.S. My wife wanted the be allowed to try a filling of the tooth, and a change in diet, to see if we could greatly lower the potential for him getting cavities. She is attentive to problems with our children's health and I believe would have done well, but the dentist did not seem to trust her, and insisted upon a treatment plan of either all crowns, or a six-month waiting period to determine whether or not we could arrest the development of his cavities. There was utterly nothing to suggest that this dentist was lacking in any way in professional competency, only perhaps in her "bed-side manner," and willingness to trust my wife, repair the cavities, and allow my wife to change his diet with his teeth were repaired (which had recently changed, from a healthy traditional Korean diet to a U.S. public school diet, which the dentist said was pernicious to teeth). We have not decided whether to continue with this dentist, but aim to give them one more chance. We stopped the older brother, and have been happy at a nearby dentist, which serves the other members of our family. We liked Carolina Pediatric Dentistry mainly because of the fact that they aim to serve young children, and that they have an interesting waiting room (a plus). Let me add that this dentist seems to strongly believe in her judgments, and that I believe she adheres consistently to her ethics. We only wish she were more open to receiving and implementing in some measure the values and ethics of the parents of her patients, particularly where there may be some extenuating circumstances. I believe this is likely to happen over the years.

We've been using Carolina Pediatric Dentistry for almost 9 years now since our then 2 year old had a traumatic (well it was traumatic for all of us) experience at another pediatric dentist. The staff is very kind to our daughter as well as very professional. We would recommend this practice to anyone with a child.

Chris Strickland

My daughter loves going to Carolina Pediatric Dentistry! Dr. Johnson has been very attentive to my daughter's needs throughout the years. I really appreciate her conservative and honest approach. Dr. Johnson and her staff are so kind and caring. The office is kid friendly and clean. The kids can watch movies while they get their teeth worked on. They also have video games and get gold tokens after their appointments to get prizes. I highly recommend this office!

After speaking with the head provider mr Clark I can say I feel much better about their policies and how things are done . I really appreciate the provider speaking with me to show that the kids come first and to help resolve the issues I had in question and for that I want to thank you for showing professionalism and putting your patients first thank you ! It truly makes a big difference

Decided to take my 16 month old here for her first visit based on a recommendation. It was great. The facility is very fun with lots of engaging interactive activities to distract nervous kids. The staff was very friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. They handled my disgruntled 16 month old well despite her protests. To top things off, she even got a stuffed animal for her first visit.

Beware on many levels. 1st they want patients to agree to let them put a child in a straitcoat if there is any issue with your child. I have spoken to other pediatric dentists and said that no legitimate practice should be doing such without other extensive attempts to calm a child. One dentist had said it is pretty barbaric that any dentist even thinks that way. This has been confirmed by several other dental assistants that I have spoken to. Also, In regards to billing, this place can fails to alert patients in a timely manner to settle bills. It's been OVER 1 year since my child's 1st and only visit and we have discovered fraudlent submissions and failure to rectify in a timely manner and now we are paying out of pocket. Thanks to some substandard staff this place has.

Heather Perkinson

Dr. Johnson is an amazing dentist. Our son loves going in for his check ups. The office is beautiful and very child friendly with touch screen games for the children to play as well as a play house. We have seen many different murals that were beautifully painted throughout our time here and we have been regular patients for over 5 years. We have been in for routine check ups as well as a dental trauma visit and have received wonderful care each time. The office staff are amazing ladies and are always a pleasure to talk with. They are very flexible with our schedules and always remember our names. We even drive an hour from home just to be able to receive this level of care. I only wish they would start treating adults.

As always, the staff was super friendly and fantastic with my 3 yr. old. He had to have a cap put on a tooth he broke in a fall, and he was happy going in and coming out of the appointment. The staff made both of us feel comfortable and ensured we both knew what was going to happen, and they were incredibly quick.

Today was my son’s first dentist visit and this office was GREAT! The staff was extremely friendly and made him not afraid. I love this office and will continue to take him here!

Jessica Tomasula

My 3 y/o was certainly nervous but the whole process was really efficient which didn’t give her a lot of time to dwell on her nerves. I can’t say enough good things about how caring and kind each team member was to my daughter and me. Will definitely recommend to other families!

My 3 year old boy absolutely loves this dental office! Dr. Johnson and her staff are amazing ! I would definitely recommend this practice to all parents !

Everybody there are very friendly and knowledgeable. Very welcoming and professional. My kids love to go to the dentist!

I'd better give zero stars because they just REFUSED to treat my child. The reason - no vaccination. I asked how are these things connected - dental work and our vaccination preferences. They answered nonsense which makes the refuse even more offensive. They told me their pregnant patients can catch viruses from children without shots. Maybe it's just the girl on the phone doesn't know that any person with all the shots can transfer viruses. Or are all the doctors in Carolina Pediatric Dentistry this incompetent? Dear sirs, there's no threat to pregnant patients from kids without vaccination. Not more than from any other kid WITH vaccination. It is inexcusably for doctors not to know that. You guys at least should have chosen a more reliable reason to cover your discriminatory policy. I understand this is not about health. This is about peace of mind to some of your patients. And this is extremely offensive to other patients and discriminatory in effect.

My son has always had his checkups with Dr. Johnson. After every visit my son's demeanor shows a positive attitude and he always talks to me about his experience. They are always very attentive and caring with him. I feel very confident that Dr. Johnson always makes sure that every patient gets the best care.

Nicole Lynn

Terrible Experience all the way around! I drove 62 miles One way because of the great reviews and it was my 3 year olds first dental visit. First my daughter left with a mouth full of thrush. I called the on call number about 6 times ( last time I was on my way to the local ER) due to my child being unable To swallow at all!!! Turns out on top of thrush she also ended up with strep throat!! They were very apologetic the net day when I finally got a Call back but after being awake for more than 28 hours it only infuriated me that much more. Not to mention they over charge you and wait 5 month to refund the over payment!!! My daughter will forever be terrified of a dentist because of this office!!! STAY AWAY!!!

My kids love to go to this dentist! They are really professional and friendly. Every time we go there is a good experienced. Beth and Lauren are great

We visited Carolina Pediatric Dentistry today for the first time and were very impressed. The entire staff is very friendly and genuinely care about the patients. Dr Morris is fantastic and very thorough. Natalia is very caring and helpful. We had a great experience and felt very comfortable. We are so happy to have found this office and really enjoyed and appreciate everyone we met.

I went here when I was 5 (so 2007-2008), and all I remember was being screamed at and gagged. It took a while for me to stop fearing the dentist.

Went to Carolina Pediatric Dentistry for years and loved it. Dr. Johnson is amazing and super nice. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

I am very happy with my 7 year old sons visit to Carolina Pediatric dentistry! My son had a bad experience at a few dentists in Raleigh. He has special needs, ADHD and sensitive gag reflex, but they were great with him here! I will be taking my baby girl here once her teeth come in : )

This is a fantastic place to bring your kids--kids have different needs and this office really caters to them. I have been bringing all of my kids here for 11 years, and I have never had a moment of doubt or disappointment. None of my kids is the least bit scared to go to the dentist. The dentists listen well to my children and to me, and take the time to talk to us about treatment options and forming good dental habits after they are done treating them.

Just get a second opinion. My child received an SDF treatment. Any decayed areas should have turned brown or black. There is not any staining. The tech or hygenist went over xrays for a filling. The doctor should have explained the xrays to us. We were asked twice to wait out front for a filling, possible crown procedure. Our child is 5 and we should have been allowed to be with him. We did not think to ask about crown materials and the crown is stainless steel (pretty much all pediatric crowns are) but we would have paid extra for a tooth colored crown.

My kids enjoy Carolina Pediatric Dentistry as much as chick-fil-a! They have a playhouse, computer games, and walk out with a bag full of prizes. The staff is so friendly and they really do make teeth cleaning fun! My 3 year didnt like the cavity filling appointment quite as much :/ but they were quick and did a nice job. They give good education and truly seem to care about their patients!

Without my permission they grabbed my son and flipped him backwards with him screaming to see his teeth. I did not sign the form stating i am ok with him being restrained which was about a paragraph long of types of restraint but the head dental tech had no interest in listening at all to anything i said but instead just nodded, smiled and ignored everything i said. If your kid is a distractable kid then they will work for you i am sure but if they are no then run far away fast! We were just there for a consult to see what sedation was an option to be able to even see in his mouth. He is autistic and is not a compliant child which i explained. 2 weeks after this appointment we went to another office and they did everything i suggested and guess what he did a full appointment happily and even got his teeth cleaned. They do not care at all what the parents want and do totally feel they know best. They were so proud they saw his teeth except i see it as going totally against my wishes and being very rough with a child. Also they said it would be $7,000 to knock him out and fix his cavities. Our new dentist we used nitrous and they put caps on his teeth and it cost us about $400.

Make sure you get a 2nd and/or 3rd opinion before proceeding with any treatments here. Was told my child needed extensive dental work and we got two other opinions who said all that work was unwarranted and not necessary- both dentists agreed on the minor work that needed to be done.

Both my kids are patients at Carolina Pediatric dentistry we have been seen Dr. Johnson for over 10 years she has been very generous and caring she is great at what she does, kid friendly office my kids love her and have lots of fun at every visit.

Our children were some of Dr. Johnson's 1st patents they always received outstanding care and always had positive experiences. Dr. Johnson was such an influence to our daughter that she is now a 4th year dental student @ UNC Chapel Hill.

Linda Spruill

Another fun visit! She makes new friends when ever she is in the fun, kiddo friendly waiting area! And Mommie doesn't have to go back with her! They make the kiddos so comfortable they look forward to going in the exam room without us!

We had to switch my daughter's dentist because of change in insurance. I loved where we used to go so I was nervous about bringing her to a new dental office. That nervousness quickly went away! We received a friendly greeting as soon as we walked in the door! Macie was our hygienist and she was AMAZING! She did a fantastic job at making my daughter feel at ease and not scared. We also saw Dr. Morris and he was fantastic! They were both wonderful!

I wanted to find a Pediatric Dentist for my 4-year-old who has never been to the dentist. She has a LOT of energy and loves to wiggle, so I knew she would have a lot of trouble at our Family Dentist (very sparse, longer wait, etc.). This was a perfect fit for her. She started running around in circles and dancing to the music in the waiting room when we entered, and the ladies just smiled at her and said they wished they had her energy. They made her feel comfortable and were so sweet to her. They even managed to get her to sit still for the x-rays! It is very kid-friendly (games to play and cheerful decorations), the staff is super-kind and great with kids (even the wiggly ones), and when we left my daughter said she loved the dentist! Can't say enough good things about them.

Dr. Johnson and her team always make my daughters feel comfortable while there. The environment is very kid friendly. It has a play area that is really fun for kids. It has interactive games placed through out the office. The receptionists are very well mannered and organized unlike the last dentist my kids went to before being referred to carolina pediatric dentistry.

After I read the reviews about this office, I took my 6 years old son as his first dental visit since he was born. I was a little worried about his first encounter with the dentist, but as soon as I walked into the office, that anxiety went away. The entire crew is fantastic. They are polite, friendly, and professional. Each member will greet you with a sincere smile and a warm welcome. The office environment is pleasant and inviting. The front office, Dr. Morris, and the hygienist, Trije (forgive me if I misspelled your name) were exceptional. They were thorough; they explained all procedures and the available options. Best of all, my son was pleased and loved the visit. I don't think that a pediatric dentistry office can get better than this. Thank you all for a great service!.

This place is great! The staff is super friendly and patient. The wait time wasn't long at all! They were able to see both of my daughter's at the same time, which was really convenient. My oldest daughter is high functioning autistic and seemed uneasy at first but thanks to the staff taking their time and being very understanding she opened up and was able to get everything done. I would definitely recommend bringing your children here.

We love Dr. Johnson and the staff at Carolina Pediatric Dentistry. Both my daughter and son are patients of Dr. Johnson. Dr. Johnson and her staff are compassionate with the children and I always feel confident they are getting the best dental care. My daughter is always excited to go and asks frequently when her next appointment is.

Lindsay Yount

My kids absolutely love this place. Friendly staff that are always very helpful!

Always friendly and smiling. Always going above and beyond

My daughter and I visited the office of Dr. LaRee Johnson a few weeks ago and it could not have been any better. My daughter was born with a small hole in her heart, which thankfully turned out to be innocent!! But with heart murmurs you have to be careful when it comes to dentistry. So Kim, who works in the office helped me tract down all the necessary documents. It was not such an easy task. She went above and beyond and got the information needed by tracking down the pediatric cardiologist we saw when my daughter was first born, almost 18 months ago!!! Not only did she get the information needed, but with friendly and patient demeanor. I called her at least four times that day and each time she was helpful and totally understanding. All of this before we were even officially patients!! On the day of the appointment, the care was personal, timely and professional from the minute we walked in until we checked out!! Great customer service and excpectional care, what more can you ask for. Thanks for going the extra mile for us!!!

I used to like this dental office. After my experience today my son will not be back. I worked in Pediatric Dentistry before and you don't try to force a 3 yrs. old to have xrays. And don't come with the refusing xray thing 3 times is a reason for dismissal because from me will not even have a second time. And by the way, I had a sterilization technician doing a "tooth brush" prophy on my child today.

Dr. Morris is a God-send. He and Jessica performed an emergency extraction in the middle of the night for my son, who was in excruciating pain. I tear up remembering how they went straight to him, comforted him, and cheered for him after the procedure. They are beyond expectation in their care of children. Jessica was very direct and loving, and to my surprise, my high-anxiety child was able to go through with the procedure when he never had before. She cycled through every flavor of laughing gas and quoted the Lego Batman movie that he was watching. Dr. Morris let my son keep his nose cover to remember how brave he was. They were even due to be in the hospital the next day to perform dental surgery, but were completely unaffected by this. I've never found another dentist who would respond in the middle of the night. He and Jessica are providers of the utmost integrity and care, even several visits following this experience, and I cannot speak more highly of the two.

Carolina Pediatric Dentistry is great! My daughter absolutely loves going to the dentist. They create a very positive and welcoming environment and the early appointments are so convenient.

Tammy Medlin

I was very impressed with the staff at Carolina Pediatric Dentistry. My son has some special needs and he took to the staff very well. I was a little nervous on how he would do and he did great. I was able to sit out front and let him go back by himself and I waited patiently for him anticipating the staff to come and get me. Boy, I was wrong. I was able to ask him if he liked the dentist and his response was "yeah". I am very pleased with everyone I came in contact with. I am one happy mother.
