I was recommended to Dr. Jaber by a friend who saw amazing improvements with her skin after dealing with severe cystic acne for months. I personally struggled with stubborn bumps and pimples on my forehead and cheeks. While it was considered relatively "mild" acne, every dermatologist I saw never provided me with a treatment that could get rid of it. It's now been almost 2 years since I have been seeing Dr. Jaber and my skin is flawless!! I couldn't believe how easy it was. Dr. Jaber knew exactly what to do and prescribed with simple topical medications that gave me results in the first 3 to 6 months. Since, my skin has only been getting better. I recently saw before and after pictures at my last appointment and nearly died at how bad my skin used to look! SO happy with my experience here at Washington Square Dermatology. IF YOU STRUGGLE WITH ANY TYPE OF STUBBORN ACNE YOU MUST SEE DR. JABER! I can't thank him enough. I am more confident and so happy with my skin.

Dr. Jaber is the best dermatologist I've ever had and have ever heard of, and he truly changed my life. I came to him with bad acne having already been on Accutane which didn't work at all. I was extremely discouraged and upset, and wasn't even going outside because I was so embarrassed by my skin. The first time we met I was crying and so embarrassed and he made me feel at ease and on the first day came up with a clear plan that made sense after listening to my experience and what my goals were. I saw him almost once a week for a few months and would come in really discouraged when I didn't see immediate changes. Even though I was negative and on the verge of giving up, he remained so positive and had utter belief that everything would get better even when I didn't. Now my skin is clear and I'm so proud of it and it is ALL because of him. He is unbelievably caring, intelligent, and kind. I just would like to say Dr. Samer Jaber is very compassionate about his patients and genuinely wants to help them with their acne issues. I've been battling with acne since my teenager years, went to a few dermatologists who only cared about a check trying to rush through patients so they can get out of there. Dr. Jaber took his time, asked questions and LISTENED to me without rushing. That's why I continue to go to him and he helped clear up my ACNE, I may get a bump once in a while but that's nothing compared to how my breakouts use to be. Even though I have travel an hour and a half on bus and train to get to him he's worth it!

I've had 8 dermatologists in my life and Dr. Jaber is by far the best. He is patient, taking the time to listen to me and treats me for both medical (acne, moles) and some minor cosmetic and laser treatments. Unlike other derms he never pushes pricey treatments and has talked me out of doing silly things. I recently started monthly laser treatments and my skin is glowing! His office is beautiful and it feels clean and relaxing unlike most offices in the city. If you have skin issues or just want to look younger but natural go see him.

This is the best experience I have ever had at any doctor’s office! I barely waited at all before I was taken back to the room where Dr. Park was to see me. I brought a magazine with me assuming that it would be another thirty or forty-five minutes until even the assistant saw me. To my surprise, not even a minute after I opened the magazine, Dr. Park’s assistant came in to do the routine intro. She was so friendly and personable and just awesome. Once she left, Dr. Park was not far behind. Dr. Park was also extremely friendly and personable and efficient. I was in and out in less than an hour. I spent months avoiding going to the dermatologist because the last time I went to one, the guy barely looked at me and it was a huge waste of money for 5 minutes. I read all the reviews for Washington Sq. Derm and I figured I’d give it a shot and it was better than I imagined. I have a discolored spot that looked a little suspicious to me that wouldn’t go away, so I wanted to see a professional to stay on the safe side. My biggest fear was that a doctor would see it and not do anything and just say it’s fine. But Dr.Park and Dr.Jaber both took a look at it, gave suggestions as to what it could be, and agreed for a biopsy which is exactly what I wanted. Even though it was a tiny spot and seemed harmless, they really cared to make sure they didn’t miss anything which made me feel a great relief. They both went into deep details with everything, and Dr.Park gave me all the information I needed as far as post care and how long I should expect results in. The procedure was done right then and there. The medical assistants were super nice and professional too. You can just tell that everyone here really cares. I’m from Long Island and i won’t ever go to another dermatologist around my area again, the doctors here at Washington Square Dermatology are amazing and definitely worth the long travel! If you’re hesitant, don’t be. This place is the real deal!

I was struggling with hormonal cystic acne since I was 13. I would break out with large, extremely painful acne around my chin, cheeks, and nose that would last for weeks, even months. By the time I was 19, I had visited many dermatologists in my area in an effort to solve the issue, and was met with failure. On the brink of giving up, I did research one last time and found Washington Square Dermatology. Dr. Jaber’s reviews exuded success with acne patients, so I decided to book an appointment in May 2015. Going in the first time, Dr. Jaber granted me numerous options, including the infamous Accutane. He was very patient and honest with me as to what I should do, but ultimately let me decide my course of action. Being very cautious, I did not want to rush into Accutane, so I decided to try my other options first. Throughout the next 20 months, I had tried everything under the sun, from being on 7 different medications (topical and oral) to modifying my diet for 3 months. By January 2017, I still had terrible acne. In March 2017, I decided to take the leap into Accutane. I was undoubtedly worried about the effects of taking this drug, but Dr. Jaber reassured me that I would be okay and that we can immediately stop if I received extreme side effects. After a few months in, I started to see differences in my skin; I would break out less and the size of my acne dramatically decreased. Of course I encountered the typical side effects of dry skin and the occasional nosebleed, which merely served as an inconvenience in comparison to the horrifying anecdotes online. Regardless of these side effects, the outcome after finishing my course in November 2017 until present-day is remarkable. For the first time in 9 years, I can say that my skin is clear and in my control, and it’s all thanks to Dr. Jaber, Susanna, and the rest of the team. I have never encountered such a genuine and considerate staff that placed patient care and satisfaction at the forefront of their practice. This was for sure a taxing journey, but in every step of it, Dr. Jaber was tremendously patient, encouraging, and empathetic. I would not trade this experience for the world.

What a great experience. Probably the smoothest most delightful and maybe even rewarding "doctors visit" I have had in my life. I don't have insurance and was happy to pay out of pocket especially after the excellent medical advice, care, and service that was provided by P.A. Susanna and Dr. Jaber's team. I haven't been to a doctor in years and this was my first dermatologist visit ever. I wish more medical offices ran and served as well as Washington Square Dermatology. It was easy to find and get to their office location. Upon arriving, I was met with a smile and simple instructions to sign a couple forms (I filled all medical history forms online which was great and a big time saver for both my self and the office). Within minutes of submitting my signed forms I was brought to a private room and was speaking with a medical professional rather quickly there after! Within 10 minutes of my scheduled appointment time (so quick!) I was discussing my seemingly embarrassing skin challenge with P.A. Susanna and immediately felt comfortable and set at ease (I felt like I was in the right place and was going to get the answers and treatment that I needed). Very clean office, wonderful staff (interacted with 4 different people), and an all around positive experience. I have a follow up scheduled in 2 weeks and I'm actually looking forward to another visit to Washington Square Dermatology (I don't think I've said that about any doctors appointment; ever!)

My appointment was for 12:30pm and as of 1:05pm I am still waiting to see the doctor. I arrived at the office around 12:10.I saw people who came in after me get placed into rooms before me and was not sure why that was the case. In fact there was 2 who came after me and went in before me. I only had minor questions to ask the doctor: my acne scarring, surgery scarring, stretch marks, and what is my skin type. I was also hoping to do a body check but it seems the doctor was too busy to do it this time. He asks that I come back in the fall. I am unsure how I feel about waiting 55 minutes to see a doctor for 10 minutes. The lady who does my skin facials asked me more questions about my skin than my doctor did. Although he was able to answer all my questions I was pretty much in n out. It was very different from what I experienced in Miami and other Asian dermatologist who tries to check out your skin to see signs of aging, hyper pigmentation, dark spots, wrinkles. and helps you decide on a prevention care. Maybe if you are looking for someone to assist you in preventative skincare look in Medical Spas? In Korea people just went to dermatologist for that but maybe not in NYC. I was hoping for some botox, sunscreen, vitamin c, and retinal suggestions too...

Dr Jaber is my favourite doctor ! He is always extremely kind and helpful and has good suggestions and knows everything you can imagine about your epidermis. He doesn’t rush you and everyone here treats you like a person and not a number. Also I never have to wait more than 5 seconds to go in. The staff are very sweet and patient. I can be pretty annoying to deal with but they are always extremely patient with my angst. If you need a derm you should go here.

I was referred to Dr. Jaber from a coworker who raved about how good his office was. I went to 2 doctors prior to my visit and was told a small circular white spot on my face was just a loss of pigment and not a big deal. Literally within 8 seconds of seeing me Dr. Jaber stated positively that it was cancer and it needed to be biopsied. It was Basel cell carcinoma and was removed within 48 hours. If not for Dr. Jaber’s expertly trained eye who knows how long I would have left that spot to grow. I couldn’t give a higher recommendation for a dermatologist! He is expertly trained and competent and also extremely kind and nice. His staff is also extremely professional and make you feel very welcome.

For years my reservations about Accutane had kept me from starting treatment, but the depth of knowledge, frankness, and affability I met with on my first visit with Dr. Jaber convinced me to embark on a course of treatment that was one of best decisions I’ve ever made. Dr Jaber is in my opinion the best dermatologist in New york. I have suffered with acne for the last 10 years of my life on and off. I have been to so many dermatologists all around the world and all of them would provide treatments that would never be permanent. Dr Jaber was extremely patient and takes time to understand your skin before jumping into treatments. My skin was completely clear of acne 2 months into the treatment(I went on accuntane after we tried other tropicals and birth controls for 3 months ) and has been clear for the last 6 months with no acne even during that time of the month.It was a long journey of 12 months but it was done right to make my skin beautiful for the rest of my life. I appreciate it when your doctor takes time to work with you on your skin and personal goals(I told him I want to try to have a kid in a year's time and we worked our treatment around it). I am not the kind of person who writes reviews and this happens to be my first review ever. I would recommend him to anyone with any type of skin problems and he knows what he is doing. His staff are extremely sweet and they go out the way to help out for any logistics at their office or with the third parties(with the blood work that needed to be done every month before the visit). Dr jaber is also the kind of doctor who does not recommend treatments just for the heck of it or to make money out of his patients. Even when I asked him if I can do laser etc etc to improve the texture of my skin ( the excitement to have clear skin after 10 years :) ) , he recommended to leave it alone and explained the reason behind it with how I could do a good skin care routine to fix it. I am writing this to put my honest experience with Dr Jaber, hoping it would help someone else in finding their perfect skin expert.

Dr. Park was very friendly and made me feel comfortable right off the bat. I made an appointment with Dr Jaber but met Susanna Franks instead. She is great and helpful when i meet her. Her team however is not following her orders and i have encounter a lot of problems to get my prescription filled correctly with the pharmacy. CVS is doing a great job contacting them proactively and they refuse to fill my prescription unless i come back to see the doctor. When i see the doctor, she tells me it's fine and i don't have to come back so often as she checked my skin but her team doesn't follow the doctor directions and it is impossible to reach the doctor. I understand there are in the business of making money and see me as often as possible but really i don't have time to keep visiting the doctor for each prescription. It is very frustrating and impacting my treatment negatively. They do not seem to care for that.

Dr Jaber has completely saved my skin. I started seeing Dr Jaber 3 years ago. Since, he has cured my acne with a combination of treatments fit to my needs and performed 5 Fraxel 1550 laser treatments (each a month apart) for scarring. My skin is now at a place I ...for very long time.. did not think was possible. Since doing the Fraxel, I have received many compliments from friends/family/colleagues.
