Union Square Laser Dermatology is top notch. I have been to multiple dermatologists and this office is head and shoulders above the rest. I came into the office to solve three long standing issues 1) Back Hair 2) Excessive underarm sweat 3) Submental area fat. Dr. Robyn Gmyrek (who is wonderful) crafted a solution of laser hair removal for the back hair, Mira-dry for the underarms, and Kybella for my neck. My treatments have been very effective and have exceeded my expectations. One of the larger selling points of the practice is the seamless process between the office, doctor, nursing staff, and patient. I was kept informed throughout the whole process by Dr. Gmyrek and the Nursing Staff (Katie) so there was nothing unexpected. The nursing staff is a huge selling point for this practice, I found them extremely knowledgeable and were able to answer with depth my questions regarding post procedure care. All in all a wonderful experience and one that I have confidently recommended to friends and family

The facility is beautiful, the staff are amazing and I couldn't be more happy with the results from everything I have had done there. I highly recommend this place. I've had the opportunity to see Dr. Chapas, Dr. MacGregor, Dr. Gmyrek, AND Dr Chwalek, so I can say with confidence, that you can't go wrong with any of them. I used to be apprehensive about Botox and filler because I didn't want to change my face, I only wanted to "age gracefully" (can you blame me?). I have not been disappointed. Now, I recommend Botox and filler to anyone who is interested.

I've been to a few of the doctors depending on my schedule, and they are all fantastic and have changed the state of my skin over just a couple short months. They're also just lovely people and make you comfortable. They conduct a lot of the latest cosmetic derm research and train other docs across the nation, so I really trust them. Definitely recommend Dr. Idriss for natural-looking fillers and Dr. MacGregor for laser skin rejuvenation and body contouring.

I do not recommend this facility, especially Dr. MacGregor. I had been coming here for two years for Fraxel Laser. They increased the prices on numerous occasions. On August 11, 2015, they tried to increase the prices again, right before the treatment started. I explained that I had just had a price increase 4 months earlier and that it was inappropriate to ask for an increase right before the service. Dr. MacGregor came in shortly and after a brief discussion on the amount of energy and strength of the Fraxel treatment that I wanted she understood clearly that I wanted the same exact energy and treatment as I had had in April. She ended up giving me a much weaker treatment than I agreed to. I had this identical treatment done on many occasions and this time I healed in one day instead of weeks. When I complained to Steve, their spokesperson, he laughed and talked above me so that he didn't have to hear what I was saying. I intend on taking this complaint to several outside authorities. I did not receive the treatment that I was billed for. Avoid this Facility and especially Dr. MacGregor.

I have been seeing Dr. Chang for bad rosacea that I have had for many years... She is really knowledgeable about the condition and all the treatment options. I've been getting excelV and vbeam laser treatments with her and my skin complexion is the best it has ever been!! I've also had some injectables (juvederm filler) with her recently and LOVE how she just naturally enhanced my features. Thank you for being so kind and patient! Her staff at the clinic are also really nice and professional.

The worst experience of my life! I drove nearly two hours for my appointment with Dr.Shereen Idriss only to be curtly turned away because she supposedly had to leave for another appointment. When I asked why I wasn't informed of this sudden change ahead of time as a courtesy, all I received was a blank stare and a canned response from her office manager. I was warned by a former client of hers who recommended that I find another more competent and less arrogant dermatologist and now I know why. I would suggest she focus less on her "Pillow Talk" series and more on basic etiquette and professionalism towards her patients.

I saw Dr Jennifer Macgregor. She suggested a laser procedure, which I later found out from other physicians, was not appropriate for my condition. I was also shocked by her poor knowledge of basic medical dermatology. She prescribed Retin-A for a dermatitis condition, a treatment protocol that was medically incorrect. Based on my experience I would advise potential patients to find a much more qualified physician.

Dr. Chwalek is the best! Aside from my yearly body checks, I’ve recently begun seeing her for laser hair removal. After a bad experience at a med-spa, she was quick to put my concerns at ease. I’ve had only one of the 4-6 treatments recommended and I’ve already noticed a change in hair growth. I felt comfortable in Dr. Chwalek’s care and I’ll definitely return for the remainder of my treatments. Not to mention, the office is stunning - And the staff is always so accommodating!

Thank you so much USLD and Dr. Chang!! I have suffered from undereye hollowness and shadowing for most of my life, and I have tried innumerable creams and cover-up to try to mask it. Dr. Chang recommended filler treatments for me, and although I was apprehensive at first, I trusted her and decided to go ahead with the procedure. I noticed an IMMEDIATE difference and am so happy with the results! I now do not need to wear any cover up, and I am getting compliments from all my friends about how refreshed and youthful I look. Best thing is that it looks so natural. I will be going back regularly now to Dr. Chang; next I will get lasers for my brown spots!!

I've been a fan of USLD for many years now. The office is serene and immaculate. The staff are friendly and welcoming. I went to see Dr. Idriss recently for "anti-aging" treatment and to minimize the appearance of my open heart surgey scar. Dr. Idriss is a rockstar. She has a great personality and she's really talented. I admit I look a bit beat up after the treatments, but within days I'm looking better than ever. My chest scar is significantly less visible which makes me less self concious. I think its a great office and I recommend USLD and Dr. Idriss highly.

I have been seeing Dr. Claire Chang at Union Square Laser for about a year now for some resurfacing lasers (Clear and brilliant), botox, filler, and I cannot speak more highly of her. She takes her time with her patients and explains all the procedures thoroughly. She is very honest about her opinions, and you can tell she really cares (so hard to find this in a NYC doctor!!). I recently had an amazing visit with Dr. Chang after finding her through social media/instagram, and I am so happy that I found her!! I've had bad experiences with other dermatologists in NYC before, but she was so nice and caring, took her time to explain all the procedures to me carefully and what to expect, and very knowledgeable. I got botox and fillers in my tear troughs for dark circles, and I am THRILLED with the results. She is truly one of the best dermatologists in the city!

I read the reviews here and thought I'd give this place a chance. I'm very light skinned so derm checks are very important to me, I've been in NYC now for 4 years and really wanted to find a place that id be happy to stick with and I'm excited to say this is the spot! Super modern offices and waiting room, very clean and the staff and doctors are all super professional and friendly! Wait time was less that 5 minutes. I went in for a general checkup, Dr Chwalleg? (I may have just killed her name) was extemely thorough and knowledgable, she found a spot that needed to be biopsied, a couple of numbing shots that I seriously didn't even feel (not exaggerating) and less that a minute it was done. I pointed out a few cosmetic spots that I may want to laser in the future (the prices for that are a 3rd of what I had expected) All in all, great experience, I absolutely reccomend!

She has made me look 5-10 years younger, and I have started to get so many compliments after I started seeing her. My medical facial with the lead aesthetician Rhea was a wonderful treat to myself. Rhea is extremely experienced. She doesn’t even need to use steam for her extractions, it was so precise and painless with medical-grade oxygen. I was expecting the facial to be cut-and-dry because I'm at a medical office, so I was pleasantly surprised that you don't sacrifice luxury or ambience one bit. The plush robe, private room, thread count on the bed... the massage! She used all these amazing technologies and custom serums. Afterwards, Rhea totally revamped my skincare routine, but I like that she never put down any of my products and worked around what I already had. Pro tip: be prepared to SPLURGE, but it’s worth it!! I’m still going strong with the skincare routine she prescribed, and even my boyfriend notices the change in my skin texture! I’ll be back soon, thank you Rhea!
