I was extremely pleased by the level of service and care I received during my visit. A rather sensitive procedure needed to be performed and I was made to feel as comfortable as possible. I was also seen right away and the office looks and feels more like a relaxing spa than a doctor's office. Further I was able to schedule a follow up visit for another procedure that other dermatologists for some reason made difficult to have done, I highly recommend this practice.

I went to the 135 west 70th street Manhattan office and it was very well maintained and very pleasant people working there. The Doctor and his assistant was very nice. The only concern would be the exterminator came in to the office spraying pesticide while the clients were in the waiting area. I think that should had been done before or after office hours so we don’t have to breathe that. I would definitely recommend this office to anyone.

BEWARE OF THIS OFFICE !!!first off let me say that as A a patient and B a person who works in a medical practice the office itself is horrible i wouldnt send a corpse there for treatment .for one you can never get through on the phone EVER!!!!! they constantly hang up or just leave you on hold and if you do get through to make a appt its always same day or the day after but this is where things get tricky they fit you in the dr is amazing btw so is the office in terms of being beautiful BUT forget about it, when it comes to when the prescription being called in it can take anywhere from 2 weeks to about a month lol no joke and if you need a prior authorization say bye bye its never gonna happen happened to me twice and if you want records sent over according to his secretary they have to be reviewed by the dr which can take anywhere from a month as well the staff have attitudes with you when all you want are your information or prescription now i have to start the process all over and thank god found a amazing dermatologist who saw me same day and called my prescription over while in office and i got it same day !

Had visits that were fine and helpful and others that were cursory and almost dismissive and ineffective. Follow up on inquiries is poor. So overall hot or miss: But if you need to figure out what is going on in a pinch, you can at least book an appointment to check quickly and get some intel. In my case a pediatric dermatologist was so much more helpful and effective in a few visits than this office was in many.

Dr. Buka is a professional, and he also cares about his patients. I had hard time paying for treatment, and he worked something out with me, insisting that I will come for a follow up which was important for my treatment. Sometimes you need a doctor to step in where your insurance wouldn't, and this is this kind of doc.

This place is total fraud... I went with the xpectations that a doctor would be seeing me and instead I had an incompetent pa who mascaraded as a doctor and didn’t have any clue what he was doing... I then spoke to some lady named Liz who was not only not helpful she was rude unwilling and a complete idiot ... I then asked to speak to someone that is a higher up in the firm and she claim to be the number one person and any and all deductions went through her ... this place is total garbage and I am contacting my attorney as well as the state of New York regarding the business practice along with the customer service or lack there of to this company Definitely don’t go there!!!! Called this location to get in touch with anyone about my boss's appointments... Sadly, no matter which number you press, you're tossed into a long loop of recorded mess before you hear a ring.. back to the loop. Another ring.. back to the loop.. and THEN.. a voicemail explaining they're helping someone else and will get back to you soon.. Attempted this chaos several times, have yet to speak to someone. I was trying to be sure they were running "on time" seeing as how they seem to be late with appointments.

I am writing a review so that no-one else has to run into the problems and headache like I did, and wasted so much time like I did. Their billing people were just horrific. They did not bill the insurance until months have passed, and the last date to file for HRA expired. Because of their mistake, I had to pay $500+ out-of-pocket. Had they sent in the bill in a timely manner, the insurance company would have paid that amount. I was furious. That's not enough. 2 years later they called me about the issue again after I paid them in full 2 freaking years ago! This is not an acceptable behavior and not how patients should be treated. Save yourself and go somewhere else.

I was hoping to go here as a first time patient and had a very unpleasant experience with the receptionist over the phone. They were very rude and consistently interrupted instead of listening to concerns that I had as a first time patient. Its so disappointing since I was recommended this doctor though a friend and was hoping to have a positive experience. I had made an appointment and then when they called to confirm the time it was for a different time then previously stated and then I was told I need a referral from my insurance company (Fidelis) even after I spent hours yesterday on the phone with the doctors office and Fidelis confirming that I didn't. Then the receptionist told me that I may need to bring additional documents to be sure I wasn't billed as a specialist visit which made no sense since I had mention I spoke with my insurance and that this was just preventative care. She was over all very rude and confrontational. If they treat prospective new patients this badly I am amazed they even keep their business. Complete waste of time and energy just to even try to see the doctor. Don't waste your time.

I’ve been coming to this location for years as I’m conveniently located a block away. The staff is kind, the office is clean but you will get scammed if you are not specific about what you want. Not only have I been double/triple charged by “accident” on more than one occasion but most recently, I went for Dysport for horizontal lines in the forehead and for whatever reason the physician’s assistant found it suitable to administer for crow’s feet (mind you, I’m 29, not 70, and no such thing has even begun to form) and then I was charged $600, after waiting for the physician’s assistant to wrap up a casual conversation in an office not far from my patient room. My appointment started an hour after it was scheduled. So not only was I inconvenienced by a late appt (common, at this location), but I’ve now received Dysport in areas I did not ask for when my previous treatments are clearly outlined in the computer’s visit history. The money is one thing, but to not ask investigative questions surrounding your patient’s needs and to eagerly inject my face is alarming.

My usual “ fancy” park ave dermatologist couldn’t see me for six weeks (!) so I tried The Dermatology Specialists neighborhood derm office on the west side. They were great. Doctor Doktor (yup - cool name) was did a more thorough skin cancer screening than my usual doctor. The PA was really nice and helpful and the front desk friendly. The office is small but not your usual stodgy and messy doctor office - creative and interesting decor. I highly recommend them.

Went on zocdoc because i was having allergic reactions and found this doctor from this dermatology place. When I got there, it was a complete waste of my time! They said the doctor wasn’t available, wasn’t even there physically! And that the doctor who was there didn’t accept any insurance! They shouldn’t have scheduled dr Rhee on zocdoc if she was on vacation in the firstplace!! Complete waste of time and the people there weren’t helpful AT ALL!!

Be aware! I've been here before once and I liked my experience. I came back to remove a skin tag in the same area as I had before. The doctor told me that it's wart, not a skin tag. I wasn't advice about the price. I had no idea that procedure doesn't guarantee the results. I would NEVER do it if I knew that the cost would be $975 for a 10 minutes visit. And now I have two warts instead of one! It's clearly fraud to make more money on people like me who believe in the best doctor's intentions and don't ask questions because I assume that a doctor will inform you about everything. Stay away! P.S. The woman who is a manager of a billing department was extremely rude! Horrible experience!

Scam Office - Today, the office would not tell me (or doesn't know) cost of Botox units, in advance of an appointment. I called to make an appointment at their LIC office, and asked for the cost of Botox units. The first woman had no idea what that meant; the second woman told me $250 per area and $600 for the whole face. This is not the professional, nor medical standard. Botox is administered in units and areas require different units. A unit is usually $15-20. I asked her again, on a per unit basis and she said "$250 per unit" and hung up on me. I would avoid this place like the plague. They want you to come in to charge for an appointment without a baseline price. I also would not trust their dilution ratios if they are claiming to do your whole face for $600. Not professional; a bit of a scam, IMHO.

I had a skin emergency. I had a rash break out on over 70% of my body. Needless to say I was hysterical. Dr. Buka’s office agreed to see me as an emergency patient regardless of my insurance. They not only made me feel welcomed the made me aware as to what was going on. A skin biopsy was done the same day and medications were prescribed. They staff at 70th Street is AMAZING. Thank you so much.

I really enjoy this office. For starters as soon as you walk in the decor is very different from any other, pretty eccentric. I enjoy just looking and reading the different things posted on the walls. I've never waited anything more than 10 minutes to be called into the office and the Doctors are great. They're personable and efficient. I totally would recommend Bobby Bukas Office. It's welcoming, clean, and quick.

Worst experience I’ve ever had with a doctors office. Because of their mess ups I haven’t been able to get a needed medication for 2 months and now need to get new blood work and pay another co-pay just to get a new prescription. Wasted 2 months of my life, $100 dollars, 2 blood drawings, and 10 hours of phone calls between the pharamacy and doctors office. AVOID if possible.

Whereas I have no complaints about the medical services I received, I cannot say the same about the front desk or accounts receivable functions. First, the front desk did not even acknowledge my presence. Instead, the two people behind the desk were preoccupied with showing each other things on their cell phones. After at least 5 minutes of this, I interrupted them and was treated rudely (at best). After seeing the doctor (who was delightful and seemed more than competent), I stopped by the front desk to inquire about payment. I was asked if insurance would pay for this, and I explained that, because I have a high-deductible policy, either way I would pay out of pocket. They said that they were going to submit in nonetheless. When I received my bill in the weeks that followed, I was surprised by $711 office visit, so I called. I was told that they charge a higher rate to insurance than to private pay, so I was now facing the insurer-rate. I reminded them of our in-office conversation, i.e., that I was going to pay out of pocket, and that I would like to be charged the private-pay rate. The person told me that they would call me back. They never did. Instead, I got a follow up invoice (sent from a central office). I called the number on this invoice and was rather friendly and courteous. The front-line person was nice, but told me that she had to escalate this her manager. Her manager, Alicia, was anything but nice. Instead, she just cited the notes submitted by the local office that did not say anything about my "out of pocket conversation" during my office visit. Given the lack of professionalism that I saw firsthand during my office visit, it didn't surprise me that comprehensive and accurate notes were taken. Alicia was not at all open to that. In fact, when I suggested that the front desk staff was incompetent and unprofessional, she implied that I was a racist (crazy talk, as anyone who knows me would attest). I asked to speak with her supervisor, and she refused - instead, just said that she would refer my bill to collections (invoice dated 22 days ago - far from being overdue).

Excellent location. Fun, informative staff. Beautiful office on West 70 and super convenient to the 1 train (be sure to check out the nifty wallpaper and toilet if you hit up the john). I’m currently under Dr Luke D’Agostino’s care and he is absolutely terrific. I really won’t ever go anywhere else, especially after seeing quite a few specialists in NJ, who were less than stellar.

My initial experience with the 70th Street office wasn't pleasant. The office didn't open until about 5 minutes before 8am. With their door directly on the street, there is no place to wait, so you must find a coffee shop or stand on the sidewalk. Entering the office, it was very hot and uncomfortable, throughout my visit. Now, the good: staff was very polite and courteous and they took me very shortly after opening their doors. The doctor providing the exam was friendly, attentive and very informative on what she found and din't find. Overall, the visit was a positive one.

Don't go to this office. The secretaries are constantly on Facebook instead of answering patient phone calls or paying attention to the patients that are actually there in the waiting room. Dr. Rhee only pretends to examine you, but the brunt of the work is actually done by the medical assistants (who are very good, but they don't substitute a doctor). The only thing I can honestly say this office accomplished successfully is getting my insurance to approve the medications Dr. Rhee prescribed.
