Alexandra Gold was fine. She looked at my skin and managed to find a product/prescription or two I hadn't tried yet. I don't appreciate that they made me buy their brand of $35 2% glycolic acid pads, when I could easily find the same product at a retail store. Furthermore, they use a "special pharmacy" that delivers the medication to you, and they claim they get better coverage with this pharmacy, but I'm supposed to pay a $100 copay per medication, which I happen to know are not nearly that expensive if you get them at a regular pharmacy. The doctors may have good expertise, but I'm not sure why they don't let you use your regular pharmacy. Update: I went back to see if the prescriptions could be changed to generic brands, and Dr. Gold was really kind to call the pharmacy and get that worked out. I still had been playing phone tag with the pharmacy, which was annoying, and one of the medications wasn’t delivered until 3 days after they said it would be. Clearly this has nothing to do with Schweiger Dermatology as a practice, but it’s still worth mentioning since they do kind of make you use this pharmacy.

I was very blessed and fortunate to have Dr. Nazarian. What can I say? She has a great staff with her, the funny assistant Dante and the wonderful and ever smiling receptionist Jessica. Dr. Nazarian is very talented with what she does. I had a cyst for a very long time in the middle of my head on display for the world to see ( it was removed before but the first doctor at a different location was not thorough with the removal). Not only was Dr. Nazarian caring, understanding, and extremely polite she took her time with the procedure and made sure that nothing was left of the cyst!!! When I told her the cyst was removed before and grew back she mentioned during the operation that she could still see the lining of the first one still there, she got rid of that as well. Throughout the operation she was always making sure I was comfortable and I truly appreciated that.Thankfully...because of her I feel like a new man! Should I ever need to visit a dermatologist again..it will definitely be with her!! Thank you Dr. Nazarian!!!

I have struggled to feel comfortable and confident with a dermatologist for most my life until I stumbled on Dr. Nazarian. I had an issue with rosacae last year that multiple providers were unable to assist me with. Once I saw Dr. Nazarian she had me on the right track immediately. My symptoms were mostly gone within two months, which was amazing. I now want to maintain my clear skin and feel confident Dr. Nazarian will help me with this. I saw her again this week and she continues to be a good balance of knowledgable and confident as well as conservative and respectful of my hesitations when it comes to medication and/or changes to routine. I actually feel hopeful and confident with a dermatologist, finally and I look forward to dealing with any skin challenges in the future with her and the practice. Highly recommend. I'm editing my review to add a current review. I saw Dr. Nazarian again this week for a new skin concern I had on my lip of all places! I was nervous worrying it could be skin cancer or some sort of other issue that would be with me for life. Dr. Nazarian was very warm and helpful. She lasered it on the spot and helped me understand what to expect. I truly feel at ease with her and believe that I can trust her expertise. She really knows what she is doing & she is a true example of a great doctor. You will be in good hands if you work with Dr. Nazarian. Her staff is always very welcoming and professional. The office manager Adele always gets back to super quickly and is very nice!

Alexandra treats both my daughter for acne, and myself for sunspots. What a phenomenal job! She is very thorough, knowledgeable, and welcoming, answering every question we have. My complexion is much more even and I have received many compliments. My daughter has such new found confidence and is even comfortable seeing Alexandra on her own. Never really satisfied with the dermatologists I have seen over the years, I decided to try Schweiger Dermatology on the Upper West side of Manhattan. I made an appointment with Alexandra Gold and to my absolute delight ,she was one of the best I have encountered. I had Botox and juvaderm and the results were stunning! More than I had anticipated! Alexandra is a real pro! Left there in high spirits! Thank you Alexandra!

Same as the folks reviews down there. I was in and out of that office in less than 20 min. Bill came out as $575 - $250 for the office outpatient (for a visit of up to 30 min) and $325 for an 'acne surgery' which is laughable. It was what my spa lounge does, squeezing oil from my pores. When I agreed to it, I expected tools like those in Korea or microneedles. Nope! We're talking good ol' squeezing the skin with tools I have at HOME and do myself. And even then, the spa charges so much less and actually covers the entire face! Unacceptable price tag and description. Liked the 'doctor' who seemed to be on her residency/rotation, but feeling very cheated that it was a diagnosis by someone who doesn't seem to know my skin much better than I do. I could've told you all about AHA/BHA and that it was a pimple. What I needed to know was why there was discoloration! Simple as that.

I have only ever had extremely positive reviews for Schweiger Dermatology and Alexandra Gold. She has always treated me kindly, written out a care plan for me, and has been both knowledgeable and efficient with my visits. My skin has improved significantly because of the treatment plan she gave me. I continue to come even though she is not covered by my insurance because I appreciate the way I have been treated.

I have had 2 allergic reactions after my one appointment last week. They ask me to pay another $125 to help me out with it. I don't have that kind of money for a place that may just keep making my skin worse.

Had a great experience here yesterday! I visited to discuss eczema and acne. Made an appointment quickly via Zocdoc. Was greeted with exceptional warmth by Tasha at the front desk, who pointed out the restroom, water dispenser, Keurig machine, and phone charging station. Was only a short wait til a nurse, Carla, brought me back. She was incredibly sweet, efficient, and professional. She stayed while the PA, Alexandra Gold, came in. The appointment was really quick but not at all rushed. By the time I left, my new prescriptions had been sent to the pharmacy to be delivered tomorrow, I had samples in-hand, I was given hand-written instructions to follow, and I had an appointment for a follow-up. Easy and comfortable.

First time patient and my experience was fantastic. Receptionist was very professional and nice to talk to. Sign in was easy. Was called in punctually at my scheduled appointment time (which never seems to happen anywhere else doctor or specialist related). I saw Dr. Alexandra at the upper west side office. It was my first visit, but it did not take too long before I got to see doctor Rachel Nazarian, she was very nice and explained and answered all my questions! Prescribed me a treatment that was shipped to me the next day, but also gave me free samples so I can start using it right away! The staff was very nice and I felt very comfortable! I would recommend!

I recently had an appointment with Alexandra Gold for several treatments. She took exceptional care of me and made me feel so comfortable in her care. She was thorough and honest with me, which I really appreciate. I had come in when I had multiple breakouts on my face and she was able to give me a red/blue light treatment the same day. My skin immediately improved and she was able to put me on a regimen that has been able to clear my skin completely. I always trust what she says and I have recommended her to several friends.

My experience at Schweitzer Dermatology was less than favorable. Alexandra Gold had me in and out of the chair in literally 5 minutes. I didn't feel like she cared about my condition at all. Her professional etiquette was cold, and she could benefit from some training on how to be more warm to her patients and hear their needs and concerns. My insurance pays good money for me to have the best care and this dermatology office did not meet my expectations. I left feeling like I wasted my time. I will not be returning for a follow up.

I had terrible acne for years but coming here was the solution I've been waiting for. I was put on antibiotics that cleared up my skin so much, plus some topical creams. They also have cortisone shots for stubborn cystic pimples that makes them go away in 3 days. After finishing the antibiotics I broke out pretty badly, but it was the same week as my period so I'm hoping that was the reason. Since then, my skin has been better and so much clearer than before I started. Absolutely recommend

great practice (96th is the one I attended). Amazing prompt wait time and really nice friendly professional staff. It's so nice when a doctors office respects your time and that carries over into their professional practice. If they can do it, then most doctors offices could follow suit!
